The reaction of the mixed-valent metal triangles [Mn(3)O(O(2)CR)(6)(py)(3)] (R = CH(3), Ph, C(CH(3))(3)) with the tripodal ligands H(3)thme (1,1,1-tris(hydroxymethyl)ethane) and H(3)tmp (1,1,1-tris(hydroxymethyl)propane) in MeCN, produces a family of manganese rodlike complexes whose structures are all derived from a series of edge-sharing triangles. Variable temperature direct current (dc) magnetic susceptibility data were collected for all complexes in the 1.8-300 K temperature range in fields up to 7.0 T. Complex 1, [Mn(12)O(4)(OH)(2)(PhCOO)(12)(thme)(4)(py)(2)], has an S = 7 ground state with the parameters g = 1.98 and D = -0.13 K. Complex 2, [Mn(8)O(4)((CH(3))(3)CCO(2))(10)(thme)(2)(py)(2)] has a ground state of S = 6, with g = 1.81 and D = -0.36 K. Complex 3, [Mn(7)O(2)(PhCO(2))(9)(thme)(2)(py)(3)], has a spin ground states of S = 7 with the parameters g = 1.78 and D = -0.20 K. The best fit for complex 4, [Mn(6)((CH(3))(3)CCO(2))(8)(tmp)(2)(py)(2)], gave a spin ground state of S = 3 with the parameters g = 1.73 and D = -0.75 K, but was of poorer quality than that normally obtained. The presence of multiple Mn(2+) ions in the structure of 4 leads to the presence of low-lying excited states with energy levels very close to the ground state, and in the case of complex 5, [Mn(6)(CH(3)CO(2))(6)(thme)(2)(H(2)tea)(2)], no satisfactory fit of the data was obtained. DFT calculations on 4 and 5 indicate complexes with spin ground states of S = 4 and S = 0 respectively, despite their topological similarities. Single-crystal hysteresis loop and relaxation measurements show complex 1 to be a SMM.  相似文献

Ruthenium complexes bearing ethylbis(2-pyridylethyl)amine (ebpea), which has flexible -C(2)H(4)- arms between the amine and the pyridyl groups and coordinates to a metal center in facial and meridional modes, have been synthesized and characterized. Three trichloro complexes, fac-[Ru(III)Cl(3)(ebpea)] (fac-[1]), mer-[Ru(III)Cl(3)(ebpea)] (mer-[1]), and mer-[Ru(II)Cl(3){η(2)-N(C(2)H(5))(C(2)H(4)py)═CH-CH(2)py}] (mer-[2]), were synthesized using the Ru blue solution. Formation of mer-[2] proceeded via a C-H activation of the CH(2) group next to the amine nitrogen atom of the ethylene arm. Reduction reactions of fac- and mer-[1] afforded a triacetonitrile complex mer-[Ru(II)(CH(3)CN)(3)(ebpea)](PF(6))(2) (mer-[3](PF(6))(2)). Five nitrosyl complexes fac-[RuX(2)(NO)(ebpea)]PF(6) (X = Cl for fac-[4]PF(6); X = ONO(2) for fac-[5]PF(6)) and mer-[RuXY(NO)(ebpea)]PF(6) (X = Cl, Y = Cl for mer-[4]PF(6); X = Cl, Y = CH(3)O for mer-[6]PF(6); X = Cl, Y = OH for mer-[7]PF(6)) were synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography. A reaction of mer-[2] in H(2)O-C(2)H(5)OH at room temperature afforded mer-[1]. Oxidation of C(2)H(5)OH in H(2)O-C(2)H(5)OH and i-C(3)H(7)OH in H(2)O-i-C(3)H(7)OH to acetaldehyde and acetone by mer-[2] under stirring at room temperature occurred with formation of mer-[1]. Alternative C-H activation of the CH(2) group occurred next to the pyridyl group, and formation of a C-N bond between the CH moiety and the nitrosyl ligand afforded a nitroso complex [Ru(II)(N(3))(2){N(O)CH(py)CH(2)N(C(2)H(5))C(2)H(4)py}] ([8]) in reactions of nitrosyl complexes with sodium azide in methanol, and reaction of [8] with hydrochloric acid afforded a corresponding chloronitroso complex [Ru(II)Cl(2){N(O)CH(py)CH(2)N(C(2)H(5))C(2)H(4)py}] ([9]).  相似文献

