Free-edge effects in laminated, circular, cylindrical shell panels subjected to hygrothermal loading are studied by utilizing displacement-based technical theories. Starting from the most general displacement field of elasticity for long, circular, cylindrical shells, appropriate reduced displacement fields are determined for laminated composite shell panels with cross-ply and antisymmetric angle-ply layups. An equivalent single-layer shell theory is used to analytically determine the constant parameters appearing in the reduced displacement fields. A layerwise shell theory is then employed to analytically determine the local displacement functions and the boundary-layer interlaminar stresses in cross-ply and antisymmetric angle-ply shell panels under hygroscopic and/or thermal changes. Several numerical examples for the distributions of transverse shear and normal stresses in various shell panels under a uniform temperature change are presented and discussed.  相似文献

以聚苯乙烯(PS)微球为内核,通过控制正硅酸乙酯的水解过程制备具有不同壳层形态的核/壳结构PS/SiO2复合磨料,应用于二氧化硅介质层的化学机械抛光,借助AFM测量抛光表面的形貌、轮廓曲线及粗糙度.SEM和TEM结果显示:碱性水解条件下,复合磨料的壳层由SiO2纳米颗粒组成(非连续壳层);酸性条件下,复合磨料的壳层则呈无定型网状(连续壳层).抛光对比试验结果表明:复合磨料的PS弹性内核有利于降低表面粗糙度并减少机械损伤,SiO2壳层则有利于提高材料去除率,复合磨料的核/壳协同效应对于提高抛光质量具有主要影响.相对于非连续壳层复合磨料,具有连续壳层的PS/SiO2复合磨料能够得到更低的抛光表面粗糙度值(RMS=0.136 nm),且在抛光过程中表现出了更好的结构稳定性.然而,PS/SiO2复合磨料的壳层形态对抛光速率的影响则不明显.  相似文献

针对复合圆柱壳在炸药爆轰作用下的动力学响应及在此过程中伴随的失稳问题,研究了其制造工艺中可能出现的缺陷以及圆柱壳中铜线螺旋角和直径对复合圆柱壳稳定性产生的影响。采用SPH-FEM耦合算法,建立了复合圆柱壳二维细节模型,并提出了一种基于圆柱壳内壁粒子速度历史的失稳判据,计算了在不同参数条件下复合圆柱壳的失稳时间及对应的压缩率,对影响复合圆柱壳稳定性的因素进行了评估。分析结果表明,在复合圆柱壳制备过程中存在的折返层缺陷和铜线直径对复合圆柱壳的稳定性有较大影响,而螺旋角度对其稳定性影响不大。  相似文献

通过引入单三角级数形式的位移函数, 求解了法向任意分布载荷作用下对 边简支时圆柱壳的环向弯曲问题, 把线载荷近似为微元矩形区的分布载荷, 推导出了线 载荷作用下圆柱壳的环向弯曲变形计算式, 并给出了线载荷为均布和线性变化时的具体解. 计算表明, 该种边界约束条件下圆柱壳的环向弯曲变形位移分布场的理论计算结果与有限元 分析结果基本吻合.  相似文献

Equations which govern the behavior of an elastic unsymmetrical, orthotropic sandwich shell of double curvature with orthotropic core having different elastic characteristics under uniform heating are derived. The face sheet may be of unequal thickness of different materials. However, a restriction that the radii of curvature of the shell elements be large compared with the overall thickness of the sandwich shell is imposed. The variational procedure has been used to obtain the five equations which govern the behavior of the heated orthotropic sandwich shell for the stability. In case of symmetry the equations resemble with those of Grigolyuk. Finally, the numerical results of a square or a rectangular simply supported curved plate section of a cylindrical shell under thermal loading have been computed and compared with other known results. The graphs have been drawn to show the effects of different sandwich material for immovable and movable edge conditions.  相似文献

We use the solution of the problem under study which was earlier obtained by the author [1—3] and which is based on a decomposition of the reinforced shell into separate constructive elements (the ribs and the shell itself) and then on deriving the equilibrium equations and consistency conditions for their strains. Under the assumption that the shell precritical state is momentless, this is a sufficiently exact solution. Its drawback is the significant complexity of the computational algorithm. In the present paper, we show that the laboriousness of the algorithm can be reduced dramatically if the shell under study has elements of design symmetry (identical ribs, their uniform spacing, or both). In addition, we present dependencies determining the stiffening rib rigidity needed to ensure that the shell remains stable for a given critical value of the external hydrostatic pressure.  相似文献

This paper studies the free edge effect yielded by interlaminar stress in a laminated cylindrical shell made up of fiber reinforced layer [0°], [90°] and the isotropic material layer under axisymmetric thermal load or radial pressure. Both ends of the shell are in free boundary condition. The exact solution of the problem can be obtained by using the three-dimensional theory of elasticity. For illustration, the numerical laminar stresses in a double-layer laminated shell under thermal load or radial pressure are calculated.  相似文献

A perturbation method is presented for the analysis of postbuckling behavior and imperfection sensitivity of elastic structures which have more than one buckling mode. The method is exemplified by analyzing a complete spherical shell under external hydrostatic pressure. The elastoviscoplastic behavior of a discretely reinforced shell under axisymmetric nonstationary loading is considered within the framework of the geometrically and physically nonlinear Timoshenko-type theory of shells. The stress–strain state of the structure is studied in terms of the incremental plasticity with kinematic hardening and dynamic yielding condition, which allows for the dynamic viscosity of the structure. The nonstationary behavior of a rigidly fastened reinforced shell under axisymmetric pulse loading normal to the shell surface is considered as an example. A semi-infinite cylindrical shell filled with a perfect incompressible liquid is considered. A vibrating rigid spherical segment placed on the shell axis excites the shell. The Laplace equation is solved under appropriate boundary conditions on the spherical, cylindrical, and flat surfaces bounding the liquid. Possibility is used to reexpand a spherical harmonic function in terms of a system of cylindrical harmonic functions and vice versa. The questions investigated in this paper are related to an important class of problems of optimal design of structures against brittle fracture. The primary problem of axisymmetric shell optimization under fracture mechanics constraint is formulated as the weight (volume of the shell material) minimization under stress intensity constraints. Considered problems are characterized by incomplete information concerning crack size, crack location and its orientation. Taking into account the factor of incomplete information the paper presents the formulation of optimal shell design problem based on minimax (guaranteed) approach and provides some results of analytical investigation for thin-walled shells with through cracks.  相似文献
