Bulk molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) itself is virtually insoluble in common organic solvents because of the tight stacks of multiple MoS2 nanosheets. Here we report that V‐shaped polyaromatic compounds with non‐ionic side chains can efficiently exfoliate and disperse the inorganic nanosheets. Simple grinding and sonication (less than total 1 h) of MoS2 powder with the V‐shaped compounds gave rise to large MoS2 nanosheets highly dispersed in NMP through efficient host‐guest S–π interactions. DLS and AFM analyses revealed that the lateral sizes (ca. 150–270 nm) and thicknesses (ca. 2–8 nm) of the products depend on the identity of the non‐ionic side chains on the V‐shaped dispersant.

In this work, a facile hydrothermal route was used to prepare nano‐sized MoS2 catalyst. The effect of citric acid during the MoS2 preparation process on the catalytic activity of sulfur‐resistant CO methanation was investigated. It was found that citric acid played an adverse role on the catalytic activity of MoS2 toward sulfur‐resistant CO methanation. However, CO methanation performance turned out to be better when NH2OH?HCl as a reductant was removed during the catalyst preparation process. The X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and infrared spectroscopy (IR) were performed to discuss the possible mechanism for the effect of citric acid towards CO methanation performance.  相似文献

Acidity of Ni- and Co-promoted molybdena and tungsta hydrodesulphurisation (HDS) catalysts have been determined by volumetric adsorption of ammonia. A direct correlation between the adsorption of ammonia, and hence the acidity, and the HDS activity could be observed for reduced catalysts A relation between ammonia adsorption and anion vacancy concentration is thus indicated, as the latter is related to HDS activity. Contrary to unpromoted molybdena there is a decrease in acidity on sulphidation of Ni-promoted molybdena catalyst. This decrease is attributed to the influence of, Ni in suppressing the formation of anion vacancies by catalysing the crystallisation of MoS2. Promoted tungsta catalysts were found to have lower acidities as compared to promoted molybdena catalysts, which is consistent with their lower desulphurisation activity.  相似文献

In contrast to the bulk MoS2, the structure of the active phase of the catalyst prepared via exfoliation is shown to exhibit a number of distortions, which form a superstructure of the type of the charge density waves with a quasi-period of 30 ?. Due to such distortions, the ions of cobalt firmly chemisorb on the basal plane of MoS2 occupying, along the perimeter of the MoS2 clusters, the regions with a lower energy of the Mo-S interaction. A synergetic increase in the catalyst activity due to the introduction of cobalt was observed up to the atomic ratios of Co/(Co+Mo) = 0.33, which is possible for the nanoparticles of MoS2 with a diameter 200 ?, only if cobalt adsorbs on the basal plane. This revised version was published online in June 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

It was found that, in MoS2/Al2O3 catalysts prepared by exfoliation, the structure of MoS2 is strongly distorted. The catalytic activities of these catalysts and traditionally prepared catalysts toward the hydrodesulfurization of thiophene were compared. It was established that the stacking dimension of MoS2 in the catalysts prepared by exfoliation was 200 Å, whereas it was 20 Å in a standard catalyst. It was demonstrated that, although the number of molybdenum atoms in the edge plane per gram of MoS2 in the catalysts prepared by exfoliation was 10 times smaller than that in the standard catalyst, the activity of these catalysts was close to the activity of the standard catalyst. On this basis, it was suggested that the hydrodesulfurization of thiophene can occur on the basal plane of MoS2 that has a defect-free structure with a distorted environment of molybdenum.  相似文献

The development of high-efficiency, low-cost, and earth-abundant electrocatalysts for overall water splitting remains a challenge. In this work, Ni-modified MoS2 hybrid catalysts are grown on carbon cloth (Ni-Mo-S@CC) through a one-step hydrothermal treatment. The optimized Ni-Mo-S@CC catalyst shows excellent hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) activity with a low overpotential of 168 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm−2 in 1.0 m KOH, which is lower than those of Ni-Mo-S@CC (1:1), Ni-Mo-S@CC (3:1), and pure MoS2. Significantly, the Ni-Mo-S@CC hybrid catalyst also displays outstanding oxygen evolution reaction (OER) activity with a low overpotential of 320 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm−2, and remarkable long-term stability for 30 h at a constant current density of 10 mA cm−2. Experimental results and theoretical analysis based on density functional theory demonstrate that the excellent electrocatalytic performance can be attributed mainly to the remarkable conductivity, abundant active sites, and synergistic effect of the Ni-doped MoS2. This work sheds light on a unique strategy for the design of high-performance and stable electrocatalysts for water-splitting electrolyzers.  相似文献

