Syntheses,Structures and Catalytic Properties of Two Mn(Ⅱ) and Cd(Ⅱ) Coordination Polymers through in Situ Ligand Reaction

Two coordination polymers, namely [Mn(μ-Hcpia)(bipy)(H_2O)_2]_n(1) and [Cd_3(μ_3-Hcpia)_2(μ-Hbiim)_2(μ-H_2biim)(H_2O)_2]_n(2), have been constructed hydrothermally using H_2cbia(H_2cbia = 5-(4'-cyanobenzoxy)isophthalic acid), bipy(bipy = 4,4'-bipyridine), H_2biim(H_2biim = 2,2'-biimidazole), and manganese or cadmium chlorides at 160℃. Interestingly, the H_3cpia(H_3cpia = 5-(4'-carboxylphenoxy)isophthalic acid) ligand was generated by in situ hydrolysis of cyano group in H_2cbia. The products were isolated as stable crystalline solids and were characterized by IR spectra, elemental analyses, thermogravimetric analyses(TGA), and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Both compounds crystallize in the triclinic system, space group P1. Compound 1 discloses a 1D linear chain of the 2C1 topological type. Adjacent chains are assembled into a 2D supramolecular sheet through O–H···O/N hydrogen bonds. Compound 2 features a 3D framework with a 3,4,4 T25 topology. The luminescent and catalytic properties of two compounds were investigated. Compound 1 exhibits a superior catalytic activity in the cyanosilylation at room temperature.     

Syntheses,Structures, and Properties of Two Cobalt(Ⅱ) Coordination Complexes Based on(Fluorene-9,9-diyl) dipropanoic Acid and 1,3-Bis(imidazol-1-yl)butane Ligands

Two new cobalt(II) coordination complexes, namely [Co(HL)_2(biim)(H_2O)_2]_n·n H_2O(1) and [Co(Et L)_2(biim)]_n·3 n(H_2O)·2 n(Et HL)(2)(H_2L =(fluorene-9,9-diyl)dipropanoic acid, biim = 1,3-bis(imidazol-1-yl)butane), have been synthesized using the same starting reactants but different solvent medium. The two complexes exhibit distinctly different structures. Compound 1 exhibits a one-dimensional linear chain structure. However, complex 2 reveals a one-dimensional zigzag chain structure. Thermogravimetric analyses(TGA) and luminescent properties of these two complexes have been discussed.     

Syntheses,Crystal Structures,and Magnetic Properties of the Cobalt(Ⅱ) and Nickel(Ⅱ) Coordination Polymers Constructed from 5-Halonicotinate and 2,2ˊ-Biimidazole

Two coordination polymers, namely [Co(5-Clnic)2(H2biim)]n 1 and {[Ni(5-Clnic)(Hbiim)]·H2O}n 2(5-Clnic H = 5-halonicotinic acid, H2 biim = 2,2ˊ-biimidazole), were assembled. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies show that compound 1 possesses a 1D chain coordination network, which is further extended into a 3D supramolecular architecture via N–H···O hydrogen bonds and π-π packing interactions. Compound 2 features a 1D chain structure based on the hexanuclear macrocycles. The adjacent 1D chains are held together into a 3D supramolecular framework via N–H···O and O–H···O hydrogen bonding interactions. Thermal stability and magnetic properties of both compounds were studied and discussed.     

Syntheses,Structures and Properties of Three Novel La(Ⅲ)/Co(Ⅱ) Coordination Polymers Based on 5-(3-(Tetrazo-5-yl)phenyl)isophthalic Acid

Three novel complexes, namely {[La(tapipa)(4,4′-bibp)·(H_2O)_2]·H_2O}n(1), {[La-(tapipa)(H_2O)_4(OH)]·3 H_2O}n(2), [Co(tapipa)(1,4-bbib)]n(3)(tapipa = 5-(3-(tetrazo-5-yl)phenyl)isophthalic acid, 4,4′-bibp = 4,4′-bis(imidazolyl)biphenyl, and 1,4-bbib = 1,4-bis(benzimidazo-1-ly)benzene) have been synthesized under solvothermal conditions and characterized by PXRD, IR,TGA, and so on. Complex 1 presents a 2 D layer structure, which is finally packed into a 3 D supramolecular structure by means of hydrogen bonds; complexes 2 and 3 exhibit 1 D chains and 2 D wavy-type structures, respectively, which are expanded into 3 D supramolecular structures through hydrogen bonds and π-π interactions. Furthermore, the luminescence properties of complex 1 and the variable-temperature magnetic susceptibilities of 3 were investigated. Complex 1 has highly selective sensing for Fe~(3+) and Cr_2O_7~(2-) ions.     

