Reaction of amidophosphites with hydrogen chloride

Conclusions The reaction of some mono-, di-, and triamidophosphites with HCl was studied at low temperatures. The amido group is replaced by chlorine in the first step of the reaction, apparently due to protonation of the nitrogen atom of the amidophosphite. The formation of P-protonated products in the case of the monoamidophosphites is due to the disproportionation of dialkyl chlorophosphites in excess HCl.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 9, September, 1977.     

Perturbation methods in group analysis

In this paper we describe the theory of approximate groups of transformations which lets us constructively find approximate symmetries of equations with a small parameter. For evolution equations we introduce the concept of formal symmetries and Bäcklund transformations. Reaction of ethyl ethylene phosphite with 1,1,1-trifluoroacetone

Conclusions Ethyl ethylene phosphite reacts with 1,1,1-trifluoroacetone to give 5-ethoxy-2,4-di-methyl-2,4-bis(trifluoromethyl)-1,3,6,9-tetraoxa-5-phosphaspiro[4.4]nonane, which when reacted with HCl is converted to ethylene-trifluoromethyl--(1-hydroxy-1-trifluoromethyl)-ethoxyethylphosphonate], and when heated is converted to 5-ethoxy-2,3-dimethyl-2,3-bis(tri-fluoromethyl)-1, 4,6,9-tetraoxa-5-phosphaspiro[4.4]nonane.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 6, pp. 1391–1392, June, 1979.

Phospholipids of the medium-fiber cotton plant variety 159-F

Summary 1. The qualitative and quantitative compositions of the PLs of an industrial medium-fiber cotton plant of variety 159-F (1972 and 1974 harvests) have been considered. It has been shown that the total PL amounted to 1.76 and 1.85% and consisted of 60–65% PC, 16–18% PI, 6–8% PE, and 10–14% of combined minor components, respectively.2. The distribution of the lipid phosphorus has been studied during the isolation of PLs by selective solvents. The lipid phosphorus amounted to 5.5% of the total phosphorus in the seed kernels.3. The qualitative and quantitative compositions of the fatty acids of the individual lipid fractions and of the individual PCs, PIs, and PEs have been determined. A study of the phospholipids of the cotton plant of variety 159-F in the process of its development

The distribution of phosphorus with the secretion of phospholipids (PLs) in six stages of development of the cotton plant has been studied. It has been shown that additional extraction with methanol leads to the isolation of further PLs. Both the seeds and cotton-plant bushes during growth contain phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylinositol, phosphatidylethanolamine, X₁, and X₂, and also unidentified PLs, one of which, Y₂, is phosphatidic acid according to qualitative reactions, chromatographic mobility, and literature information.     

Addition of phthalimide and acetone to phosphorylated methylene quinones

New method for synthesis of phosphorylated methylene quinones via bromination of the sterically hindered phenol [prepared via benzylation of secondary chlorophosphines with 4-(methoxymethyl)-2,6-di-tert-butylphenol] with N-bromosuccinimide followed by dehydrobromination with trimethyl orthoformate has been developed. Tertiary phosphine oxides containing the fragment of sterically hindered phenol and amine or acetonyl group have been synthesized for the first time in the reaction of phosphorylated methylene quinones with N- and C-nucleophiles.
