Electrochemical behavior of cerium hexacyanoferrate (CeHCF) incorporated on multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) modified GC electrode is investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electrochemical techniques. The CeHCF/MWNT/GC electrode showed potent electrocatalytic activity toward the electrochemical oxidation of tryptophan in phosphate buffer solution (pH 7.0) with a diminution of the overpotential of 240 mV. The anodic peak currents increased linearly with the concentration of tryptophan in the range of 2.0 × 10−7 to 1.0 × 10−4 M with a detection limit of 2.0 × 10−8 M (at a S/N = 3). And the determination of tryptophan in pharmaceutical samples was satisfactory.  相似文献

The simultaneous determination of catecholamines - epinephrine and norepinephrine by square wave voltammetry (SWV) at physiological pH 7.2 is reported using multi-walled carbon nanotubes modified edge plane pyrolytic graphite electrode (MWNT/EPPGE). A broad bump at ∼250 mV is appeared for the oxidation of epinephrine (EP) and norepinephrine (NE) at bare EPPGE whereas at MWNT/EPPGE two well-separated peaks at ∼150 and ∼215 mV are appeared for the oxidation of EP and NE, respectively. The oxidation peak current of both the neurotransmitters also increased significantly along with the negative shift of peak potentials using MWNT/EPPGE. The oxidation of both compounds occurred in a pH dependent, 2e and 2H+ process and the electrode reaction followed diffusion controlled pathway. Linear calibration curves were obtained for epinephrine and norepinephrine in the range 0.5-100 nM with limits of detection 0.15 × 10−9 and 0.90 × 10−10 M, respectively. The developed protocol is implemented for the simultaneous determination of epinephrine and norepinephrine in blood plasma and urine samples of smokers as well as in athletes.  相似文献

A nanogold modified indium tin oxide (ITO) electrode was used for the simultaneous determination of guanosine and GTP at pH 7.2. The electrode exhibited an effective catalytic response towards their oxidation and lowered the oxidation potential of guanosine by ∼120 mV and GTP by ∼183 mV. Linear concentration curves were obtained for guanosine with a detection limit of 9.8 × 10−8 M and 5.5 × 10−8 M for GTP. The concentration of guanosine and GTP were also estimated in the human blood plasma samples using gold nanoparticles modified ITO electrode with good reproducibility.  相似文献

A sensitive, rapid and reliable electrochemical method based on voltammetry at single wall carbon nanotube (SWNT) modified edge plane pyrolytic graphite electrode (EPPGE) is proposed for the simultaneous determination of prednisolone and prednisone in human body fluids and pharmaceutical preparations. The electrochemical response of both the drugs was evaluated by osteryoung square wave voltammetry (OSWV) in phosphate buffer medium of pH 7.2. The modified electrode exhibited good electrocatalytic properties towards prednisone and prednisolone reduction with a peak potential of ∼−1230 and ∼−1332 mV respectively. The concentration versus peak current plots were linear for both the analytes in the range 0.01-100 μM and the detection limit (3σ/slope) observed for prednisone and prednisolone were 0.45 × 10−8, 0.90 × 10−8 M, respectively. The results of the quantitative estimation of prednisone and prednisolone in biological fluids were also compared with HPLC and the results were in good agreement.  相似文献

The electrochemical behavior of nandrolone decanoate (ND) at gold nanoparticles modified indium tin oxide (ITO) electrode was investigated. Oxidation of ND has been carried out in phosphate containing supporting electrolyte in the pH range 2.1-9.2 and a well-defined oxidation peak was noticed. The peak potential (Ep) of the oxidation peak decreases linearly with increasing pH. Linear calibration curve is obtained over the nandrolone decanoate concentration range of 50 nM to 1.5 μM at pH 7.2 with a detection limit of 1.36 × 10−7 M. The proposed method is effectively applied to detect the concentration of ND in human blood serum and urine samples after 24 and 72 h of intramuscular injection. The method is rapid and does not require any pre-treatment.  相似文献

