Novel 4,4′‐dichloro‐2,2′‐[ethylenedioxybis(nitrilomethylidyne)]diphenol (H2L) and its complexes [CuL] and {[CoL(THF)]2(OAc)2Co} have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, 1H‐NMR and X‐ray crystallography. [CuL] forms a mononuclear structure which may be stabilized by the intermolecular contacts between copper atom (Cu) and oxygen atom (O3) to form a head‐to‐tail dimer. In {[CoL(THF)]2(OAc)2Co}, two acetates coordinate to three cobalt ions through Co? O? C? O? Co bridges and four µ‐phenoxo oxygen atoms from two [CoL(THF)] units also coordinate to cobalt ions. Tri-nuclear cobalt and nickel complexes ([(CoL)2(OAc)2Co]?·?THF (I) and [(NiL)2(OAc)2(THF)2Ni]?·?THF (II)) have been synthesized by reaction of a new Salen-type bisoxime chelating ligand of 2,2′-[ethylenedioxybis(nitrilomethylidyne)]dinaphthol(H2L) with cobalt(II) acetate tetrahydrate or nickel(II) acetate tetrahydrate, respectively. Complexes I and II were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, TG-DTA and 1H-NMR etc. The X-ray crystal structures of I and II reveal that two acetate ions coordinate to three cobalt or nickel ions through M–O–C–O–M (M?=?Co or Ni) bridges and four μ-naphthoxo oxygen atoms from two [ML] units also coordinate to cobalt(II) or nickel(II). Complex I has two distorted square-pyramidal coordination spheres and an octahedral geometry around Co1. In complex II all three nickel ions are six-coordinate.  相似文献

[Co3(1,2-S2C6H4)3(PPh3)3][CoBr3(DMF)].sol (1, sol=CHCl3,O(C2H5)2,H2O) was obtained from the reaction of CoBr(PPh3)3 with Na2(S2C6H4) in chloroform. The Co3 core in the cation of 1 exhibits a metal-metal bonded isosceles triangle, in which the two longer Co-Co bonds are both bridged by S2C6H4 ligands on two sides of the triangle plane respectively, while the bottom short Co-Co bond is bridged by the third bidentate S2C6H4 ligand. A series of polynu-clear cobalt cluster compounds with phosphine, thiolate and/or sulphur ligands were prepared by low oxidation state Co+ with thiolates in organic solvents. These tri-, tetra-, hexa-, heptanuclear cluster compounds 1-8 with various types of crystal structures can be viewed as the condensed polynuclear cobalt complexes that the cobalt atom frameworks with sulphur bridged were built through the small triangular units of [Co3S3nL3] (n=1,2) with or without [CoL] (L=PR3, Br, Cl, 5-C5H5) fragments.  相似文献

The binuclear cobalt(II) amide complex [(CoL2)2-(TMEDA)] (1) [L = N(Si(t)BuMe2)(2-C5H3N-6-Me); TMEDA = Me2NCH2CH2NMe2] has been synthesized by the reaction of anhydrous CoCl2 with 2 equiv of [Li(L)(TMEDA)]. X-ray crystallography revealed that complex 1 consists of two [CoL2] units linked by one TMEDA ligand molecule, which binds in an unusual N,N'-bridging mode. Protolysis of 1 with the bulky phenol Ar(Me)OH (Ar(Me) = 2,6-(t)Bu2-4-MeC6H2) and thiophenol ArSH (Ar = 2,4,6-(t)Bu3C6H2) gives the neutral monomeric cobalt(II) bis(aryloxide) [Co(OAr(Me))2(TMEDA)] (2) and dithiolate [Co(SAr)2(TMEDA)] (3), respectively. Complexes 1-3 have been characterized by mass spectrometry, microanalysis, magnetic moment, and melting-point measurements, in addition to X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

