Correlating damage level and changes in dynamic characteristics of a structure forms the basis for damage detection techniques in structural health monitoring. In reinforced concrete building structures such correlation is not well established. A damage detection technique capable of identifying the structural condition of the system based on its small amplitude vibration response is desirable because such response is easier to obtain. It is a common practice in engineering applications to estimate dynamic parameters from small-amplitude vibrations assuming a linear behavior of the structure. This simplification causes inaccurate estimation of the dynamic properties in reinforced concrete structures due to the presence of nonlinear elastic behavior. In this study no such assumption is made and a linear model is only used for sets of data corresponding to the same displacement amplitude of a nonlinear elastic system. The trends found between small-amplitude vibration dynamic properties and past levels of maximum displacement in various reinforced concrete structures are reported. In addition to analytical and numerical studies, results from a series of laboratory tests are reported to demonstrate the use of the approach. One full-scale three-story reinforced concrete flat-plate building and six small-scale reinforced concrete beams were examined. In this study, small displacements are defined as displacements below an overall drift ratio of 0.03%. The displacement dependence of the dynamic properties is considered explicitly. It was found that while fundamental frequencies of the examined reinforced concrete specimens were found to decrease uniformly as past peak displacement level increased, the equivalent viscous damping ratio was found to increase until the past peak displacement reached the neighborhood of nominal yield displacement and then observed to decrease when the specimens are pushed beyond the nominal yield displacement level, which has not been reported in literature before. Recommendations are provided as to how small amplitude vibration tests should be set up to avoid misleading observations due to nonlinear response at small amplitude response, observations that could lead to erroneous conclusions regarding the damage state of a structure.  相似文献

This paper describes the non-linear identification of a progressively damaged reinforced concrete beam-column node. The aims are the detection and identification of the different sources of damping and their dependence from the damage level. To this end a specially formulated non-linear identification method is proposed, based on a time-varying polynomial approximation of the system dynamics, suitable for use in the presence of excitations of any form. A minimum condition imposed to the identified dissipated energy leads to the distinction of the linear viscous component from the other damping mechanisms. The estimated values obtained from the experimental tests show a significant influence of the damage level on the linear viscous damping coefficient. This suggests that, in a non-linear dynamic time-history analysis, the use of Rayleigh damping model with proportionality to the initial stiffness is basically in contrast with experimental evidence and more refined viscous damping models are needed for prediction purposes.  相似文献

震损结构的剩余荷载位移响应分析十分重要,是准确评估震后钢筋混凝土(RC)框架结构剩余性能的基础,然而震损结构损伤的不均匀分布为其荷载位移响应的定量分析带来了困难。本文基于纤维梁柱模型提出了一种能够考虑地震损伤不均匀分布的震损RC框架数值模型。基于震损RC框架的损伤现象对其损伤分布进行了量化,考虑了材料损伤沿柱高度与截面深度的分布;基于量化结果分别确定了RC框架中各纤维梁柱单元中不同位置处纤维的损伤本构关系,并对其剩余荷载位移响应进行了定量分析;以一个一榀三层四跨的RC框架试验为算例,对模型进行了验证。结果表明,本文模型能够较为准确地模拟震损RC框架的剩余荷载位移响应,其中最大剩余承载力、刚度和屈服强度等各项指标计算误差均值均在10%以下,因此本文模型能够为震后RC结构的评估工作提供一种新的思路。  相似文献

The structural dynamics behavior of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), which include moving, overhung, and compliant subcomponents, plays a pivotal role in determining their performance and reliability. Traditionally, experimental modal analysis is used to characterize the dynamic behavior of structures, as well as to derive, validate, update, and correct analytical and numerical models. Due to their small size, however, conventional modal testing methods cannot be directly applied to microstructures. In this paper we provide an overview of modal testing techniques for microsystems. A particular experimental modal analysis methodology that includes base excitation via a piezoelectric shaker and measurement through a laser interferometer is then described and evaluated. A distinguishing characteristic of the methodology is its simplicity, including its simple setup and off-the-shelf components. The modal model is derived for the base excitation of microcantilever beams. The effectiveness of the methodology is illustrated through various experiments on polysilicon microcantilevers for different geometries and ambient pressures. Analysis of the damping data for different pressures has confirmed the well-documented fact that the structural damping in microsystems can be considerably less than damping arising from interaction with the ambient gases.  相似文献