Recently, nanozymes have attracted extensive attention because of their advantages of combining nanomaterials with enzymes. Herein, hexagonal boron nitride (h‐BN) and nitride‐doped molybdenum disulfide (N?MoS2) nano‐composites (h‐BN/N?MoS2) were synthesized by facile and cost‐effective liquid exfoliation with a solvothermal method in nontoxic ethanol solution. The results show that h‐BN, as a co‐catalyst, can not only dope into the lattice of MoS2 but also form a heterogeneous structure with MoS2NSs. It expanded the layer spacing and specific surface area of MoS2NSs, which was beneficial to the contact between the catalyst and the substrate, and resulted in a synergistic enhancement of the catalytic activity of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) with MoS2. A colorimetric determination platform of h‐BN/N?MoS2‐TMB‐H2O2 was constructed. It exhibited a wide linear range of 1–1000 μM with a low limit of detection (LOD) of 0.4 μM under optimal conditions, high sensitivity and stability, as well as good reliability (99.4–110.0%) in practice, making the measurement system more widely applicable.1. A sensing platform was developed based on the molybdenum disulfide-reduced graphene oxide (MoS2-RGO). The flower-like MoS2-RGO nanocomposite had a large number of active sites such as oxygen-containing groups and highly reactive sulfur that contributed to the adsorption and preconcentration of heavy metal ions (HMIs). MoS2-RGO was synthesized by one-step reduction method. Under optimized conditions, the limits of detection (LODs) for Pb(II) and Cd(II) was 0.13 μg/L and 0.59 μg/L with a linear range of 4.1–207.2 μg/L and 2.2–112.4 μg/L, respectively. The modified sensors had been successfully applied to detect Pb(II) and Cd(II) in three kinds of edible mushrooms.  相似文献

Traditional hydrotreating catalysts are constituted by molybdenum deposited on Al2O3 promoted by nickel and phosphorous. Several studies have shown that TiO2-Al2O3 mixed oxides are excellent supports for the active phases. Results concerning the preparation, characterization and testing of molybdenum catalyst supported on titania-alumina are presented. The support was prepared by sol-gel route using titanium and aluminum isopropoxides, the titanium one chelated with acetylacetone (acac) to promote similar hydrolysis ratio for both the alcoxides. The effect of nominal molar ratio [Ti]/[Ti+Al] on the microstructural features of nanometric particles was analyzed by X-Ray Diffraction, N2 Adsorption Isotherms and Transmission Electron Microscopy. The catalytic activity of Mo impregnated supports was evaluated using the thiophene hydrodesulfurization at different temperatures and atmospheric pressure. The pores size distribution curve moves from the micropores to the mesopores by increasing the Ti contents, allowing the fine tuning of average size from 2.5 to 6 nm. Maximal (367 m2·g?1) and minimal (127 m2·g?1) surface area were found for support containing [Ti]/[Ti+Al] ratio equal to 0.1 and 1, respectively. The good mesopore texture of alumina-titania support with [Ti]/[Ti+Al] molar ratio between 0.3 and 0.5 was found particularly valuable for the preparation of well dispersed MoS2 active phase, leading to HDS catalyst with somewhat higher activity than that prepared using a commercial alumina support.  相似文献

Decomposition of ammonium heptamolybdate–hexamethylentetramine (HMTA) complex (HMTA)2(NH4)4Mo7O24·2H2O was studied as a function of treatment conditions in the range 300–1173 K. The evolution of solid products during decomposition was studied by thermal analysis and in situ EXAFS. Depending on the nature of the gas used for treatment, single phases of highly dispersed nitrides Mo2N, carbide Mo2C, or oxide MoO2 can be obtained. The nature of the products obtained was explained by qualitative thermodynamical considerations. Morphology of the solids considerably depends on such preparation parameters as temperature and mass velocity of the gas flow. For the nitride-based materials, catalytic activity was evaluated in the model thiophene HDS reaction. It was demonstrated that NH3-treated samples showed better catalytic activity than N2-treated ones due to cleaner surface and better morphology. Transmission microscopy, XRD and XPS studies showed that MoS2 is formed on the surface during HDS reaction or sulfidation with H2S. Optimized nitride-derived catalysts showed mass activity several times higher than unsupported MoS2 or MoS2/Al2O3 reference catalyst.  相似文献

