Existence and multiplicity of solutions to a perturbed Neumann problem

In this paper we establish an existence theorem of strong solutions to a perturbed Neumann problem of the type In particular, our solutions take their values in a fixed real interval. Surveying post-saddle nuclear dissipation with protons and a particles as probes

Using a Langevin model, we calculate post-saddle proton and a-particle multiplicities as a function of the post-saddle dissipation strength (β) for the heavy systems ~(234)Cf, ~(240)Cf, ~(246)Cf and ~(240)U. We find that, with increasing isospin of the system, the sensitivity of post-saddle light charged-particle multiplicities to β decreases considerably and, moreover, for 240U the charged-particle multiplicities are no longer sensitive to β. These results suggest that in order to determine the post-saddle friction strength more accurately by measuring the multiplicities of pre-scission protons and a particles, it is best to populate those heavy compound systems with low isospin.

Notes on Hilbert-Kunz Multiplicity of Rees Algebras

Abstract

In this paper, we estimate the Hilbert-Kunz multiplicity of the (extended) Rees algebras in terms of some invariants of the base ring. Also, we give an explicit formula for the Hilbert-Kunz multiplicities of Rees algebras over Veronese subrings.     

Optimal packet-to-slot assignment in mobile telecommunications

The problem of assigning information packets of different services to time slots of a radio frame is addressed. Packet sizes are divisible, and a maximum time slot to which a packet can be assigned is given. We present a polynomial-time scheduling algorithm maximizing the number of scheduled packets.     

Explicit construction of high-pass filter sequence for orthogonal multiwavelets

For the construction of multiwavelets, there are no unified, explicit formulas as that in the scalar case available so far. In this paper, by studying the relationship between length 3 and length 4 filter sequences of orthogonal multiwavelets based on the result of Chui for the construction of length 3 orthogonal multiwavelets, a set of explicit formulas is given for the construction of length 4 high-pass filter sequence. Examples demonstrate that our proposed approach not only provides explicit formulas for the construction of length 4 high-pass filter sequence with multiplicity r, but also yields a set of new low-pass and high-pass filter sequences with length 3 and multiplicity 2r.     

含参数线性方程组解的判别方法注记

当线性方程组中含有未知参数时,线性方程组解的情况往往需要进行讨论.本文给出了在非齐次线性方程组系数矩阵中含有未知参数且系数行列式等于零的情况下,判定对应参数值下方程组的解是无解还是有无穷多解的两个判定定理.和以前的方法比较,本文提出的讨论方法更直接.     

The algebraic multiplicity of the complex eigenvalues of population operator and its application

In this paper we discuss the algebraic multiplicity of the complex eigenvalue of population operator. Under certain condition we first prove that all the complex eigenvalues of this operator, except at most finitely many ones, are of algebraic multiplicity 1,and then, as an application of this result, we obtain the asymptotic expansion of the solution of corresponding population system.

研究了两部件并联维修系统算子的性质,通过选取空间和定义算子将模型方程转化成了抽象柯西问题,证明了系统算子是定义域稠的预解正算子,0是系统算子的几何重数为1的本征值.讨论了系统算子的共轭算子及其定义域,证明了0是共轭算子的代数重数为1的特征值.

通过使用Hammastein积分方程和锥上的不动点定理对于一类含时间奇异性的二阶非线性Dirich．1et问题建立了三个局部存在定理．主要结论表明只要非线性项的主要部分在某些有界集合上的高度是适当的此问题具有n个正解,其中竹是一个任意的自然数．