Seven new glutaric acid complexes, Co(H 2O) 5L 1, Na 2[CoL 2] 2, Na 2[L(H 2L) 4/2] 3, {[Co 3(H 2O) 6L 2](HL) 2}.4H 2O 4, {[Co 3(H 2O) 6L 2](HL) 2}.10H 2O 5, {[Co 3(H 2O) 6L 2]L 2/2}.4H 2O 6, and Na 2{[Co 3(H 2O) 2]L 8/2].6H 2O 7 were obtained and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction methods along with elemental analyses, IR spectroscopic and magnetic measurements (for 1 and 2). The [Co(H 2O) 5L] complex molecules in 1 are assembled into a three-dimensional supramolecular architecture based on intermolecular hydrogen bonds. Compound 2 consists of the Na (+) cations and the necklace-like glutarato doubly bridged [ C o L 4 / 2 ] 2 - infinity 1 anionic chains, and 3 is composed of the Na (+) cations and the anionic hydrogen bonded ladder-like [ L ( H 2 L ) 4 / 2 ] 2 - infinity 1 anionic chains. The trinuclear {[Co 3(H 2O) 6L 2](HL) 2} complex molecules with edge-shared linear trioctahedral [Co 3(H 2O) 6L 2] (2+) cluster cores in 4 and 5 are hydrogen bonded into two-dimensional (2D) networks. The edge-shared linear trioctahedral [Co 3(H 2O) 6L 2] (2+) cluster cores in 6 are bridged by glutarato ligands to generate one-dimensional (1D) chains, which are then assembled via interchain hydrogen bonds into 2D supramolecular networks. The corner-shared linear [Co 3O 16] trioctahedra in 7 are quaternate bridged by glutarato ligands to form 1D band-like anionic {[Co 3(H 2O) 2]L 8/2} (2+) chains, which are assembled via interchain hydrogen bonds into 2D layers, and between them are sandwiched the Na (+) cations. The magnetic behaviors of 1 and 2 obey the Curie-Weiss law with chi m = C/( T - Theta) with the Curie constant C = 3.012(8) cm (3) x mol (-1) x K and the Weiss constant Theta = -9.4(7) K for 1, as well as C = 2.40(1) cm (3) x mol (-1) x K and Theta = -2.10(5) K for 2, indicating weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the Co(II) ions.  相似文献

The reactivity of cobalt(II) salts towards H(3)L (2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-1,3-bis[4-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-3-azabut-3-enyl]-1,3-imidazolidine) was studied in different reaction conditions. Accordingly, the interaction of cobalt(II) acetate with H(3)L in methanol gives rise to the discrete complex [Co(III)(2)L(OAc)(2)(OMe)]*1.5H(2)O.MeOH, 1. Reaction of cobalt(II) acetylacetonate with H(3)L in the presence of dicarboxylic acids was also investigated. Thus, when cobalt(II) acetylacetonate and H(3)L are mixed with terephthalic or malonic acid in 4 : 2 : 1 molar ratios, the mixed valent [Co(II/III)(2)L(acac)(p-O(2)CC(6)H(4)CO(2)H)][Co(II/III)(2)L(acac)(OH)]*2H(2)O*2MeOH, 2 and [Co(II/III)(2)L(acac)(O(2)CCH(2)CO(2)H)][Co(II/III)(2)L(acac)(OH)]*7H(2)O, complexes are isolated. Decreasing the pH of the medium, by addition of a second mol of dicarboxylic acid, leads to [Co(II/III)(2)L(O(2)CCH(2)CO(2))(MeOH)]*2MeOH, 4, while the reaction with terephthalic acid does not proceed. 1, 2 and 4 were crystallographically characterised and all the complexes are dinuclear, with hydrogen bonds that expand the initial nodes. The magnetic characterisation, as well as the NMR spectroscopy, indicates a diamagnetic nature for 1, in agreement with the presence of Co(III), showing the aerial oxidation suffered by the cobalt(II) ions. Nevertheless, are paramagnetic. Temperature variable magnetic measurements were recorded for the crystallographically characterised complexes 2 and 4 and these studies confirm the mixed valence Co(II)/Co(III) nature of the compounds. The best fits of the magnetic data give an axial distortion parameter Delta = 628.7 cm(-1) for 2 and 698.8 cm(-1) for 4, and spin-orbit coupling constant lambda = -117.8 cm(-1) for 2 and -107.0 cm(-1) for 4. Therefore, this study shows that the oxidation degree of the initial cobalt(ii) salt by atmospheric oxygen can be controlled according to the pH of the medium.  相似文献

The interaction between Co(II) and Cu(II) ions with a Py(2)N(4)S(2)-coordinating octadentate macrocyclic ligand (L) to afford dinuclear compounds has been investigated. The complexes were characterized by microanalysis, conductivity measurements, IR spectroscopy and liquid secondary ion mass spectrometry. The crystal structure of the compounds [H(4)L](NO(3))(4), [Cu(2)LCl(2)](NO(3))(2) (5), [Cu(2)L(NO(3))(2)](NO(3))(2) (6), and [Cu(2)L(μ-OH)](ClO(4))(3)·H(2)O (7) was also determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The [H(4)L](4+) cation crystal structure presents two different conformations, planar and step, with intermolecular face-to-face π,π-stacking interactions between the pyridinic rings. Complexes 5 and 6 show the metal ions in a slightly distorted square-pyramidal coordination geometry. In the case of complex 7, the crystal structure presents the two metal ions joined by a μ-hydroxo bridge and the Cu(II) centers in a slightly distorted square plane or a tetragonally distorted octahedral geometry, taking into account weak interactions in axial positions. Electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy is in accordance with the dinuclear nature of the complexes, with an octahedral environment for the cobalt(II) compounds and square-pyramidal or tetragonally elongated octahedral geometries for the copper(II) compounds. The magnetic behavior is consistent with the existence of antiferromagnetic interactions between the ions for cobalt(II) and copper(II) complexes, while for the Co(II) ones, this behavior could also be explained by spin-orbit coupling.  相似文献