Reactions of UCl4 with calix[n]arenes (n = 4, 6) in THF gave the mononuclear [UCl2(calix[4]arene - 2H)(THF)2].2THF (.2THF) and the bis-dinuclear [U2Cl2(calix[6]arene - 6H)(THF)3]2.6THF (.6THF) complexes, respectively, while the mono-, di- and trinuclear compounds [Hpy]2[UCl3(calix[4]arene - 3H)].py (.py), [Hpy](4)[U2Cl6(calix[6]arene - 6H)].3py (.3py), [Hpy]3[U2Cl5(calix[6]arene - 6H)(py)].py (.py) and [Hpy]6[U3Cl11(calix[8]arene - 7H)].3py (.3py) were obtained by treatment of UCl4 with calix[n]arenes (n = 4, 6, 8) in pyridine. The sodium salt of calix[8]arene reacted with UCl4 to give the pentanuclear complex [U{U2Cl3(calix[8]arene - 7H)(py)5}2].8py (.8py). Reaction of U(acac)4 (acac = MeCOCHCOMe) with calix[4]arene in pyridine afforded the mononuclear complex [U(acac)2(calix[4]arene - 2H)].4py (.4py) and its treatment with the sodium salt of calix[8]arene led to the formation of the 1D polymer [U2(acac)6(calix[8]arene - 6H)(py)4Na4]n. The sandwich complex [Hpy]2[U(calix[4]arene - 3H)2][OTf].4py (.4py) was obtained by treatment of U(OTf)4 (OTf = OSO2CF3) with calix[4]arene in pyridine. All the complexes have been characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis.  相似文献

The synthesis and magnetic properties of four new Mn complexes containing tripodal alcohol ligands are reported: [Mn6(OAc)6(H2tea)2(tmp)2].2MeCN (1.2MeCN), [Mn6(acac)4(OAc)2(Htmp)2(H2N-ep)2] (2), [Mn6(OAc)8(tmp)2(py)4].2py (3.2py), and [Mn6(OAc)8(thme)2(py)4].2py (4.2py) [H3tea, triethanolamine; H3tmp, 1,1,1-tris(hydroxymethyl)propane; H2N-H2ep, 2-amino-2-ethyl-1,3-propanediol; H3thme, 1,1,1-tris(hydroxymethyl)ethane]. All complexes are mixed-valent with a [Mn(III)2Mn(II)4] oxidation assignment and are constructed from four edge-sharing triangles but differ slightly in that complexes 1 and 2 display a [Mn(III)2Mn(II)4(mu2-OR)6(mu3-OR)4]4+ core, while complexes 3 and 4 feature [Mn(III)2Mn(II)4(mu2-OR)2(mu3-OR)4]8+ and [Mn(III)2Mn(II)4(mu2-OR)4(mu3-OR)4]6+ cores, respectively. dc and ac magnetic susceptibility studies in the 2-300 K range for complexes 1-4 reveal the presence of dominant antiferromagnetic exchange interactions, leading to ground states of S = 0 for 1 and 2, while complexes 3 and 4 display S = 4 ground states with D = -0.44 and -0.58 cm(-1), respectively. Single-molecule magnetism behavior was confirmed for 3 and 4 by the presence of sweep-rate and temperature-dependent hysteresis loops in single-crystal M vs H studies at temperatures down to 40 mK. Theoretical density functional calculations were used to evaluate the individual pairwise exchange interactions present, confirming the diamagnetic ground states for 1 and 2 and the S = 4 ground states for 3 and 4.  相似文献

