The combined influence of unsteady effects and free-stream nonuniformity on the variation of the flow structure near the stagnation line and the mechanical and thermal surface loads is investigated within the framework of the thin viscous shock layer model with reference to the example of the motion of blunt bodies at constant velocity through a plane temperature inhomogeneity. The dependence of the friction and heat transfer coefficients on the Reynolds number, the shape of the body and the parameters of the temperature inhomogeneity is analyzed. A number of properties of the flow are established on the basis of numerical solutions obtained over a broad range of variation of the governing parameters. By comparing the solutions obtained in the exact formulation with the calculations made in the quasisteady approximation the region of applicability of the latter is determined. In a number of cases of the motion of a body at supersonic speed in nonuniform media it is necessary to take into account the effect of the nonstationarity of the problem on the flow parameters. In particular, as the results of experiments [1] show, at Strouhal numbers of the order of unity the unsteady effects are important in the problem of the motion of a body through a temperature inhomogeneity. In a number of studies the nonstationary effect associated with supersonic motion in nonuniform media has already been investigated theoretically. In [2] the Euler equations were used, while in [3–5] the equations of a viscous shock layer were used; moreover, whereas in [3–4] the solution was limited to the neighborhood of the stagnation line, in [5] it was obtained for the entire forward surface of a sphere. The effect of free-stream nonuniformity on the structure of the viscous shock layer in steady flow past axisymmetric bodies was studied in [6, 7] and for certain particular cases of three-dimensional flow in [8–11].Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 175–180, May–June, 1990.  相似文献

The problem of axisymmetric nonuniform gas flow past smooth blunt bodies at high Mach numbers is investigated. The approach stream is a parallel axisymmetric flow in which the velocity and temperature depend on the radial distance from the axis of symmetry and the pressure is constant. On the axis of symmetry the velocity has a minimum and the temperature a maximum. A characteristic feature of this flow is the existence of two qualitatively different flow regimes: separated [1-4], when in the shock layer on the front of the body there is a closed region of reverse-circulating flow, and unseparated [5, 6], when there is no such zone. In this study the case of unseparated flow is investigated. The equations of a thin viscous shock layer with generalized Rankine-Hugoniot conditions at the shock and boundary conditions on the body that take into account the supply of gas from the surface are solved numerically. The effect of the gas supply on the conditions of unseparated flow is analyzed in relation to the Reynolds number, and the critical values of the nonuniformity parameter a = ak [5] are obtained. It is shown that at high Reynolds numbers the supply of gas from the surface has practically no effect on ak, while at low and intermediate Reynolds numbers it reduces the region of unseparated flow. For high Reynolds numbers and an intense supply of gas from the surface an asymptotic solution of the problem is obtained for the neighborhood of the stagnation point. This is compared with the numerical solution.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 122–129, July–August, 1988.The authors wish to thank G. A. In the framework of the locally self-similar approximation of the Navier-Stokes equations an investigation is made of the flow of homogeneous gas in a hypersonic viscous shock layer, including the transition region through the shock wave, on wings of infinite span with rounded leading edge. The neighborhood of the stagnation line is considered. The boundary conditions, which take into account blowing or suction of gas, are specified on the surface of the body and in the undisturbed flow. A method of numerical solution of the problem proposed by Gershbein and Kolesnikov [1] and generalized to the case of flow past wings at different angles of slip is used. A solution to the problem is found in a wide range of variation of the Reynolds numbers, the blowing (suction) parameter, and the angle of slip. Flow past wings with rounded leading edge at different angles of slip has been investigated earlier only in the framework of the boundary layer equations (see, for example, [2], which gives a brief review of early studies) or a hypersonic viscous shock layer [3].Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 150–154, May–June, 1984.  相似文献

Turbulent flows past blunt bodies at high supersonic speeds are mainly investigated within the framework of the boundary layer model. However, even at large Reynolds numbers owing to the strong entropy gradient on the lateral surface it becomes necessary to take boundary layer corrections into account in the higher approximations [1]. The use of viscous shock layer theory makes it possible to obtain fairly accurate results over a broad interval of variation of the Reynolds numbers without organizing iterations with respect to vorticity and displacement thickness. The nonequilibrium nature of both homogeneous and heterogeneous catalytic reactions is taken into account. The results obtained are compared with the experimental data [2, 3]. Previously, in [4, 5] turbulent flow was investigated within the framework of viscous shock layer theory in the case of equilibrium homogeneous reactions.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 144–149, March–April, 1989.  相似文献

