We investigate the reations (if any) between the nonzero canonical correlations {1 11 > 0} due to y1 ( = A1x) and y2 ( = A2x), and the nonzero canonical correlations {1 λ1 … λv+r > 0} due to x1 and x2. Motivated by models of fracture mechanics, this paper is devoted to the analysis of a unilateral gradient flow of the Ambrosio–Tortorelli functional, where unilaterality comes from an irreversibility constraint on the fracture density. Solutions of such evolution are constructed by means of an implicit Euler scheme. An asymptotic analysis in the Mumford–Shah regime is then carried out. It shows the convergence towards a generalized heat equation outside a time increasing crack set. In the spirit of gradient flows in metric spaces, a notion of curve of maximal unilateral slope is also investigated, and analogies with the unilateral slope of the Mumford–Shah functional are also discussed.  相似文献

We solve a Hodge decomposition problem with respect to a weight function that vanishes on the boundary. This problem is present in several works on the Gross-Pitaevskii energy, and we use our solution to show that a Γ-convergence result that links these works is still valid for more general data than previously considered.  相似文献

We study the Γ-convergence of sequences of free-discontinuity functionals depending on vector-valued functions u which can be discontinuous across hypersurfaces whose shape and location are not known a priori. The main novelty of our result is that we work under very general assumptions on the integrands which, in particular, are not required to be periodic in the space variable. Further, we consider the case of surface integrands which are not bounded from below by the amplitude of the jump of u.We obtain three main results: compactness with respect to Γ-convergence, representation of the Γ-limit in an integral form and identification of its integrands, and homogenisation formulas without periodicity assumptions. In particular, the classical case of periodic homogenisation follows as a by-product of our analysis. Moreover, our result covers also the case of stochastic homogenisation, as we will show in a forthcoming paper.  相似文献

We consider two incompressible viscous fluid flows interacting through thin non-Newtonian boundary layers of higher Reynolds? number. We study the asymptotic behaviour of the problem, with respect to the vanishing thickness of the layers, using Γ-convergence methods. We derive general interfacial boundary conditions between the two fluid flows. These boundary conditions are specified for some particular cases including periodic or fractal structures of layers.  相似文献