Two Coordination Polymers Constructed by Cd(Ⅱ) and Zn(Ⅱ) with in situ Generated 5-(3-Pyridyl)tetrazolate Ligand:Syntheses,Crystal Structures and Luminescence Properties

Hydrothermal reactions of 3-cyanopyridine and Na N3 with Zn Cl_2 or Cd Cl_2·5/2H_2 O in the presence of 1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid(H2bdc) yielded two new coordination polymers,{[Zn(3-ptz)(bdc)_(0.5)(H_2O)_2]n·2H_2O}_n(1) and [Cd_2(3-ptz)_2Cl_2]_n(2),based on in situ synthesized 5-(3-pyridyl)tetrazolate(3-ptz-) organic ligand.They have been structurally characterized by elemental analysis(EA),infrared spectroscopy(IR) and single-crystal/powder X-ray diffraction(PXRD).In 1,two Zn(Ⅱ) ions are linked together through two μ_2-(3-ptz-) ligands to form a dimeric unit of [Zn(μ_2-3-ptz)(H_2O)_2]_2~(2+),which is further connected with other equivalent units by μ_2-bdc~(2-)spacers,resulting in an infinite 1D polymeric chain of [Zn_2(3-ptz)_2(H_2O)_2(bdc)]_n,and then strong hydrogen bonding interactions extend these 1D chains into a 3D supramolecular structure.In 2,the Cd(Ⅱ) ions are connected through μ_4-(3-ptz-) ligands and Cl-anions,leading to infinite 2D layers of [Cd_2(3-ptz)Cl_2]_n~(n+),which are further linked by another μ_4-(3-ptz-) pillared ligand to form a 3D layered-pillared framework architecture of [Cd)2(3-ptz))2Cl)2])n.Furthermore,thermal stability of these compounds was measured by thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) and their photoluminescent properties were also investigated in the solid state at room temperature.     

Syntheses,Crystal Structures,and Magnetic Properties of Mn(Ⅱ) and Co(Ⅱ) Coordination Polymers Constructed from Pyridine-tricarboxylate Ligand

Two coordination polymers, namely {[Mn(HL_1)(phen)]·4H_2O}_n(1) and [Co_2(HL_2)_2(H_2O)_2]_n(2) have been constructed hydrothermally using H_3L_1 and H_3L_2(H_3L_1 = 2-(5-carboxypyridin-2-yl)terephthalic acid, H_3L_2 = 2-(4-carboxypyridin-3-yl)terephthalic acid), phen, MnCl_2×4H_2O and CoCl_2×6H_2O. The products were isolated as stable crystalline solids and were characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental, thermogravimetric(TGA), powder(PXRD) and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Compound 1 features a 3D framework structure, which was topologically classified as a trinodal 4,6,6-connected net with the unique topology defined by the point symbol of(3~(10).5.6~4)4(3~(10).6.7~4)2(5.6~2.8~2.9). Compound 2 possesses a 2D metal-organic layer, which was topologically classified as a binodal 4,4-connected layer defined by the point symbol of(4~3.6~2.8). The layers are further extended into a 3D supramolecular framework via hydrogen bonds. The magnetic properties for both compounds were also investigated, indicating antiferromagnetic interactions between the adjacent metal ions.

DNA-binding Studies of Two Silver(I)-sulfonate Complexes Constructed by In Situ Reaction

Two silver(I)-sulfonate complexes,[Ag(NO_3)(4,4'-bipy)][Ag(HL)(4,4'-bipy)]·2H_2O(1) and[Ag(H_2O)(4,4'-bipy)][AgL(4,4'-bipy)]·2H_2O(2),have been synthesized by in situ reaction(H_2L = 2-formylbenzenesulfonic acid,4,4-bipy = 4,4-bipyridine).1 displays two parallel 1D chains expending to a 3D supramolecule by n—n interactions and O-H…O hydrogen bonds,in which the[Ag(NO_3)]or[Ag(HL)]units are joined by bridging 4,4'-bipy molecules,respectively.The interactions between the complexes and DNA were studied by means of fluorescence spectra and surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS) spectra.The special configuration and intercalation effects between 1 and DNA are stronger than that between 2 and DNA.     