对结构健康监测研究中的结构损伤检测方法及其特点进行了介绍.从基于结构模态分析的方法和基于结构动态试验信号处理的方法两方面,阐述了结构健康监测中的损伤检测方法及其最新研究进展.基于结构模态分析的结构损伤检测方法是针对整个结构的检测,使用的模态都限于低阶模态范围内,所检测的结构应容易建立有限元模型,便于进行响应预测.基于结构动态试验信号处理的损伤检测方法通常是针对结构局部构件的损伤检测,不需要对结构进行有限元建模,而直接从测试的动态响应信号中提取表征结构损伤的特征参数.文中提出了对比性损伤检测方法和非对比性损伤检测方法的概念,并对结构损伤检测中常用的信息传感与处理技术进行了论述,指出了结构损伤检测研究中应该考虑的传感器布置问题.提出了将损伤信息的主动检测与被动检测相结合进行损伤程度判断和剩余寿命估计等问题是有待进一步深入研究的课题.   相似文献

The paper discusses the application of dynamic methods for damage detection in the main cables of suspension bridges, using data continuously recorded under wind excitation through permanent monitoring systems and automated operational modal analysis. A continuum model for predicting the vertical aeroelastic response of wind-excited damaged suspension bridges is formulated and presented at first. The model shows that, for a real sample bridge, typical variations of mean wind speed produce variations of natural frequencies, due to aeroelastic effects, that are more significant than those produced by a small damage. A possible solution to this issue, proposed in the paper, consists of removing the dependence on the excitation source by calculating frequency shifts considering frequencies, in reference and damaged states, associated to approximately the same mean wind speed. This task and the necessary estimation of frequency shifts through a statistical analysis of identified natural frequencies outline the need for a continuous dynamic monitoring. The analytical model is finally employed for generating dynamic wind response data that are successively processed by means of an advanced automated modal identification tool. Although based on the simplifications inherently contained in the analytical model, the results show that frequency shifts caused by a relatively small damage can be accurately estimated from response data recorded under wind excitation with a reasonable number of data sets.  相似文献

An accurate prediction for the response of civil and mechanical engineering structures subject to ambient excitation requires the information of dynamic properties of these structures including natural frequencies, damping ratios and mode shapes. Since the excitation force is not available as a measured signal, we need to develop techniques which are capable of accurately extracting the modal parameters from output-only data. This article presents the results of modal parameter identification using two time-domain methods as follows: the autoregressive moving average vector (ARMAV) method and the state–space method. These methods directly work with the recorded time signals and allow the analysis of structures where only the output is measured, while the input is unmeasured and unknown. The equivalence between ARMAV and state–space approaches for the problem of modal parameter identification of vibrating systems is shown in the article. Using only the singular value decomposition of a block Hankel matrix of sample covariances, it is shown that these two approaches give identical modal parameters in the case where the block Hankel matrix has full row rank. The time-domain modal identification algorithms have a serious problem of model order determination: when extracting structural modes these algorithms always generate spurious modes. A modal indicator to differentiate spurious and structural modes is presented. Numerical and experimental examples are given to show the effectiveness of the ARMAV or state–space approaches in modal parameter identification using response data only.  相似文献

采用近场动力学(Peridynamics,PD)方法对钢筋混凝土结构破坏过程进行模拟,在"键"型近场动力学模型的基础上,考虑物质点对间的转动以突破泊松比的限制,采用能够描述混凝土材料的拉压异性和断裂特征的损伤模型,引入动态松弛、分级加载、平衡收敛准则和冲击接触等算法,建立了能准确描述钢筋混凝土结构破坏的近场动力学模型。模拟了钢筋混凝土梁在不同荷载作用下破坏的全过程,裂纹扩展路径以及最终破坏形式均与试验结果吻合,为解决工程结构破坏问题提供了一种有效的方法。  相似文献

为研究高聚物牺牲包层对钢筋混凝土结构的爆炸毁伤缓解效应,开展了带高聚物牺牲包层钢筋混凝土板的接触爆炸试验,同时设置了普通钢筋混凝土板作为对照组,对比分析了高聚物牺牲包层对钢筋混凝土板毁伤特征的影响。此外,运用AUTODYN软件建立了现场爆炸试验的SPH-FEM耦合模型,通过与试验结果的对比,验证了所建耦合模型的可靠性。在此基础上,通过参数敏感性分析,探究了炸药量和高聚物牺牲包层密度、厚度对带高聚物牺牲包层钢筋混凝土板毁伤特性以及吸能特性的影响。结果表明:接触爆炸下,高聚物牺牲包层能够有效地分散爆炸荷载,缓解爆炸荷载对钢筋混凝土板的冲击作用,具有良好的防护性能;药量在一定范围内增大时,高聚物牺牲包层依然能维持较高的吸能水平,增大包层密度和厚度有利于增强高聚物牺牲包层的吸能特性,包层厚度的变化会造成被保护钢筋混凝土板毁伤模式的改变。  相似文献