We have synthesized an octanuclear zinc(II) cluster [L4Zn8(H2O)3] by the complexation of 3-hydroxysalamo (H4L) with zinc(II) acetate. The complex crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P, with unit cell parameters a = 18.233(10) A, b = 20.518(11) A, c = 21.366(11) A, alpha = 98.7557(2) degrees, beta = 99.191(11) degrees, gamma = 108.309(10) degrees, and Z = 4. The crystallographic analysis revealed the S4 symmetrical assembling of four ligands and that the tetrameric complex has three water molecules in an unsymmetrical fashion. Spectroscopic analysis of the complex strongly suggests that the octanuclear cluster also exists in solution and maintains a conformation similar to that in the crystal structure, although exchange of the coordinating water molecules presumably takes place. In addition, the formation process of the octanuclear complex is highly cooperative. A high coordinating ability of the [(salamo)Zn] unit as well as the catecholato2- moieties probably stabilizes the octanuclear assembly and makes the complexation process cooperative. The corresponding octanuclear cobalt(II) cluster [L4Co8(EtOH)3] was prepared in a similar manner. Complex [L4Co8(H2O)2X] (X = H2O or EtOH) was obtained by the recrystallization from chloroform/hexane. The complex crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P, with unit cell parameters a = 15.2359(10) A, b = 16.9625(12) A, c = 18.9325(13) A, alpha = 101.9710(10) degrees, beta = 105.5410(10) degrees, gamma = 97.1290(10) degrees, and Z = 2. Temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility showed a continuous decrease in the chi(M)T value with decreasing temperature, suggesting antiferromagnetic interaction among cobalt(II) ions. The magnetic susceptibility above 40 K obeys the Curie-Weiss law with a Weiss constant theta of -39 K and a Curie constant C of 19.7 cm(3) K mol(-1).  相似文献

The electronebulization of a cobalt(II)/cysteine(Cys) mixture in water/methanol (50/50) produced mainly cobalt-cationized species. Three main groups of the Co-cationized species can be distinguished in the ESI-MS spectrum: (1) the cobalt complexes including the cysteine amino acid only (they can be singly charged, for example, [Co(Cys)n- H]+ with n = 1-3 or doubly charged such as [Co + (Cys)2]2+); (2) the cobalt complexes with methanol: [Co(CH3OH)n- H]+ with n = 1-3, [Co(CH3OH)4]2+; and (3) the complexes with the two different types of ligands: [Co(Cys)(CH3OH) - H]+. Only the singly charged complexes were observed. Collision-induced dissociation (CID) products of the [Co(Cys)2]2+, [Co(Cys)2 - H]+ and [Co(Cys) - H]+ complexes were studied as a function of the collision energy, and mechanisms for the dissociation reactions are proposed. These were supported by the results of deuterium labelling experiments and by density functional theory calculations. Since [Co(Cys) - H]+ was one of the main product ions obtained upon the CID of [Co(Cys)2]2+ and of [Co(Cys)2 - H]+ under low-energy conditions, the fragmentation pathways of [Co(Cys) - H]+ and the resulting product ion structures were studied in detail. The resulting product ion structures confirmed the high affinity of cobalt(II) for the sulfur atom of cysteine.  相似文献

The reaction between CoCl2 x 6H2O and 2-1-(2-thiazolylazo)-p-cresol (TAC) in acetone resulted in six coordinated cobalt(III) complex, [Co(TAC)2]Cl3. Two TAC ligands coordinate with cobalt ion forming four five membered chelate rings. The cobalt ion is octahedrally coordinated by a phenolic oxygen, azo nitrogen and nitrogen in thiazole rings. Three chloride ions are disordered.  相似文献

