The liquid crystalline behavior of anisotropic solutions in 100% sulphuric acid ofaromatic copolyamide obtained by low-temperature solution copolycondensation of tere-phthalic acid chloride (TPC), p-phenylene diamine (PPD) and 4, 4'-diamino-diphenylether(DAPE) has been studied by optical microscopy and X-ray diffeaction. The effects ofinherent viscosity, concentration of copolyamide in sulphuric acid, the content of the thirdmonomer (DAPE) and sequence distribution of copolyamide on the critical concentration,isotropic temperature, phase diagram and texture of liquid crystal were investigated. Theschlieren texture was observed and the results of X-ray diffraction indicate that the con-centrated solutions of copolyamide exhibit nematic liquid crystalline behavior.  相似文献

Several novel aromatic liquid crystalline copolyesters with regular sequence structure were prepared by melt Sehotten-Baumann polycondensation via complex monomer. Polarizing microscope with hot stage, thermal analysis and X-ray diffraction were used to investigate the structure and properties of the copolyesters. The effects of structural units, such as flexible spacer, noncolinear meta-linked phenylene unit, crankshaft unit, kink with flexible bridging unit and various substituted benzene rings on melting temperature of aromatic copolyesters were studied and discussed on the basis of crystalline structure of the polymers.  相似文献

The properties and structures of thermotropical liquid crystalline copolyesters basedon p-hydroxybenzoic acid (PHBA), terephthalic acid (TPA) and bisphenol A (BPA) werestudied by DSC, WAXD, hot stage polarized microscopy and NMR. It was found that mostof the copolyesters were soluble in many common organic solvents. The copolyesters hadfow T_m/T_f values and a broad range of liquid crystal phase, making the polymers readilymelt-processable. The effects of annealing at different temperatures on the copolyestercontaining 33% PHBA were also discussed. It was noted that annealing at ca. 200℃(below Tc - n) could lead to the increasing of the crystallinity of the copolyester while themicrostructure and sequence structure had not changed. Annealing at ca.280℃ (nearTc - n) could bring a change of crystal and sequence structure and simultaneously madethe ndcrodomains be ordered more perfectly.  相似文献

In this paper, the sequence structure of TPA/EG/PHB liquid crystalline copolyesters made from different synthetic methods has been studied by ~1H-NMR with the help of computer program of processing peaks. The results showed that the ether bonds were not observed in TPA./EG/PHB copolyesters and the synthetic process had a great effect on their sequence structure. Under certain conditions, the high,random TPA/EG/PHB copolyesters which were considered to have higher performances than PET/xPHB could be obtained.  相似文献

Poly{2, 5- bis [ (p- methoxyphenyl ) oxycarbonyl] styrene } was successfully syn-thesized. This new polymer has a structure characteristic of mesogen-jacketed liquidcyrstalline polymers (MJLCPs) and does form a liquid crystal phase above its glass tran-sition. It thus became the starting member of a new series of MJLCPs. The synthesis ofthe polymer as well as the liquid crystalline properties of the polymer and its monomerwas discussed. A brief comparison of the new monomer and polymer with some previouslyreported counterparts was also included.  相似文献

A new type of metal coordinated liquid crystalline polymers has been synthesized by complexation of metal ions with β-diketone based side chain liquid crystal polysiloxane (DKLCP). The complexation of copper ions with DKLCP greatly increases the phase transition temperature T_k from crystalline state to liquid crystalline state and T_(cl) from LC to isotropic state and makes the range of phase transition ΔT (ΔT=T_(cl)-T_k) widened. These complexes are soluble in common organic solvents. However, the incorporation of europium ions into DKLCP molecules gives rise to reduction in liquid crystallinity and crosslinking in some cases. The DKLCP coordinated with suitable amount of Eu ions can show good liquid crystallinity and fluorescent property.  相似文献

A series of liquid crystalline polymers with two-dimensional mesogenic units were synthesized by solution polycondensation at low temperature. All the polymers were liquid crystalline. The melting temperature T_m (except that with substituent of methoxy) and the clearing temperature T_i of the polymers change regularly with varying of the length of the alkyl substituent groups.  相似文献

Thermotropic liquid crystalline VHE terpolyesters made from vanillic acid (V),p-hydroxybenzoic acid (H) and poly(ethylene terephthalate) (E) were studied by 400 MHz NMR spectra, wide angle X-ray diffraction,scanning electron and polarizing microscopes.It was found that the VHE terpolyesters had random sequence distribution.The VHE terpolyester films exhibited highly oriented fibrillar structure.  相似文献