Cationic Re(V) oxo compounds of the type [ReO(OSiMe3)(eta 2-B(pz)4)(L)2]X [X = Cl, L = 4-(NMe2)C5H4N (1), 1-Meimz (1-methylimidazole; 2), 1/2 dmpe (1,2-bis(dimethylphosphino)ethane; 3), py (4a); X = I, L = py (4b)] can be prepared by reacting trans-[ReO2(eta 2-B(pz)4)(L)2] with XSiMe3. In solution, cations 1-4 are reactive species, and those with unidentate nitrogen donor ligands (1, 2, and 4) rearrange into the neutral derivatives [ReO(Cl)(OSiMe3)(eta 2-B(pz)4)(L)] [L = py (5), 4-(NMe2)C5H4N (6), 1-Meimz (7)], which are also reported herein. Compounds 1-3 and 5-7 have been fully characterized by the usual spectroscopic techniques, which in some cases includes X-ray crystallographic analysis (3, 6, and 7). Compound 3 crystallizes from CH2Cl2/n-hexane as yellow crystals with one molecule of CH2Cl2 solvent, and compounds 6 and 7 crystallize from THF/n-hexane as violet and red crystals, respectively, with one molecule of THF solvent in the case of 6. The complexes [Ir(H)2(eta1-N-L)2(PPh3)2]PF6, L = py (1), iQ (2) and pip (3) (py = pyridine, iQ = isoquinoline, pip = piperidine) have been synthesized in high yields by hydrogenation of [Ir(cod)(PPh3)2]PF6 in the presence of the appropriate nitrogen compound. When hydrogen is bubbled through 1,2-dichloroethane solutions of 1 or 2, two new species were formed in each case by C-Cl bond activation of the solvent, Ir(H)2Cl(eta1-N-L)(PPh3)2 (L = py, 4; iQ, 5) and IrH(Cl)2(eta1-N-L)(PPh3)2 (L = py, 6; iQ, 7). Reaction of 3 with py or iQ yielded complexes 1 and 2, respectively, while under a slow stream of carbon monoxide the complex [Ir(H)2(eta1-N-pip)(CO)(PPh3)2]PF6 (8) was produced. Complex 3 also reacts with halide and 4-bromothiophenolate anions leading to the corresponding neutral species Ir(H)2(X)(eta1-N-pip)(PPh3)2, X = Cl (9), I (10) and 4-BrC6H4S (11), or with [MoS4]2- to yield the hetero-bimetallic complex [Ir(H)(PPh3)2(mu-S)2MoS2]- (13). All the new complexes were characterized by analytical and spectroscopic methods. The X-ray structures of , 2 and 8 consist of distorted octahedra with a mutually cis disposition of the two hydrides and mutually trans phosphines. Complexes 1, 2 and 3 and their derivatives are of interest as models for the chemisorption step in hydrodenitrogenation reactions on solid catalysts.  相似文献

Treatment of [[Ti(eta(5)-C(5)Me(5))(micro-NH)](3)(micro(3)-N)] (1) with the imido complexes [Ti(NAr)Cl(2)(py)(3)] (Ar=2,4,6-C(6)H(2)Me(3)) and [Ti(NtBu)Cl(2)(py)(3)] in toluene affords the single azatitanocubanes [[Cl(2)(ArN)Ti]( micro(3)-NH)(3)[Ti(3)(eta(5)-C(5)Me(5))(3)(micro(3)-N)]].(C(7)H(8)) (2.C(7)H(8)) and [[Cl(2)Ti](micro(3)-N)(2)(micro(3)-NH)[Ti(3)(eta(5)-C(5)Me(5))(3)(micro(3)-N)]] (3), respectively. Similar reactions of complex 1 with the niobium and tantalum imido derivatives [[M(NtBu)(NHtBu)Cl(2)(NH(2)tBu)](2)] (M=Nb, Ta) in toluene give the single azaheterometallocubanes [[Cl(2)(tBuN)M](micro(3)-N)(micro(3)-NH)(2)[Ti(3)(eta(5)-C(5)Me(5))(3)(micro(3)-N)]] (M=Nb (4), Ta (5)), both complexes react with 2,4,6-trimethylaniline to yield the analogous species [[Cl(2)(ArN)M](micro(3)-N)(micro(3)-NH)(2)[Ti(3)(eta(5)-C(5)Me(5))(3)(micro(3)-N)]].(C(7)H(8)) (Ar=2,4,6-C(6)H(2)Me(3), M=Nb (6.C(7)H(8)), Ta (7.C(7)H(8))). Also the azaheterodicubanes [M[micro(3)-N)(2)(micro(3)-NH)](2)[Ti(3)(eta(5)-C(5)Me(5))(3)(micro(3)-N)](2)].2C(7)H(8) [M=Ti (8.2C(7)H(8)), Zr (9.2C(7)H(8))], and [M[(micro(3)-N)(5)(micro(3)-NH)][Ti(3)(eta(5)-C(5)Me(5))(3)(micro(3)-N)](2)].2 C(7)H(8) (Nb (10.2C(7)H(8)), Ta (11.2C(7)H(8))) were prepared from 1 and the homoleptic dimethylamido complex [M(NMe(2))(x)] (x=4, M=Ti, Zr; x=5, M=Nb, Ta) in toluene at 150 degrees C. X-ray crystal structure determinations were performed for 6 and 10, which revealed a cube- and double-cube-type core, respectively. For complexes 2 and 4-7 we observed and studied by DNMR a rotation or trigonal-twist of the organometallic ligands [[Ti(eta(5)-C(5)Me(5))(micro-NH)](3)(micro(3)-N)] (1) and [(micro(3)-N)(micro(3)-NH)(2)[Ti(3)(eta(5)-C(5)Me(5))(3)(micro(3)-N)]](1-). Density functional theory calculations were carried out on model complexes of 2, 3, and 8 to establish and understand their structures.  相似文献