Most of vibration-based damage detection methods require the modal properties that are obtained from measured signals through the system identification techniques. However, the modal properties such as natural frequencies and mode shapes are not such a good sensitive indication of structural damage. The wavelet packet transform (WPT) is a mathematical tool that has a special advantage over the traditional Fourier transform in analyzing non-stationary signals. It adopts redundant basis functions and hence can provide an arbitrary time-frequency resolution. In this study, a damage detection index called wavelet packet energy rate index (WPERI), is proposed for the damage detection of beam structures. The measured dynamic signals are decomposed into the wavelet packet components and the wavelet energy rate index is computed to indicate the structural damage. The proposed damage identification method is firstly illustrated with a simulated simply supported beam and the identified damage is satisfactory with assumed damage. Afterward, the method is applied to the tested steel beams with three damage scenarios in the laboratory. Despite the noise is present for real measurement data, the identified damage pattern is comparable with the tests. Both simulated and experimental studies demonstrated that the WPT-based energy rate index is a good candidate index that is sensitive to structural local damage.  相似文献

针对折叠舵面内、外舵铰接处存在的间隙对地面振动响应的影响及间隙处的非线性建模方法展开研究.消除间隙,利用锤击法对线性折叠舵面进行模态实验,得到了前五阶模态参数;打开间隙,进行振动台扫频基础激励,实验结果表明间隙的存在会使结构的动力学响应产生非线性现象,如正反向扫描差异、跳跃、多谐波及频率漂移.非线性的影响主要体现在一阶弯曲模态上,激励量级的增大和间隙的减小均会使基频增大,且逐渐趋向于无间隙的结果,但对第二阶扭转模态的影响与第一阶相比较小.建立了折叠舵面的有限元模型. 提出了一种适用于具有集中非线性的折叠机构的模型缩减方法,并对舵面进行了模态缩减.根据Hertz接触理论,用具有线性和3/2次刚度组合形式的非线性扭转弹簧来模拟铰接处的间隙和接触.通过比较锤击实验与数值计算得到的前四阶频率和振型对模型的线性部分进行验证.通过Bathe两子步隐式复合算法计算基础激励下非线性结构的动力学响应,得到的传递函数可以模拟实验中出现的频率变化特征,验证了连接处非线性建模方法的合理性.   相似文献

In ballasted railway tracks, one of the important components that supports the rails and distributes wheel/rail loading onto the ballast supporting formation is a railway sleeper (sometimes is also called a “railway tie”). This paper presents results of an experimental modal analysis of prestressed concrete sleepers in both free-free and in-situ conditions, incorporating the dynamic influence of sleeper/ballast interaction. Dynamic interaction between concrete sleepers and ballast support is crucial for the development of a dynamic model of railway track capable of predicting its responses to impact loads due to wheel flats, wheel burns, irregularities of the rail, etc. In this study, four types of prestressed concrete sleepers were in-kind provided by the Australian manufacturers. The concrete sleepers were tested using an impact hammer excitation technique over the frequency range of interest, 0–1600 Hz. Frequency response functions (FRFs) were measured using PULSE modal testing system. The FRFs were processed using STAR modal analysis package to identify natural frequencies and the corresponding mode shapes for the sleepers. The conclusions are presented about the effect of the sleeper/ballast interaction on the dynamic properties of prestressed concrete sleepers and their use for predicting railway track dynamic responses.  相似文献

在对结构健康监测中的传感器优化布置方法进行调研和总结的基础上,针对薄板、壳结构开展传感器优化布置的研究.提出了一种有效的传感器优化布置组合算法,由模态动能法、模态保证准则、遗传算法组合而成.该方法所得的传感器位置主要位于动态响应比较大区域,有利于提高信噪比;同时能够有效地保证模态振型的独立性,可以较完整地获得结构模态信息.针对这种组合算法的有效性采用简易机翼模型从数值计算和实验两方面进行了验证.  相似文献

