Photoluminescence Characterization of Silicon Nanoparticles Hybridized Europium Complex

A europium complex Eu (DBM)3 TPPO (Eu tris(benzoylmethide)-(triphenylphosphine oxide)) and silicon nanoparticles have been hybridized.The hybridization can evidently change the photoluminescence (PL) characteristics of the Eu complex in the following aspects:under an excitation of 390nm,the intensity of the PL peak at 611nm due to the ^5Du-^7F2 transition of the Eu^3 ions has been increased by 30%,and thc integrated PL intensity in the visible range has been increased by nearly 3 times;the PL excitation efficiency beyond 440nm has been improved cvidently;the peak in the PL excitation spectrum shifts from 408nm to 388nm,and the PL decay time decreases from 2.07 to 0.96μs,The experimental results indicatde that in the PL process,the photoexcited energy may transfer from the silicon nanoparticlcs to the Eu^3 ions.     

A Liouville type theorem for polyharmonic elliptic systems

In this paper, we consider the polyharmonic system m(−Δ)U=Vq,m(−Δ)V=Up in RN, for m>1, N>2m, with p?1, q?1, but not both equal to 1, where m(−Δ) is the polyharmonic operator. Set α=2m(q+1)/(pq−1), β=2m(p+1)/(pq−1), for α,β∈[(N−2)/2,N−2m), we prove the nonexistence of positive solutions.     

Discovery of a new long-lived isomeric state in 125Ce

A new long-lived isomeric state in the near proton dripline nucleus ¹²⁵Ce has been identified with Schottky mass spectrometry at GSI. The excitation energy E ^* = 103(12)keV and the decay time of 193(1)s have been obtained from a single stored fully ionized ^125m Ce⁵⁸⁺ ion. The data implies an E3 transition and a 1/2⁺ assignment for the spin of the isomer.     

A molecular network model to describe the nonlinear viscoelastic behavior of polymers

A transient molecular network model is built to describe the nonlinear viscoelasticity of polymers by considering the effect of entanglement loss and regeneration on the relaxation of molecular strands. It is an extension of previous network theories. The experimental data on three thermoplastic polymers (ABS, PVC and PA6) obtained under various loading conditions are used to test the model. Agreement between the theoretical and experimental curves shows that the suggested model can describe successfully the relaxation behavior of the thermoplastic polymers under different loading rates by using relatively few relaxation modes. Thus the micromechanism responsible for strain-rate dependence of relaxation process and the origin of nonlinear viscoelasticity may be disclosed. 设G是一个有限秩的幂零p-群,α和β是G的两个p-自同构,记I= ((αβ(g))(βα(g))-1)|g∈G),则(i)当I是有限循环群时,α和β生成一个有限P-群; (ii)当I是拟循环p-群时,α和β生成一个可解的剩余有限P-群,它是有限生成的无挠幂零群被有限p-群的扩张．

In this paper, we study the Maslov-type index theory for linear Hamiltonian systems with brake orbits boundary value conditions and its applications to the existence of multiple brake orbits of nonlinear Hamiltonian systems.     

Modulation of Spin Distribution and Spin Transport by a Magnetic Field in a Quasi-One-Dimensional System with Spin--Orbit Coupling

The distributions of spin and currents modulated by magnetic field in a transverse parabolic confined two-dimensional electronic system with a Rashba spin--orbit coupling have been studied numerically. It is shown that the spin accumulation and the spin related current are generated by magnetic field if the spin--orbit coupling is presented. The distributions of charge and spin currents are antisymmetrical along the cross-section of confined system. A transversely applied electric field does not influence the characteristic behaviour of charge- and spin-dependent properties.     

Bivariate Recursive Equations on Excess-of-loss Reinsurance

This paper investigates bivariate recursive equations on excess-of-loss reinsurance. For an insurance portfolio, under the assumptions that the individual claim severity distribution has bounded continuous density and the number of claims belongs to R1 （a, b） family, bivariate recursive equations for the joint distribution of the cedent＇s aggregate claims and the reinsurer＇s aggregate claims are obtained.
