The hypersonic flow of a laminar stream of viscous compressible gas past blunt axisyrametric bodies rotating about the longitudinal axis is considered. It is assumed that gas blows from the surface of the body. The solution of the problem is obtained by a finite-difference method in a wide range of Reynolds numbers and blowing and rotation parameters. Some results of the calculations characterizing the effect of the rotation on the velocity and temperature profiles across the shock layer, on the friction and heat transfer coefficients, and the shock wave separation are given for the neighborhood of the stagnation point. For large Reynolds numbers and strong blowing an analytic solution of the problem is found in an approximation of two inviscid layers separated by a contact surface. The calculations are made for the flow past a sphere and a paraboloid and it is shown that in the presence of rotation the maximum of the heat flux is shifted from the stagnation point onto the side surface of the body. The dependence of the pressure distribution, the heat flux, and the friction coefficient is investigated for cases of constant and variable blowing over the contour of the body.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 106–114, January–February, 1986.  相似文献

The problem of axisymmetric nonuniform gas flow past smooth blunt bodies at high Mach numbers is investigated. The approach stream is a parallel axisymmetric flow in which the velocity and temperature depend on the radial distance from the axis of symmetry and the pressure is constant. On the axis of symmetry the velocity has a minimum and the temperature a maximum. A characteristic feature of this flow is the existence of two qualitatively different flow regimes: separated [1-4], when in the shock layer on the front of the body there is a closed region of reverse-circulating flow, and unseparated [5, 6], when there is no such zone. In this study the case of unseparated flow is investigated. The equations of a thin viscous shock layer with generalized Rankine-Hugoniot conditions at the shock and boundary conditions on the body that take into account the supply of gas from the surface are solved numerically. The effect of the gas supply on the conditions of unseparated flow is analyzed in relation to the Reynolds number, and the critical values of the nonuniformity parameter a = ak [5] are obtained. It is shown that at high Reynolds numbers the supply of gas from the surface has practically no effect on ak, while at low and intermediate Reynolds numbers it reduces the region of unseparated flow. For high Reynolds numbers and an intense supply of gas from the surface an asymptotic solution of the problem is obtained for the neighborhood of the stagnation point. This is compared with the numerical solution.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 122–129, July–August, 1988.The authors wish to thank G. A. The laws of heat transfer associated with the interaction of underexpanded supersonic gas jets and obstacles or blunt bodies have been investigated, for example, in [1–3]. Similar problems of nonuniform flow occur when bodies move in the wake behind other bodies; however, in this case the laws of heat transfer have so far received little attention [4–8]. It has been established that for a certain Reynolds number and flow nonuniformity parameters a zone of reverse-circulatory flow develops near the front of the blunt body. However, the conditions of transition to separated flow have not been determined. This paper presents a self-similar solution of the equations of the viscous shock layer near the stagnation line in supersonic flow past an axisymmetric blunt body located behind another body. On the basis of this solution a separationless flow criterion is proposed. The effect of the nonuniformity and the Reynolds number on the shock standoff distance, the convective heat flux and the friction drag of the blunt body is investigated. Supersonic viscous homogeneous gas flow past axisymmetric smooth nonpointed bodies is analyzed numerically for widely varying Mach and Reynolds numbers and flow geometry. The initial equations of a viscous shock layer are solved by the stabilization method. The effect of the determining parameters on the flow character and the heat transfer distribution along the surface is analyzed. The accuracy and domain of applicability of several approximate approaches to the solution of the problem are estimated. Tomsk. We consider the problem of a hypersonic viscous flow of a nonreactive mixture of ideal gases around smooth thick bodies in the framework of a two-layer model of a thin shock layer for moderately small Reynolds numbers. We investigate the effect of blowing of a foreign gas through a permeable surface in the bow region of a spherical blunt body. We introduce a transformation of variables that gives a number of important advantages in the numerical solution of the problem under consideration. The problem of mass blowing from the surface of a body into a boundary layer has an extensive literature. The effect of blowing for moderately small Reynolds numbers has been considerably less studied [1–5], and in the majority of papers on this question either the critical point of a blunt body or the blowing of a gas homogeneous with the gas in the incoming flow is investigated.Moscow. Unseparated viscous gas flow past a body is numerically investigated within the framework of the theory of a thin viscous shock layer [13–15]. The equations of the hypersonic viscous shock layer with generalized Rankine-Hugoniot conditions at the shock wave are solved by a finite-difference method [16] over a broad interval of Reynolds numbers and values of the temperature factor and nonuniformity parameters. Calculation results characterizing the effect of free-stream nonuniformity on the velocity and temperature profiles across the shock layer, the friction and heat transfer coefficients and the shock wave standoff distance are presented. The unseparated flow conditions are investigated and the critical values of the nonuniformity parameter ak [10] at which reverse-circulatory zones develop on the front of the body are obtained as a function of the Reynolds number. The calculations are compared with the asymptotic solutions [10, 12].Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 154–159, May–June, 1987.  相似文献

