A class of high-order kinetic flux vector splitting schemes are presented for solving ideal quantum gas dynamics based on quantum statistical mechanics. The collisionless quantum Boltzmann equation approach is adopted and both Bose–Einstein and Fermi–Dirac gases are considered. The formulas for the split flux vectors are derived based on the general three-dimensional distribution function in velocity space and formulas for lower dimensions can be directly deduced. General curvilinear coordinates are introduced to treat practical problems with general geometry. High-order accurate schemes using weighted essentially non-oscillatory methods are implemented. The resulting high resolution kinetic flux splitting schemes are tested for 1D shock tube flows and shock wave diffraction by a 2D wedge and by a circular cylinder in ideal quantum gases. Excellent results have been obtained for all examples computed.  相似文献

In Bautista-Ancona and Diaz-Vargas (2006) [B-D] a characterization and complete listing is given of the imaginary quadratic extensions K of k(x), where k is a finite field, in which the ideal class group has exponent two and the infinite prime of k(x) ramifies. The objective of this work is to give a characterization and list of these kind of extensions but now considering the case in which the infinite prime of k(x) is inert in K. Shear banding occurs in the flow of complex fluids: various types of shear thinning and shear thickening micelle solutions and liquid crystals. In order to cope with the strongly inhomogeneous interface between the bands, constitutive models used in standard rheology must be supplemented by non-local terms. This leads rather generally to non-linear partial differential equations of the reaction-diffusion type. Increasingly stringent regulations and the need to tackle rising fuel prices have placed great emphasis on the design of aeronautical gas turbines, which are unfortunately more and more prone to combustion instabilities. In the particular field of annular combustion chambers, these instabilities often take the form of azimuthal modes. To predict these modes, one must compute the full combustion chamber, which remained out of reach until very recently and the development of massively parallel computers. In this article, full annular Large Eddy Simulations (LES) of two helicopter combustors, which differ only on the swirlers' design, are performed. In both computations, LES captures self-established rotating azimuthal modes. However, the two cases exhibit different thermo-acoustic responses and the resulting limit-cycles are different. With the first design, a self-excited strong instability develops, leading to pulsating flames and local flashback. In the second case, the flames are much less affected by the azimuthal mode and remain stable, allowing an acceptable operation. We use the symmetry reduction method based on Lie group theory to obtain some exact solutions, the so-called invariant solutions, of the ideal magnetohydrodynamic equations in (3+1) dimensions. In particular, these equations are invariant under a Galilean-similitude Lie algebra for which the classification by conjugacy classes of r-dimensional subalgebras (1?r?4) was already known. We restrict our study to the three-dimensional Galilean-similitude subalgebras that give us systems composed of ordinary differential equations. Here, some examples of these solutions are presented with a brief physical interpretation.  相似文献

Summary The dispersive characteristic of hydromagnetic surface waves along a plasma-plasma interface when one of the fluids has a relative motion has been studied as a function of the compressibility factors 1/V 1, wheres 1 andV 1 are the acoustic and Alfvén wave speed in one of the media. Both slow and fast magnetosonic surface waves for each symmetric and asymmetric modes can exist. The nature and existence of these modes depend on the values ofs 1/V 1 and ϑ, the angle of wave propagation. The phase velocity of the slow wave increases whereas for the fast wave it decreases with increase in the angle ϑ. The authors of this paper have agreed to not receive the proofs for correction.  相似文献
