We study synchronization transitions and pattern formation on small-world networks consisting of Morris-Lecar excitable neurons in dependence on the information transmission delay and the rewiring probability. In addition, networks formed via gap junctional connections and coupling via chemical synapses are considered separately. For gap-junctionally coupled networks we show that short delays can induce zigzag fronts of excitations, whereas long delays can further detriment synchronization due to a dynamic clustering anti-phase synchronization transition. For the synaptically coupled networks, on the other hand, we find that the clustering anti-phase synchronization can appear as a direct consequence of the prolongation of information transmission delay, without being accompanied by zigzag excitatory fronts. Irrespective of the coupling type, however, we show that an appropriate small-world topology can always restore synchronized activity if only the information transmission delays are short or moderate at most. Long information transmission delays always evoke anti-phase synchronization and clustering, in which case the fine-tuning of the network topology fails to restore the synchronization of neuronal activity.  相似文献

We study the existence and uniqueness of a solution to a linear stationary convection–diffusion equation stated in an infinite cylinder, Neumann boundary condition being imposed on the boundary. We assume that the cylinder is a junction of two semi-infinite cylinders with two different periodic regimes. Depending on the direction of the effective convection in the two semi-infinite cylinders, we either get a unique solution, or one-parameter family of solutions, or even non-existence in the general case. In the latter case we provide necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a solution.  相似文献

In this paper, we explore the complete synchronization and quasi-projective synchronization in a class of stochastic delayed quaternion-valued neural networks, utilizing a state-feedback control scheme. The studied neural networks into real-valued networks are short of known decomposing, by designing a very general nonlinear controller, according to the quaternion form It\^{o} formula with a number of inequality techniques in the configuration of quaternion domain, we obtained a quasi-projective synchronization criterion for drive-response networks. Moreover, we estimate the error margin for quasi-projective synchronization. At last, the theoretical results are confirmed by a numerical simulation.  相似文献

The global uniform exponential stability of switched positive linear impulsive systems with time-varying delays and all unstable subsystems is studied in this paper, which includes two types of distributed time-varying delays and discrete time-varying delays. Switching behaviors dominating the switched systems can be either stabilizing and destabilizing in the new designed switching sequence. We design new linear programming algorithm process to find the feasible ratio of stabilizing switching behaviors, which can be compensated by unstable subsystems, destabilizing switching behaviors, and impulses. Speci cally, we add a kind of nonnegative impulses which is consistent with the switching behaviors for the systems. Employing a multiple co-positive Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, we present several new sufficient stability criteria and design new switching sequence. Then, we apply the obtained stability criteria to the exponential consensus of linear delayed multi-agent systems, and obtain the new exponential consensus criteria. Three simulations are provided to demonstrate the proposed stability criteria.  相似文献

In this paper, a general non-autonomous n-species Lotka-Volterra model with delays and stochastic perturbation is investigated. For this model, sufficient conditions for extinction, non-persistence in the mean, weak persistence and stochastic permanence are established. The influences of the stochastic noises to the properties of the stochastic model are discussed. The property permanence for the model is preserved with the sufficiently small noise and sufficiently large noise may cause extinction of the model. The critical value between weak persistence and extinction is obtained. Finally, numerical simulations are given to support the theoretical analysis results.  相似文献

In this article, we introduce and investigate the concept of $\mu$-Stepanov-like pseudo almost automorphic functions of class $h$ and class infinity via measure theory. We present new results on completeness and composition theorems for the space of such functions. 对一类含时滞的脉冲神经网络平衡点的存在性和稳定性进行了研究.在不假定激励函数有界、单调或可微而仅假定激励函数Lipschitz连续的条件下,利用压缩映像原理证明了系统平衡点的存在性,利用右上Dini导数的性质并通过构造适当的Lyapunov函数得到了平衡点全局指数稳定的充分条件.文末通过实例说明了所获结论的有效性.  相似文献
