This paper presents results of studies on dc electrical conductivity and transference number measurements on potassium bromate (KBrO3) complexed polyvinyl chloride (PVC) films prepared by solution cast technique. Temperature dependence of dc electrical conductivity and transference number data indicated the dominance of ion type charge transport in these specimens. The magnitude of conductivity increased with increase in concentration of the salt and temperature. Using this (PVC + KBrO3) electrolyte, solid-state electrochemical cells were fabricated, and their discharge profiles were studied under a constant load of 100 kΩ. Several cell profiles such as open circuit voltage, short circuit current, power density, and energy density associated with these cells were evaluated and were reported. The features of complexation of the electrolytes were studied by X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The range of isotopes available at the TRIUMF Isotope Separator Accelerator (ISAC) facility has been greatly enhanced by adding a Resonance Ionization Laser Ion Source (RILIS). A large wavelength range is accessible with the fundamental, second and third harmonic generation of titanium-sapphire laser light. In addition a dedicated laser is available for non-resonant laser ionization. The first on-line beam 62Ga was delivered in Dec. 2004. In general RILIS improves the intensity, purity and emittance of ion beams. 62Ga and 26Al and Be beams have been delivered so far on-line. This work was financed by TRIUMF which is federally funded via a contribution agreement through the National Research Council of Canada.  相似文献

The Li oxides species formed on Li over-deposited V2O5 thin film surfaces have been studied by using X-ray and UV induced photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS and UPS). The photoelectron spectroscopic data show that the Li over-deposited V2O5 system itself is not stable. Further chemical decomposition reactions are taken place even under UHV conditions and lead to form Li2O and Li2O2 compounds on the surface. The formation of Li2O2 causes to arise an emission line at about 11.3 eV in the valence band spectra.  相似文献

Thermal conductivity (λ) of nanocrystalline La1−xAgxMnO3 (x=0.05, 0.15, 0.25, 0.3) pellets prepared by pyrophoric method is reported between 10 and 300 K. Magnitude of thermal conductivity has been found to be strongly influenced by monovalent (Ag) substitution at the La site. Silver doping in LaMnO3 enhances TC of the system to ∼299 K. Qualitative nature of the temperature variation of thermal conductivity of the silver substituted lanthanum manganites remains closely similar to that for divalent doped systems. Our analysis demonstrates that in La1−xAgxMnO3 also, the mechanism of heat conduction is predominantly by phonons. The contribution of the electronic part is only ∼1% of the total λ. The spin wave contribution is also estimated close to TC, which for all the samples lies within ∼2%. At temperatures below ∼100 K, the measured data have been analyzed using phonon relaxation time method and the strengths of the various phonon scattering processes have been estimated. Our analysis further suggests strong influence of phonon scattering by 2D like defects in the thermal conductivity of monovalent doped lanthanum manganites at low temperatures (<70 K) in the ferromagnetic region.  相似文献

研究了应用于锂二次电池正极的新型高能量密度存贮材料Li(AlxCo1-x)O2 (x=01—05)的磁性.发现Al3+的掺杂可导致Co3+中d电子自旋态发生变化,即有部分d电子进入高自旋态.伴随Co3+中电子状态的改变,材料结构演化也发生了相应变化,表现为c/a比增大明显减缓,较好地解释了材料结构对Vegard定律的正偏离.这对材料的微观结构与性能设计具有重要意义. 关键词: 锂电池材料 Li(AlxCo1-x)O2 磁性 自旋态 结构演化  相似文献

The concept of a novel electrochemical reduction process for the treatment of spent nuclear fuels in Li2O-LiCl molten salt was proposed and fresh tests using U3O8 powder were carried out to elucidate the reaction mechanism and verify the feasibility of the process. Electrolysis of Li2O and reduction of U3O8 powder took place simultaneously at the cathode part of the electrolysis cell via a catalytic EC mechanism and the conversion of U3O8 to U metal was more than 99%. Frequency dependence of ac conductivity from 1 to 105 Hz and time series of the conductivity at 2 kHz were measured along c-axis of thulium nitrate crystal, Tm(NO3)36H2O at temperatures from 203.15 to 293.15 K. The meta-stability was observed. The frequency spectra of the conductivity were similar to those in disorder system. Aging effect was observed. Non-periodic instability (burst) was found. Non-linear dynamical property was characterized by 1/f noise spectrum, limit cycle in return map and dependence of correlation exponent on embedding dimension.  相似文献

将稀土金属钇离子注入到n型单晶Si(111)中制备出钇硅化物埋层.利用x射线衍射、卢瑟福背散射和傅里叶红外吸收谱测量分析了样品的结构、原子的埋层分布和振动模式.结果表明,Y离子在注入过程中已与基底中的Si原子形成了YSi2结构相.真空下的红外光辐照处理促使YSi2择优取向生长,埋层中Si与Y的平均原子浓度比由24下降为20,与六方YSi2的化学计量比一致.还给出了钇硅化物的特征红外吸收谱.  相似文献