The coordination chemistry of the N-substituted arylamido ligands [N(R)(C6H3R'2-2,6)] [R = SiMe3, R' = Me (L1); R = CH2But, R' = Pri (L2)] toward FeII and CoII ions was studied. The monoamido complexes [M(L1)(Cl)(tmeda)] [M = Fe (1), Co (2)] react readily with MeLi, affording the mononuclear, paramagnetic iron(II) and cobalt(II) methyl-arylamido complexes [M(L1)(Me)(tmeda)] [M = Fe (3), Co (4)]. Treatment of 2:1 [Li(L2)(THF)2]/FeCl2 affords the unusual two-coordinate iron(II) bis(arylamide) [Fe(L2)2] (5).  相似文献

A mononuclear Cobalt(Ⅱ) complex [CoL(H2O)2]n (H2L: 4,4′,6,6′-Tetrabromo-2,2′-[ethylenedioxybis(nitrilomethylidyne)]diphenol), has been synthesized and structurally characterized by elemental analysis, IR and X-ray diffraction single crystal structure analysis. The crystal of the complex belongs to monoclinic space group P21/c with a=2.516 8(3) nm, b=1.023 43(18) nm, c=0.789 17(14) nm, β=91.375(2)°, V=2.032 1(5) nm3, Z=4, Dc=2.317 Mg·m-3, μ(Mo Kα)=8.747 mm-1, F(000)=1 356, R1=0.049 7, wR2=0.110 4. The crystal structure of [CoL(H2O)2]n indicates that the complex consists of one cobalt(Ⅱ) atom, one L2- unit and two coordinated water molecules, and the coordination number of the cobalt(Ⅱ) atom is six. One-dimensional chain supramolecular structure is formed by intermolecular hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking of neighboring benzene rings. CCDC: 652649.  相似文献

The potassium salt of o-aminophenol-N,N,O-triacetic acid (APTA) and KMnL·H2O, KCoL·3H2O, KNiL·3H2O, KZnL·3ZH2O, Co(CoL)2·7H2O and Ni(NiL)2·8H2O(L3−:anion of APTA) have been synthesized and characterized by elementary analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, molar conductance, IR spectra, magnetic measurements and electronic spectra. The coordination environments of these metal ions have been discussed on the basis of these studies. The single crystal structure of cobalt(II)-APTA has been determined as CoL·0.5Co(H2O)6·4H2O, which contains two types of cobalt(II). One type of cobalt(II) is coordinated with six water molecules to form Co(H2O)62+, the other is chelated by APTA to form a distorted octahedron and linked into an infinite chain anion [COC6H4(OCH2COO)N(CH2COO)2]n, in which each cobalt(II) atom is linked with neighbouring cobalt(II) atoms through two carboxylate oxygen atoms of the phenoxyacetate group. Water molecules occupy interstices in the structure.  相似文献

A series of mononuclear, octahedral first-row transition metal ion complexes mer-[M(II)L0(2)](PF6)2 containing the tridentate neutral ligand 2,6-bis[1-(4-methoxyphenylimino)ethyl]pyridine (L0) and a Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), or Zn(II) ion have been synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography. Cyclic voltammetry and controlled potential coulometry show that each dication (except those of Cu(II) and Zn(II)) can be reversibly one-electron-oxidized, yielding the respective trications [M(III)L0(2)]3+, and in addition, they can be reversibly reduced to the corresponding monocations [ML2]+ and the neutral species [ML2]0 by two successive one-electron processes. [MnL2]PF6 and [CoL2]PF6 have been isolated and characterized by X-ray crystallography; their electronic structures are described as [Mn(III)L1(2)]PF6 and [Co(I)L0(2)]PF6 where (L1)1- represents the one-electron-reduced radical form of L0. The electronic structures of the tri-, di-, and monocations and of the neutral species have been elucidated in detail by a combination of spectroscopies: UV-vis, NMR, X-band EPR, Mossbauer, temperature-dependent magnetochemistry. It is shown that pyridine-2,6-diimine ligands are noninnocent ligands that can be coordinated to transition metal ions as neutral L0 or, alternatively, as monoanionic radical (L1)1-. All trications are of the type [M(III)L0(2)]3+, and the dications are [M(II)L0(2)]2+. The monocations are described as [Mn(III)L1(2)]+ (S = 0), [Fe(II)L0L1]+ (S = 1/2), [Co(I)L0(2)]+ (S = 1), [Ni(I)L0(2)]+ (S = 1/2), [Cu(I)L0(2)]+ (S = 0), [Zn(II)L1L0]+ (S = 1/2) where the Mn(II) and Fe(II) ions are low-spin-configurated. The neutral species are described as [Mn(II)L1(2)]0, [Fe(II)L1(2)]0, [Co(I)L0L1]0, [Ni(I)L0L1]0, and [Zn(II)L1(2)]0; their electronic ground states have not been determined.  相似文献

