本文以苯甲酸对苯二酚酯双马来酰亚胺(Ia)和二苯醚二胺为单体,合成了Ia/二苯醚二胺的共聚物,应用FTIR谱、热分析DTA和DSC、热台偏光显微镜对共聚物的结构和液晶行为进行了研究。该类共聚物具有较好的热致液晶行为,其液晶相结构可以通过共聚物的化学交联反应而固定在交联网络中,从而形成液晶网络材料。  相似文献

A series of liquid crystalline polymers with two-dimensional mesogenic units were synthesized by solution polycondensation at low temperature. All the polymers were liquid crystalline. The melting temperature T_m (except that with substituent of methoxy) and the clearing temperature T_i of the polymers change regularly with varying of the length of the alkyl substituent groups.  相似文献

基于聚烯烃用成核剂的结构特征设计合成了两种极性基团和非极性基团交替排列的乙烯基单体,并利用自由基引发聚合,制备出相应的侧链型液晶聚合物.采用元素分析、红外光谱和核磁共振氢谱对所合成单体和聚合物的结构进行了确认.并采用热失重(TGA)和差示扫描量热仪(DSC)研究了聚合物的热稳定性和相转变温度.结果表明,所合成聚合物的起始热分解温度均在337℃以上,具有优异的热稳定性;液晶相变温度区间可达186 K,具有较宽的液晶态温度范围.热台偏光显微镜(HS-POM)研究结果表明,聚合物均呈现出纹影织构,证明所合成的聚合物均为热致向列型侧链液晶高分子.采用DSC和HS-POM研究了所合成的侧链液晶聚合物对高密度聚乙烯(HDPE)异相成核结晶行为的影响.结果表明,侧链型液晶聚合物在提高HDPE结晶温度、结晶度以及降低HDPE晶粒的尺寸及分布方面均有优异的效果,是一类HDPE有效的成核剂.  相似文献

A series of liquid crystalline polymers with T-shaped two-dimensional mesogenic unitswere synthesized via low temperature solution polycondensation of 2-(4'-alkoxy-phenyl)hydroquinone with various diacyl dichlorides. The polymers were found to be nematic andshown thermotropic liquid crystalline behaviors through observations using DSC, polarizedmicroscopy and X-ray diffraction. 以2,5 二(对烷氧基苯甲酰氧基) 对苯二酚和不同结构的脂族二酰氯为单体,采用低温溶液缩聚的方法,合成了一系列新的液晶基元垂直于分子主链的Sc相串型液晶高分子.单体的结构通过元素分析、IR、1H NMR和MS等方法确证.聚合物通过GPC、DSC、TG、WAXD和偏光显微镜等方法测试表征.研究发现,所有的聚合物加热至各自的熔点以上都能形成液晶态,在液晶态可以观察到纹影或焦锥织构.通过变温X 射线衍射证明它们为Sc相.所有聚合物的熔点(Tm)和液晶态的清亮点(T1)随分子中末端烷氧基增大和柔性间隔段长度增加逐渐降低,液晶态温度范围变窄.  相似文献

A novel class of the liquid crystal polymers with mesogens laterally attached to flexible main chain backbones has been synthesized recently by us. While the flexible backbones tend to take configuration of maximum entropy the mesogenic side groups tend to orientate because of the anisotropie soft dispersion forces. A mean field theory is presented to describe the competition between these two trends which makes it possible for this class of polymers to show anisotropic (liquid crystal) phase within certain temperature range where the polymer main chains and the side chain mesogens will take approximately parallel arrangement, which is different from the normal side chain liquid crystal polymers. The temperature range of the liquid crystal phase, its ordering and phase transition all depend on the flexibility of the backbone, the strengthof the anisotropic forces of the side groups and the hinge elasticity. The results show that the liquid crystalisotropic phase transition is of the first order. The phase diagram, i. e. the dependence of the transition temperature on the structure of the polymers is also given.  相似文献