Several theoretical and experimental studies of supersonic flow past a blunt body located in the wake behind another body have been made [1–7]. It has been shown that a reverse-circulation flow can occur in the shock layer at the front surface. The possibility of such a flow forming depends on the nonuniformity of the freestream flow and the Reynolds number. This paper presents new results of the theoretical study of the structure of the shock wave at the front surface of such a sphere, obtained on the basis of numerical solution of Navier-Stokes equations. It is shown that for a fixed nonuniformity of the freestream flow, an increase in the Reynolds number and cooling of the surface of the body lead to the formation of a secondary vortex in the region where the contour of the body intersects the axis of symmetry. A study is made of the variations of the drag and heat transfer parameters over the front surface of a cooled and thermally insulated sphere. The possibility of numerical simulation of the flow on the basis of the Euler equations is discussed.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 143–148, May–June, 1985.  相似文献

In the framework of the theory of a hypersonic viscous shock layer [1] with modified Rankine-Hugoniot relations [2] at the shock wave a study is made of flow past wings of infinite span with a rounded leading edge. A numerical solution to the problem has been obtained in a wide range of variation of the Reynolds number (5–106), the blowing-suction parameter, the angle of attack (0–45 °), and the angle of slip (0–70 °). Data are given on the influence of the angle of slip on the profiles of the temperature and the velocity across the shock layer. A study is made of the dependence of the distributions of the pressure, the heat flux, and the friction coefficients along the surface of the body on the blowing-suction parameter and the angles of attack and slip.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 104–108, March–April, 1984.  相似文献

The laws of heat transfer associated with the interaction of underexpanded supersonic gas jets and obstacles or blunt bodies have been investigated, for example, in [1–3]. Similar problems of nonuniform flow occur when bodies move in the wake behind other bodies; however, in this case the laws of heat transfer have so far received little attention [4–8]. It has been established that for a certain Reynolds number and flow nonuniformity parameters a zone of reverse-circulatory flow develops near the front of the blunt body. However, the conditions of transition to separated flow have not been determined. This paper presents a self-similar solution of the equations of the viscous shock layer near the stagnation line in supersonic flow past an axisymmetric blunt body located behind another body. On the basis of this solution a separationless flow criterion is proposed. The effect of the nonuniformity and the Reynolds number on the shock standoff distance, the convective heat flux and the friction drag of the blunt body is investigated. Three-dimensional dissociating air flow past blunt bodies is investigated within the framework of the parabolized Navier-Stokes equations in the thin layer approximation. Multicomponent diffusion, barodiffusion and homogeneous chemical reactions, including dissociation-recombination and exchange reactions, are taken into account. The boundary conditions are assigned in the free stream and at the surface of the body with allowance for heterogeneous catalytic reactions and slip effects. The problem of flow at zero angle of attack past blunt bodies possessing two planes of symmetry is investigated numerically for flow patterns varying from smeared layer structure to almost ideal flow (Re=50-105). The flow conditions corresponded to the motion of a body with lift along a re-entry trajectory [1]. The contribution of the chemical reactions in the shock wave as compared to the diffusion flux at the edge of the shock wave was estimated. The edge of the shock wave is assumed to correspond to the point at which the density profile has the greatest slope. The influence of slip effects and barodiffusion on the flow characteristics is demonstrated. The results of the calculations are compared with calculations based on the thin viscous shock layer model [2].Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 143–150, September–October, 1987.The author wishes to express his thanks to G. A numerical investigation is carried out within the framework of the multicomponent total viscous shock layer model [6, 7], according to which when Re 100 the flow near a blunt body can be divided into a shock wave zone and a viscous shock layer. At the inner edge of the shock wave the generalized Rankine-Hugoniot relations are imposed, and in the shock layer the complete system of viscous shock layer equations is solved with allowance for vibrational relaxation and nonequilibrium dissociation and ionization reactions.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 141–151, May–June, 1990.  相似文献

Unsteady supersonic flow regimes in the neighborhood of a stagnation point are investigated on the basis of a system of viscous shock layer equations [10] containing all the terms of the Euler equations and the boundary layer equations. An analytic solution of the unsteady equations valid near the surface of the body is found in the case of strong injection. The unsteady equations of the viscous shock layer are solved numerically on the basis of a divergent implicit scheme of the second order of approximation across the shock layer, using Newtonian linearization and vector sweep methods with allowance for the boundary relations on the surface of the body and at the isolated bow shock. Certain calculation results illustrating the effect of injection, surface cooling, the swirl of the external flow and the angular velocity of the body on the structure of the steady and unsteady viscous shock layer are presented.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 114–122, September–October, 1987.  相似文献