Hexakis(2-pyridyloxy)cyclotriphosphazene (L) is an efficient multisite coordination ligand which binds with transition metal ions to produce dinuclear (homo- and heterometallic) complexes [L(CuCl)(CoCl3)], [L(CuCl)(ZnCl3)], [L(CoCl)(ZnCl3)], and [L(ZnCl2)2]. In these dinuclear derivatives the cyclophosphazene ligand utilizes from five to six nitrogen coordination sites out of the maximum of nine available sites. Further, the spacer oxygen that separates the pyridyl moiety from the cyclophosphazene ring ensures minimum steric strain to the cyclophosphazene ring upon coordination. This is reflected in the near planarity of the cyclophosphazene ring in all the dinuclear derivatives. In the dinuclear heterobimetallic derivatives one of the metal ions [Cu(II) or Co(II)] is hexacoordinate and is bound by the cyclophosphazene in a eta5-gem-N5 mode. The other metal ion in these heterobimetallic derivatives [Co(II) or Zn(II)] is tetracoordinate and is bound in an eta(1)-N(1) fashion. In the homobimetallic derivative, [L(ZnCl2)2], one of the zinc ions is five-coordinate (eta3-nongem-N3), while the other zinc ion is tetracoordinate(eta2-gem-N2). The reaction of L with CuCl2 followed by Co(NO3)2.6H2O yields a trinuclear heterobimetallic complex [{(L'CuCl)2Co(NO3)}Cl] [L' = N3P3(OC5H4N)5(O)]. In the formation of this compound an unusual P-O bond cleavage involving one of the phosphorus-pyridyloxy bonds is observed. The molecular structure of [{(L'CuCl)2Co(NO3)}Cl] [L' = N3P3(OC5H4N)5(O)] reveals that each of the two the P-O-cleaved L' ligands is involved in binding to Cu(II) to generate the motif L'CuCl. Two such units are bridged by a Co(II) ion. The coordination environment around the bridging Co(II) ion contains four oxygen (two P-O units, one chelating nitrate) and two nitrogen atoms (pyridyloxy nitrogens).  相似文献

Three hexadentate, asymmetric pendent arm macrocycles containing a 1,4,7-triazacyclononane-1,4-diacetate backbone and a third, N-bound phenolate or thiophenolate arm have been synthesized. In [L(1)](3)(-) the third arm is 3,5-di-tert-butyl-2-hydroxybenzyl, in [L(2)](3)(-) it is 2-mercaptobenzyl, and in [L(3)](3)(-) it is 3,5-di-tert-butyl-2-mercaptobenzyl. With trivalent metal ions these ligands form very stable neutral mononuclear complexes [M(III)L(1)] (M = Ga, Fe, Co), [M(III)L(2)] (M = Ga, Fe, Co), and [M(III)L(3)] (M = Ga, Co) where the gallium and cobalt complexes possess an S = 0 and the iron complexes an S = (5)/(2) ground state. Complexes [CoL(1)].CH(3)OH.1.5H(2)O, [CoL(3)].1.17H(2)O, [FeL(1)].H(2)O, and [FeL(2)] have been characterized by X-ray crystallography. Cyclic voltammetry shows that all three [M(III)L(1)] complexes undergo a reversible, ligand-based, one-electron oxidation generating the monocations [M(III)L(1)(*)](+) which contain a coordinated phenoxyl radical as was unambiguously established by their electronic absorption, EPR, and M?ssbauer spectra. In contrast, [M(III)L(2)] complexes in CH(3)CN solution undergo an irreversible one-electron oxidation where the putative thiyl radical monocationic intermediates dimerize with S-S bond formation yielding dinuclear disulfide species [M(III)L(2)-L(2)M(III)](2+). [GaL(3)] behaves similarly despite the steric bulk of two tertiary butyl groups at the 3,5-positions of the thiophenolate, but [Co(III)L(3)] in CH(2)Cl(2) at -20 to -61 degrees C displays a reversible one-electron oxidation yielding a relatively stable monocation [Co(III)L(3)(*)](+). Its electronic spectrum displays intense transitions in the visible at 509 nm (epsilon = 2.6 x 10(3) M(-)(1) cm(-)(1)) and 670sh, 784 (1.03 x 10(3)) typical of a phenylthiyl radical. The EPR spectrum of this species at 90 K proves the thiyl radical to be coordinated to a diamagnetic cobalt(III) ion (g(iso) = 2.0226; A(iso)((59)Co) = 10.7 G).  相似文献
