By means of generating function and partial derivative methods, we investigate and establish several general summation formulas involving two classes of polynomials. The general results would apply to yield some identities for the Pell polynomials and Pell-Lucas polynomials, and other general polynomials can also be recovered in this paper.

On the supercyclicity and hypercyclicity of the operator algebra

Let B（X） be the operator algebra for a separable infinite dimensional Hilbert space H, endowed with the strong operator topology or ＊-strong topology. We give sufficient conditions for a continuous linear mapping L ： B（X） →B（X） to be supercyclic or ,-supercyclic. In particular our condition implies the existence of an infinite dimensional subspace of supercyclic vectors for a mapping T on H. Hypercyclicity of the operator algebra with strong operator topology was studied＇ by Chan and here we obtain an analogous result in the case of ＊-strong operator topology.     

Normal Bases and Their Dual-Bases over Finite Fields

In this paper, we prove the following results： 1） A normal basis N over a finite field is equivalent to its dual basis if and only if the multiplication table of N is symmetric; 2） The normal basis N is self-dual if and only if its multiplication table is symmetric and Tr（α^2） = 1, where α generates N; 3） An optimal normal basis N is self-dual if and only if N is a type-Ⅰ optimal normal basis with q = n = 2 or N is a type-Ⅱ optimal normal basis.     

Classification Theory for Inductive Limit C^＊-algebras

This paper is a survey on the recent work of the authors and their col-laborators on the Classification of Inductive Limit C*-algebras. Some examples are presented to explain several important ideas.     

A New Three-Dimensional Lie Algebra and a Modified AKNS Hierarchy of Soliton Equations

A new three-dimensional Lie algebra and its corresponding loop algebra are constructed, from which a modified AKNS soliton-equation hierarchy is obtained.