Three Co(Ⅱ) Coordination Polymers Incorporated with a Bent Connector: Crystal Structures and Magnetic Properties

Based on the bent ligand 1 H-3-(3-pyridyl)-5-(4-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazole(3,4?-Hbpt) with Co(Ⅱ) ions as well as a series of polycarboxylate co-ligands, three new coordination polymers were yielded, namely, {[Co(op)(3,4?-Hbpt)(H_2O)_3]?2 H_2O}n(1), [Co(cyc)(3,4′-Hbpt)(H_2O)]n(2) and [Co(pro)(3,4′-Hbpt)(H_2O)]n(3)(here, op = o-phthalic anion, cyc = 1,1-cyclobutanedicarboxylic anion, pro = propanedioic anion). In cooperation with the auxiliary polycarboxylate co-ligands, a variety of Co(Ⅱ) coordination networks, such as 1-D chain 1 and 2-D layer 2 and 3 have been assembled. The magnetic behaviors of compounds 1～3 were studied. All of them indicated the existence of interesting spin-canting behavior.     

Temperature-dependent Syntheses of Two Manganese(Ⅱ) Coordination Compounds Based on an Ether-bridged Tetracarbolylic Acid

0D dinuclear manganese(Ⅱ) coordination compound and 1 D chain manganese(Ⅱ) coordination polymer, namely [Mn_2(μ-L)(phen)4]·4 H_2 O(1) and {[Mn_2(μ5-L)(phen)_2]·H_2O}n(2), have been constructed hydrothermally using H4 L(H4 L = 2,3,3',4'-diphenyl ether tetracarboxylic acid), phen(phen = 1,10-phenanthroline), and manganese chloride at 120 and 160℃, respectively. The products were isolated as stable crystalline solids and were characterized by IR spectra, elemental analyses, thermogravimetric analyses(TGA), and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses revealed that two compounds crystallize in the triclinic or monoclinic system, space group P1 or P2_1/c. Compound 1 discloses a discrete dimeric structure, which is assembled into a 3 D supramolecular framework through O–H···O hydrogen bond. Compound 2 has a chain structure. Structural differences between compounds 1 and 2 are attributed to the different reaction temperature. Magnetic studies for compound 2 demonstrate an antiferromagnetic coupling between the adjacent Mn(Ⅱ) centers.     

Two Tetranuclear Zinc(Ⅱ) Coordination Polymers Based on 3,5-Bis(2-carboxylphenoxy)benzoic Acid with Highly Selective Sensing of Nitrobenzene

Two novel zinc(Ⅱ) coordination polymers, [Zn_2(BCB)(CH_3OH)(μ_3-OH)]n(1) and {[Zn_2(BCB)(μ_3-OH)(H_2O)_2]·CH_3OH}n (2), have been constructed from 3,5-bis(2-carboxylphenoxy)benzoic acid(H_3BCB) and characterized by elemental analysis(EA), IR, powder X-ray diffraction(PXRD), and thermogravimetric(TG) analyses. Structural analysis reveals that complexes 1 and 2 are both 1D polymeric chains with unprecedented tetranuclear {Zn_4(COO)_4(μ_3-OH)_2} clusters, which were further expanded into a 2D structure. Fluorescence measurements show that 1 and 2 have highly selective and sensitive detection of nitrobenzene.     

Two Interpenetrated and Polycatenated Zn(Ⅱ) Coordination Polymers: Syntheses,Structures and Luminescent Properties

Two fascinating Zn(II)entangled coordination polymers,[Zn(eoba)(bbi)]_n·nH_2O(1)and[Zn(boba)(bbi)_(1/2)]_n(2),(bbi=1,1?-(1,4-butanediyl)-bis(imidazole),H_2eoba=4,4?-(ethane-1,2-diyldioxy)-dibenzoic acid,H_2boba=4,4?-(butane-1,4-diyldioxy)-dibenzoic acid),were obtained by hydrothermal technology and characterized by elemental analysis,infrared spectrum,thermogravimetric analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction.1 is a rare 2D→3D example with a 3-fold parallel interpenetration and polycatenaned architecture.2 features a scarce2D→2D example with a 3-fold parallel interpenetrating network which possesses polyrotaxane and polycatenane characters.Moreover,the luminescent properties of 1 and 2 have been discussed.     