本文以载荷分析为主要内容, 概述航天飞行器结构动力学研究的一些进展. 首先介绍航箭(航天器/运载火箭简称为航箭) 耦合系统载荷分析基本思想. 然后介绍以下3 个方面的载荷分析方法: (1) 采用基础激励理论初始载荷分析的近似方法; (2) 考虑航箭耦合影响的航天器/运载耦合系统分支模态综合法. 导出采用约束模态质量界面加速度的航天器载荷计算方法; 当仅考虑静定约束特殊情况时, 退化的方程与Chen 采用有限元法导出的方程相同. 给出新航天器载荷瞬态分析技术, 即一个以前的航天器/运载耦合系统载荷结果可以用来获得相同运载火箭发射一个新航天器结构的必要的载荷信息. (3) 考虑航箭耦合影响的航天器/运载耦合系统模态综合法. 包括: 固定界面模态综合法, 以及航天器/运载耦合的界面综合动态响应计算新方法. 最后, 介绍验证载荷分析技术. 简要讨论验证技术的重要性, 提出了采用试验与理论相结合的结构动态试验仿真技术,该方法包括了一套修正数学模型的新技术, 称之为子结构试验建模综合技术. 该方法已应用于复杂的结构建模. 在进行CZ-2E 运载火箭实尺模态试验之前, 用建议的模态试验仿真技术给出CZ-2E 模态参数的预示结果, 并与随后获得的实际模态试验结果相比, 两个结果彼此之间高度一致. 这个结果证明了模态试验仿真技术已成功地预示了CZ-2E 运载火箭的模态参数, 验证了建议的模态试验仿真技术的可靠性. 讨论了振动台振动试验仿真技术. 介绍了振动台振动试验仿真的几个关键技术. 包括: 有限元模型修正技术, 40 t 振动台系统台面控制仿真方法和D 卫星振动台振动试验仿真.   相似文献

利用改装的杆径为 74mm的直锥变截面式大尺寸Hopkinson压杆对混凝土材料进行冲击压缩实验 ,系统研究了混凝土的应变率硬化效应 ,采用一种新的方法损伤冻结法对混凝土材料在冲击载荷下的损伤软化效应进行了系统研究 ,给出了冲击载荷下混凝土的损伤演化方程 ;在对数据进行合理分析的基础上 ,结合粘弹性本构理论 ,得到混凝土材料的损伤型线性粘弹性本构关系。  相似文献

The low specific weight of composite materials, together with their excellent mechanical properties, make them suitable to be widely used in many modern engineering structures. However, composite materials are quite sensitive to impacts: a specific kind of damage, called Barely Visible Impact Damage (BVID), may occur, constituting an unsafe failure of difficult assessment. In the past few years several methods have been developed aiming at assessing this type of damage. In this paper, a vibration-based technique that combines both the natural frequencies and the modal damping factors as damage sensitive features is tested for locating impact damage in carbon fibre reinforced laminates. The method is intended to be used for locating damage in real laminated composite structures that undergo in-service impacts, such as an airplane??s fuselage or wings. Assessing a minimum of one response coordinate is the strict requirement during each inspection, because it uses the dynamic global parameters of the structure as damage features. This is possible because the method assumes that, at least for BVID, the mode shapes remain practically unchanged. The theory is summarized and the method is tested using experimental setups where damage is introduced at different locations. Additionally, the hypothesis that different damage morphologies on composite materials have different contributions to the damage features is addressed.  相似文献

Most structural health monitoring and damage detection strategies utilize dynamic response information to identify the existence, location, and magnitude of damage. Traditional model-based techniques seek to identify parametric changes in a linear dynamic model, while non-model-based techniques focus on changes in the temporal and frequency characteristics of the system response. Because restoring forces in base-excited structures can exhibit highly non-linear characteristics, non-linear model-based approaches may be better suited for reliable health monitoring and damage detection. This paper presents the application of a novel intelligent parameter varying (IPV) modeling and system identification technique, developed by the authors, to detect damage in base-excited structures. This IPV technique overcomes specific limitations of traditional model-based and non-model-based approaches, as demonstrated through comparative simulations with wavelet analysis methods. These simulations confirm the effectiveness of the IPV technique, and show that performance is not compromised by the introduction of realistic structural non-linearities and ground excitation characteristics.  相似文献

为得到接触爆炸下钢筋混凝土(reinforced concrete,RC)梁的局部破坏模式和毁伤效应,对同一尺寸的RC梁进行了不同装药量的接触爆炸试验研究。试验中采用框架结构中典型工程尺度RC原型梁为研究对象,通过4次爆炸试验,观测了RC梁在不同装药量下的局部破坏模式和破坏特征,分析了装药量对局部毁伤效应的影响。研究结果表明:接触爆炸荷载作用下,RC梁将发生正面成坑、侧面崩落、背面震塌和截面冲切等局部破坏模式,爆坑深度、震塌厚度、表面毁伤面积以及受压区纵筋变形均与装药量立方根近似呈线性增加关系。在试验数据基础上,将RC梁局部毁伤程度划分为轻度毁伤、中度毁伤、重度毁伤和严重毁伤4个等级,采用比例装药量判据进行评估。研究成果可为抗爆结构设计和结构毁伤评估提供理论依据。  相似文献
