We present a method for designing an open acoustic cloak that can conceal a perturbation on flat ground and simultaneously meet the requirement of communication and matter interchange between the inside and the outside of the cloak. This cloak can be constructed with a multilayered structure and each layer is an isotropic and homogeneous medium. The design scheme consists of two steps: firstly, we apply a conformal coordinate transformation to obtain a quasi-perfect cloak with heterogeneous isotropic material; then, according to the profile of the material distribution, we degenerate this cloak into a multilayered-homogeneous isotropic cloak, which has two open windows with negligible disturbance on its invisibility performance. This may greatly facilitate the fabrication and enhance the applicability of such a carpet-type cloak.  相似文献

A coordinate-transformation method can be used to design invisibility cloaks for many types of waves, including acoustic waves. The traditional method for designing a cloak depends on a transformation from a virtual space to a physical space. Previous acoustic cloaks that are mainly designed with linear-transformation-based acoustics have drawbacks that acoustic wave trajectories in the cloaks cannot be controlled and tuned. This work uses a nonlinear mapping from a ray trajectory perspective to construct acoustic cloaks with tunable non-singular material properties. Use of a ray trajectory equation is a straightforward and alternate way to study propagation characteristics of different types of waves, which allows more flexibility in controlling the waves. A broadband cylindrical cloak for acoustic waves in an inviscid fluid is realized with layered non-singular, homogeneous, and isotropic materials based on a nonlinear transformation. Some advantages and improvements of the invisibility nonlinear-transformation cloak over a traditional linear-transformation cloak are analyzed. The invisibility capability of the nonlinear-transformation cloak can be tuned by adjusting a design parameter that is shown to have influence on the acoustic wave energy flowing into the region inside the cloak. Numerical examples show that the nonlinear-transformation cloak is more effective for making a domain undetectable by acoustic waves in an inviscid fluid and shielding acoustic waves from outside the cloak than the linear-transformation cloak in a broad frequency range. The methodology developed here can be used to design nonlinear-transformation cloaks for other types of waves.  相似文献

基于线变换方法与互补媒质理论提出了线变换下的椭圆柱外隐身斗篷,并得到了相应外隐身斗篷材料本构参数张量的表达式.根据导出的本构参数张量,利用电磁仿真软件分别对不同长度线段的外斗篷进行了仿真验证,仿真结果证实了所得到的本构参数张量的正确性.这种外斗篷的材料参数只在轴向变化,横向参数为常数,易于用超介质制备.考虑到损耗对隐身效果的影响,得到了引入损耗后的外斗篷磁场分布.最后给出了本构参数的分布.本文的研究为利用超介质制备外隐身斗篷提供了一种新的可行的方法.  相似文献

 利用有限元方法分析了TE波辐射下,超材料椭圆柱斗篷的电磁特性。研究发现:当超材料的介电常数、磁导率和电导率偏离理论值0.5%时,斗篷外的电场发生了明显变化;当材料的介电常数、磁导率和电导率为理论值时,不论在斗篷内放置什么特性的材料,也不论斗篷内壁上的边界条件如何,超材料椭圆柱斗篷都具有隐形作用。  相似文献

With the advent of thermal metamaterials, many new thermal functionalities have been proposed, like thermal cloaking, concentrating, etc. However, these thermal functionalities are based on the transformation thermotics or scattering cancellation technique, which, derived from Fourier's law, cannot apply to the micro-/nanoscale counterparts. In this paper, we design a nanoscale thermal cloak based on a crystalline silicon (Si) membrane and investigate the in-plane phonon transport via non-equilibrium molecular dynamics (NEMD) simulation by in-situ tuning the thermal conductivity of the thermal cloak from crystalline Si to amorphous Si. The two-dimensional temperature profile is obtained, and the thermal cloaking effect is evaluated by the ratio of heat flux. By analyzing the phonon density of state (PDOS) and the mode participation ratio (MPR), the mechanism can be attributed to the phonon localization in the annealed cloaking region. The proposed nanoscale thermal cloak by in-situ tuned thermal conductivity, may trigger the development of nanoscale thermal functionalities and open avenues for and thermal management for nano-photonics and nano-electronics.  相似文献

In this paper, the properties of cylindrical high permittivity dielectric particles are studied. A design for broadband reduction of the scattering signature of metallic objects is proposed by implementing simplified ground-plane cloaking schemes. The devices are functional in the presence of a ground plane as well as in free space ranging from 4 GHz to 10 GHz. The required dielectric map for the cloak is achieved by means of manipulating the dimensions of the periodically distributed dielectric cylinders embedded in a host medium with a permittivity close to one. The scattering reduction effects are verified through simulation results. The proposed all dielectric cloaks are advantageous over other schemes due to their non-dispersive nature, the broad bandwidth, the low loss, and the ease of fabrication.  相似文献

基于变换热力学,导出了具有非共形任意横截面的柱形热斗篷热导率表达式,并在此基础上设计了具有非共形横截面的柱形热斗篷.全波仿真结果表明,热斗篷迫使外部热流绕过斗篷,导致隐身区域热通量为零,从而具有热保护功能;同时,热流绕过斗篷后将恢复原来的温度场分布,使其具有完美热隐身功能.此外,基于所导出的变换媒质热导率表达式,设计并求解了具有规则共形和非规则共形横截面的柱形热斗篷,发现它们同样具有热保护和完美热隐身功能.这表明通过选择适当的边界函数,所得变换媒质热导率表达式可用于设计任意横截面柱形热斗篷,具有普遍的适用性,这种技术在计算机芯片、卫星和航天器等的热保护中有潜在应用.  相似文献

基于变换光学理论和互补媒质理论,提出了新型椭圆形互补隐身斗篷的设计方法,并得到了本构参数张量表达式,利用基于有限元算法的电磁仿真软件对该模型进行了全波仿真验证,结果证实了所得到的表达式的正确性,这种隐身斗篷不仅能够实现对位于其内部的物体隐身,而且电磁波能透进隐身斗篷内部进而可以与外界进行通信。  相似文献

We present examples of theoretically-predicted invisibility cloaks with shapes other than spheres and cylinders, including cones and ellipsoids, as well as shapes spliced from parts of these simpler shapes. In addition, we present an example explicitly displaying the non-uniqueness of invisibility cloaks of the same shape.
