We present an entanglement concentration protocol (ECP) to concentrate arbitrary four-photon less-entangled cluster state into maximally entangled cluster state. Different from other ECPs for cluster state, we only exploit the single photon as auxiliary, which makes this protocol feasible and economic. In our ECP, the concentrated maximally entangled state can be retained for further application and the discarded state can be reused for a higher success probability. This ECP works with the help of cross-Kerr nonlinearity and conventional photon detectors. This ECP may be useful in future one-way quantum computation.  相似文献

We present a highly efficient entanglement concentration protocol (ECP) for a four-electron system in a less-entangled cluster state. In this ECP, we only require one pair of less-entangled electron cluster states and one ancillary electron to complete the task. With the help of the controlled-not (CNOT) gate, the concentrated maximally entangled state can be retained for further application with some success probability. On the other hand, the discarded items can be reused to obtain a high success probability. All the features make this ECP useful in the current quantum information field.  相似文献

The maximally entanglement will become less-entangled state because of the effects of decoherence. However, maximally entangled states are usually important for most of the quantum information processing protocols. So we propose a practical entanglement concentration protocol of an arbitrary four-photon less-entangled state assisted with single photons, which greatly reduces the difficulty of the experimental realization. In our scheme, we only employ three steps, a four-photon cluster state can be acquired with a certain probability by three affiliated photons. The protocol adopts the linear optical elements and weak cross-Kerr media, which make the scheme more simple and feasible in the experiment.  相似文献

We present an efficient entanglement concentration protocol(ECP) for the less-entangled W state with some identical conventional polarized single photons. In the protocol, two of the parties say Alice and Charlie should perform the parity check measurements and they can ultimately obtain the maximally entangled W state with a certain success probability.Otherwise, they can obtain another less-entangled W state, which can be reconcentrated into the maximally entangled W state.By iterating this ECP,a high success probability can be achieved. This ECP may be an optimal one and it is useful in current quantum information processing.  相似文献

We present a universal way to concentrate an arbitrary N-particle less-entangled W state into a maximally entangled W state with different parity check gates. It comprises two protocols. The first protocol is based on the linear optical elements, say the partial parity check gate and the second protocol uses the quantum nondemolition measurement to construct the complete parity check gate. Both protocols can achieve the concentration task. These protocols have several advantages.First, they can obtain a maximally entangled W state only with the help of some single photons, which greatly reduces the number of entanglement resources.Second,in the first protocol, only linear optical elements are required, which is feasible with current techniques.Third, the second protocol can be repeated to perform the concentration step and obtain a higher success probability. All these advantages make it quite useful in current quantum communication and computation applications.  相似文献

We propose an efficient entanglement concentration protocol (ECP) based on electron-spin cluster states assisted with single electrons. In the ECP, we adopt the electron polarization beam splitter (PBS) and the charge detector to construct the quantum nondemolition measurement. According to the result of the measurement of the charge detection, we can ultimately obtain the maximally entangled cluster states. Moreover, the discarded items can be reused in the next round to reach a high success probability. This ECP may be useful in current solid quantum computation.  相似文献

We present an efficient entanglement concentration protocol (ECP) for mobile electrons with charge detection. This protocol is quite different from other ECPs for one can obtain a maximally entangled pair from a pair of less-entangled state and a single mobile electron with a certain probability. With the help of charge detection, it can be repeated to reach a higher success probability. It also does not need to know the coefficient of the original less-entangled states. All these advantages may make this protocol useful in current distributed quantum information processing.  相似文献

Concatenated Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (C-GHZ) state, which encodes many physical qubits in a logic qubit will have important applications in both quantum communication and computation. In this paper, we will describe an entanglement concentration protocol (ECP) for electronic C-GHZ state, by exploiting the electronic polarization beam splitters (PBSs) and charge detection. This protocol has several advantages. First, the parties do not need to know the exact coefficients of the initial less-entangled C-GHZ state, which makes this protocol feasible. Second, with the help of charge detection, the distilled maximally entangled C-GHZ state can be remained for future application. Third, this protocol can be repeated to obtain a higher success probability. We hope that this protocol can be useful in future quantum computation based on electrons.  相似文献

Two schemes, via entanglement concentration and with generalized measurement respectively, for controlled dense coding with a one-dimensional five-qubit cluster state are investigated. In this protocol, the supervisor (Cliff) can control the entanglement of the channel and the average amount of information transmitted from the sender (Alice) to the receiver (Bob) by adjusting the local measurement angle θ. It is shown that the results for the average amounts of information are unique from the different two schemes.  相似文献

We propose a different entanglement concentration protocol (ECP) for nonlocal N-electron systems in a partially entangled Bell-type pure state using the CNOT gates and the projection measurements on an additional electron. For each nonlocal N-electron system, Alice first entangles it with the additional electron, and then she projects the additional electron onto an orthogonal basis for dividing the N-electron systems into two groups. In the first group, the N parties obtain a subset of N-electron systems in a maximally entangled state directly. In the second group, they obtain some less-entangled N-electron systems, which are the resource for the entanglement concentration in the next round. By iterating the entanglement concentration process several times, the present ECP has the maximal success probability, which is the theoretical limit of an ECP, equal to the entanglement of the partially entangled state, and higher than the others. This ECP may be useful in quantum computers based on electron-spin systems in the future.  相似文献