The results of a numerical investigation of the effect of thermal energy supply on a swirling viscous heat-conducting gas flow in a subsonic cocurrent stream are presented. The initial stage of development of the swirling flow in the neighborhood of the vortex axis with constant circulation in the outer flow region is considered for two different distributions of the streamwise velocity vector component which simulate a swirling jet-type flow and a wake flow with a streamwise velocity deficit. The effect of local volume energy supply in the neighborhood of the vortex axis, the circulation of the azimuthal velocity component, and the longitudinal pressure gradient in the inviscid stream on the development of the swirling flow and the process of breakdown of cocurrent vortex flows is investigated. Unsteady supersonic flow regimes in the neighborhood of a stagnation point are investigated on the basis of a system of viscous shock layer equations [10] containing all the terms of the Euler equations and the boundary layer equations. An analytic solution of the unsteady equations valid near the surface of the body is found in the case of strong injection. The unsteady equations of the viscous shock layer are solved numerically on the basis of a divergent implicit scheme of the second order of approximation across the shock layer, using Newtonian linearization and vector sweep methods with allowance for the boundary relations on the surface of the body and at the isolated bow shock. Certain calculation results illustrating the effect of injection, surface cooling, the swirl of the external flow and the angular velocity of the body on the structure of the steady and unsteady viscous shock layer are presented.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 114–122, September–October, 1987.  相似文献

The results of calculating the stability of a three-dimensional swirl flow of a viscous heat-conducting gas are presented. The stability characteristics are determined using the linear time-dependent theory of plane-parallel flow stability. The main undisturbed axisymmetric vortex flow was determined numerically using a quasi-cylindrical approximation for the complete set of Navier-Stokes equations. The circulation of the peripheral velocity in the cocurrent flow surrounding the viscous vortex core was assumed to be constant. In analyzing the stability, nonaxisymmetric perturbations in the shape of waves traveling along the vortex axis with both positive and negative wavenumbers were considered; in these two cases the perturbation rotation is either the same or opposite in sense to the rotation in the vortex core. Neutral stability curves are determined for various values of the swirling parameter and the cocurrent flow Mach number. Moscow. Hypersonic three-dimensional viscous rarefied gas flow past blunt bodies is investigated in the neighborhood of the stagnation point. The problem of applicability of the model of a thin viscous shock layer to the regime of transition from continuum to free-molecular flow is considered. In [1], it was shown that at low Reynolds numbers three hypersonic flow regimes can be distinguished and one of those regimes was investigated. In the present study an asymptotic solution of the thin viscous shock layer equations is obtained for another flow regime. With decrease in the Reynolds number the heat transfer coefficient determined by the solution obtained approaches its free-molecular value and the friction coefficient approaches its free-molecular limit, provided that the shock layer thickness is small. The analytical solution is compared with a numerical solution and the results of calculations based on direct Monte Carlo simulation.  相似文献

In the framework of the approximation of local similarity to the Navier-Stokes equations, an investigation is made of the axisymmetric flow of homogeneous gas in a hypersonic shock layer, this including the region of transition through the shock wave. Boundary conditions, which take into account blowing of gas, are specified on the surface of the body and in the undisturbed flow. A numerical solution to the problem is obtained in a wide range of variation of the Reynolds number and the blowing parameter. Expressions are found for the dependences on the blowing parameter usually employed in boundary layer theory of the coefficients of friction and heat transfer on the surface of the body, which are divided by their values obtained for blowing parameter equal to zero. It is shown that these dependences are universal and the same as the dependences obtained from the solution of the equations of a hypersonic viscous shock layer with modified Rankin-Hugoniot relations across the shock wave and from the solution of the boundary layer equations.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 199–202, January–February, 1980.  相似文献

In the framework of the locally self-similar approximation of the Navier-Stokes equations an investigation is made of the flow of homogeneous gas in a hypersonic viscous shock layer, including the transition region through the shock wave, on wings of infinite span with rounded leading edge. The neighborhood of the stagnation line is considered. The boundary conditions, which take into account blowing or suction of gas, are specified on the surface of the body and in the undisturbed flow. A method of numerical solution of the problem proposed by Gershbein and Kolesnikov [1] and generalized to the case of flow past wings at different angles of slip is used. A solution to the problem is found in a wide range of variation of the Reynolds numbers, the blowing (suction) parameter, and the angle of slip. Flow past wings with rounded leading edge at different angles of slip has been investigated earlier only in the framework of the boundary layer equations (see, for example, [2], which gives a brief review of early studies) or a hypersonic viscous shock layer [3].Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 150–154, May–June, 1984.  相似文献