Two Zn~Ⅱ Coordination Polymers with 2,2?-Oxybis(benzoic acid) and Different N,N?-Donor ligands

Two new Zn~Ⅱ coordination polymers [Zn(oba)(4,4?-bipy)]n(1) and [Zn(oba)-(bpe)_(1/2)(H_2O)]_n(2)(H_2oba = 2,2?-oxybis(benzoic acid), 4,4?-bipy = 4,4?-bipyridine, bpe = 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethylene) were synthesized by hydrothermal reactions and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, IR spectroscopy and elemental analysis. Complex 1 shows a 3D metal-organic framework with a uninodal 4-connected 65.8 dmp network. Complex 2 features 1D ladder-shaped chains, which are further connected into a 2D stair-step network through intermolecular O–H···O hydrogen bonds.

采用水热方法,选用醚氧桥联羧酸配体2,3',4,4'-二苯醚四羧酸(H_4deta)与2,2'-联吡啶(2,2'-bipy)、4,4'-联吡啶(4,4'-bipy)分别与CuCl_2·2H_2O、CoCl_2·6H_2O和NiCl_2·61H_2O在160℃下反应,得到了3个配位聚合物:二维层结构的{[Cu_2(μ_5-deta)(2,2'-bipy)_2]·2H_2O}_n(1)、一维链结构的[Co_2(μ_4-deta)(2,2'-bipy)_2(H_2O)_3]_n(2)和三维网络结构的{[Ni_2(μ3-d eta)(μ-4,4'-bipy).25(H_2O)_5]·3 H_2O}_n(3),并对其结构和催化性质进行了研究。研究表明,在室温下化合物1在Knoevenagel缩合反应中显示出很好的催化活性。     

Syntheses and Anti-lung Cancer Activities of Zn(Ⅱ) and Cu(Ⅱ) Complexes Based on Triazole and Tetrazole,respectively

The reactions of 4H-1,2,4-triazole(Htrz) with ZnCl_2, 1H-tetrazole(Htez) and Cu(NO_3)2·6H_2O afford two novel coordination polymers respectively, {[Zn_2(trz)_2(ox)](H_2O)_3}n(1) and {[Cu_3(tez)_3(OH)_2(H_2O)_2](NO_3)(DMF)_4}_n(2)(H_2ox =(COOH_)2, DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide). 1 shows 1D channels along the a axis filled with water molecules and 2 features a 2D bi-layered framework based on trinuclear Cu(II) units bridged by two μ3-OH groups. In addition, in vitro antitumor activities of compounds 1 and 2 on four human lung cancer cells(16HBE, NCI-H1299, NCI-H460 and NCI-H292) were further determined.     

Hydrothermal Syntheses,Crystal Structures and Luminescence Properties of Cu(Ⅱ) and Cd(Ⅱ) Complexes Assembled by 6-Hydroxypicolinic Acid and 1,10-Phenanthroline

Two new complexes based on 6-hydroxypicolinic acid(H_2picO) and 1,10-phenanthroline(phen), such as [Cu_4(picO)_4(phen)_4]·12 H_2O(1) and {[Cd_4(picO)_4(phen)_4(H_2O)_2]·5H_2O}_n(2), have been synthesized and characterized by IR, elemental analyses, thermogravimetric analyses and X-ray diffraction technique. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses revealed that the two complexes both crystallize in the triclinic system, space group P(16)-. For complex 1, the picO ligands adopt a tridentate coordination mode to link copper(Ⅱ) ions into dimmers. PicO ligands also adopt a tridentate mode in complex 2, which connects the cadmium(Ⅱ) to form a one-dimensional chain. Moreover, luminescent properties of 1 and 2 were also investigated.     