C60-modified glassy carbon electrode has been found to exhibit excellent electrocatalytic activity towards atenolol oxidation for its voltammetric determination at physiological pH. Lowering of overpotential associated with atenolol oxidation indicates electrocatalytic nature of electrode. Determination of atenolol was carried out at pH 7.2 at modified electrode and a well-defined oxidation peak has been observed ∼1040 mV versus Ag/AgCl electrode for atenolol oxidation. Calibration plot having good co-linearity with a correlation coefficient 0.997 was obtained in the concentration range of 0.25-1.5 mM atenolol and the sensitivity of the method has been found to be 8.58 μA mM−1. The detection limit is found to be 0.16 mM. The method developed is applicable for atenolol determination in pharmaceutical preparations and urine samples. The modified electrode showed a good surface coverage (∼85%) with C60.  相似文献

A new rapid, convenient and sensitive electrochemical method based on a gold nanoparticles modified ITO (Au/ITO) electrode is described for the detection of dopamine and serotonin in the presence of a high concentration of ascorbic acid. The electrocatalytic response was evaluated by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and the modified electrode exhibited good electrocatalytic properties towards dopamine and serotonin oxidation with a peak potential of 70 mV and 240 mV lower than that at the bare ITO electrode, respectively. The selective sensing of dopamine is further improved by applying square wave voltammetry (SWV) which leads to the lowering of its detection limit. A similar effect on the detection limit of serotonin was observed on using SWV. Linear calibration curves are obtained in the range 1.0 × 10−9-5.0 × 10−4 M and 1.0 × 10−8-2.5 × 10−4 M with a detection limit of 0.5 nM and 3.0 nM for dopamine and serotonin, respectively. The Au/ITO electrode efficiently determines both the biomolecules simultaneously, even in the presence of a large excess of ascorbic acid. The adequacy of the developed method was evaluated by applying it to the determination of the content of dopamine in dopamine hydrochloride injections. The proposed procedure was also successfully applied to simultaneously detect dopamine and serotonin in human serum and urine.  相似文献

A new simple chronoamperometry methodology was developed for the ultrasensitive determination of lead ions using a PEDOT:PSS coated graphite carbon electrode. The polymer was directly coated on a graphite carbon electrode and characterized using simple cycle voltammetric measurements. The presence of lead ions induced a cathodic peak starting at −550 ± 10 mV vs. Ag/AgCl, and an anodic peak starting at −360 ± 10 mV vs. Ag/AgCl. Electroaccumulation of lead ions onto the PEDOT:PSS modified electrode was performed at −650 mV vs. Ag/AgCl for 30 s in a pH 2.2 hydrochloric acid solution. Chronoamperometry measurements were carried out at −350 mV vs. Ag/AgCl allowing the oxidation of accumulated lead. Using this method, lead ions were detected for concentrations ranging between 2.0 nmol L−1 and 0.1 μmol L−1 (R2 = 0.999). The detection limit was calculated to be 0.19 nmol L−1 and the quantification limit of 0.63 nmol L−1. The method was shown to be highly precise and sensitive, negligible interference was detected from other metal ions. The proposed method was successfully applied for the detection of lead ions in vegetables.  相似文献

In this study, a novel material for the electrochemical determination of 17β-estradiol using an electrode based on reduced graphene oxide and a metal complex porphyrin has been applied to environmental monitoring. The electrochemical profile of the proposed electrode was analyzed by differential pulse voltammetry, which showed a shift of the oxidation peak potential of 17β-estradiol to 150 mV in a less positive direction compared to the bare reduced graphene oxide electrode. DPV experiments were performed in PBS at pH 7.0 to determine 17β-estradiol without any previous step of extraction, cleanup, or derivatization, in the range of 0.1–1.0 μmol L−1 with a detection limit archived at 5.3 nmol L−1 (1.4 μg L−1). The proposed sensor was successfully applied in the determination of 17β-estradiol in a river water sample without any purification step and was successfully analyzed under the standard addition method. All the obtained results were in agreement with those from the HPLC procedure.  相似文献