HY–Al2O3-supported CoMo catalysts with a chelating agent and phosphorus for the hydrodesulfurization (HDS) of diesel fractions were prepared. The activity measurements with the prepared catalysts were carried out with straight-run light gas oil feedstocks in a pilot plant under industrial hydrotreating conditions. As a result, Cosmo Oil Co., Ltd. developed a new CoMoP/HY–Al2O3 catalyst, C-606A, which had three times higher HDS activity than the conventional CoMoP/Al2O3 catalyst. Commercial operations to produce ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) with C-606A have successfully demonstrated its high performance and high stability. This catalyst has an extremely high activity, which enables to achieve <10-ppm sulfur in products in diesel hydrotreater designed to produce 500-ppm sulfur diesel fuels. Mo K-edge EXAFS, TEM and FT-IR of adsorbed NO were performed to investigate the nature of the active sites on the developed catalysts. The results showed that the new catalyst has multiple layers of MoS2 slabs and the edges of MoS2 are mainly occupied by Co–Mo–S phases. XPS and FT-IR were used to investigate the sulfiding behavior of Co and Mo in the formation process of the active sites during sulfidation. The results showed that addition of carboxylic acid to the impregnation solution postponed the sulfidation of Co at low temperatures, thereby increasing formation of the Co–Mo–S phase.  相似文献

Two-dimensional (2D) molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) holds great promise in electronic and optoelectronic applications owing to its unique structure and intriguing properties. The intrinsic defects such as sulfur vacancies (SVs) of MoS2 nanosheets are found to be detrimental to the device efficiency. To mitigate this problem, functionalization of 2D MoS2 using thiols has emerged as one of the key strategies for engineering defects. Herein, we demonstrate an approach to controllably engineer the SVs of chemically exfoliated MoS2 nanosheets using a series of substituted thiophenols in solution. The degree of functionalization can be tuned by varying the electron-withdrawing strength of substituents in thiophenols. We find that the intensity of 2LA(M) peak normalized to A1g peak strongly correlates to the degree of functionalization. Our results provide a spectroscopic indicator to monitor and quantify the defect engineering process. This method of MoS2 defect functionalization in solution also benefits the further exploration of defect-free MoS2 for a wide range of applications.  相似文献

The catalytic activity and the structure of unsupported Mo and CoMo nitrided catalysts were investigated. It was found that the structure and catalytic activity of the nitrided catalysts are influenced by the conditions of nitridation. Molybdenum oxynitrides are more active in hydrodesulfurization (HDS) of thiophene than MoS2. The addition of cobalt to nitrided Mo improves its HDS activity, however, sulfided CoMo catalyst is still more active than the nitrided one. Synergy between Co and Mo for the nitrided unsupported CoMo catalyst exists at lower degree than for the sulfided form of CoMo.  相似文献

The rapid development of electrochemical energy storage systems requires new electrode materials with high performance. As a two-dimensional material, molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) has attracted increasing interest in energy storage applications due to its layered structure, tunable physical and chemical properties, and high capacity. In this review, the atomic structures and properties of different phases of MoS2 are first introduced. Then, typical synthetic methods for MoS2 and MoS2-based composites are presented. Furthermore, the recent progress in the design of diverse MoS2-based micro/nanostructures for rechargeable batteries, including lithium-ion, lithium-sulfur, sodium-ion, potassium-ion, and multivalent-ion batteries, is overviewed. Additionally, the roles of advanced in situ/operando techniques and theoretical calculations in elucidating fundamental insights into the structural and electrochemical processes taking place in these materials during battery operation are illustrated. Finally, a perspective is given on how the properties of MoS2-based electrode materials are further improved and how they can find widespread application in the next-generation electrochemical energy-storage systems.  相似文献