Solvothermal Synthesis,Crystal Structure and Photoluminescence Property of a 3D Lead(Ⅱ) Coordination Polymer Based on Terephthalic Acid

Solvothermal reaction of Pb(NO_3)_2·6H_2O with rigid linear ligand terephthalic acid(H_2pta) in N,N-dimethylformamide(DMF) produced a new three-dimensional(3D) lead(Ⅱ)coordination polymer[Pb_2(pta)_(1.5)(μ4-OH)(DMF)]_n 1,and its structure was characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses.In polymer 1,the μ_4-OH bridges the nearby lead(Ⅱ) ions into an infinite one-dimensional(1D) chain,and then the organic ligand pta~(2-) joins the neighbored chains into a 3D structure by two similar connection modes in different configurations.The solid-state photoluminescent studies revealed that 1 exhibits a strong greenish emission mainly originating from ligand-to-metal charge transfer between the delocalized π bonds of the aromatic carboxylate ligand pta~(2-) and the p orbitals of the Pb~(2+) centers.     

Synthesis,Crystal Structure and Luminescent Property of a Ag(Ⅰ) Coordination Polymer with a 3D Sandwich-like Framework

A new coordination polymer,{[Ag_2(bpp)_2(H_2O)_2]·bpdc·3H_2O}_n,derived from the ligand biphenyl-4,4'-dicarboxylic acid(H_2bpdc),has been obtained through a hydrothermal technique(bpp = l,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane).Its single-crystal structure has been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction,powder XRD,FT-IR,TGA and elemental analysis techniques.The single-crystal X-ray diffraction reveals that complex 1 consists of 1D infinite[Ag(bpp)(H_2O)]_n~(n+)cationic chains,2D anionic layer constructed by bpdc anions and free water which provide charge compensation in the crystal structure.The 1D infinite[Ag(bpp)(H_2O)]_n~(n+) cationic chains and 2D anionic layer are further stacked in-ABAB- fashion through intermolecular H-bonding to form a 3D sandwich-like framework.In addition,the luminescent property of complex 1 in the solid state at room temperature was investigated.     

Syntheses,Structures and Characterizations of Two New Zinc(Ⅱ) Coordination Polymers Constructed from 3-(1H-Pyrazol-4-yl)-5-(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole and Different Carboxylate Ligands

Two new zinc(Ⅱ) coordination polymers, [Zn(ph)(H2 L)·H_2O]2 n(1) and [Zn(ip)(H2 L)-(H_2O)]n(2)(H2 ph = phthalic acid, H2 ip = isophthalic acid, H2L = 3-(1 H-pyrazol-4-yl)-5-(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole), have been successfully synthesized via hydrothermal reaction. It has been structurally characterized by X-ray single-crystal analysis, IR spectra, fluorescence spectroscopy and thermogravimetry analysis. The single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies reveal that compounds 1 and 2 both exhibit 1D chain structures, and assemble into 2D and 3D supermolecules through hydrogen bonds or π-π interactions. Moreover, the thermal stability and luminescent properties of compounds 1 and 2 were also studied.     

Syntheses,Structures, and Properties of Three Coordination Polymers: [Cd_2(bpp)_(1.5)(Hbpp)(phen)_2]_n, [Mn_3(Htptc)_2(phen)_2(H_2O)_2]_n,and {[Cu(btc)_(0.5)(1,4-bib)]·2H_2O}_n

Hydrothermal reactions of three aromatic polycarboxylic acids and the transitional metal cations in the presence of phen and 1,4-bib afford three new coordination polymers: [Cd2(bpp)1.5(Hbpp)(phen)2]n(1), [Mn3(Htptc)2(phen)2(H2O)2]n(2), and {[Cu(btc)0.5(1,4- bib)]·2H2O}n(3)(H2bpp = 2,6-bis(4'-carboxyphenyl)-4-phenylpyridine, H4tptc = terphenyl-2,5,2',5'-tetracarboxylic acid, H4btc = biphenyl-2,2',4,4'-tetracarboxylic acid, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, and 1,4-bib = 1,4-bis(1H-imidazol-1-yl)benzene). Their structures have been determined by singlecrystal X-ray diffraction analyses, elemental analyses, IR spectra, and powder X-ray diffraction(PXRD) analyses. In compound 1, the CdII cations are linked by bpp2- to form one ladder structure, based on which a 3D network is constructed with the help of non-covalent interactions. The topology of 2 is a 3D(3,4,5)-connected framework with the Point Schl?fli symbol of(42.6)32(4.62.8)(45.64.8)2. Compound 3 shows an unprecedented 3D(4,4)-connected framework with the Point Schl?fli symbol of(64.82)2(65.8). Moreover, the luminescent property of 1 has been investigated.
