We have used Low-Energy Electron Microscopy (LEEM) to study the formation and structure of the surface alloy of Bi on the Cu(1 1 1) surface. As a function of Bi coverage we find a progression from a dilute surface alloy to a structure, which coexists with a Bi overlayer when the Bi coverage exceeds 1/3 ML. At a temperature of 401 K, an unusual formation of alloy domains is observed. The origin of this effect is traced down to the mobility of Bi adatoms, which is found to strongly depend on the Bi coverage of the surface alloy on which they reside.  相似文献

目前国内外通过在AC发泡剂中添加各种促进剂进而获得改性AC的方法已成为一种趋势。添加何种改性剂无疑是研究改性AC的关键。因此定性分析AC中的改性剂,对改性AC的研发将有极大的帮助。文章应用由作者在Vibrational Spectroscopy上首次提出的薄层色谱显微傅里叶红外联用的方法,鉴定出某改性AC中一种罕见添加剂的官能团,结合元素分析及化学物性分析等,推测出此添加剂的结构。通过对推测物质碎裂机理的解释和未知添加剂质谱图的分析,进一部验证了该添加剂为所推测的物质。这种鉴定方法同样适用于AC中其他无标准图谱的改性剂分析。  相似文献

The mechanical properties of Mater-Bi® are, in general, not adequate for certain applications and the addition of a filler is therefore necessary. Among the different fillers, natural fibres are particularly interesting because they potentially allow improving the performance of the material without compromising its biodegradability.In order to improve the basic mechanical properties of a Mater-Bi grade and to obtain a new, fully biodegradable material, wood flour based composites were prepared by different processing methods. To simulate actual and not laboratory bacterial attack on the prepared materials, in this work we studied the biodegradation of the composites in a real active sewage sludge reactor. In particular, the biodegradation rates were investigated with reference to different pre-treatments of the materials and different environmental conditions (summer and winter). The results showed that wood flour enhances the biodegradability of the materials. The results indicated also strong relationships between the surface roughness and the biodegradation rates (in particular, higher roughness leads to wider bacterial attack). The different processing techniques had direct effects on the overall biodegradation rates. In particular, when higher smoothness and packing is achieved, the biodegradation rate is lower. The mechanical analysis indicated that adding wood flour to Mater-Bi has positive effects on the elastic modulus, but when the bacterial attack becomes critical, a general sudden drop of the mechanical properties is observed.  相似文献

We report the indirect detection of the magnetization of one spin species via the NMR signal of a second species. Our method relies on the control of long-range dipolar fields between two separate objects, in this case, a water droplet (sensor) immersed in a tube containing mineral oil (sample). Unlike prior experiments, no gradient pulses are used; rather, the setup geometry is exploited to select the part of the sample to be probed and modulate the spin alignment in the sensor. Our results are discussed in the context of Dipolar Field Microscopy, a proposed strategy in which the detector is a hyperpolarized tip.  相似文献

The three-dimensional real-space observation of photonic nanojet in different microspheres illuminated by a laser is reported. The finite-difference time-domain technique is used to perform the three-dimensional numerical simulation for the dielectric microspheres. The key parameters of photonic nanojet are measured by using a scanning optical microscope system. We reconstruct the three-dimensional real-space photonic nanojets from the collected stack of scanning images for polystyrene microspheres of 3 μm, 5 μm, and 8 μm diameters deposited on a glass substrate. Experimental results are compared to calculations and are found in good agreement with simulation results. The full width at half-maximum of the nanojet is 331 nm for a 3 μm microsphere at an incident wavelength of 633 nm. Our investigations show that photonic nanojets can be efficiently imaged by a microsphere and straightforwardly extended to rapidly distinguish the nano-objects in the far-field optical system.  相似文献

We propose a method for high-sensitivity subwavelength spectromicroscopy based on the usage of a spaser (plasmonic nanolaser) in the form of a scanning probe microscope tip. The high spatial resolution is defined by plasmon localization at the tip, as is the case for apertureless scanning near-field optical microscopy. In contrast to the latter method, we suggest using radiationless plasmon pumping with quantum dots instead of irradiation with an external laser beam. Due to absorption at the transition frequencies of neighboring nano-objects (molecules or clusters), dips appear in the plasmon generation spectrum. The highest sensitivity is achieved near the generation threshold.  相似文献

Nanopaper is a new material concept composed of nanocellulose, which has been proposed for a series of applications. Recently, the surface of nanopapers has also been emphasized as an important structure to control. This is due to the potential of nanopaper structures as a substrate for printing functionality, which could expand the applicability of nanopaper as a functionalized biomaterial. In this study, we demonstrate how the roughness of nanopaper is affected by the fraction of residual fibres that were not fibrillated into nanofibrils after a homogenization procedure. The topography and morphology were assessed with laser profilometry, atomic force microscopy and scanning (transmission) electron microscopy. The results show a linear correlation between the estimated fraction of residual fibres and the roughness of the assessed nanopapers. Furthermore, the fraction of residual fibres can be reduced by fractionating the nanocellulose, which is demonstrated in the present work. Such knowledge will be valuable for designing nanopaper surfaces with specific structural characteristics.  相似文献

The composition of the surface film formed on pure iron was investigated in a solution of 0.05 M NaOH and 0.05 M NaCl. Raman spectra of the film were recorded in situ during anodic polarisation over the passive region after addition of the NaCl to the electrolyte, under conditions of preresonance enhancement using excitation at 636.4 nm. Multivariate curve resolution with alternating least squares analysis was applied to the spectra to measure the relative amounts of different iron oxide and oxyhydroxides in the film at different potentials. The water content was also determined in this way from Raman spectra recorded using excitation at 514.5 nm. It was found that the composition of the film and the amount of incorporated water were influenced by the applied anodic potential. The results show that stable pitting can occur when the composition changes from the primary constituents β‐FeOOH and Green Complex (a hydrated, amorphous magnetite) with smaller amounts of γ‐Fe2O3 and γ‐FeOOH, to δ‐FeOOH and Green Complex, simultaneously with a reduction in water content. These changes result in conditions that favour the rate of localised breakdown of the film by Cl ions over the rate of repassivation by water in the passive film. We present a digital holography microscopy technique based on a parallel-quadrature phase-shifting method. Two π/2 phase-shifted holograms are recorded simultaneously using polarization phase-shifting principle, slightly off-axis recording geometry, and two identical CCD sensors. The parallel phase-shifting is realized by combining circularly polarized object beam with a 45° degree polarized reference beam through a polarizing beam splitter. DC term is eliminated by subtracting the two holograms from each other and the object information is reconstructed after selecting the frequency spectrum of the real image. Both amplitude and phase object reconstruction results are presented. Simultaneous recording eliminates phase errors caused by mechanical vibrations and air turbulences. The slightly off-axis recording geometry with phase-shifting allows a much larger dimension of the spatial filter for reconstruction of the object information. This leads to better reconstruction capability than traditional off-axis holography.  相似文献
