On the critical damping in multi-degree-of-freedom systems

The concept of criticality in viscously damped multi-degree-of-freedom systems is discussed. A necessary and sufficient condition for critical damping is presented. The fundamental physical basis is the same as in Beskos and Boley [ASME J. Appl. Mech. 47 (1980) 627], but numerical convenience is enhanced.     

Polymerization and photoinitiation behavior in the light-cured dental composite resins

The polymerization behavior and photoinitiation process in the visible light-cured dental composite resins were studied using ESR and IR spectroscopies. The concentration of methacryl propagating radical corresponded to the transmittance of irradiated light. While the radical was stable and long-lived in the cured resin, its concentration quickly decreased in the oral cavity due to the ventilation of atmospheric oxygen accompanied by respiration. Camphorquinone radical in the presence of tertiary amine easily initiated the radical polymerization. A decrease in monomer consumption was explained by the inhibition effect of oxygen in the photoinitiation process. Post-curing by the residual radical proceeded effectively in the deeper part of the resin.     

水声信道线性均衡的研究

本文在对LMS和稀疏权自适应均衡算法进行分析的基础上，将其引入到水声数据传输中，利用LMS算法对时不变信道和慢变信道进行了仿真实验；利用稀疏权自适应均衡算法对深海信道进行了仿真实验，并获得了仿真结果。     

Constrained Kantorovich inequalities and relative efficiency of least squares

This paper establishes a type of Kantorovich inequality subject to some constraints and obtains some lower bounds for the relative efficiency of the least squares. These lower bounds can be much sharper than that obtained by using the unconstrained Kantorovich inequality. Multivariate extensions of the results are also obtained. Some interesting examples are presented.     

Comparison Results Between Preconditioned Jacobi and the AOR Iterative Method

The large scale linear systems with M-matrices often appear in a wide variety of areas of physical,fluid dynamics and economic sciences.It is reported in[1]that the convergence rate of the IMGS method,with the preconditioner I S_α,is superior to that of the basic SOR iterative method for the M-matrix.This paper considers the preconditioned Jacobi(PJ)method with the preconditioner P=I S_α S_β,and proves theoretically that the convergence rate of the PJ method is better than that of the basic AOR method.Numerical examples are provided to illustrate the main results obtained.     

协变量区间删失时线性模型的参数估计

本文研究了当协变量为区间数据时的线性模型，通过构造区间数据变量的条件均值，得到了回归参数的估计，当协变量的分布已知时，证明了估计的无偏性与强相合性．时协变量的分布未知的情形也作了讨论．文中还作了若干模拟计算，从模拟的结果不难发现，利用本文提出的方法所获得的估计简便且具有较高的精度．

A new method for a class of linear variational inequalities

In this paper we introduce a new iterative scheme for the numerical solution of a class of linear variational inequalities. Each iteration of the method consists essentially only of a projection to a closed convex set and two matrix-vector multiplications. Both the method and the convergence proof are very simple.This work is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of the P.R. China and NSF of Jiangsu.

Equivalence of conditions for convergence of iterative methods for singular equations

Equivalence is shown between different conditions for convergence of iterative methods for consistent singular systems of linear equations on Banach spaces. These systems appear in many applications, such as Markov chains and Markov processes. The conditions considered relate the range and null spaces of different operators.