Reaction of the vanadium(V) imide [V(NAr)Cl(3)(THF)] (Ar = 2,6-C(6)H(3)(i)()Pr(2)) with the diamino-pyridine derivative MeC(2-C(5)H(4)N)(CH(2)NHSiMe(2)(t)()Bu)(2) (abbreviated as H(2)N'(2)N(py)) gave modest yields of the vanadium(IV) species [V(NAr)(H(3)N'N' 'N(py))Cl(2)] (1 where H(3)N'N' 'N(py) = MeC(2- C(5)H(4)N)(CH(2)NH(2))(CH(2)NHSiMe(2)(t)()Bu) in which the original H(2)N'(2)N(py) has effectively lost SiMe(2)(t)()Bu (as ClSiMe(2)(t)()Bu) and gained an H atom. Better behaved reactions were found between the heavier Group 5 metal complexes [M(NR)Cl(3)(py)(2)] (M = Nb or Ta, R = (t)()Bu or Ar) and the dilithium salt Li(2)[N(2)N(py)] (where H(2)N(2)N(py) = MeC(2-C(5)H(4)N)(CH(2)NHSiMe(3))(2)), and these yielded the six-coordinate M(V) complexes [M(NR)Cl(N(2)N(py))(py)] (M = Nb, R = (t)()Bu 2; M = Ta, R = (t)()Bu 3 or Ar 4). The compounds 2-4 are fluxional in solution and undergo dynamic exchange processes via the corresponding five-coordinate homologues [M(NR)Cl(N(2)N(py))]. Activation parameters are reported for the complexes 2 and 3. In the case of 2, high vacuum tube sublimation afforded modest quantities of [Nb(N(t)()Bu)Cl(N(2)N(py))] (5). The X-ray crystal structures of the four compounds 1, 2, 3, and 4 are reported.  相似文献

Extending the recently introduced concept of "alkali-metal-mediated manganation" to functionalised arenes, the heteroleptic sodium manganate reagent [(tmeda)Na(tmp)(R)Mn(tmp)] (1; TMEDA=N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine, TMP=2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidide, R=CH2SiMe3) has been treated with anisole or N,N-diisopropylbenzamide in a 1:1 stoichiometry in hexane. These reactions afforded the crystalline products [(tmeda)Na(tmp)(o-C6H4OMe)Mn(tmp)] (2) and [(tmeda)Na(tmp){o-{C(O)N(iPr)2C6H4}Mn(CH2SiMe3] (3), respectively, as determined from X-ray crystallographic studies. On the basis of these products, it can be surmised that reagent 1 has acted, at least partially and ultimately, as an alkyl base in the first reaction liberating the silane Me4Si, but as an amido base in the second reaction liberating the amine TMPH. Both of these paramagnetic products 2 and 3 have contacted ion-pair structures, the key features of which are six-atom, five-element (NaNMnCCO) and seven-atom, five-element (NaNMnCCCO) rings, respectively. Manganates 2 and 3 were successfully cross-coupled with iodobenzene under [PdCl(2)(dppf)] (dppf=1,1'-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene) catalysis to generate unsymmetrical biaryl compounds in yields of 98.0 and 66.2 %, respectively. Emphasizing the importance of alkali-metal mediation in these manganation reactions, the bisalkyl Mn reagent on its own fails to metalate the said benzamide, but instead produces the monomeric, donor-acceptor complex [Mn(R)2{(iPr)2-NC(Ph)(==O)}2] (5), which has also been crystallographically characterised. During one attempt to repeat the synthesis of 2, the butoxide-contaminated complex [{(tmeda)Na(R)(OBu)(o-C6H4OMe)Mn}2] (6) was obtained. In contrast to 2 and 3, due to reduced steric constraints, this complex adopts a dimeric arrangement in the crystal, the centrepiece of which is a twelve atom (NaOCCMnC)2 ring.  相似文献