A new series of liquid crystal polyesters with T-shaped two-dimensional mesogenic units weresynthesized by melt polycondensation of the diacetates of 2-(4'-alkoxy -phenyl)-hydroquinones with 4,4'-alkylenedioxydibenzoic acid. The polymers were characterized by using polarized microscopy, DSC and X-ray diffraction. It was realized that all the polymers have nematic thermotropic liquid crystallinecharacteristics. The melting temperature (T_m) and isotropization temperature (T_i) of the polymers changeregularly with varying lengths of the alkoxy side group and the length of the alkylene group in the main chainin company with an even-odd effect. The mesophase temperature range also varies regularly with the polymerstructure. It is shown that the mesophase range has been widened.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of a new series of side-chain liquid crystal polyepichlorohydrin (PECH) polymers are described. The structures and thermal properties of the synthesized polymers were investigated using IR, NMR, polarized optical microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. A substantial increase of the glass transition temperature with the degree of substitution of side-chain groups was observed. Polymers with a degree of substitution of side groups, of at least 60%, exhibited thermotropic liquid crystalline behaviour. The polymers present thermal liquid crystalline behaviour and form Schlieren and thread texture upon cooling from the isotropic phase, after annealing for 120 min at different temperatures. In addition, the thermal decomposition of PECHOPhPhCN was studied by thermogravimetry under both nitrogen and air environments. The temperature of the maximum decomposition rate was about 340 °C. Weight loss decreased considerably after 350 °C and was approximately 98% at 700 °C. Chemical modification of functional polymers offers a simple method for obtaining liquid crystalline polymers whose transition temperature can be tailored by varying the amount of substitution, however complete substitution cannot be achieved.  相似文献

Chiral liquid crystalline polymers containing biphenylene and azobenzene as the mesogensand S(-)-2-methyl-1-butanol as the chiral end group were synthesized and characterized by DSC,POM and X-ray diffraction. These polymers show crystalline or glassy liquid crystalline phase atroom temperature. Most polymers show smectic A or highly ordered smectic phases abovemelting temperature.  相似文献

Microstructures were produced on curved surfaces and micro-protrusions by using direct micromolding with fourthermoplastic polymers. This method is simpler and more convenient than micromolding with liquid prepolymer or using theμTM method. By repeated molding, crossed structures were produced with a stamp prepared only with lines. The processingvariables including the softening temperature of the polymers and heating time were discussed. The result shows that theoptimal molding temperature is preferably slightly higher than the melting temperature of the thermoplastic polymers, atwhich polymers are in the critical states of being melted. This method can be applied to many polymers except those with high softening temperatures or high rate of shrinkage upon temperature change.  相似文献

以 4,4′ (α,ω 烷亚甲基二酰氧 )二苯甲醛和二氨基二苯并 1 5 冠 5为单体 ,采用溶液缩聚方法 ,合成了一类新的席夫碱型液晶高分子冠醚 .一种单体采用脂族二酰氯和对羟基苯甲醛反应制备 ,另一种新的单体采用二硝基二苯并 1 5 冠 5 ,在钯 碳催化剂存在下 ,水合肼还原制备 .合成的二硝基和二氨基 二苯并 1 5 冠 5 ,未能从IR和1 H NMR谱图上区分它们的几何异构体 .聚合物的分子量不高 ,Mn 在 1 0 1 0 0~ 1 3 0 0 0之间 .单体的结构通过元素分析、IR、1 H NMR和MS等方法确证 .聚合物的性质采用GPC、DSC、TG和POM等方法进行了研究 .发现所有的聚合物加热到各自的熔融温度 (Tm)以上都能形成液晶态 ,在液晶态可以观察到向列相的丝状织构和纹影织构 .聚合物的玻璃化转变温度 (Tg)、熔融温度和各向同性温度 (Ti)随聚合物分子中柔性间隔基的变化而变化 ,它们有较高的清亮点温度和宽的液晶态温度范围 .WAXD的研究进一步证实了聚合物的液晶性  相似文献

Luminescent lanthanide-containing chiral liquid crystalline polymers are graft-copolymerised using poly(methylhydrogeno)siloxane (PMHS), crosslinking agent, liquid crystalline monomer and lanthanide complexes. The chemical structures of the monomers are characterised by FTIR, 1?H NMR and elemental analyses. The mesomorphic properties and phase behaviour are investigated by differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, polarising optical microscopy and X-ray diffraction. The polymers containing less than 9 mol% of the crosslinking units reveal reversible mesomorphic phase transition, wide mesophase temperature ranges and high thermal stability. With the introduction of lanthanide complex units, the polymers are enabled with the significant luminescent properties. The temperature dependence of fluorescence intensity was studied in the liquid crystalline phase. The IR imaging shows that the lanthanide complex units evenly distribute in polymers.  相似文献

