Variational inequalities for monotone operators in nonreflexive Banach spaces

The purpose of this paper is to study the existence problem of solutions and perturbation problem for some kind of variational inequalities with monotone operators in nonreflexive Banach spaces, and to obtain some results.     

On the characterisation of paired monotone metrics

Hasegawa and Petz introduced the notion of paired monotone metrics. They also gave a characterisation theorem showing that Wigner-Yanase-Dyson metrics are the only members of the paired family. In this paper we show that the characterisation theorem holds true under hypotheses that are more general than those used in the above quoted references.

On a new system of nonlinear A-monotone multivalued variational inclusions

In this paper, we introduce and study a new system of nonlinear A-monotone multivalued variational inclusions in Hilbert spaces. By using the concept and properties of A-monotone mappings, and the resolvent operator technique associated with A-monotone mappings due to Verma, we construct a new iterative algorithm for solving this system of nonlinear multivalued variational inclusions associated with A-monotone mappings in Hilbert spaces. We also prove the existence of solutions for the nonlinear multivalued variational inclusions and the convergence of iterative sequences generated by the algorithm. Our results improve and generalize many known corresponding results.     

Thermal Behavior of Urea-(D) Tartaric Acid and Urea-(DL) Tartaric Acid Crystals

The thermal behavior of two new non-linear optical (NLO) materials, urea-(D) tartaric acid (UDT) and urea-(DL) tartaric acid (UDLT) were studied by using DSC, TG and TMA. The results show that: 1) The two crystals have different melting points but similar decomposition temperatures due to the influences of intermolecular forces, which is attributed to the stereo effects of (D)-tartaric and (DL)-tartaric acid molecules; 2) There was only thermal expansion and no thermal contraction when the UDT and UDLT crystals were heated; 3) There was no phase transition within the measured temperature range; 4) The thermal expansion of the UDT and UDLT crystals shows a small anisotropy; 5) The specific heats of UDT and UDLT change linearly with temperature in the measured temperature range and the value for UDT is 1.321 J g-1 K-1 at 320 K while the specific heat of UDLT is 1.357 J g-1 K-1 at the same temperature. 乙基橙与α,β,γ-环糊精包结物诱导圆二色性的研究

本文研究了乙基橙(EO)α、β、γ、环糊精(CD~x)包结物的诱导圆二色性(ICD)。用Kirkwood偶合振动模型探讨了包结物的包结形式都为轴向包结。然后利用Job连续变量作图法确定了其络合比, 即a-CDx/EO=1:1,βCDx(γ-CDx)/EO=2:1、1:1。     

Elucidation of the Role of the Complex in Hydride Transfer Reaction between Methylene Blue and 1-Benzyl-1,4-dihydronictinamide by Effect of γ-Cyclodextrin

The kinetics of the hydride transfer reaction between Methylene Blue (MB⁺) and 1-benzyl-1,4-dihydronicotinamide (BNAH) were studied in 10% ethanol-90% water mixed solvents containing β- and γ-cyclodextrins (β-CD and γ-CD). The pseudo-first order rate constant shows kinetic saturation at high initial concentration of BNAH. This indicates the formation of a complex between MB⁺ and BNAH. The reaction was suppressed by addition of β-CD, but enhanced by addition of γ-CD. MB⁺ and BNAH were separately accommodated within the β-CD cavity and the cavity walls may protect the activity site of the reactants. On the other hand, in the MB⁺-BNAH-γ-CD system, the inclusion of the complex between MB⁺ and BNAH with γ-CD occurred. This effect of γ-CD can distinguish between the productive and non-productive nature of the complex.     

An Infrared Spectroscopic Study on the Hofmann- and en-Td-type Clathrates: Mn(NH3)2Zn(CN)4 .2benzene and Mn(ethylenediamine)Zn(CN)4.2benzene

Infrared spectra of Mn(NH₃)₂Zn(CN)₄.2C₆H₆ andMn(ethylenediamine)Zn(CN)₄.2C₆H₆ are reported. The spectral data suggest that these compounds are similar in structure toHofmann-T_d-type and the en-T_d-type clathrates,respectively. There is good evidence for H-bonding from ammoniaN–H to benzene as a to H-bond.