This paper demonstrates the application of composite multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNT) polyvinylchloride (MWNT-PVC) based on 1,5-diphenylcarbazide as chromium ionophore in potentiometric measurement. The sensor shows a good Nernstian slope of 19.52 ± 0.40 mV/decade in a wide linear range concentration of 6.3 × 10−8 to 1.0 × 10−2 M for Cr(NO3)3. The detection limit of this electrode was found to be 3.2 × 10−8 M of Cr(NO3)3 and is applicable in a pH range of 3.0-6.8. It has a short response time of about 10 s. This chromium electrode has a good selectivity over 16 various metal ions. The practical analytical utility of this electrode was demonstrated by measurement of Cr(III) in drinking water and mineral water samples without any serious preliminary pre-treatment and chromium in multivitamin.  相似文献

A new nanomaterial was prepared by grafting a layer of sulfonated polyaniline network (SPAN-NW) on to the surface of multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNT) and effectively utilized for immobilization of an enzyme and for the fabrication of a biosensor. SPAN-NW was formed on the surface of MWNT by polymerizing a mixture of diphenyl amine 4-sulfonic acid (DPASA), 4-vinyl aniline (VA) and 2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propane sulfonic acid (APASA) in the presence of amine functionalized MWNT (MWNT-NH2). The MWNT-g-SPAN-NW was immobilized with glucose oxidase (GOx) to fabricate the SPAN-NW/GOx biosensor. MWNT-g-SPAN-NW/GOx electrode showed direct electron transfer (DET) for GOx with a fast heterogeneous electron transfer rate constant (ks) of 4.11 s− 1. The amperometric current response of MWNT-g-SPAN-NW/GOx biosensor shows linearity up to 9 mM of glucose, with a correlation coefficient of 0.99 and a detection limit of 0.11 μM (S/N = 3). At a low applied potential of − 0.1 V, MWNT-g-SPAN-NW/GOx electrode possesses high sensitivity (4.34 μA mM− 1) and reproducibility towards glucose.  相似文献

A sensitive electrochemical detection of DNA hybridization using a paste electrode assembled by multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWNT) and immobilizing DNA probe within electropolymerized polypyrrole (ppy) was developed. The detection approach relied on entrapping of DNA probe within electropolymerized ppy film on the MWNT paste electrode and monitoring the current change generated from an electroactive intercalator of ethidium bromide (EB) after DNA hybridization. As a consequence of DNA hybridization, significant changes in the current of EB intercalated with double-stranded DNA (ds-DNA) on the MWNT paste electrode were observed. Based on the response of EB, only the complementary DNA sequence gave an obvious current signal compared with the five-point mismatched and non-complementary sequences. The oxidation peak current was linearly related to the logarithm of the concentration of the complementary DNA sequence from 1.0 × 10−10 to 1.0 × 10−8 M with a detection limit of 8.5 × 10−11 M. This work demonstrates that the incorporation of MWNT paste electrode with electropolymerization is a promising strategy of functional interfaces for the immobilization of biological recognition elements.  相似文献

An adsorptive differential pulse stripping method for the simultaneous determination of morphine and noscapine is proposed. The procedure involves an adsorptive accumulation of morphine and noscapine on a hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE), followed by oxidation of adsorbed morphine and noscapine by voltammetric scan using differential pulse modulation. The optimum experimental conditions are: pH 10.0, accumulation potential of −100 mV versus Ag/AgCl, accumulation time of 150 s, scan rate of 40 mV s−1 and pulse height of 100 mV. Morphine and noscapine peak currents were observed in same potential region at about +0.25 V. The simultaneous determination of morphine and noscapine by using voltammetry is a difficult problem in analytical chemistry, due to voltammogram interferences. The resolution of mixture of morphine and noscapine by the application of least-squares support vector machines (LS-SVM) was performed. The linear dynamic ranges were 0.01-3.10 and 0.015-2.75 μg mL−1 and detection limits were 3 and 7 ng mL−1 for morphine and noscapine, respectively. The capability of the method for the analysis of real samples was evaluated by the determination of morphine and noscapine in addict's human plasma with satisfactory results.  相似文献