Reactions of the lithiated diamido-pyridine or diamido-amine ligands Li(2)N(2)N(py) or Li(2)N(2)N(am) with [W(NAr)Cl(4)(THF)] (Ar = Ph or 2,6-C(6)H(3)Me(2); THF = tetrahydrofuran) afforded the corresponding imido-dichloride complexes [W(NAr)(N(2)N(py))Cl(2)] (R = Ph, 1, or 2,6-C(6)H(3)Me(2), 2) or [W(NAr)(N(2)N(am))Cl(2)] (R = Ph, 3, or 2,6-C(6)H(3)Me(2), 4), respectively, where N(2)N(py) = MeC(2-C(5)H(4)N)(CH(2)NSiMe(3))(2) and N(2)N(am) = Me(3)SiN(CH(2)CH(2)NSiMe(3))(2). Subsequent reactions of 1 with MeMgBr or PhMgCl afforded the dimethyl or diphenyl complexes [W(NPh)(N(2)N(py))R(2)] (R = Me, 5, or Ph, 6), respectively, which have both been characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Reactions of Li(2)N(2)N(py) or Li(2)N(2)N(am) with [Mo(NR)(2)Cl(2)(DME)] (R = (t)Bu or Ph; DME = 1,2-dimethoxyethane) afforded the corresponding bis(imido) complexes [Mo(NR)(2)(N(2)N(py))] (R = (t)Bu, 7, or Ph, 8) and [Mo(N(t)Bu)(2)(N(2)N(am))] (9).  相似文献

cis-[Ru(NO)Cl(pyca)(2)] (pyca = 2-pyridinecarboxylato), in which the two pyridyl nitrogen atoms of the two pyca ligands coordinate at the trans position to each other and the two carboxylic oxygen atoms at the trans position to the nitrosyl ligand and the chloro ligand, respectively (type I shown as in Chart 1), reacted with NaOCH(3) to generate cis-[Ru(NO)(OCH(3))(pyca)(2)] (type I). The geometry of this complex was confirmed to be the same as the starting complex by X-ray crystallography: C(13.5)H(13)N(3)O(6.5)Ru; monoclinic, P2(1)/n; a = 8.120(1), b = 16.650(1), c = 11.510(1) A; beta = 99.07(1) degrees; V = 1536.7(2) A(3); Z = 4. The cis-trans geometrical change reaction occurred in the reactions of cis-[Ru(NO)(OCH(3))(pyca)(2)] (type I) in water and alcohol (ROH, R = CH(3), C(2)H(5)) to form [[trans-Ru(NO)(pyca)(2)](2)(H(3)O(2))](+) (type V) and trans-[Ru(NO)(OR)(pyca)(2)] (type V). The reactions of the trans-form complexes, trans-[Ru(NO)(H(2)O)(pyca)(2)](+) (type V) and trans-[Ru(NO)(OCH(3))(pyca)(2)] (type V), with Cl(-) in hydrochloric acid solution afforded the cis-form complex, cis-[Ru(NO)Cl(pyca)(2)] (type I). The favorable geometry of [Ru(NO)X(pyca)(2)](n)(+) depended on the nature of the coexisting ligand X. This conclusion was confirmed by theoretical, synthetic, and structural studies. The mono-pyca-containing nitrosylruthenium complex (C(2)H(5))(4)N[Ru(NO)Cl(3)(pyca)] was synthesized by the reaction of [Ru(NO)Cl(5)](2)(-) with Hpyca and characterized by X-ray structural analysis: C(14)H(24)N(3)O(3)Cl(3)Ru; triclinic, Ponemacr;, a = 7.631(1), b = 9.669(1), c = 13.627(1) A; alpha = 83.05(2), beta = 82.23(1), gamma = 81.94(1) degrees; V = 981.1(1) A(3); Z = 2. The type II complex of cis-[Ru(NO)Cl(pyca)(2)] was synthesized by the reaction of [Ru(NO)Cl(3)(pyca)](-) or [Ru(NO)Cl(5)](2)(-) with Hpyca and isolated by column chromatography. The structure was determined by X-ray structural analysis: C(12)H(8)N(3)O(5)ClRu; monoclinic, P2(1)/n; a = 10.010(1), b = 13.280(1), c = 11.335(1) A; beta = 113.45(1) degrees; V = 1382.4(2) A(3); Z = 4.  相似文献

The tosylate (p-toluenesulfonate) cluster [Bu4N]2[W6Cl8(p-OSO2C6H4CH3)6] (1) has been prepared and characterized by IR and NMR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and an X-ray crystal structure. This cluster complex is shown to be a useful starting material for the preparation of pseudohalide clusters, [Bu4N]2[W6Cl8(NCQ)6] (Q = O (2), S (3), and Se (4)), in high yields. Cluster 1 also serves as a precursor to the new cluster compounds: [Bu4N]2[W6Cl8(O2CCH3)6] (5), [Bu4N]2[W6Cl8((mu-NC)Mn(CO)2(C5H5))6] (6), [W6Cl8((mu-NC)Ru(PPh3)2(C5H5))6][ p-OSO2C6H4CH3]4 (7), and [W6Cl8((mu-NC)Os(PPh3)2(C5H5))6][ p-OSO2C6H4CH3]4 (8). X-ray crystal structures are reported for 1, 4, and 5.  相似文献

