This paper presents an analysis of buckling/snapping, bending and post-buckling/snapping behaviors of magneto-elastic–plastic interaction and coupling for soft ferromagnetic beam-plates with geometrically nonlinear deformation and unmovable simple supports at the ends of the plates. Based on the expression of magnetic force from the variational principle of ferromagnetic plates, the theory of thin plates with the nonlinear deformation of van Karman’s type, and the Mises yield criterion and the increment theory for plastic deformation, here, we establish a numerical code to quantitatively simulate the behaviors of the nonlinearly multi-coupling problems by the finite element method. Along with that the phenomena of buckling, bending, and post-buckling/snapping, or the characteristic curve of deflection versus magnitude of applied magnetic fields are numerically displayed, the critical values of buckling/snapping and yield magnetic fields, and the expansibility of plastic region after the plates undergo plastic deformation with increasing of the applied magnetic fields, as well as the evolvement of deflection configuration of the plate are numerically obtained in a case study.  相似文献

In this paper, the magnetic-elastic-plastic deformation behavior is studied for a ferromagnetic plate with simple supports. The perturbation formula of magnetic force is first derived based on the perturbation technique, and is then applied to the analysis of deformation characteristics with emphasis laid on the analyses of modes, symmetry of deformation and influences of incident angle of applied magnetic field on the plate deformation. The theoretical analyses offer explanations why the configuration offer- romagnetic rectangular plate with simple supports under an oblique magnetic field is in-wavy type along the x-direction, and why the largest deformation of the ferromagnetic plate occurs at the incident angle of 45°for the magnetic field. A numerical code based on the finite element method is developed to simulate quantitatively behaviors of the nonlinearly coupled multi-field problem. Some characteristic curves are plotted to illustrate the magneto--elastic-plastic deflections, and to reveal how the deflections can be influenced by the incident angle of applied magnetic field. The deformation characteristics obtained from the numerical simulations are found in good agreement with the theoretical analyses.  相似文献

基于广义变分原理得到的磁力计算公式,采用塑性增量理论,Mises屈服准则和有效的增量有限元计算方法,研究了线性强化材料铁磁矩形板的磁弹塑性弯曲行为。在文中定量模拟了铁磁简支矩形板在外加磁场作用下的挠度特征曲线,铁磁板发生塑性变形时的构型图和不同外加磁场下的中截面构型,以及铁磁板在卸载后的残余挠度特征曲线等力学特征,分析了塑性区域随磁场增加而扩展的情况。数值结果表明:当铁磁矩形板上的部分区域发生塑性屈服后,其变形明显大于相同磁场条件下铁磁板发生的弹性变形值;且随着外加磁场倾角的增大(0°<α≤45°),铁磁板进入塑性屈服状态的临界屈服磁场值减小;铁磁板的中截面构形为双半波型,其塑性区域由铁磁板两侧挠度最大的区域向板的中心区域扩展,板的中心最后进入塑性区域等。  相似文献

This paper attempts to investigate the buckling and post-buckling behaviors of piezoelectric nanoplate based on the nonlocal Mindlin plate model and von Karman geometric nonlinearity. An external electric voltage and a uniform temperature rise are applied on the piezoelectric nanoplate. Both the uniaxial and biaxial mechanical compression forces will be considered in the buckling and post-buckling analysis. By substituting the energy functions into the equation of the minimum total potential energy principle,the governing equations are derived directly, and then discretized through the differential quadrature(DQ) method. The buckling and post-buckling responses of piezoelectric nanoplates are calculated by employing a direct iterative method under different boundary conditions. The numerical results are presented to show the influences of different factors including the nonlocal parameter, electric voltage,and temperature rise on the buckling and post-buckling responses.  相似文献

A general theory of finite deformation of soft ferromagnetic elastic solids is formulated following the linear theory developed earlier by Pao and Yeh. The constitutive equations, field equations, and the boundary conditions of this theory are applied to analyse the buckling of a plate under the action of a uniform magnetic field. A nontrivial equilibrium configuration for the deformed plate is shown to exist, and the critical value of the externally applied magnetic induction at which the plate buckles is determined. It is demonstrated that the non-linear deformation affects the critical magnetic induction considerably.  相似文献

While studies of post-buckling behavior and load-carrying capacities of thin plates subjected to uniaxial compression have been limited to stable conditions, further post-buckling loading generates an unstable condition. The secondary buckling which occurs with snap-through to higher-order deflections under such unstable conditions has not been analyzed in detail as yet. In the first part of this paper, a thin square plate under uniaxial compression, which is simply supported along four edges, is considered. A method based on the second variation of the total potential energy is then proposed for evaluating the stability of the post-buckling equilibrium state and inevitable secondary buckling is derived analytically. The effects of various factors, such as initial imperfections, assumed virtual displacement pattern, post-buckling deflection pattern and in-plane boundary conditions, on the secondary buckling values are discussed. In part 2, secondary buckling of clamped plates is analyzed by use of the finite element method and the resultant numerical results are compared with experimental results.  相似文献

