Some heteroclinic solutions of a model of skin pattern formation

In this paper we study travelling wave solutions to a system of four non‐linear partial differential equations, which arise in a tissue interaction model for skin morphogenesis. Under the ‘small‐stress’ assumption we prove the existence and uniqueness (up to a translation) of solutions with the dermis and epidermis cell densities being positive, which are a perturbation of a uniform epidermal cell density. We give a characterization of Gaussian chaos laws on Banach function spaces which do not contain ℓ _∞ ⁿ 's uniformly. In this paper, a generalization of the mean value theorem is considered in the case of functions defined on an invex set with respect to η (which is not necessarily connected).

On a Question of Phillips

In [5] Phillips proved that one can obtain the additive group of any nonstandard model *? of the ring ? of integers by using a linear mod 1 function h : F ?, where F is the α-dimensional vector space over ? when α is the cardinality of *?. In this connection it arises the question whether there are linear mod 1 functions which are neither addition nor quasi-linear. We prove that this is the case.

关于实Hilbert环

通过引进“强实Hilbert环”这一概念,本文证明了,一个环A是强实Hilbert环,当且仅当多项式环A[X]是实Hilbert环,当且仅当A[X]的每个实极大理想在A上的局限是实极大的,从而文献[1]中两个主要结果被否定.此外,本文还研究了所谓的“严格的实Hilbert环”,这类环对于半代数零点定理等方面的探讨更具应用意义.