Low storage capacity and poor cycling stability are the main drawbacks of the electrode materials for sodium‐ion (Na‐ion) batteries, due to the large radius of the Na ion. Here we show that micro‐structured molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) can exhibit high storage capacity and excellent cycling and rate performances as an anode material for Na‐ion batteries by controlling its intercalation depth and optimizing the binder. The former method is to preserve the layered structure of MoS2, whereas the latter maintains the integrity of the electrode during cycling. A reversible capacity of 90 mAh g?1 is obtained on a potential plateau feature when less than 0.5 Na per formula unit is intercalated into micro‐MoS2. The fully discharged electrode with sodium alginate (NaAlg) binder delivers a high reversible capacity of 420 mAh g?1. Both cells show excellent cycling performance. These findings indicate that metal chalcogenides, for example, MoS2, can be promising Na‐storage materials if their operation potential range and the binder can be appropriately optimized.  相似文献

The development of flexible electrodes is of considerable current interest because of the increasing demand for modern electronics, portable medical products, and compact devices. We report a new type of flexible electrochemical sensor fabricated by integrating graphene and MoS2 nanosheets. A highly flexible and free‐standing conductive MoS2 nanosheets/reduced graphene oxide (MoS2/rGO) paper was prepared by a two‐step process: vacuum filtration and chemical reduction treatment. The MoS2/graphene oxide (MoS2/GO) paper obtained by a simple filtration method was transformed into MoS2/rGO paper after a chemical reduction process. The obtained MoS2/rGO paper was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X‐ray diffraction spectroscopy, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The electrochemical behavior of folic acid (FA) on MoS2/rGO paper electrode was investigated by cyclic voltammetry and amperometry. Electrochemical experiments indicated that flexible MoS2/rGO composite paper electrode exhibited excellent electrocatalytic activity toward the FA, which can be attributed to excellent electrical conductivity and high specific surface area of the MoS2/rGO paper. The resulting biosensor showed highly sensitive amperometric response to FA with a wide linear range.  相似文献

Coupling of plasmonic metal nanostructures on two‐dimensional materials represents one promising approach to improve their optoelectronic device performance. In this article, we systematically investigated the interfacial interactions between Au nanoclusters and monolayer molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) and the effect of Au decoration on the electrical transport and optical properties of MoS2, through the combination of in situ MoS2 field‐effect transistor device evaluation and in situ ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurements. The in situ X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy/ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy experiments revealed a weak interfacial coupling between Au nanoclusters and monolayer MoS2. The absence of strong charge transfer between Au nanoclusters and MoS2 was further confirmed by the photoluminescence and Raman measurements. It was also found that the electron charge‐carrier concentration in monolayer MoS2 weakly depended on the coverage of Au nanoclusters. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A novel MoS2 quantum dots/CoSe2 nanosheet (MoS2 QDs/CoSe2) hybrid with 0D/2D heterostructure has been developed. The CoSe2 nanosheets (NSs) enable an excellent oxygen evolution reaction (OER) activity with increasing vacancy configuration on one hand, while the MoS2 QDs serve as an eminent hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) catalyst on the other. By integrating MoS2 QDs and CoSe2 NSs, the hybrid exhibits excellent electrocatalytic performances in HER and OER. The unique 0D/2D hetero‐interface increases the exposed active sites and facilitates electron transfer, thereby boosting the electrocatalytic activity. Relatively low overpotentials of 82 mV and 280 mV are required to drive the current density of 10 mA/cm2 for HER and OER, with corresponding Tafel slopes of 69 and 75 mV/dec, respectively. As such, this work provides an efficient yet simple approach to construct bifunctional electrocatalysts with enhanced activity and stability.  相似文献

Elucidation of the hydrodesulfurization (HDS) mechanism on molybdenum‐based catalysts using radioisotope tracer methods and reaction kinetics is reviewed. Firstly, to investigate the sulfidation state in Mo/Al2O3 and Co–Mo/Al2O3 catalysts, presulfiding of these catalysts has been performed using a 35S pulse tracer method. Secondly, HDS of radioactive 35S‐labeled dibenzothiophene was carried out over a series of sulfided molybdena–alumina catalysts and cobalt‐promoted molybdena–alumina catalysts in a pressurized flow reactor to estimate the behavior of sulfur on the working catalysts. Finally, sulfur exchange of a 35S‐labeled catalyst with hydrogen sulfide was performed to estimate the relationship between the amount of labile sulfur and catalytically active sites.  相似文献
