We describe a very simple, two-step synthetic method to prepare gold nanorods with extremely high aspect ratios (> 20) and average lengths of more than 1000 nm. The method is based on a seed-mediated growth in presence of the surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide. The length and aspect ratios of the nanorods can be manipulated by varying the surfactant concentration.  相似文献

The silver(I) oxide mediated reactions of the gold(III) dichloride complex [{C6H3(CH2

uCl2] 2a with thiosalicylic or salicylic acid gives the respective complexes [{C6H3(CH2


)-2}] 3a (X=S) or 6b (X=O), containing chelating thiosalicylate or salicylate dianion ligands. X-ray studies show that for the thiosalicylate system, the thiosalicylate sulfur atom is trans to the N,N-dimethylamino group, whereas in the structure of the salicylate complex, it is the carboxylate group that is trans to NMe2. Both complexes show puckered metallacycles in the solid state. Electrospray mass spectrometry (ESMS) shows strong [M+H]+ and [2M+H]+ ions for both the gold-thiosalicylate and -salicylate complexes, and these ions possess a high stability towards cone voltage-induced fragmentation. ESMS was also used to identify a minor impurity, the bis(cyclo-aurated) cationic complex [A

Me2)-2-(OMe)-5}2]+ in the starting dihalide complex 2a and in the product 3a. This complex can be formed by reaction of Me4N[AuCl4] with 2 equivalents of the organomercury precursor [Hg{C6H3(CH2NMe2)-2-(OMe)-5}Cl]. The biological (antitumour, antimicrobial and antiviral) activities are also reported, and these reveal the complexes have moderate to high anti-tumour, antibacterial and antifungal activity.  相似文献

Laccase enzymes from two different sources, namely, tree laccase from Rhus vernicifera and fungal laccase from Coriolus hirsutus were used for the development of biosensor for catechol. Laccase was immobilized onto the amine terminated thiol monolayers on gold surface by glutaraldehyde coupling. From the different thiol monolayers investigated, cystamine was found to be optimal with respect to sensitivity, stability, reproducibility, and other electrochemical properties of the enzyme electrode. Linear calibration in the range between 1 and 400 μM for catechol was obtained for fungal laccase covalently coupled on the electrode surface. The kinetic parameters determined using the Lineweaver‐Burk and Eadie‐Hofstee plots were Km=0.65 mM and Vmax=24.5 μA for fungal laccase compared to Km=5.4 mM and Vmax=6.6 μA for tree laccase on cystamine monolayer. The electrode showed good stability for 1 month without loosing appreciable activity when stored dry in a refrigerator at ?20 °C.  相似文献

The relativistic ground and low-lying excited state potential energy curves of AgH and AuH in the presence of a cylindrical harmonic confining potential were calculated using the multi-state multi-reference perturbation theory with the spin-free no-pair Hamiltonian obtained via the third-order Douglas–Kroll transformation, incorporated with the full two-electron Breit–Pauli spin–orbit operator. The spectroscopic parameters were obtained for both the scalar- and quasi-relativistic potentials. The spin–orbit coupling constants were calculated for several strengths of the confining potential, and the effects of the applied potential on the coupling constants were analyzed using configuration interaction. A simple and selective method for rapid and efficient concentration and determination of μg l−1 levels of Au(III) ions in aqueous solution using octadecyl silica membrane disks modified by pentathia-15-crown-5 and flame atomic absorption spectrometry is presented. The influence of flow rates of eluent and sample solution, amount of ligand, types and least amount of eluent for elution of Au from disks were investigated. Break through volume and limit of detection of the membrane disks modified by 5 mg of the thiacrown ether was found to be 2.0 l and 1.0 μg l−1, respectively. The effects of various cationic interferences on percent recovery of gold were studied. The method was successfully applied for the determinations of gold in some pharmaceutical samples and for the recovery of trace Au3+ ions from synthetic and water samples.  相似文献

Gold nanoparticles in polyelectrolyte multilayers film can be easily prepared by repeating immersion of a substrate in poly(diallyl dimethylammonium) chloride (PDDA)-AuCl4 complexes solution followed by reduction Au3+ through heating. UV-vis spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry (CV) and tapping-mode atomic force microscopy (AFM) are used to confirm the successful construction of the polyelectrolyte multilayers film and the formation of gold nanoparticles. The multilayers film shows electrocatalytic activity to dioxygen reduction.  相似文献
