In this paper, a generalized auxiliary equation method with the aid of the computer symbolic computation system Maple is proposed to construct more exact solutions of nonlinear evolution equations, namely, the higher-order nonlinear Schrödinger equation, the Whitham–Broer–Kaup system, and the generalized Zakharov equations. As a result, some new types of exact travelling wave solutions are obtained, including soliton-like solutions, trigonometric function solutions, exponential solutions, and rational solutions. The method is straightforward and concise, and its applications are promising.  相似文献

By using the dynamical system method to study the 2D-generalized Benney- Luke equation, the existence of kink wave solutions and uncountably infinite many smooth periodic wave solutions is shown. Structure of nonnegative nontrivial and positive solutions was precisely studied for some singularly perturbed p-Laplace equations. By virtue of sub- and supersolution method, it is shown that there are many nonnegative nontrivial spike-layer solutions and positive intermediate spike-layer solutions. Moreover, the upper and lower bound on the measure of each spike-layer were estimated when the parameter is sufficiently small.  相似文献

This paper aims at analyzing the shapes of the bounded traveling wave solu- tions for a class of nonlinear wave equation with a quintic term and obtaining its damped oscillatory solutions. The theory and method of planar dynamical systems are used to make a qualitative analysis to the planar dynamical system which the bounded traveling wave solutions of this equation correspond to. The shapes, existent number, and condi- tions are presented for all bounded traveling wave solutions. The bounded traveling wave solutions are obtained by the undetermined coefficients method according to their shapes, including exact expressions of bell and kink profile solitary wave solutions and approxi- mate expressions of damped oscillatory solutions. For the approximate damped oscillatory solution, using the homogenization principle, its error estimate is given by establishing the integral equation, which reflects the relation between the exact and approximate so- lutions. It can be seen that the error is infinitesimal decreasing in the exponential form.  相似文献

This paper presents two exact explicit solutions for the three dimensional dual-phase lag (DLP) heat conduction equation, during the derivation of which the method of trial and error and the authors' previous experiences are utilized. To the authors' knowledge, most solutions of 2D or 3D DPL models available in the literature are obtained by numerical methods, and there are few exact solutions up to now. The exact solutions in this paper can be used as benchmarks to validate numerical solutions and to develop numerical schemes, grid generation methods and so forth. In addition, they are of theoretical significance since they correspond to physically possible situations. The main goal of this paper is to obtain some possible exact explicit solutions of the dual-phase lag heat conduction equation as the benchmark solutions for computational heat transfer, rather than specific solutions for some given initial and boundary conditions. Therefore, the initial and boundary conditions are indeterminate before derivation and can be deduced from the solutions afterwards. Actually, all solutions given in this paper can be easily proven by substituting them into the governing equation.  相似文献

The present investigation derives the exact and series solutions for steady thin film flow of a third‐grade fluid. The series solution is constructed by a homotopy analysis method. The Illner model is the most general two-velocity model of the discrete Boltzmann equation. It includes, as particular cases, both the Carleman and the McKean model. Exact solutions in 1+1 dimensions of the general two-velocity discrete Illner model can be studied in a concise way. The conclusions of the precursors need ameliorating. A new type of exact solutions in 1+1 dimensions is obtained. This gives a general method for studying non-trivial exact solutions for the similar discrete Boltzmann equation. The method of manufactured solutions is used to verify the order of accuracy of two finite‐volume Euler and Navier–Stokes codes. The Premo code employs a node‐centred approach using unstructured meshes, while the Wind code employs a similar scheme on structured meshes. Both codes use Roe's upwind method with MUSCL extrapolation for the convective terms and central differences for the diffusion terms, thus yielding a numerical scheme that is formally second‐order accurate. The method of manufactured solutions is employed to generate exact solutions to the governing Euler and Navier–Stokes equations in two dimensions along with additional source terms. These exact solutions are then used to accurately evaluate the discretization error in the numerical solutions. Through global discretization error analyses, the spatial order of accuracy is observed to be second order for both codes, thus giving a high degree of confidence that the two codes are free from coding mistakes in the options exercised.