Amperometric detection of nicotine (NIC) was carried out on a titanium dioxide (TiO2)/poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT)-modified electrode by a molecular imprinting technique. In order to improve the conductivity of the substrate, PEDOT was coated onto the sintered electrode by in situ electrochemical polymerization of the monomer. The sensing potential of the NIC-imprinted TiO2 electrode (ITO/TiO2[NIC]/PEDOT) in a phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) solution (pH 7.4) containing 0.1 M KCl was determined to be 0.88 V (vs. Ag/AgCl/saturated KCl). The linear detection range for NIC oxidation on the so-called ITO/TiO2[NIC]/PEDOT electrode was 0-5 mM, with a sensitivity and limit of detection of 31.35 μA mM−1 cm−2 and 4.9 μM, respectively. When comparing with the performance of the non-imprinted one, the sensitivity ratio was about 1.24. The sensitivity enhancement was attributed to the increase in the electroactive area of the imprinted electrode. The at-rest stability of the ITO/TiO2[NIC]/PEDOT electrode was tested over a period of 3 days. The current response remained about 85% of its initial value at the end of 2 days. The ITO/TiO2[NIC]/PEDOT electrode showed reasonably good selectivity in distinguishing NIC from its major interferent, (−)-cotinine (COT). Moreover, scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) was employed to elucidate the surface morphology of the imprinted and non-imprinted electrodes using Fe(CN)63−/Fe(CN)64− as a redox probe on a platinum tip. The imprinted electrode was further characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).  相似文献

A multi-wall carbon nanotube (MWNT) modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was described for the simultaneous determination of trace levels of cadmium and lead by anodic stripping voltammetry (ASV). In pH 4.5 NaAc-HAc buffer containing 0.02 mol/l KI, Cd2+ and Pb2+ first adsorb onto the surface of a MWNT film coated GCE and then reduce at −1.20 V. During the positive potential sweep, reduced cadmium and lead were oxidized, and two well-defined stripping peaks appeared at −0.88 and −0.62 V. Compared with a bare GCE, a MWNT film coated GCE greatly improves the sensitivity of determining cadmium and lead. Low concentration of I significantly enhances the stripping peak currents since it induces Cd2+ and Pb2+ to adsorb at the electrode surface. The striping peak currents change linearly with the concentration of Cd2+ from 2.5×10−8 to 1×10−5 mol/l and with that of Pb2+ from 2×10−8 to 1×10−5 mol/l. The lowest detectable concentrations of Cd2+ and Pb2+ are estimated to be 6×10−9 and 4×10−9 mol/l, respectively. The high sensitivity, selectivity, and stability of this MWNT film coated electrode demonstrated its practical application for a simple, rapid and economical determination of trace levels of Cd2+ and Pb2+ in water samples.  相似文献

A fullerene-C60-modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) is used for the simultaneous determination of adenosine and guanosine by differential pulse voltammetry. Compared to a bare glassy carbon electrode, the modified electrode exhibits an apparent shift of the oxidation potentials in the cathodic direction and a marked enhancement in the voltammetric peak current response for both the biomolecules. Linear calibration curves are obtained over the concentration range 0.5 μM-1.0 mM in 0.1 M phosphate buffer solution at pH 7.2 with a detection limit of 3.02 × 10−7 M and 1.45 × 10−7 M for individual determination of adenosine and guanosine, respectively. The interference studies showed that the fullerene-C60-modified glassy carbon electrode exhibited excellent selectivity in the presence of hypoxanthine, xanthine, uric acid and ascorbic acid. The proposed procedure was successfully applied to detect adenosine and guanosine in human blood plasma and urine, without any preliminary pre-treatment.  相似文献