Reaction of [Zr(6)Cl(18)H(5)](3)(-) (1) with 1 equiv of TiCl(4) yields a new cluster anion, [Zr(6)Cl(18)H(5)](2)(-) (2), which can be converted back into [Zr(6)Cl(18)H(5)](3)(-) (1) upon addition of 1 equiv of Na/Hg. Cluster 2 is paramagnetic and unstable in the presence of donor molecules. It undergoes a disproportionation reaction to form 1, some Zr(IV) compounds, and H(2). It also reacts with TiCl(4) to form [Zr(2)Cl(9)](-) (4) and a tetranuclear mixed-metal species, [Zr(2)Ti(2)Cl(16)](2)(-) (3). The oxidation reaction of 1 with TiCl(4) is unique. Oxidation of 1 with H(+) in CH(2)Cl(2) solution results in the formation of [ZrCl(6)](2)(-) (5) and H(2), while in py solution the oxidation product is [ZrCl(5)(py)](-) (6). There is no reaction between 1 and TiI(4), ZrCl(4), [TiCl(6)](2)(-), [ZrCl(6)](2)(-), or CrCl(3). New synthesis procedures are described to tetranuclear manganese carboxylate complexes containing the [Mn(4)O(2)](8+) or [Mn(4)O(3)X](6+) (X(-) = MeCO(2)(-), F(-), Cl(-), Br(-), NO(3)(-)) core. These involve acidolysis reactions of [Mn(4)O(3)(O(2)CMe)(4)(dbm)(3)] (1; dbm is the anion of dibenzoylmethane) or [Mn(4)O(2)(O(2)CEt)(6)(dbm)(2)] (8) with HX (X(-) = F(-), Cl(-), Br(-), NO(3)(-)); high-yield routes to 1 and 8 are also described. The X(-) = NO(3)(-) complexes [Mn(4)O(3)(NO(3))(O(2)CR)(3)(R'(2)dbm)(3)] (R = Me, R' = H (6); R = Me, R' = Et (7); R = Et, R' = H (12)) represent the first synthesis of the [Mn(4)O(3)(NO(3))](6+) core, which contains an unusual eta(1):mu(3)-NO(3)(-) group. Treatment of known [Mn(4)O(2)(O(2)CEt)(7)(bpy)(2)](ClO(4)) with HNO(3) gives [Mn(4)O(2)(NO(3))(O(2)CEt)(6)(bpy)(2)](ClO(4)) (15) containing a eta(1):eta(1):mu-NO(3)(-) group bridging the two body Mn(III) ions of the [Mn(4)O(2)](8+) butterfly core. Complex 7 x 4CH(2)Cl(2) crystallizes in space group P2(1)2(1)2(1) with (at -168 degrees C) a = 21.110(3) A, b = 22.183(3) A, c = 15.958(2) A, Z = 4, and V = 7472.4(3) A(3). Complex 15 x (3)/(2)CH(2)Cl(2) crystallizes in space group P2(1)/c with (at -165 degrees C) a = 26.025(4) A, b = 13.488(2) A, c = 32.102(6) A, beta = 97.27(1) degrees, Z = 8, and V = 11178(5) A(3). Complex 7 contains a [Mn(4)(mu(3)-O)(3)(mu(3)-NO(3))](6+) core (3Mn(III), Mn(IV)) as seen for previous [Mn(4)O(3)X](6+) complexes. Complex 15 contains a butterfly [Mn(4)(mu(3)-O)(2)](8+) core. (1)H NMR spectra have been recorded for all complexes reported in this work and the various resonances assigned. All complexes retain their structural integrity on dissolution in chloroform and dichloromethane. Magnetic susceptibility (chi(M)) data were collected on 12 in the 5-300 K range in a 10.0 kG (1 T) field. Fitting of the data to the theoretical chi(M) vs T expression appropriate for a [Mn(4)O(3)X](6+) complex of C(3)(v)() symmetry gave J(34) = -23.9 cm(-)(1), J(33) = 4.9 cm(-)(1), and g = 1.98, where J(34) and J(33) refer to the Mn(III)Mn(IV) and Mn(III)Mn(III) pairwise exchange interactions, respectively. The ground state of the molecule is S = 9/2, as found previously for other [Mn(4)O(3)X](6+) complexes. This was confirmed by magnetization data collected at various fields and temperatures. Fitting of the data gave S = 9/2, D = -0.45 cm(-1), and g = 1.96, where D is the axial zero-field splitting parameter.  相似文献

