8字形腔波长可调谐锁模脉冲光纤激光器   总被引:4,自引:4,他引:0  
采用非线性光纤环形镜加脉冲锁模技术及可调谐光纤光栅滤波器,对8字形腔被动锁模掺铒光纤激光器进行了波长可调谐输出的实验研究.在EDFA抽运光功率一定的情况下,通过调节偏振控制器和可调谐光纤光栅滤波器,获得了光谱稳定、重复频率1.1 MHz、输出功率起伏小于0.8 dBm、中心波长在1 548~1 570 nm内连续可调的短脉冲输出.该激光器可实现自启动锁模,且长时间稳定工作无需任何调整.  相似文献

 采用974 nm半导体激光器作为泵浦源,超高掺杂Yb3+光纤作为增益介质,利用光纤的非线性偏振旋转效应,得到稳定的ps量级锁模光脉冲。泵浦功率220 mW时,激光器锁模阈值功率150 mW,输出功率26 mW,锁模光脉冲中心波长1 046 nm,3 dB带宽6.01 nm,20 dB带宽16 nm,脉宽22 ps,重复频率20 MHz。与同类光纤激光器相比,该激光器输出功率高,具有更好的稳定性。  相似文献

We report on a long-cavity passively mode-locked fiber laser in the anomalous dispersion regime. The nonlinear polarization rotation technique is employed to achieve mode locking. The output pulse from the fiber laser has a rectangular shape and a corresponding gaussian-shape spectral profile. Stable mode-locked pulses at a repetition rate of 278 kHz with single pulse energy as high as 715 nJ are obtained under equal bidirectional pumping power of 500 mW in cavity. The experimental results demonstrate that the passively mode-locked fiber laser operating in the anomalous regime can also realize a high-energy pulse, which is different from the conventional low-energy soliton pulse.  相似文献

A phase-locked bound state soliton with dual-wavelength is observed experimentally in a passively mode-locked Erdoped fiber(EDF) laser with a fiber loop mirror(FLM). The pulse duration of the soliton is 15 ps and the peak-to-peak separation is 125 ps. The repetition rate of the pulse sequence is 3.47 MHz. The output power is 11.8 mW at the pump power of 128 mW, corresponding to the pulse energy of 1.52 nJ. The FLM with a polarization controller can produce a comb spectrum, which acts as a filter. By adjusting the polarization controller or varying the pump power, the central wavelength of the comb spectrum can be tuned. When it combines with the reflective spectrum of the fiber Bragg grating, the total spectrum of the cavity can be cleaved into two parts, then the bound state soliton with dual-wavelength at 1549.7 nm and 1550.4 nm is obtained.  相似文献

Multi-operation state in an all-normal-dispersion ytterbium-doped fiber laser is obtained by introducing nonlinear polarization or hybrid mode-locking mechanism in the laser cavity. In addition to operating the laser at continuous-wave mode-locking, various operation states including continuous-wave, Q-switched mode-locking, pulse-splitting, and harmonic mode-locking can be achieved by tuning the laser pump power or an intracavity polarization controller. Insertion of a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror in the cavity helps to shorten the output pulsewidth of the hybrid mode-locked laser. When the pump power is rapidly adjusted, a strong asymmetric hysteresis behavior can be observed during the manipulation between different orders of harmonic mode-locking.  相似文献

报道了一种基于非线性偏振旋转效应的被动锁模光纤激光器。采用980 nm分布式反馈激光器作为泵浦源,0.5 m长的高掺杂掺铒光纤作为增益介质。实现了脉冲宽度为822 fs的传统孤子锁模脉冲,输出脉冲的平均功率为2.8 mW,信噪比为55.8 dB。通过微调腔内的偏振控制器,实现了传统孤子脉冲和孤子分子脉冲间的切换,孤子分子的脉冲宽度为312 fs,信噪比为53.86 dB。孤子分子脉冲经掺铒光纤放大器放大后泵浦一段57 m长的高非线性光纤,产生了位于第三近红外窗口(1600 nm~1870 nm)的超连续谱,其20 dB谱宽为355.8 nm。  相似文献

The advantages of using nonlinear optical loop mirror (NOLM) to compress pulse with slight amplitude fluctuation and reflected energy loss are analyzed in theory. Experimentally the NOLM is placed in an actively mode-locked erbium-doped fiber ring laser to form a figure-eight actively and passively mode-locked fiber laser. 12 ps mode-locked pulses centered at 1.543 μm were obtained with the modulation frequency of 2.498748700 GHz. 3.715 mW output power is achieved with 50 mW pump power.  相似文献

