Reducing Insertion Loss of Photonic Crystal Couplers by Suppressing the Remained Power

We find that the increasing coupling strength can lead to a decreasing density of power inside the waveguide of a photonic crystal waveguide （PC-WG） directional coupler, which is called the mode power remaining phenomenon. This phenomenon is detrimental to achieving low insertion loss of the coupler. An improved structure of the PC- WG directional coupler is proposed by simply increasing the radii of air holes in the post coupling region. The simulation results demonstrate that the insertion loss can be reduced dramatically by suppressing the remained power, and therefore both the short coupling length （8μm） and low insertion loss （lower than 0.5dB） can be obtained.     

Trapping State in a System of Single Three-level Trapped Ion Driven by External Fields

We investigate the interaction of a single three-level trapped ion with two laser beams. By applying a unitary transformation and a small rotating transformation, an exact solution to this quantum system is obtained without performing the Lamb-Dicke approximation, and the trapping state is observed.     

Temperature Dependence of the Fluorescence Emission Intensity of Eu/TiO2 Nanocrystals

The samples of europium ions doped titanium dioxide （Eu^3＋/TiO2） nanocrystals are synthesized by a modified sol-gel method with hydrothermal treatment. The x-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy are used to characterize the sample. The temperature-dependent fluorescence emission effect of Eu^3＋-doped samples is investigated. It is found that under the excitation of 514.5nm light, the emission intensity of Eu^3＋ reaches a maximum value at 450K among various Eu^3＋ dopant concentrations in Eu^3＋ /TiO2 nanocrystals. The variation of the emission intensity may be attributed to the photon-assist absorption and the temperature-quenching effect.     

用单粒子格林函数和电子动量谱学研究二氧甲基甲烷的轨道电子结构

首次用单粒子格林函数理论方法研究了二氧甲基甲烷的轨道离化能谱和电子动量谱，通过比较DFT和ADC（3）方法在不同基组下的理论计算结果，说明了基组中弥散函数的重要性，并验证了端基异构效应的存在．     

轴流式水轮机摆度对压力脉动的影响

水轮机组运行中过大的振动摆度将导致轴瓦温度过高以及上、下机架和机组本身疲劳破坏,甚至导致机组的共振,将对机组的稳定运行造成很大的影响.本文以大型轴流转桨式水轮机为研究对象,在实际运行中该机组主轴的摆度在0.15～0.35 mm之间.本论文通过对轴流转桨式水轮机全流道三维非定常湍流计算,主要预测了转轮后、尾水管进口及尾水管内等几个位置在未考虑主轴摆度、主轴摆度分别为0.2 mm和0.3 mm情况下的压力脉动,对以上三种情况下产生的压力脉动结果进行了比较和分析,从而探讨了轴流式水轮机主轴摆度对压力脉动的影响.