Blends of polyamide (Nylon 66) with two different kinds of liquid crystalline polyesters were studied in all the composition range. Homogeneous samples were obtained by coprccipitation from 2 wt%. solution of blends. The thermal properties, crystallinity and morphology of these blends were studied by using DSC, polarizing microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy. The phase transition and morphology of the blends are markedly-influenced by the composition of liquid crystalline polyesters. The mechanical behaviour of PHB/HNA-Nylon 66 blend was improved. although polyamidc (Nylon 66)with the liquid crystalline polyesters were incompatible, but a rather strong interaction between the polymers did exist.  相似文献

A series of liquid crystalline polymers with T-shaped two-dimensional mesogenic unitswere synthesized via low temperature solution polycondensation of 2-(4'-alkoxy-phenyl)hydroquinone with various diacyl dichlorides. The polymers were found to be nematic andshown thermotropic liquid crystalline behaviors through observations using DSC, polarizedmicroscopy and X-ray diffraction. Critical concentrations of lyotropic liquid crystalline ethylcellulose in more than tensolvents were determined using both Abbe refractometer and polarized microscopy. Criti-cal concentration C_(crit) of forming liquid crystal phase decreased with increasing solubilityparameter δ of solvent until approaching the δ of polymer. Although the alcohols usedas solvents had the same variation rule, the critical concentration values of their solutionswere much higher, due to their excessive large hydrogen bond component of δ. The experi-ments of using mixed solvents which showed good linear relation between C_(crit) and δ alsoproved this rule. A technique of Transmission Optical Analysis was first used to estimatethe concentration dependence of critical phase transition temperature T_(crit) of EC, and aT-C phase diagram could be drawn.  相似文献

The apparent uniform blends of liquid crystalline aromatic copolyesters and semiflexible polyesters PET or PBT were obtained by mechanical mixing in the molten state within certain range of composition.The effects of blending with liquid crystalline components on the structure of homopolyester matrix were examined by thermal analysis and X-ray diffraction. These results suggest that the LC component in the blend may possibly be acting as a nucleating agent, or it may induce axial orientation of molecules promoting the local ordering of matrix. For the blends of PET, these influences mainly display in narrowing the width of cold crystalline peak and enhancing the main peak of x-ray diffraction; and for the blends of PBT, the pre-melting crystalline peak was enhanced.  相似文献

Two kinds of fishbone-like, β-diketone-based liquid crystalline polysilsesquioxanes(FBDKLCP'S), homopolymeric (H-FBDKLCP) and copolymeric (C-FBDKaLCP) have been first synthesized via the hydrosilylation reaction of a vinyl-terminated β-diketone with the homopolymeric ladderlike polyhydrosilsesquioxane (LPHSQ) and random copolymethylhydrosilsesquioxane (LRPMHSQ) respectively. These new kinds of FBDKLCP with M of 10~4 is thermotroic liquid crystalline polymer and its clearing temperatures T_i's and mesophase range △T's are much higher than those of the corresponding comb-like β-diketone liquid crystalline polysiloxane (DKLCP) by about 200℃. Similar results have been observed with the comparison of the two different structure Cu-coordinating compounds The significant increases in T_((?))'s and △T's of the FBDKLCP and Cu-FBDKLCP are mainly attributed to the great rigidity of the ladderlike polysilsesquioxane backbone.  相似文献

The crystalline behavior of urethane substitute polydiacetylene was studied by using pohrized light and electron microscopy. The lamellar morphological structure was observed in the crystallized films. The thickness of lamellae is about 300A, being independent of the crystalline temperature. But the size and density of lamellae were dependent on the crystallization temperature. If the molten film was sheared during the crystallzation process the oriented lamellae grew with their long axes perpendicular to the direction of shear and the chain direction was normal to the lamellar surface.  相似文献

A series of copolyesters based on terephthaloyl chloride, hexamethylene glycol and hydroquinone or chlorohydroquinone were prepared. The copolymers showed composition-dependent liquid crystalline properties as verified by visual observation of stir-opalescence, polarizing microscope and DSC. The copolyesters with aromatic diol contents over a certain extent (x≥0.2) were thermotropic with wide liquid crystalline temperature ranges. Comparing with the copolyesters based on butylene glycol or ethylene glycol, the minimum fraction of aromatic diol (x value) used to get the liquid crystallinity for all these copolyesters is around 0.2 regardless of the chain lengths of aliphatic glycols. ~1H-NMP studies revealed that copolyesters have microstructure of block sequence distribution and the mesogenie segments shorter than triad with three phenyl nuclei will not provide the liquid crystallinity.  相似文献