A study is made of hypersonic three-dimensional flow of a viscous gas past blunt bodies at low and moderate Reynolds numbers with allowance for the effects of slip and a jump of the temperature across the surface. The equations of the three-dimensional viscous shock layer are solved by an integral method of successive approximation and a finite-difference method in the neighborhood of the stagnation point. In the first approximation of the method an analytic solution to the problem is found. Analysis of the obtained solution leads to the proposal of a simple formula by means of which the calculation of the heat flux to a three-dimensional stagnation point is reduced to the calculation of the heat flux to an axisymmetric stagnation point. A formula for the relative heat flux obtained by generalizing Cheng's well-known formula [1] is given. The accuracy and range of applicability of the obtained expressions are estimated by comparing the analytic and numerical solutions. Three-dimensional problems of the theory of a supersonic viscous shock layer at small Reynolds numbers were considered earlier in [2–5] in a similar formulation but without allowance for the effects of slip.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 143–150, March–April, 1988.  相似文献

In the framework of the approximation of local similarity to the Navier-Stokes equations, an investigation is made of the axisymmetric flow of homogeneous gas in a hypersonic shock layer, this including the region of transition through the shock wave. Boundary conditions, which take into account blowing of gas, are specified on the surface of the body and in the undisturbed flow. A numerical solution to the problem is obtained in a wide range of variation of the Reynolds number and the blowing parameter. Expressions are found for the dependences on the blowing parameter usually employed in boundary layer theory of the coefficients of friction and heat transfer on the surface of the body, which are divided by their values obtained for blowing parameter equal to zero. It is shown that these dependences are universal and the same as the dependences obtained from the solution of the equations of a hypersonic viscous shock layer with modified Rankin-Hugoniot relations across the shock wave and from the solution of the boundary layer equations.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 199–202, January–February, 1980.  相似文献

A method of solving three-dimensional flow problems with the aid of two-dimensional solutions, which can be used for any Reynolds numbers, is proposed. The method is based on the use of similarity relations obtained in the theoretical analysis of the approximate analytic solution of the equations of a three-dimensional viscous shock layer. These relations express the heat flux and the friction stress on the lateral surface of a three-dimensional body in terms of the values on the surface of an axisymmetric body. The accuracy is estimated by comparing the results with those of a numerical finite-difference calculation of the flow past bodies of various shapes. Similar similarity relations were previously obtained in [1] for the plane of symmetry of a blunt body.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 111–118, November–December, 1991.The authors are grateful to G. Within the framework of the theory of a hypersonic viscous shock layer a study is made of flow round wings of infinite span with blunt leading edges at various angles of attack and slip. Account is taken of multicomponent diffusion, and homogeneous chemical reactions, including dissociation-recombination reactions and exchange reactions. On the shock wave the generalized Rankine-Hugoniot conditions are given, and on the surface of the body conditions which allow for heterogeneous catalytic reactions of the first order with reaction rate constants depending [1] or not depending [2] on the temperature. The cases of an ideally catalytic and a noncatalytic surface are also considered. The surface of the body is assumed to be heatinsulated. A numerical study was made of the problem in a broad range of variation in the angles of attack and slip for different cases of prescribed constants representing the rates of the heterogeneous reactions. The conditions of the flow corresponded to the motion of a body which possess a lifting force along the trajectory of entry into the Earth's atmosphere [3]. The dependences are given of the equilibrium temperature of the surface along the stagnation line of the wing on the height of the flight and the distribution of this temperature along the surface of wings with parabolic and hyperbolic contours. It is shown that for flow regimes with a relatively high degree of dissociation in cases when the proportion of atoms recombined on the surface of the body is small, the dependences of the heat flow and the temperature of the surface on the angle of slip are of a nonmonotonic nature.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhldkosti i Gaza., No. 6, pp. 127–135, November–December, 1984.  相似文献