Out-of-plane buckling of anisotropic elastic plate subjected to a simple shear is investigated. From exact 3-D equilibrium conditions of anisotropic elastic body with a plane of elastic symmetry at critical configuration, the eqution for buckling direction (buckling wave direction) parameter is derived and the shape functions of possible buckling modes are obtained. The traction free boundary conditions which must hold on the upper and lower surfaces of plate lead to a linear eigenvalue problem whose nontrivial solutions are just the possible buckling modes for the plate. The buckling conditions for both flexural and barreling modes are presented. As a particular example of buckling of anisotropic elastic plate, the buckling of an orthotropic elastic plate, which is subjected to simple shear along a direction making an arbitrary angle of θ with respect to an elastic principal axis of materials, is analyzed. The buckling direction varies with θ and the critical amount of shear. The numerical results show that only the flexural mode can indeed exist. The buckling and post-buckling of clamped circular plate subjected to distributed radial compressed load is presented by using the high-order perturbation analysis and shooting method. The sixth-order solution shows good agreement with the FEM results in [11]. The results in this paper are applied to investigate the buckling and growth of pressed thin film delamination in the film/substrate system. Under a certain residual pressure in the thin film, two characteristic blister radiiR c andR g, the critical radius and growing radius respectively, are obtained. The numerical result shows that the growth criterion of delamination in [9,10] is not perfect. In variant residual stress or interface toughness, the conditions of no growth, stable growth and unstable growth of the delamination are obtained by comparing the driving force at the interface crack tip with the interface toughness.This project is supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China.  相似文献

In Part 1, a theoretical analysis was used to study the secondary buckling of a simply supported plate. In Part 2, a clamped plate is analysed by the finite element method. The stability criterion for a non-linear post-buckling equilibrium state is evaluated by the sign of the determinant of the stiffness matrix. It should be noted that the secondary buckling loads of clamped plates are unexpectedly smaller than those of simply supported plates and are only one and a half times the primary buckling loads. In previous analyses, only a quarter segment of the plate was considered by assuming a stable equilibrium state with symmetrical mode. However, instability can also be predicted by considering the unsymmetrical mode over the whole plate. Results of experimental analysis of secondary instability of clamped square plates under uniaxial compression agreed with the numerical results.  相似文献

研究了温度场中非保守功能梯度材料(FGM)圆板的非线性力学行为。基于经典板理论,推导了受非保守力作用的FGM圆板在温度场中的控制微分方程。采用打靶法分析了由陶瓷二氧化锆和金属钛合金两相材料组成的非保守FGM圆板在均匀和非均匀升温场中的非线性力学行为。给出了不同均匀升温和非均匀升温场下,FGM圆板在非保守载荷作用下的平衡路径和平衡构形。分析并讨论了均匀和非均匀升温、材料梯度指数对非保守圆板过屈曲和弯曲行为的影响。结果表明:温度场中,非保守FGM圆板发生弯曲而纯陶瓷圆板会发生过屈曲行为;当梯度指数p=2,非保守载荷q=52时,均匀升温场中非保守圆板的变形大于非均匀升温场中非保守圆板的变形。  相似文献

基于Mindlin假定下的大变形板/壳理论,采用参考面单元和虚拟杆单元相结合的非线性有限元方法,建立了分析含多个穿透分层损伤层合板后屈曲行为的有限元计算模型,并给出了考虑接触后非线性屈曲方程的迭代算法,从而研究考虑层间接触效应的多分层层合板的后屈曲性态。文中着重讨论了分层的深度、数目和尺寸对含多分层合板后屈曲性态的影响。大量数值分析结果证明了该模型的有效性,并且得到了一些对层合板结构设计和对含分层损伤层合板评估有益的结论。  相似文献

铁磁弹性薄板的磁弹性屈曲问题一直作为电磁——弹性力学相互作用的一个基本模型进行研究,而作用在其磁介质上的磁力计算则是定量理论预测准确与否的关键.到目前为止,文献上已有的理论模型对悬臂铁磁梁式悬臂板在横向磁场中磁弹性屈曲的理论预测值始终高于实验值,有的甚至相差100%左右.本文基于电磁力计算的微观安培电流模型,严格给出了软铁磁薄板等效横向磁力的宏观计算表达式.在此基础上,建立了电磁——力学相互耦合作用的非线性理论模型.该模型能描述铁磁薄板结构在非均匀横向磁场环境中的磁弹性失稳(或屈曲).其定量分析采用了有限元法和有限差分法相结合.数值结果显示:本模型给出的磁弹性屈曲的临界磁场值与实验值符合良好.与此同时,文中还对文献中认为较成功的Moon-Pao模型的基本假设进行了分析.定量结果发现:Moon-Pao理论模型的基本假设仅在梁式板的长厚比L/h比较大时(约在200左右),是可以接受的,而当L/h较小时,该假设将导致理论值与实验值的较大误差.L/h比值越小,理论值与实验值的误差越大  相似文献

In order to study the multi-field coupling mechanical behavior of the simply-supported conductive rectangular thin plate under the condition of an externally lateral strong impulsive magnetic field, that is the dynamic buckling phenomenon of the thin plates in the effect of the magnetic volume forces produced by the interaction between the eddy current and the magnetic fields, a FEM analysis program is developed to characterize the phenomena of magnetuelastic buckling and instability of the plates. The critical values of magnetic field for the three different initial vibrating modes are obtained, with a detailed discussion made on the effects of the length-thickness ratio a/h of the plate and the length-width ratio a/b as well as the impulse parameterτon the critical value BOcr of the applied magnetic field.  相似文献

In order to clarify the developmental mechanism of the local plastic buckling and the interaction between axial wave and buckling deformation in an axially impacted slender-bar, the non-linear dynamic equations in the incremental form are derived and solved by use of the finite difference method, with the axial wave front treated as a moving boundary. The initial local-buckling deflection given by the characteristic-value analysis is used as the initial condition of the solution of the equations, instead of the initial imperfection that is assumed in literatures. It is found that the initial buckling deflection with one half-wave, occurring near the impacted end, develops into the higher post-buckling mode with several half-waves, as the axial compression waves propagate forward. The numerical results show that no strain reversal occurs at the early stage of post-buckling process, and the solution corresponding to the tangent-modulus theory is valid for the dynamic plastic post-buckling response of the bar at this stage. The theoretical results are in good agreement with the experimental results reported in the literature.  相似文献
