Riemannian Manifolds in Which Certain Curvature Operator Has Constant Eigenvalues along Each Circle

Riemannian manifolds for which a natural curvature operator has constant eigenvalues on circles are studied. A local classification in dimensions two and three is given. In the 3-dimensional case one gets all locally symmetric spaces and all Riemannian manifolds with the constant principal Ricci curvatures r ₁ = r ₂ = 0, r ₃= 0 , which are not locally homogeneous, in general.     

Curcumin: A naturally occurring long‐wavelength photosensitizer for diaryliodonium salts

Curcumin, a naturally occurring, intensely yellow dye extracted from the spice turmeric, is an efficient photosensitizer for diaryliodonium salt photoinitiators at wavelengths ranging from 340 to 535 nm. With curcumin as a photosensitizer, it is possible to carry out the cationic photopolymerization of a wide variety of epoxide, oxetane, and vinyl monomers with long‐wavelength UV and visible light. An example of the photopolymerization of an epoxide monomer with ambient solar irradiation is provided. Several other curcumin analogues were synthesized, and their use as photosensitizers is examined. With such photosensitizers, the range of spectral sensitivity can be extended well into the visible region of the electromagnetic spectrum. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. What Is a Quantum Stochastic Differential Equation from the Point of View of Functional Analysis?

We prove that a quantum stochastic differential equation is the interaction representation of the Cauchy problem for the Schrödinger equation with Hamiltonian given by a certain operator restricted by a boundary condition. If the deficiency index of the boundary-value problem is trivial, then the corresponding quantum stochastic differential equation has a unique unitary solution. Therefore, by the deficiency index of a quantum stochastic differential equation we mean the deficiency index of the related symmetric boundary-value problem.In this paper, conditions sufficient for the essential self-adjointness of the symmetric boundary-value problem are obtained. These conditions are closely related to nonexplosion conditions for the pair of master Markov equations that we canonically assign to the quantum stochastic differential equation.     

关于局部对称空间中2-调和子流形

本文研究局部对称完备黎曼流形中的紧致2－调和子流形，得到了这类流形第二基本模式长平方的Pinching定理及推广的J．Simons型积分不等式。     

光纤放大器增益饱和对有源光纤环形腔滤波特性的影响

从理论和实验两个方面研究了有源光纤环形腔滤波器输入光功率对光纤放大器增益的影响及由此引起的对有源光纤环形腔滤波特性的影响。在考虑上述影响的情况下 ,对有源光纤环形腔滤波器参数的优化作了讨论     

椭圆强非局域空间光孤子

对傍轴椭圆高斯光束在具有椭圆对称响应特性的强非局域非线性介质中的演化规律进行研究，得到了光束各参量演化的精确解析解，分析了单向空间光孤子和强非局域椭圆空间光孤子的形成条件，发现了椭圆光孤子的相移与介质响应函数的椭圆率有关. 关键词： 椭圆对称强非局域响应介质 椭圆强非局域空间光孤子 相移     

On Polynomial Functions over Finite Commutative Rings

Let R be an arbitrary finite commutative local ring. In this paper, we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for a function over R to be a polynomial function. Before this paper, necessary and sufficient conditions for a function to be a polynomial function over some special finite commutative local rings were obtained.