Investigations of the stability of a subsonic laminar boundary layer have shown that, other things being equal, the stability of the laminar flow is considerably improved by cooling the entire surface of the body to a constant temperature Tw=const lower than the temperature of the free stream [1–3]. This is attributable to an increase in the critical Reynolds number of loss of stability and a decrease in the range of unstable perturbations of the Tollmien-Schlichting wave type when the surface is cooled. Recently, in the course of investigating the stability of laminar flow over a flat plate it was found [4, 5] that a similar improvement in flow stability can be achieved by raising the temperature of a small part of the surface near the leading edge of the plate. In this study we examine the possibility of delaying the transition to turbulent flow by creating a nonuniform temperature distribution along the surface of thin profiles, where the development of an adverse pressure gradient in the outer flow has a destabilizing effect on the boundary layer.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 36–42, September–October, 1986.In conclusion, the authors wish to thank M. The hypersonic flow of a laminar stream of viscous compressible gas past blunt axisyrametric bodies rotating about the longitudinal axis is considered. It is assumed that gas blows from the surface of the body. The solution of the problem is obtained by a finite-difference method in a wide range of Reynolds numbers and blowing and rotation parameters. Some results of the calculations characterizing the effect of the rotation on the velocity and temperature profiles across the shock layer, on the friction and heat transfer coefficients, and the shock wave separation are given for the neighborhood of the stagnation point. For large Reynolds numbers and strong blowing an analytic solution of the problem is found in an approximation of two inviscid layers separated by a contact surface. The calculations are made for the flow past a sphere and a paraboloid and it is shown that in the presence of rotation the maximum of the heat flux is shifted from the stagnation point onto the side surface of the body. The dependence of the pressure distribution, the heat flux, and the friction coefficient is investigated for cases of constant and variable blowing over the contour of the body.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 106–114, January–February, 1986.  相似文献

At fairly high Reynolds numbers instability may develop on the line of attachment of the potential flow to the leading edge of a swept wing and lead to a transition to boundary layer turbulence directly at the leading edge [1, 2]. Although the first results relating to the stability and transition of laminar flow at the leading edge of swept wings were obtained almost 30 years ago, the problem remains topical. The stability of the swept attachment line boundary layer was recently investigated numerically with allowance for compressibility effects [3, 4]. Below we examine the effect of surface temperature on the stability characteristics of the laminar viscous heat-conducting gas flow at the leading edge of a side slipping wing.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 78–82, November–December, 1990.  相似文献

The authors consider the problem of supersonic unsteady flow of an inviscid stream containing shock waves round blunt shaped bodies. Various approaches are possible for solving this problem. The parameters in the shock layer on the axis of symmetry have been determined in [1, 2] by using one-dimensional theory. The authors of [3, 4] studied shock wave diffraction on a moving end plane and wedge, respectively, by the through calculation method. This method for studying flow around a wedge with attached shock was also used in [5]. But that study, unlike [4], used self-similar variables, and so was able to obtain a clearer picture of the interaction. The present study gives results of research into the diffraction of a plane shock wave on a body in supersonic motion with the separation of a bow shock. The solution to the problem was based on the grid characteristic method [6], which has been used successfully to solve steady and unsteady problems [7–10]. However a modification of the method was developed in order to improve the calculation of flows with internal discontinuities; this consisted of adopting the velocity of sound and entropy in place of enthalpy and pressure as the unknown thermodynamic parameters. Numerical calculations have shown how effective this procedure is in solving the present problem. The results are given for flow round bodies with spherical and flat (end plane) ends for various different values of the velocities of the bodies and the shock waves intersected by them. The collision and overtaking interactions are considered, and there is a comparison with the experimental data.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 141–147, September–October, 1984.  相似文献

It is shown that the concept of a viscous shock layer with boundary conditions specified in a thin shock wave is unsuitable for analyzing the flow of a chemically reacting gas, even in the case of high Reynolds numbers; it may produce a finite error when determining the parameters of the shock layer.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 175–178, September–October, 1973.  相似文献

In a number of cases of supersonic flow past bodies with recesses pulsations in the flow arise [1–3]. Experiments [4, 5] indicate that stabilization of the steady supersonic flow past the body with a recess on which a shock wave is incident takes place after a series of oscillations of the bow wave. Numerical calculation of the interaction of a supersonic jet with a cylindrical cavity [6] reveals that damped pressure pulsations arise inside the cavity if the jet is homogeneous, and undamped pulsations it is inhomogeneous. The authors explain the damping of the pulsations by the influence of artificial viscosity. This paper investigates experimentally and theoretically (by numerical methods) the oscillations of the bow shock wave and the parameters of the flow behind it in the case of unsteady reflection of a shock wave from a body with a cylindrical recess turned towards the flow. The problem is posed as follows. A plane shock wave with constant parameters impinges on a cylinder with a cavity. The unsteady flow originating from this interaction is investigated.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 199–202, September–October, 1984.  相似文献
