Synthesis of 1-Bromo-3-methoxy-4-propoxy-5-iodobenzene——A Novel Efficient Process for the Synthesis of Brominated Aromatic Compound

The reaction of aromatic carboxylic acid with oxalyl chloride gives rise to the corresponding acid chloride which without purification is treated with the sodium salt of mercaptopyridine oxide in the presence of 2,2-azo-bisisobutyronitrile (AIBN), radical initiator to give a brominated aromatic compound. After etherification and oxidation, 5-iodovaniline was converted to trisubstituted benzene carboxylic acid which give 1-bromo-3-methoxy-4-propoxy-5-iodobenzene by this new brominating process with a yield of 74%.     

Alkaline Earth Transition Metal Antimonides AT4Sb12 (A = Ca,Sr, Ba; T = Fe,Ru, Os) with LaFe4P12-Structure

The title compounds were prepared by reaction of CaSb₂, SrSb₂, or BaSb₃ with the transition metals and antimony in sealed silica tubes. They crystallize with the cubic LaFe₄P₁₂-structure, which was refined from single-crystal X-ray data of CaFe₄Sb₁₂, SrRu₄Sb₁₂, and BaRu₄Sb₁₂ to residuals of R = 0.014, 0.016, and 0.014, respectively. The thermal parameters of the alkaline earth ions increase with decreasing ionic size. The Sb? Sb distances are greater in the iron compound than they are in the two ruthenium compounds. This is rationalized to be due to a larger portion of electrons in antibonding Sb? Sb states in the iron compound.     

Fabrication of high performance thin films from metal fluorocomplex aqueous solution by the liquid phase deposition

The hetro-structured oxide thin films from metal fluorocomplex solution have been prepared by the liquid phase deposition (LPD) method. The Pt/Nb₂O₅ and Au/Nb₂O₅ composite films can be prepared from a mixed solution of niobium source, H₃BO₃, Pt(NH₃)₄Cl₂ and HAuCl₄ aqueous solutions under the ambient temperature and atmosphere. In the case of Au/SiO₂ composite film, (NH₄)₂SiF₆ solution is used as a mother solution. The Pt and Au ionic species are deposited in Nb₂O₅ and SiO₂ matrices. They are reduced to their metallic state after treatment above 200 °C. The size of dispersed particles can be controlled by heat treatment temperature. It is also clear that, gold nanoparticles are also found to interact with SiO₂, although the interaction is smaller than that with Nb₂O₅ showing the size of Au nanoparticles remain smaller in Nb₂O₅ that in SiO₂.     

Where organometallics and dendrimers merge: the incorporation of organometallic species into dendritic molecules

This review will describe the ongoing efforts being made to incorporate organometallic fragments into the framework of dendrimers. While purely dendritic organic molecules are well known and well studied, species incorporating organometallic moieties potentially offer many benefits that are not available to only organic containing dendrimers. For example, catalytic or redox active organometallic functions can be included in the dendritic framework and impart these characteristics onto the dendrimer. This report will give an overview of the latest developments in this field by highlighting selected examples that detail novel synthetic strategies or dendrimer construction methodologies, interesting practical applications or address specific problems associated with organometallic dendrimers.     

2-(1H-唑基)-1-(2,3,4-三甲氧基)苯乙酮衍生物的合成与结构表征

首先以2－溴－1－（2，3，4－三甲氧基）苯乙酮，四丁基铵－1H－1，2，4－三唑或咪唑为原料，分别合成了2－（1H－1，2，4－三唑－1－基）－1－（2，3，4－三甲氧基）苯乙酮（Ia)和2－（1H－咪唑0－1－基）－1－（2，3，4－三甲氧基）苯乙酮（Ib)与盐酸羟胺反应生成2－（1H－1，2，4－三唑－1－基）－1－（2，3，4－三甲氧基）苯乙酮肟和1－（1H－咪唑－1－基）－1－（2，3，4三甲氧基）苯乙酮肟，产率为63％－72％，并经元素分析，IR和1H NMR进行了表征。     

在改性非水合成的丝光沸石上邻二甲苯异构化

1985年Bibby首次在非水体系中合成了纯硅方钠石,由此开创了一条合成分子筛的新途径。徐文旸等首次在Na_2O-SiO_2-Al_2O_3一有机胺非水体系中合成了丝光沸石(简称非水丝光沸石,用NAM表示)。晶化过程中液相无硅铝酸根离子,固相硅铝比始终保持不变,是典型的固相转化过程。利用非水体系这一特点,可以定向地合成出催化反应所需硅铝比的沸石。与水热体系相比,非水体系合成的丝光沸石在邻二甲苯异构化催化性能上要优于前者。     

嵌入Y型分子筛中钯簇合成与结构的研究

Pd clusters encaged in Y-zeolite (Pd0Y) have been prepared by means of exchanging zeolite HY with [Pd(NH3)4]2+ under microwave radiation. The product formed was deaminized by heating, washed sufficiently with de-ionized water and reduced with hydrogen. The crystal phase diffraction of Pd was not found in the XRD spectrogram of Pd0y. According to polycrystal X-ray diffraction data. Radial Electron Distribution Function (REDF) of Pd0Y was calculated to elucidate the structure of Pd cluster. The results show that the Pd clusters are of the Al type closely packed arrangement. The dimension of them is about 12 Å. They are encaged in the supercage of zeolite Y. Their occupancy on the supercage is as small as 0.06 so that the framework structure of zeolite Y is unchanged. Therefore, the high dispersing Pd cluster aggregating in supercage exhibit strong catalytic effect. The CO-conversion of Pd0Y with Pd 0.72% and 6.13% (in mass fraction) is 67 % and 100 % (in volume fraction) respectively. Evaluation conditions:

Crystal Structure of non‐aqueous Melaminium Chloride Melaminium chloride was obtained as colorless, needle‐shaped, single crystalline material from solid state reactions between melamin and ammonium chloride. The structure of [C₃N₆H₇]Cl was refined by single crystal X‐ray diffraction: I2/m, Z = 8, a = 852.87(4), b = 1704.4(1) c = 918.44(4) pm and β = 92.165(6)°. The crystal structure contains melaminium ions stacked to columns along [100] and linked via N‐H···N bridges to form bands along [001]. Both of the two distinct chloride ions are stabilized by six hydrogen bonds through distorted trigonal prismatic arrangements of hydrogen atoms to yield a supramolecular structure.     

Efficient synthesis of isoflavone analogues via a Suzuki coupling reaction

Analogues of 3-aryl-8-isobutyl-5,6,7-trihydroxy-2-methyl-4H-chromen-4-one were synthesized with high yields via the Suzuki coupling reaction of 3-iodo-8-isobutyl-5,6,7-trimethoxy-2-methyl-4H-chromen-4-one with different aryl boronic acids.