In this paper we present an entanglement concentration protocol for enhancement of the amount of entanglement maximally in a three qubit non-maximally entangled state. We use a Bell state for this purpose. Here the speciality is that no non-local measurement involving more than one parties is involved in the protocol. It is shown that for obtaining best probability of success a maximally entangled Bell state must be used. The probability of success in our protocol increases with an increase in the amount of entanglement in the assisting Bell state, and is zero when the entanglement vanishes.  相似文献

We present a novel protocol for teleportation of arbitrary bipartite pure and mixed state with shared cluster entanglement in this paper. By employing Bell-state measurement on the teleported state and the shared cluster state twice, a sender could transmit the arbitrary bipartite state to a distant receiver. We show the good feature of the cluster state channel, with which it can realize the deterministic teleportation rather than probabilistic one. Moreover, since we require less particles to be shared and need no auxiliary qubit in our protocol, it is more efficient and applicable than the previous schemes.  相似文献

An entangled coherent state(ECS) is one type of entanglement, which is widely discussed in the application of quantum information processing(QIP). In this paper, we propose an entanglement concentration protocol(ECP) to distill the maximally entangled W-type ECS from the partially entangled W-type ECS. In the ECP, we adopt the balanced beam splitter(BS) to make the parity check measurement. Our ECP is quite different from the conventional ECPs. After performing the ECP, not only can we obtain the maximally entangled ECS with some success probability, but also we can increase the amplitude of the coherent state. Therefore, it is especially useful in long-distance quantum communication, if the photon loss is considered.  相似文献

We present an efficient faithful polarization entanglement distribution protocol for W state over an arbitrary noise channel, which use the frequency degree of freedom to carry the entanglement during the transmission. We describe the transmission of three-photon W state as an example, and then generalize this scheme to n-qubit W state situation. The remote parties can obtain maximally entangled W states on the polarization of photons, and the success probability is 100% in principle. As there was few entanglement purification for W state, our scheme is an efficient and practical method to share W state entanglement between distant parties, which will be useful in quantum communication. We also show that our scheme can be used to distribute arbitrary multi-particle entangled state.  相似文献

We investigate which entanglement resources allow universal measurement-based quantum computation via single-qubit operations. We find that any entanglement feature exhibited by the 2D cluster state must also be present in any other universal resource. We obtain a powerful criterion to assess the universality of graph states by introducing an entanglement measure which necessarily grows unboundedly with the system size for all universal resource states. Furthermore, we prove that graph states associated with 2D lattices such as the hexagonal and triangular lattice are universal, and obtain the first example of a universal nongraph state.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is a proposal on entanglement concentration protocol for cluster states. The protocol uses CNOT gate operation and is assisted with a single qubit. Moreover, the local and non-local operations are performed by a single party. We also make a comparative numerical study of the residual entanglement left out after the execution of each step of the protocol.  相似文献

We propose a practical entanglement concentration protocol(ECP) for a hybrid entangled state using quantum dots and a microcavity coupled system.A hybrid less-entangled state can be concentrated to a most-entangled state with a certain probability using only one ancillary single photon. Moreover, using this protocol,we can also concentrate an arbitrary three-particle less-entangled W state using two ancillary photons and classical communication. The proposed protocols provide us with a useful method to concentrate less-entangled states, which can be implemented with current technology.  相似文献

We present an efficient faithful multipartite polarization entanglement distribution protocol over an arbitrary noisy channel. The spatial degree of freedom is used to carry the entanglement during the transmission. We describe the principle by distributing n-qubit Greenberge-Horne-Zeilinger state and n-qubit W state. Our scheme can be used to distribute arbitrary n-qubit entangled states to n distant locations. The remote parties can obtain maximally entangled states deterministically on the polarization of photons. Only passive linear optics are employed in our setup, which makes our scheme more feasible and efficient for practical application in long distance quantum communication.  相似文献

Utilizing the advantage of quantum entanglement swapping, a multi-party quantum key agreement protocol with authentication is proposed. In this protocol, a semi-trusted third party is introduced, who prepares Bell states, and sends one particle to multiple participants respectively. After that the participants can share a Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger state by entanglement swapping. Finally, these participants measure the particles in their hands and obtain an agreement key. Here, classical hash function and Hadamard operation are utilized to authenticate the identity of participants. The correlations of GHZ states ensure the security of the proposed protocol. To illustrated it detailly, the security of this protocol against common attacks is analyzed, which shows that the proposed protocol is secure in theory.

We propose an entanglement concentration scheme which uses only the effects of quantum statistics of indistinguishable particles. This establishes the fact that useful quantum information processing can be accomplished by quantum statistics alone. Because of the basis independence of statistical effects, our protocol requires less knowledge of the initial state than most entanglement concentration schemes. Moreover, no explicit controlled operation is required at any stage.  相似文献