Five new Mn(II) coordination polymers, namely [Mn(2)(tbip)(2)(bix)] (1), [Mn(3)(tbip)(3)(bix)(2)] (2), [Mn(3)(tbip)(2)(Htbip)(2)(bib)(2)]·4H(2)O (3), [Mn(4)(tbip)(4)(bbp)(2)(H(2)O)(2)] (4), and [Mn(4)(tbip)(4)(bip)]·2H(2)O (5), were prepared by hydrothermal reactions of Mn(II) acetate with H(2)tbip (5-tert-butyl isophthalic acid) in the presence of different di-imidazolyl coligands (bix =1,4-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene, bib =1,4-bis(imidazol) butane, bbp =1,3-bis(benzimidazol)propane, bip =1,3-bis(imidazol)propane). All complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, thermogravimetric analysis, single-crystal X-ray crystallography, and powder X-ray diffraction. Single crystal X-ray studies show that these coordination polymers contain homometallic clusters varying from dimeric, trimeric, and tetrameric motifs to polymeric chains depending upon the coligands used. Complex 1 has a 3D 6-connected polycatenane network with dinuclear [Mn(2)O(2)] secondary building units. Complex 2 possesses a 3D 8-connected structure with trinuclear [Mn(3)(COO)(6)] units. Complex 3 shows a 3D pcu net based on trinuclear [Mn(3)(COO)(6)] clusters as nodes. Complex 4 features a 3D 8-connected structure constructed from the distorted square-grid tetranuclear [Mn(4)(μ(2)-COO)(8)(μ(2)-H(2)O)] units. Complex 5 shows a 3D (4,5,6)-connected net containing 1D μ-O/μ-COO alternately bridged chains. Magnetic susceptibility measurements indicate that complexes 1 and 3-5 show weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the adjacent Mn(II) ions, whereas 2 is a three-spin center homometallic ferromagnetic system.  相似文献

The reaction of phenylphosphonic acid (PhPO(3)H(2)) with the mixed-valent basic oxo-centered manganese triangle [Mn(3)O(O(2)CCMe(3))(6)(py)(3)] (1; where py=pyridine) in the presence of a suitable base gives four different manganese clusters depending on the identity of the base. The syntheses and structural characterization of [Mn(18)(mu(3)-O)(8)(PhPO(3))(14)(O(2)CCMe(3))(12)(py)(6)(H(2)O)(2)] (2), [Mn(7)(mu(3)-O)(3)(O(3)PPh)(3)(O(2)CCMe(3))(8)(py)(3)] (3), [Mn(9)Na(mu(3)-O)(4)(mu(4)-O)(2)(O(3)PPh)(2)(O(2)CCMe(3))(12)(H(2)O)(2)(H(2)O)(0.67)(Py)(0.33)] (4), and [Mn(13)(mu(3)-O)(8)(OMe)(8)(O(3)PPh)(4)(O(2)CCMe(3))(10)] (5) are described. Complexes 4 and 5 are homovalent Mn(III) cages, while 2 and 3 contain divalent, trivalent, and/or tetravalent ions. All the manganese centers are valence-localized, the octahedral Mn(III) sites being recognizable by marked Jahn-Teller distortions. The magnetic properties of compounds 2-5 have been investigated in the polycrystalline state by magnetic susceptibility and high-field magnetization measurements, which reveal that spin ground states vary from 0< or =S > or =8. AC susceptibility measurements performed on 4 and 5, in the 1.6-10.0 K ranges show the presence of out of AC susceptibility signal (chi(M)') for 4, and an effective energy barrier (U(eff)) for the re-orientation of the magnetization is found to be 17 K, but for 5, the chi(M)' maximum is found to be below 1.5 K.  相似文献

