The reactivity of the surface of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) film under 172 nm UV irradiation (xenon excimer lamp) towards nitrogen-borne 1-octene, n-nonane and heptafluorodecene vapor was investigated. Materials receiving from 0 to 24 J/cm2 of UV were examined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), time of flight secondary ion mass spectroscopy (ToF/SIMS), water and mineral oil contact angle measurement and atomic force microscopy (AFM). A uniform nanoscale layer developed on PET surface attributed to the grafting reaction between photolytically-produced polymer radicals and vapor phase molecules. 相似文献

We show the existence of a smooth map between the two corresponding deformation functors and study the kernel of this map. Ab initio calculations showed that the tetrachlorodibenzo-para-dioxin radical cations (TCDD RCs) with a planar structure have two steady states with asymmetric dioxin cycles. The activation barriers between these states are up to 2 kcal/mole, so that the RCs may be regarded as being structurally nonrigid within the dioxin cycle. The 2,3,7,8-TCDD RC is more stable than the 1,4,6,9-TCDD RC, the energy difference being 5.2 kcal/mole. The adiabatic ionization potential of 2,3,7,8-TCDD (7.54 eV) is 0.1 eV smaller than the corresponding potential of 1,4,6,9-TCDD. These factors account for the increased hemoproteide affinity and hence increased biological activity of 2,3,7,8-TCDD. 相似文献

Microporous poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVdF) separators for lithium-ion batteries, used in liquid organic electrolytes, have been characterized with respect to the swelling phenomena on dense PVdF membranes (obtained through hot pressing). In the first and second parts of this study, we have described the swelling equilibria and swelling kinetics of dense PVdF. Here the thermal properties of PVdF gels and their irreversible modifications induced by swelling are characterized. Changes in thin zinc-sulfide films under the action of the γ-radiation of Co60 are studied by investigating electroluminescence spectra of terbium embedded in these films as a luminescent probe. It is
shown that changes in the relation of the intensities of bands, a decrease in their halfwidth and the background component,
and simplification of the spectrum are observed in a short-wave region of the Tb radiation spectrum that corresponds to5D3→7Fj transitions. The same modification of the radiation spectrum is characteristic of ZnS films whose crystalline structure is
ordered in the course of thermal annealing at a temperature of 350°C. Based on the analysis of the data obtained it is inferred
that irradiating the ZnS films with small radiation doses of 104–105 rad leads to the ordering of their crystalline structure due to the elimination of one of the types of structural defects.

以金刚石压腔高压装置为工具,用Ⅱ型金刚石作压砧兼红外窗口,对本征态聚苯胺进行了高压(0~8.4 GPa)就位红外光谱测试。结果表明:在4.8~5.2 GPa压力区间,代表醌环振动的吸收峰相对代表苯环振动的吸收峰变小,表明聚苯胺在此压力区间结构上发生了显著变化,且这种变化是不可逆的。聚苯胺的高压(0~14.5 GPa)电阻测量结果表明:当压力小于7.5 GPa时,电阻随压力升高而显著降低,据此认为聚苯胺为电子性导电物质;在7.5 GPa处电阻出现极小值,然后又缓慢升高,至10 GPa后基本不变。推测聚苯胺电阻极小值是由结构变化引起的。至于红外光谱与电阻测量结果反映聚苯胺结构变化的压力值不一致,可能是由于测试条件不同所致。 相似文献

Series of [FePt(4min)/Fe(tFe)]10 multilayers have been prepared by RF magnetron sputtering and post-annealing in order to optimize their magnetic properties by structural designs. The structure, surface morphology, composition and magnetic properties of the deposited films have been characterized by X-ray diffractometer (XRD), Rutherford backscattering (RBS), scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscope (EDX) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). It is found that after annealing at temperatures above 500 °C, FePt phase undergoes a phase transition from disordered FCC to ordered FCT structure, and becomes a hard magnetic phase. X-ray diffraction studies on the series of [FePt/Fe]n multilayer with varying Fe layer thickness annealed at 500 and 600 °C show that lattice constants change with Fe layer thickness and annealing temperature. Both lattice constants a and c are smaller than those of standard ones, and lattice constant a decreases as Fe layer deposition time increases. Only a slight increase in grain size was observed as Fe layer decreased in samples annealed at 500 °C. However, the increase in grain size is large in samples annealed at 600 °C. The coercivities of [FePt/Fe]n multilayers decrease with Fe layer deposition time, and the energy product (BH)max reaches a maximum in the samples with Fe layer deposition time of 3 min. Comparison of magnetic properties with structure showed an almost linear relationship between the lattice constant a and the coercivities of the FePt phase. 相似文献

In an earlier paper on a malignant cell invasion model (Marchantet al., SIAM J. Appl. Math, 60, 2000) we introduced a novelform of discontinuous travelling wave solution. These solutionscould be studied easily by combining behaviour within a phaseplane with the RankineHugoniot shock conditions, whichdescribe properties (such as the ratio of the jump discontinuitiesto the speed of propagation) that solutions may possess. Theseresults were new for several reasons. The shock conditions relateto hyperbolic equations (which the model is) but were appliedin a travelling wave ordinary differential equation phase planeusing techniques that usually apply to parabolic reactiondiffusionsystems. In addition the solutions possess singular behaviournear several points in the phase plane but in spite of thisthere exists a robust and stable family of physically interestingsolutions. In this paper we discuss two previously studied models, oneof detonation theory and one of angiogenesis. We show that eachof these models also possesses a family of discontinuous travellingwave solutions which was not previously discovered. Of particularinterest is the solution which has a blunt interface at thefront of the invading profile. In all three models it is thissolution that is seen to stably evolve from physically relevantinitial data, and for physically relevant parameter values. This work confirms the robustness of these novel travellingwave solutions and their applicability to a wider range of mathematicalmodelling situations. 相似文献
