Photon echoes in molecular iodine vapors and nanofilms as a method of optical data processing

Properties and parameters of the photon echoes (PEs) used in optical data processing are analyzed. Physical methods for constructing functional processors and measuring devices on the basis of PE are proposed. Experiments on detecting femtosecond PEs in inorganic nanofilms at the room temperature are described.

Acid-Catalyzed Reaction of (4,4-Diethoxybutyl)ureas with Phenols as a Novel Approach to the Synthesis of α-Arylpyrrolidines

1-(4,4-Diethoxybutyl)-3-alkylureas undergo intramolecular cyclization in the presence of trifluoroacetic acid and various phenols, leading to the new N-alkyl-2-arylpyrrolidine-1-carboxamides with moderate to excellent yields. It was found that these compounds undergo spontaneous solid-phase epimerization at room temperature. Advantages of the proposed approach are mild reaction conditions and no need for expensive reagents or catalysts.

Phospholipids of the pericarp ofCrataegus turkestanica

Phospholipids of the pericarp of Crataegus turkestanica have been studied and 12 classes of phospholipids have been detected, the main ones being phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, and phosphatidylinositol.