高重复频率掺Er光纤飞秒激光器在光学频率梳、超高速光学采样等领域具有很重要的作用. 本文采用非线性偏振旋转锁模机理, 在掺Er光纤飞秒激光器中实现了重复频率为303 MHz的锁模脉冲输出. 通过优化腔内色散, 激光器腔内色散在零色散附近偏负值, 锁模后工作在展宽脉冲锁模状态. 在817 mW抽运功率下, 激光器在连续光状态下可以输出125 mW的平均功率, 在锁模状态下可以输出69 mW的平均功率, 脉冲宽度为90 fs. 当抽运功率处于700-817 mW时, 激光器可以实现自启动锁模. 激光器重复频率在5 h内的漂移量为30 Hz.  相似文献

We demonstrate a tunable and switchable dual-wavelength passively mode-locked fiber ring laser in the anomalous dispersion regime that generates high-energy pulses at a sub-100 kHz repetition rate. The nonlinear polarization rotation (NPR) technique is employed in this configuration to allow for passively mode-locked operation. By exploiting the intensity-dependent loss caused by NPR, the mode competition could be efficiently alleviated. Moreover, taking advantage of the intrinsic spectral filter induced by the intracavity birefringence, the dual-wavelength separations as well as the wavelength lasing locations could be flexibly tuned by properly rotating the polarization controller. With a repetition rate of 85.8 kHz, the laser delivers the single pulse energy of 198 nJ at a pump power of 250 mW. The combination of high per-pulse energy and flexible tunability in this fiber laser is useful for practical applications.  相似文献

We demonstrate different operation states which can be switched by the polarization control in an erbium-doped fiber laser cavity with normal dispersion, including passive single-pulse and multiple-pulse mode-locking, coherent pulse pattern, and passive Q-switching. The mode-locked single pulse has a smooth and broad rectangular-shaped spectrum. With increasing pump power, multiple pulses appear and finally six pulses are observed, where the pulses have no interaction with each other. Keeping the pump power at 407 mW and adjusting the polarization state, we observe the coherent pulse pattern with the pulse numbers from 2 to 5. It is the first time five coherent pulses in the 1.55 μm normal dispersion cavity have been observed, to our knowledge. The mode-locked spectra are highly modulated and the largest pulse separation of 31.9 ps is observed for the two-pulse case. When the pump power exceeds 180 mW, the mode-locked operation can be switched to the passively Q-switched operation by controlling the polarization state. The repetition rate and pulse width can be changed by pump power variation, and the spectrum is tunable in the range of 8.45 nm.  相似文献

The transition state between the continuous wave region and the mode-locked region in a passively mode-locked erbium-doped fibre ring laser has been experimentally observed by utilizing the nonlinear polarization rotation technique.When the pump power reaches the mode-locked threshold,the metastable pulse train with a tunable repetition rate is obtained in the transition from the continuous wave state to the passive mode-locked state via proper adjustment of the polarization controller.A simple model has been established to explain the experimental observation.  相似文献

Soliton molecules evolution is numerically investigated in a passively mode-locked fiber laser based on the nonlinear polarization rotation (NPR) technique. Peak-to-peak separation of soliton molecules can be controlled by changing either pump strength or cavity linear phase delay appropriately. Moreover, soliton molecules with intensity-independent evolution, separation-independent evolution and large intensity-vibrating evolution are numerically found, respectively. The characteristics of soliton molecules evolution versus linear phase delay or pump strength are given. Periodic stable evolution regimes are found. The separation-controllable soliton molecules can be attributed to the mutual effects of phase delay, Kerr nonlinearity and other parameters of the cavity.  相似文献

利用非线性光环形镜(NOLM)的可饱和吸收特性实现了可自启动的2μm全光纤高能量被动锁模掺铥光纤激光器。当泵浦功率大于3W时,激光器工作在连续或不稳定脉冲运转状态;泵浦功率达到4.69W后,输出为自启动锁模脉冲,重复频率4.26MHz,中心波长2 061.5nm,光谱半极大宽度18.1nm,平均输出功率8.8mW;继续增加泵浦功率到最大值7.56W,可以得到中心波长2 062.2nm、光谱半极大宽度17.1nm、斜率效率为6.2%、脉冲宽度和能量分别为424fs和65.6nJ的稳定锁模脉冲。这是目前已报道的在未经放大情况下脉冲能量最高的2μm锁模脉冲光纤激光器。  相似文献