利用紫外-可见光谱,对比研究了尾挂侧链液晶聚合物和腰挂侧链液晶聚合物在结晶相和液晶相转变过程中的液晶基元取向情况.研究表明,石英基材表面倾向于诱导偶氮液晶基元垂直于基材排列;观察到了在液晶态尾挂侧链液晶聚合物和腰挂侧链液晶聚合物的不同取向行为.在室温下重新结晶数天后,腰挂液晶聚合物的紫外可见光谱缓慢回复.  相似文献

Ferrocene‐containing polyphosphate and phosphonate esters were synthesized by the solution polycondensation method. The structure of the polymers was confirmed using various spectroscopic techniques. The formation of two types of chain blocks was confirmed by 31P NMR spectroscopy. Hot stage optical polarized microscope (HOPM) analysis revealed that all the polymers have a liquid–crystalline property. The char yields of the synthesized similar polymers were much higher than those of nonphosphorus polymers already reported in the literature. DSC analysis confirmed our predictions over the liquid–crystalline property, glass‐transition temperature, isotropization temperature, and thermal stability of the polymers. The effects of substitution on the side chain, structure of the liquid‐–crystalline phase, and thermal stability of the polymers have also been discussed. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Luminescent liquid crystalline polymers consisting of Iridium attached to polysiloxanes are prepared. 4-Cyanophenyl 4-(allyloxy) benzoate (M1) and an Iridium complex (Ir-M2) grafted to poly(methylhydrogeno)siloxane are used for the preparation of the Iridium-containing liquid crystalline polymers. The chemical structures are characterised by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and 1H NMR. The mesomorphic properties and phase behaviour are investigated by differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, polarising optical microscopy and X-ray diffraction. The polymers containing <1.2 mol% of the Iridium ions reveal reversible mesomorphic phase transition, wide mesophase temperature ranges and high thermal stability. The introduction of the Iridium ions does not change the liquid crystalline state of polymer systems; on the contrary, the polymers are enabled with the luminescent properties. With the Iridium ion contents ranging between 0.3 and 1.2 mol%, luminescent intensity of polymers gradually increased. The temperature dependence of luminescent intensity was studied in the liquid crystalline phase.  相似文献

A series of chiral smectic C phase shish‐kebab type liquid crystal polymers was synthesized by low‐temperature solution condensation polymerization from 2,5‐bis[4‐((S)‐alkoxyl)benzoyloxy]hydroquinone and aliphatic diacylchloride. The monomers and their precursors were identified by using elemental analysis, infrared spectrum, nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectrometry. The polymers were characterized by gel permeation chromatography, differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, temperature‐variable X‐ray diffraction, polarimeter and polarizing microscope (POM) with a heating stage. All the polymers entered into liquid crystal phase when heated to above their melting temperature. The Schlieren texture and sanded texture were observed on POM. All the chiral compounds and polymers showed high optical activity. Temperature‐variable, X‐ray diffraction study together with the POM and polarimetric analysis revealed that the polymers synthesized are chiral smectic C phase. Thus, the present report provides examples of shish‐kebab type polymers that form a chiral smectic C phase. The change of the melting temperature and isotropization temperature with the variation in molecular structure was also discussed. Copyright © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A series of quaternary phosphonium salts based on ionic liquid-crystalline polymers which were synthesised by triphenylphosphine and brominated polysiloxanes containing cholesteryl mesogens. The chemical structures, liquid crystalline properties and antimicrobial performance of [ChP]Brs were investigated by a series of test methods. [ChP]Brs showed smectic A mesophase with a wide temperature range of liquid crystalline phase in the heating and cooling cycles. The glass transition temperature and clearing point temperature decreased with the increase of triphenylphosphine content. While the increase of phosphorus content lead to the increase of antibacterial properties of polymers. The liquid crystal polymer provides full spatial support for complete contact between phosphorus ions and bacteria, So that the quaternary phosphonium salt can be fully sterilised.  相似文献

报道了新型的含对甲氧基苯氧羰基偶氮苯基团的甲基丙烯酸酯单体与含对甲氧基苯氧羰基苯基团的甲基丙烯酸酯单体的合成及其自由基共聚合.利用1H NMR、IR、UV Vis、元素分析、GPC、TG DTA、POM及X 射线衍射等手段对偶氮单体及聚合物的结构与性能进行了表征,证明两种单体的共聚合产物为无规共聚物,而且各聚合物均具有较好的热稳定性.研究结果还表明,偶氮单体与聚合物在升温过程中均显示出向列相液晶织构,且聚合物的液晶相范围随偶氮含量的增加而变宽.  相似文献