Poly(1-alkyne) with octoxy spacer -{[HC=C(CH2)8O-terphenyl-CN]}n-(PA8CN) and terphenyl liquid crystalline pendant was synthesized,and the effects of structure on the optical properties,especially the liquid crystallinity behavior of the polymer and monomer were investigated.The monomer was prepared in high yields(92.30%) by coupling and etherification reactions and successfully polymerized in the presence of Rh catalyst and Et3N cocatalyst in high yields with trans-rich(86.27%) stereoregular structure.Compared to the monomer showing mixed monolayer structure,its corresponding polymer PA8CN formed homogeneous monolayer arrangement.Upon photoexcitation,strong blue emission peak of PA8CN appeared at 413 nm[fluorescence quantum yield,ΦF = 68% when excited at 330 nm in tetrahydrofuran(THF) solution].Compared with its solid film photoexcitated at 330 nm at room temperature,the UV light-emitting band of PA8CN solid film from its liquid crystalline with liquid nitrogen quenched rapidly at 236 ℃ was red-shift 10 nm with higher intensity,which may be ascribed to the fact that the effectual conjugation and the order degree of the molecule in the liquid crystalline state of the polymer were enhanced,the energy loss caused by the thermal vibration was decreased,thus resulting in the observed hyperchromic effect.  相似文献

Styrene-acrylic acid copolymer (SAAC)-supported iron complex (SAAC·Fe)was characterized and the effect of the characteristic parameters on the catalytic activity of the complex was investigated. IR spectrum suggested that the complex SAAC·Fe possesses a structure of(C)and the Fe-O bond is higher in covalency.The complex SAAC·Fe with the structure of(C)shoved a higher catalytic activity in butadiene polymerization. When Fe/-COOH molar ratio in SAAC·Fe was about 0.2 the complex gave optimum catalytic activity. The catalytic activity of SAAC·Fe with the higher content of long sequence of acrylic acid units was low. When the content of the short sequence of acrylic acid units was predominant and at the same time the content of the short sequence was approximately equal to that of the long sequence for stryrene, the activity of the complex was high.  相似文献

Ethyl-cyanoethyl cellulose [(E-CE)C]/acrylic acid (AA) becomes a cholesteric liquid crystalline solution withvivid colors when the (E-CE)C concentration is 42 wt%~52 wt%. (E-CE)C/polyacrylic acid (PAA) composites withcholesteric structure were prepared by polymerzing AA in (E-CE)C/AA liquid crystalline solutions. The layers of orderedpolymer chains in the cholesteric phase were inclined during polymerization and the degree of the inclination depended onthe polymerization temperature and the concentration of the solution before polymerization. The cholesteric structure in thecomposites could not be changed when temperature was lower than 100℃. Cross-linking of the PAA in compositesimproved their water-resistance. The cholesteric order of the composites without cross-linking was destroyed when theywhere immersed in water. The color derived from the selective reflection of the cholesteric phase of the cross-linkedcomposites turned from blue to red after the composites absorbed water. The color of the composites could be returned to theoriginal one when the absorbed water was removed from the swollen composites.  相似文献

Based on the characteristics of granites of the Nanling region, a procedure was specially designed to do experiment on the immiscible liquid phase. The starting materials were biotite granite + NnF + LiF. Under 1000 bar and 840℃, more than two immiscible liquid phases were produced from the homogeneous granite melt rich in F and Li. Electron microprobe data suggest that the immiscible liquid phases can be divided into (ⅰ) a silicate melt rich in F and Fe (melanocratic glass balls), (ⅱ) a silicate melt poor in F (matrix glass), and (ⅲ) a melt consisting mainly of fluorates (leucocratic glass balls). In conjunction with the chemical and mineral compositions, the structure and texture of granites in the Nanling region, the experimental results are discussed in this paper. The theory of liquid immiscibility can well account for the globular structure, glass inclusions pressent in minerals mineralized globular "inclusions", flow structure, banded structure and layer structure as are observed in Nanling g  相似文献