Electrodeposition of Pt-Pb nanoparticles (PtPbNPs) to multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) resulted in a stable PtPbNP/MWCNT nanocomposite with high electrocatalytic activity to glucose oxidation in either neutral or alkaline medium. More importantly, the nanocomposite electrode with a slight modification exhibited high sensitivity, high selectivity, and low detection limit in amperometric glucose sensing at physiological neutral pH (poised at a negative potential). At +0.30 V in neutral solution, the nanocomposite electrode exhibited linearity up to 11 mM of glucose with a sensitivity of 17.8 μA cm−2 mM−1 and a detection limit of 1.8 μM (S/N = 3). Electroactive ascorbic acid (0.1 mM), uric acid (0.1 mM) and fructose (0.3 mM) invoked only 23%, 14% and 9%, respectively, of the current response obtained for 3 mM glucose. At −0.15 V in neutral solution, the electrode responded linearly to glucose up to 5 mM with a detection limit of 0.16 mM (S/N = 3) and detection sensitivity of ∼18 μA cm−2 mM−1. At this negative potential, ascorbic acid, uric acid, and fructose were not electroactive, therefore, not interfering with glucose sensing. Modification of the nanocomposite electrode with Nafion coating followed by electrodeposition of a second layer of PtPbNPs on the Nafion coated PtPbNP/MWCNT nanocomposite produced a glucose sensor (poised at −0.15 V) with a lower detection limit (7.0 μM at S/N = 3) and comparable sensitivity, selectivity and linearity compared to the PtPbNP/MWCNT nanocomposite. The Nafion coating lowered the detection limit by reducing the background noise, while the second layer of PtPbNPs restored the sensitivity to the level before Nafion coating.  相似文献

A new method is presented for the determination of bismuth and copper based on cathodic adsorptive stripping of complexes of Cu(II) and Bi(III) with 2′,3,4′,5,7-pentahydroxyflavone (morin) at a hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE). The effect of various parameters such as pH, concentration of morin, accumulation potential and accumulation time on the selectivity and sensitivity were studied. The optimum conditions for determination of copper include nitric acid concentration 0.1 M, morin concentration 0.6 μM and accumulation potential of −300 mV. Those conditions for the determination of bismuth include 0.15 M acid concentration, 0.6 μM morin and accumulation potential of −300 mV. Under these optimum conditions and for an accumulation time of 60 s, the measured peak current at −20 to 25 mV is proportional to the concentration of copper and bismuth over the range of 0.2-130 and 5-50 ng ml−1, respectively. At high concentration of morin (35 μM morin) and accumulation potential of −300 mV (versus Ag/AgCl reference electrode) the peak current is proportional only to the concentration of copper and bismuth has no contribution to the current. At low concentration of morin (0.5 μM morin) and accumulation potential of 100 mV (versus Ag/AgCl reference electrode) the peak current is proportional only to the concentration of bismuth. The method was applied to the determination of copper and bismuth in some real and synthetic samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

The development of a highly sensitive amperometric sensor for nitrite using a glassy carbon electrode modified with alternated layers of iron(III) tetra-(N-methyl-4-pyridyl)-porphyrin (FeT4MPyP) and cobalt(II) tetrasulfonated phthalocyanine (CoTSPc) is described. The modified electrode showed an excellent catalytic activity and stability for the nitrite oxidation decreasing the peak potentials about 200 mV toward less positive values and presenting much higher peak currents than those obtained on the bare GC electrode. A linear response range of 0.2-8.6 μmol l−1, with a sensitivity of 0.37 μA l μmol−1 and detection limit of 0.04 μmol l−1 were obtained with this sensor. The repeatability of the proposed sensor, evaluated in term of relative standard deviation, was verified to be 1.4% for 10 measurements of 0.2 μmol l−1 nitrite solution. Interference caused by common ions has been investigated in simulated mixtures containing high concentration level of interfering ions and the sensor was found to be tolerant against these ions. The developed sensor was applied for the nitrite determination in water samples and the results were in agreement with those obtained by a comparative method described in the literature. The average recovery for these samples was 100.1 (±0.7)%.  相似文献

In this work arrays of palladium nanoparticles were synthesized on carbon ionic liquid electrode (CILE) (Pd/CILE), and the electrocatalytic oxidation of hydrazine was investigated using this electrode. Electrochemical oxidation of hydrazine in phosphate buffer (pH 7) was performed using cyclic voltammetry and square wave voltammetric techniques (SWV). Using the proposed electrode, a highly reproducible and well-defined peak was obtained for hydrazine at a very low potential of −0.02 V versus Ag/AgCl. A linear dynamic range of 5-800 μM with an experimental detection limit of 0.82 μM was obtained. These results show that the proposed electrode displays better electrocatalytic activity compared to the previously reported palladium modified electrodes towards oxidation of hydrazine.  相似文献