报道了一种基于石墨烯被动锁模的全正色散掺镱环形光纤激光器. 在激光器腔中应用激光诱导沉积法制备的石墨烯可饱和吸收体, 通过调节抽运光功率和偏振控制器的角度分别得到了明脉冲及其二阶谐波, 暗明脉冲对和暗脉冲及其二、三阶谐波这三类不同的脉冲. 其中, 暗明脉冲对和暗脉冲在基于石墨烯被动锁模的掺镱光纤激光器实验中都是第一次被观察到. 本文根据实验结果结合模拟分析了暗脉冲的产生机理, 并研究对比了明脉冲谐波和暗脉冲谐波产生的原因.  相似文献

A simple switchable and tunable dual-wavelength passively mode-locked erbium-doped fiber ring laser based on nonlinear polarization rotation (NPR) effect is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The NPR effect effectively induces wavelength- and intensity-dependent loss to readily implement stable dual-wavelength passively mode-locked operation. The wavelength switching and tuning of the dual-wavelength ultrashort pulse laser are achieved only by appropriately rotating the polarization controllers. The side-mode suppression ratio of the output pulse is larger than 41 dB over a wavelength-tuning range of 43.4 nm. Moreover, triple-wavelength ultrashort pulse can also be observed.  相似文献

报道了一种基于非线性放大环镜和Lyot滤波器技术的态开关型掺铥光纤激光器.通过仔细调节偏振控制器和泵浦功率,掺铥光纤激光器可以分别在多波长态和耗散孤子锁模态运行,并且两种态之间可以相互切换.对于多波长态,在光谱半功率值范围内能生成8个稳定的波长;对于耗散孤子锁模态,在1996 nm的中心波长处产生脉冲能量高达41.49 nJ,脉冲持续时间为2.4 ns,光谱带宽为29 nm的耗散孤子.不同运行态间的切换归因于偏振控制器导致的非线性放大环镜的功能的改变.  相似文献

构建了可自启动的双波长运转掺铒光纤锁模激光器.通过优化增益光纤长度,利用掺铒光纤在1530nm附近的再吸收效应调节激光器的增益谱,使激光器在1530nm和1560nm附近具有相同的增益强度.实验中采用31cm掺铒光纤作为增益光纤,以透射式半导体可饱和吸收体作为锁模器件,实现了自启动双波长锁模运转.激光器锁模输出重复频率为58.01MHz,信噪比为58.2dB,最高输出功率为4.8mW.锁模输出的光谱在1532.4nm和1552.3nm处具有两个强度接近的谱峰,谱峰间距约为20nm.该激光器无需手动调节即可实现双波长运转,更便于实际使用.  相似文献

从一种简单、全光纤结构的混合被动锁模掺铒光纤激光器中,得到了高稳定性、宽光谱的耗散孤子。激光器结合了半导体可饱和吸收体和非线性偏振旋转两种锁模机制,并运行在正常色散区内;通过色散管理,激光器能产生光谱宽度39.1 nm和时域宽度178 fs的孤子脉冲序列。激光输出的中心波长为1.55μm,重复频率约为34.3 MHz,单脉冲能量在0.33 nJ左右。与此同时,激光器的斜效率也约等于15.5%;室温工作下,激光器能实现自启动锁模,且运行在稳定单脉冲输出状态的时长在15 h以上。  相似文献

利用非线性偏振旋转技术,实现了正色散掺铒光纤激光器的自启动锁模,产生了一种新型的增益诱导孤子脉冲输出.该类型脉冲的光谱近似为矩形,半高全宽光谱宽度可达19 nm以上,脉宽为皮秒量级.增益诱导孤子脉冲的形成是增益饱和、光谱滤波效应、腔内色散和各种非线性效应共同作用的结果.同时还分析了脉冲啁啾特性及峰值功率等参数.当抽运功率增加时,该激光器还可以实现双脉冲模式下运转. 关键词: 光纤激光器 增益诱导孤子 啁啾  相似文献

We have proposed and demonstrated a passively harmonic mode-locked fiber laser based on a single-walled carbon nanotube saturable absorber (SWCNT-SA) that has a controllable repetition rate. With the pump power fixed, we have experimentally observed harmonically mode-locked optical pulses with repetition rates that can be controlled over the range from the fundamental to the seventh-order mode through careful adjustment of the polarization controller only. From the experimental results, we deduce that the likely origin of the self-stabilization is the result of global and local soliton interactions induced by the continuous wave (CW) components.  相似文献
