In this paper, a generalized auxiliary equation method with the aid of the computer symbolic computation system Maple is proposed to construct more exact solutions of nonlinear evolution equations, namely, the higher-order nonlinear Schrödinger equation, the Whitham–Broer–Kaup system, and the generalized Zakharov equations. As a result, some new types of exact travelling wave solutions are obtained, including soliton-like solutions, trigonometric function solutions, exponential solutions, and rational solutions. In this paper, with the aid of computer symbolic computation system such as Maple, an algebraic method is firstly applied to two nonlinear evolution equations, namely, nonlinear Schrodinger equation and Pochhammer–Chree (PC) equation. As a consequence, some new types of exact traveling wave solutions are obtained, which include bell and kink profile solitary wave solutions, triangular periodic wave solutions, and singular solutions. The method is straightforward and concise, and it can also be applied to other nonlinear evolution equations in mathematical physics.  相似文献

In this paper, an extended tanh method with computerized symbolic computation is used for constructing the traveling wave solutions of coupled nonlinear equations arising in physics. The obtained solutions include solitons, kinks, and plane periodic solutions. In this paper, the steady boundary layer flow and heat transfer of a micropolar fluid on an isothermal continuously moving plane surface is studied analytically. It is assumed that the microinertia density is variable and the viscous dissipation effect is taken into account. The system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations is solved analytically using the homotopy analysis method (HAM) and the results are obtained for various flow and heat transfer characteristics. By using HAM, accurate analytic series solutions are obtained in the whole spatial region. Also, a new suggestion for choosing the proper value of the auxiliary parameter ? in the convergence region is proposed. It is observed that the present solutions have higher accuracy when the residual error is obtained. This study describes the influence of mass transfer on the steady two‐dimensional magnetohydrodynamic boundary layer flow of a Jeffery fluid bounded by a stretching sheet. A uniform magnetic field in the presence of chemical reaction is applied. The arising nonlinear partial differential equations are reduced to nonlinear ordinary differential equations by similarity variables. Similar solutions of velocity and concentration fields are derived by a homotopy analysis method. The values of surface mass transfer and gradient of mass transfer are also tabulated. Dynamical analysis has revealed that, for some nonlinear wave equations, loop- and inverted loop-soliton solutions are actually visual artifacts. The so-called loopsoliton solution consists of three solutions, and is not a real solution. The flow of an Oldroyd 8‐constant non‐Newtonian MHD fluid is investigated analytically and numerically. The governing equations for the flow field are derived for a steady one‐dimensional flow. The effect of constant applied magnetic field is included and its influence on the flow field is studied. The nonlinear governing equation along with nonlinear boundary conditions is solved analytically and the solution is obtained in an elegant way. Numerical solutions are also obtained using higher order Chebyshev spectral methods. The influence of various non‐Newtonian parameters and applied magnetic field is investigated. The nonlinear behavior of an inclined cable subjected to a harmonic excitation is investigated in this paper. The Galerkin’s method is applied to the partial differential governing equations to obtain a two-degree-of-freedom nonlinear system subjected to harmonic excitation. The nonlinear systems in the presence of both external and 1:1 internal resonances are transformed to the averaged equations by using the method of averaging. The averaged equations are numerically examined to obtain the steady-state responses and chaotic solutions. Five cascades of period-doubling bifurcations leading to chaotic solutions, 3-periodic solutions leading to chaotic solution, boundary crisis phenomena, as well as the Shilnikov mechanism for chaos, are observed. In order to study the global dynamics of an inclined cable, after determining the averaged equations of motion in a suitable form, a new global perturbation technique developed by Kova?i? and Wiggins is used. This technique provides analytical results for the critical parameter values at which the dynamical system, through the Shilnikov type homoclinic orbits, possesses a Smale horseshoe type of chaos.  相似文献

A new HB (Harmonic Balance)/AFT (Alternating Frequency Time) method is further developed to obtain synchronous and subsynchronous whirling response of nonlinear MDOF rotor systems. Using the HBM, the nonlinear differential equations of a rotor system can be transformed to algebraic equations with unknown harmonic coefficients. A technique is applied to reduce the algebraic equations to only those of the nonlinear coordinates. Stability analysis of the periodic solutions is performed via perturbation of the solutions. To further reduce the computational time for the stability analysis, the reduced system parameters (mass, damping, and stiffness) are calculated in terms of the already known harmonic coefficients. For illustration, a simple MDOF rotor system with a piecewise-linear bearing clearance is used to demonstrate the accuracy of the calculated steady-state solutions and their bifurcation boundaries. Employing ideas from modern dynamics theory, the example MDOF nonlinear rotor system is shown to exhibit subsynchronous, quasi-periodic and chaotic whirling motions.  相似文献

The breather solutions of the Maxwell–Bloch equations in a two-level resonant system associated with the self-induced transparency phenomenon are constructed by the Darboux transformation. After constructing the formulas of the second-order breather solutions, the double degeneration and hybrid solutions are studied by the analytical form as well as figures. Our results might be helpful in such application or prevention of the rogue waves from breather solution interactions and degeneration in the nonlinear optical systems associated with the Maxwell–Bloch equations.  相似文献

In this paper, a new auxiliary equation method is used to find exact travelling wave solutions to the (1+1)-dimensional KdV equation. Some exact travelling wave solu- tions with parameters have been obtained, which cover the existing solutions. Compared to other methods, the presented method is more direct, more concise, more effective, and easier for calculations.
