弱双曲流形的逼近

弱双曲流形是一类包含中心流形作为其特例的不变流形.本文讨论了它的逼近问题,不仅给出了计算其逼近的方法,还估计了使得这一逼近有效的它的局部性半径. 同时给出了一个具体实例来展示这些计算和估计.     

THE EXPONENTIAL STABILIZATION FOR A SEMILINEAR WAVE EQUATION WITH LOCALLY DISTRIBUTED FEEDBACK

This paper considers the exponential decay of the solution to a damped semilinear wave equation with variable coefficients in the principal part by Riemannian multiplier method. A differential geometric condition that ensures the exponential decay is obtained.     

Double Hopf bifurcation for van der Pol-Duffing oscillator with parametric delay feedback control

The stability and bifurcation of a van der Pol-Duffing oscillator with the delay feedback are investigated, in which the strength of feedback control is a nonlinear function of delay. A geometrical method in conjunction with an analytical method is developed to identify the critical values for stability switches and Hopf bifurcations. The Hopf bifurcation curves and multi-stable regions are obtained as two parameters vary. Some weak resonant and non-resonant double Hopf bifurcation phenomena are observed due to the vanishing of the real parts of two pairs of characteristic roots on the margins of the “death island” regions simultaneously. By applying the center manifold theory, the normal forms near the double Hopf bifurcation points, as well as classifications of local dynamics are analyzed. Furthermore, some quasi-periodic and chaotic motions are verified in both theoretical and numerical ways.     

Metric generalized inverse for linear manifolds and extremal solutions of linear inclusion in Banach spaces

Let X,Y be Banach spaces and M a linear manifold in X×Y={{x,y}∣x∈X,y∈Y}. The central problem which motivates many of the concepts and results of this paper is the problem of characterization and construction of all extremal solutions of a linear inclusion y∈M(x). First of all, concept of metric operator parts and metric generalized inverses for linear manifolds are introduced and investigated, and then, characterizations of the set of all extremal or least extremal solutions in terms of metric operator parts and metric generalized inverses of linear manifolds are given by the methods of geometry of Banach spaces. The principal tool in this paper is the generalized orthogonal decomposition theorem in Banach spaces.     

宇宙常数的Bulk流形的起源

关于宇宙常数问题是个至今没有解决的问题, 它的来源至今还没有一个共识. 从额外维的流形出发, 给出了宇宙常数的,bulk,流形起源的理论, 得到了不同情况下宇宙常数的取值和宇宙常数随时间演化的函数, 并且得到了可拟合现代天文观测的宇宙常数.     

Gromov–Witten Invariants of Blow-ups Along Surfaces

In this paper, using the gluing formula of Gromov–Witten invariants for symplectic cutting developed by Li and Ruan, we established some relations between Gromov–Witten invariants of a semipositive symplectic manifold M and its blow-ups along a smooth surface.     

Finiteness of polyhedral decompositions of cusped hyperbolic manifolds obtained by the Epstein-Penner's method

Epstein and Penner give a canonical method of decomposing a cusped hyperbolic manifold into ideal polyhedra. The decomposition depends on arbitrarily specified weights for the cusps. From the construction, it is rather obvious that there appear at most a finite number of decompositions if the given weights are slightly changed. However, since the space of weights is not compact, it is not clear whether the total number of such decompositions is finite. In this paper we prove that the number of polyhedral decompositions of a cusped hyperbolic manifold obtained by the Epstein-Penner's method is finite.

     

The structure of some classes of <Emphasis Type="Italic">K</Emphasis>-contact manifolds

We study projective curvature tensor in K-contact and Sasakian manifolds. We prove that (1) if a K-contact manifold is quasi projectively flat then it is Einstein and (2) a K-contact manifold is ξ-projectively flat if and only if it is Einstein Sasakian. Necessary and sufficient conditions for a K-contact manifold to be quasi projectively flat and φ-projectively flat are obtained. We also prove that for a (2n + 1)-dimensional Sasakian manifold the conditions of being quasi projectively flat, φ-projectively flat and locally isometric to the unit sphere S ²ⁿ⁺¹ (1) are equivalent. Finally, we prove that a compact φ-projectively flat K-contact manifold with regular contact vector field is a principal S ¹-bundle over an almost Kaehler space of constant holomorphic sectional curvature 4.     

The first eigenvalue of the Dirac operator on Kähler manifolds

If M^2m is a closed Kähler spin manifold of positive scalar curvature R, then each eigenvalue λ of type r (r {1, …, [(m + 1)/2]}) of the Dirac operator D satisfies the inequality λ² ≥ rR₀/4r − 2, where R₀ is the minimum of R on M^2m. Hence, if the complex dimension m is odd (even) we have the estimation

for the first eigenvalue of D. In the paper is also considered the limiting case of the given inequalities. In the limiting case with m = 2r − 1 the manifold M^2m must be Einstein. The manifolds S², S² × S², S² × T², P³( ), F( ), P³( ) × T² and F( ³) × T², where F( ³) denotes the flag manifold and T² the 2-dimensional flat torus, are examples for which the first eigenvalue of the Dirac operator realizes the limiting case of the corresponding inequality. In general, if M^2m is an example of odd complex dimension m, then M^2m × T² is an example of even complex dimension m + 1. The limiting case is characterized by the fact that here appear eigenspinors of D² which are Kählerian twistor-spinors.     

Poisson流形上微缩算子η的应用

本文根据Poisson流形P的1-形式空间∧1(P)上的微缩算子η及其性质,给出了η-代数胚的定义,进一步得到了微缩算子在η-代数胚及Poisson流形中的一些应用.