A study is made of the flow of a viscous compressible gas in a hypersonic shock layer on sweptback wings of infinite span with blunt leading edge at different angles of attack. The equations of the hypersonic viscous shock layer with modified Rankine-Hugoniot relations across the shock wave and boundary conditions on the surface of the body that take into account slip and discontinuity of the temperature are solved by a method of successive approximation which yields not only an analytic solution for the first approximations but also an exact numerical solution when the method is implemented on a computer. The analytic solution of the problem is found in the first approximation. Expressions are obtained for the coefficients of friction and heat transfer on the surface of the body, and also for the profiles of the velocities and the temperature across the shock layer. Comparison of the analytic solution with the numerical solution reveals a satisfactory accuracy of the analytic solution for not too large Reynolds numbers.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 91–102, March–April, 1979.We thank G. The method of force sources is used to consider the planar problem of the motion of a circular cylinder in a viscous electroconductive medium with a magnetic field. The conventional and magnetic Reynolds numbers are assumed to be small. Expressions are obtained for the hydrodynamic reaction forces of the medium, acting on the moving cylinder. It is shown that as a result of the flow anisotropy in the medium, caused by the magnetic field, in addition to the resistance forces on bodies moving at an angle to the field, there are deflecting forces perpendicular to the velocity vector. The velocity field disturbances at great distances from the moving cylinder are determined. The problems of viscous electroconductive flow about solid bodies in the presence of a magnetic field constitute one of the divisions of magnetohydrodynamics. Motion of an electroconductive medium in a magnetic field gives rise to inductive electromagnetic fields and currents which interact with the velocity and pressure hydrodynamic fields in the medium [1, 2]. Under conditions of sufficiently strong interaction, the number of independent flow similarity parameters in MHD is considerably greater than in conventional hydrodynamics. This circumstance complicates the theoretical analysis of MHD flow about bodies, and therefore we must limit ourselves to consideration of individual particular flow cases. Here we consider the linear problem of the motion of an infinite circular cylinder in a viscous incompressible medium with finite electroconductivity located in a uniform magnetic field. There are many studies devoted to the flow of a viscous electroconductive medium with a magnetic field about solid bodies (see, for example, [3–5]). Because of this, some of the results obtained here include previously known results, which will be indicated below. In contrast to the cited studies, the examination is made by the method of force sources, suggested in [6]. This method permits obtaining integral equations for the distribution of the forces acting on the surface of the moving body. Their solution is obtained for small Reynolds and Hartmann numbers. Then the nature of the velocity disturbances at great distances from the body are determined. These results are compared with conventional viscous flow about a cylinder in the Oseen approximation.  相似文献

A study is made of hypersonic three-dimensional flow of a viscous gas past blunt bodies at low and moderate Reynolds numbers with allowance for the effects of slip and a jump of the temperature across the surface. The equations of the three-dimensional viscous shock layer are solved by an integral method of successive approximation and a finite-difference method in the neighborhood of the stagnation point. In the first approximation of the method an analytic solution to the problem is found. Analysis of the obtained solution leads to the proposal of a simple formula by means of which the calculation of the heat flux to a three-dimensional stagnation point is reduced to the calculation of the heat flux to an axisymmetric stagnation point. A formula for the relative heat flux obtained by generalizing Cheng's well-known formula [1] is given. The accuracy and range of applicability of the obtained expressions are estimated by comparing the analytic and numerical solutions. Three-dimensional problems of the theory of a supersonic viscous shock layer at small Reynolds numbers were considered earlier in [2–5] in a similar formulation but without allowance for the effects of slip.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 143–150, March–April, 1988.  相似文献

Turbulent flows past blunt bodies at high supersonic speeds are mainly investigated within the framework of the boundary layer model. However, even at large Reynolds numbers owing to the strong entropy gradient on the lateral surface it becomes necessary to take boundary layer corrections into account in the higher approximations [1]. The use of viscous shock layer theory makes it possible to obtain fairly accurate results over a broad interval of variation of the Reynolds numbers without organizing iterations with respect to vorticity and displacement thickness. The nonequilibrium nature of both homogeneous and heterogeneous catalytic reactions is taken into account. The results obtained are compared with the experimental data [2, 3]. Previously, in [4, 5] turbulent flow was investigated within the framework of viscous shock layer theory in the case of equilibrium homogeneous reactions.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 144–149, March–April, 1989.  相似文献

A method of solving three-dimensional flow problems with the aid of two-dimensional solutions, which can be used for any Reynolds numbers, is proposed. The method is based on the use of similarity relations obtained in the theoretical analysis of the approximate analytic solution of the equations of a three-dimensional viscous shock layer. These relations express the heat flux and the friction stress on the lateral surface of a three-dimensional body in terms of the values on the surface of an axisymmetric body. The accuracy is estimated by comparing the results with those of a numerical finite-difference calculation of the flow past bodies of various shapes. Similar similarity relations were previously obtained in [1] for the plane of symmetry of a blunt body.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 111–118, November–December, 1991.The authors are grateful to G. It is shown that the concept of a viscous shock layer with boundary conditions specified in a thin shock wave is unsuitable for analyzing the flow of a chemically reacting gas, even in the case of high Reynolds numbers; it may produce a finite error when determining the parameters of the shock layer.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 175–178, September–October, 1973.  相似文献