Metalladichalcogenolate cluster complexes [Cp'Co{E(2)C(2)(B(10)H(10))}]{Co2(CO)5} [Cp' = eta5-C5H5, E = S(3a), E = Se(3b); Cp' = eta5-C5(CH3)5, E = S(4a), E = Se(4b)], {CpCo[E(2)C(2)(B(10)H(10))]}(2)Mo(CO)2] [E = S(5a), Se(5b)], Cp*Co(micro2-CO)Mo(CO)(py)2[E(2)C(2)(B(10)H(10))] [E = S(6a), Se(6b)], Cp*Co[E(2)C(2)(B(10)H(10))]Mo(CO)2[E(2)C(2)(B(10)H(10))] [E = S(7a), Se(7b)], (Cp'Co[E(2)C(2)(B(10)H(10))]W(CO)2 [E(2)C(2)(B(10)H(10))] [Cp' = eta5-C5H5, E = S(8a), E = Se(8b); Cp' = eta5-C5(CH3)5, E = S(9a), E = Se(9b)], {CpCo[E(2)C(2)(B(10)H(10))]}(2)Ni [E = S(10a), Se(10b)] and 3,4-(PhCN(4)S)-3,1,2-[PhCN(4)SCo(Cp)S(2)]-3,1,2-CoC(2)B(9)H(8) 12 were synthesized by the reaction of [Cp'CoE(2)C(2)(B(10)H(10))] [Cp' = eta5-C5H5, E = S(1a), E = Se(1b); Cp' = eta5-C5(CH3)5, E = S(2a), E = Se(2b)] with Co2(CO)8, M(CO)3(py)3 (M = Mo, W), Ni(COD)2, [Rh(COD)Cl]2, and LiSCN4Ph respectively. Their spectrum analyses and crystal structures were investigated. In this series of multinuclear complexes, 3a,b and 4a,b contain a closed Co3 triangular geometry, while in complexes 5a-7b three different structures were obtained, the tungsten-cobalt mixed-metal complexes have only the binuclear structure, and the nickel-cobalt complexes were obtained in the trinuclear form. A novel structure was found in metallacarborane complex 12, with a B-S bond formed at the B(7) site. The molecular structures of 4a, 5a, 6a, 7b, 9a, 9b, 10a and 12 have been determined by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

A wide variety of ruthenium porphyrin carbene complexes, including [Ru(tpfpp)(CR(1)R(2))] (CR(1)R(2) = C(p-C(6)H(4)Cl)(2) 1 b, C(p-C(6)H(4)Me)(2) 1 c, C(p-C(6)H(4)OMe)(2) 1 d, C(CO(2)Me)(2) 1 e, C(p-C(6)H(4)NO(2))CO(2)Me 1 f, C(p-C(6)H(4)OMe)CO(2)Me 1 g, C(CH==CHPh)CO(2)CH(2)(CH==CH)(2)CH(3) 1 h), [Ru(por)(CPh(2))] (por=tdcpp 2 a, 4-Br-tpp 2 b, 4-Cl-tpp 2 c, 4-F-tpp 2 d, tpp 2 e, ttp 2 f, 4-MeO-tpp 2 g, tmp 2 h, 3,4,5-MeO-tpp 2 i), [Ru(por)[C(Ph)CO(2)Et]] (por=tdcpp 2 j, tmp 2 k), [Ru(tpfpp)(CPh(2))(L)] (L = MeOH 3 a, EtSH 3 b, Et(2)S 3 c, MeIm 3 d, OPPh(3) 3 e, py 3 f), and [Ru(tpfpp)[C(Ph)CO(2)R](MeOH)] (R = CH(2)CH==CH(2) 4 a, Me 4 b, Et 4 c), were prepared from the reactions of [Ru(por)(CO)] with diazo compounds N(2)CR(1)R(2) in dichloromethane and, for 3 and 4, by further treatment with reagents L. A similar reaction of [Os(tpfpp)(CO)] with N(2)CPh(2) in dichloromethane followed by treatment with MeIm gave [Os(tpfpp)(CPh(2))(MeIm)] (3 d-Os). All these complexes were characterized by (1)H NMR, (13)C NMR, and UV/Vis spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and elemental analyses. X-ray crystal structure determinations of 1 d, 2 a,i, 3 a, b, d, e, 4 a-c, and 3 d-Os revealed Ru==C distances of 1.806(3)-1.876(3) A and an Os==C distance of 1.902(3) A. The structure of 1 d in the solid state features a unique "bridging" carbene ligand, which results in the formation of a one-dimensional coordination polymer. Cyclic voltammograms of 1 a-c, g, 2 a-d, g-k, 3 b-d, 4 a, b, and 3 d-Os show a reversible oxidation couple with E(1/2) values in the range of 0.06-0.65 V (vs Cp(2)Fe(+/0)) that is attributable to a metal-centered oxidation. The influence of carbene substituents, porphyrin substituents, and trans-ligands on the Ru==C bond was examined through comparison of the chemical shifts of the pyrrolic protons in the porphyrin macrocycles ((1)H NMR) and the M==C carbon atoms ((13)C NMR), the potentials of the metal-centered oxidation couples, and the Ru==C distances among the various ruthenium porphyrin carbene complexes. A direct comparison among iron, ruthenium, and osmium porphyrin carbene complexes is made.  相似文献
