Computer simulation of Fresnel diffraction from rectangular apertures and obstacles using the Fresnel integrals approach

In this paper, we describe a new computer simulation technique of generating Fresnel diffraction images from rectangular apertures of arbitrary dimensions by using Fresnel integrals instead of the more common fast Fourier transform methods. The simulation can be performed in almost any PC using the software MATLAB. Diffraction images can be generated for any wavelength of light and for any aperture–screen and aperture-source distances. Images for rectangular obstacles can also be simulated. Details of the algorithm and program are presented, as well as the interesting insights than can be gained from using the program. Finally, it is shown that the simulated images reduce to the simple Fraunhofer diffraction patterns for certain limiting situations.

In a recently suggested variational quantum field theoretical approach the angular momentum and isospin properties of the pion field surrounding a quark bag are investigated using the Lagrangian of the Cloudy Bag Model.     

大口径光学元件功率谱密度的统计法测量

针对ICF系统要求,提出了一种基于统计理论的大口径光学元件功率谱密度测量方法。该方法将大口径波前划分成足够多个子区域,分别求得每个子区域波前的功率谱密度,根据统计理论可将大口径波前功率谱密度表示为各个子区域波前功率谱密度的加权平均,其权重因子是各子区域对应的面积。模拟计算和实验结果验证了统计法测量的有效性,并表明当子区域个数大于等于8×8时,统计法测量和子孔径拼接测量得到的功率谱密度吻合较好。统计法测量对平台移动精度和环境稳定性要求不高,可应用于大口径光学元件功率谱密度的过程检测。     

基于孔径分布概念的全景系统光学设计

为了改变坦克现有探测与观瞄系统低效、精确性不足等弱点,进行基于孔径分布概念的全景系统光学设计。原理是利用4个孔径大于90°的物镜对360°全景图像信息进行孔径分布实时采集,采集的四路图像通过内部转像系统的折转汇成一路,由一个CCD接收,提供准确和平整的全景图拼贴的图像,对系统理想情况下的发现和分清目标距离以及盲区范围进行估算,并通过光线追迹估算出系统失效探测距离。系统在57 m~6.45 km的工作距离内,实现全方位、实时性的观瞄与探测功能。     

地基多孔径成像系统验证实验设计

基于工程实践中高分辨率目标成像技术的需求,讨论了光学合成孔径成像技术的成像原理以及在提高成像分辨率方面的优越性,阐述了国内外在相关领域取得的科研成果及存在的技术难点。在现有加工工艺及装调检测条件下,设计了基于两个子望远镜的合成孔径成像实验。以斐索型多孔径望远镜为研究对象,从几何光学理论出发,讨论了地基斐索型合成孔径成像系统实验的可行性。分析实验中关键组件的调整精度,提出了合成孔径成像系统精确成像的方案。实验中设计了分辨率±0.03mm的微调机构来保证系统获得清晰的像,并使用分辨率达到0.05μm的压电直线精密驱动器来保证两束光相位同步。分析结果表明,本文设计的地基多孔径成像系统实验切实可行,可得到合成孔径成像系统分辨率的确切值,为进一步研究合成孔径成像系统奠定了基础。     

Influence of the halo upon angular distributions for elastic scattering and breakup

The angular distributions for elastic scattering and breakup of halo nuclei are analysed using a near-side/far-side decomposition within the framework of the dynamical eikonal approximation. This analysis is performed for ¹¹Be impinging on Pb at 69 MeV/nucleon. These distributions exhibit very similar features. In particular they are both near-side dominated, as expected from Coulomb-dominated reactions. The general shape of these distributions is sensitive mostly to the projectile-target interactions, but is also affected by the extension of the halo. This suggests the elastic scattering not to be affected by a loss of flux towards the breakup channel.     

Changes in the intensity distribution and polarization of non-uniformly polarized beams focused by a spherically aberrated lens with annular aperture

Based on the generalized Huygens-Fresnel diffraction integral and beam coherence polarization (BCP) matrix formulation, the focusing properties of a type of non-uniformly polarized (NUP) beam through a spherical aberrated lens with annular aperture are studied. The dependence of focal shift, intensity distribution, power in the bucket (PIB) and degree of polarization on the spherical aberration coefficient, obscure ratio and polarization parameters is illustrated numerically. The focusing of NUP beams by a spherically aberrated lens with circular aperture is treated as a special case, where the inner radius of the aperture is equal to zero.     

Regularity,continuity and approximation of isotropic Gaussian random fields on compact two-point homogeneous spaces

Gaussian random fields defined over compact two-point homogeneous spaces are considered and Sobolev regularity and Hölder continuity are explored through spectral representations. It is shown how spectral properties of the covariance function associated to a given Gaussian random field are crucial to determine such regularities and geometric properties. Furthermore, fast approximations of random fields on compact two-point homogeneous spaces are derived by truncation of the series expansion, and a suitable bound for the error involved in such an approximation is provided.
