We report high-precision calculations that correctly include the rearrangement channels by solving the modified Faddeev equations for energies between the Ps(n = 2) and H(n = 3) thresholds, which involve six and eight open channels. We find that 99% of the antihydrogen is formed in H(n = 2). Just above the Ps(n = 2) threshold the S, P, and D partial waves contribute nearly 1400pi(a(2)0) near the maximum. We find evidence that the induced long-range dipole potential is responsible for such a large H formation cross section. The possibility of utilizing this resonance to synthesize low-energy H is discussed.  相似文献

Recent developments in high-finesse cavities now make broadly tunable, continuous-wave Raman lasers possible. The design and preliminary characterization of what is to the authors' knowledge the first continuous-wave Raman laser in H(2) are presented. The threshold is currently at 2 mW of pump, making diode laser pumping possible. The maximum photon conversion efficiency observed was 35% at 7.6 mW of pump power.  相似文献

Nuclear levels of23Mg near and above the proton threshold were investigated with high resolution. A new level has been identified at 7.643 MeV (66 keV above the proton threshold) with a possible J=(3/2, 5/2)+. Some other spin-parity and excitation-energy assignments are also made. These results enable the reaction rate estimate of22Na(p,)23Mg with much smaller uncertainties, which is critical for the Ne-E problem in nuclear astrophysics.  相似文献

Spectroscopic properties and laser performance of Y b-doped tungstates at pulsed Ti:sapphire laser pumping are reported. Room-temperature lasing near 1025nm is demonstrated in Yb:KY(WO(4))(2) and Yb:KGd(WO(4))(2), with a slope efficiency as great as 86.9%.  相似文献

利用修正的BBK理论,考虑入射道的库仑相互作用及出射电子的交换对称性,在共面-等能分享-垂直角度碰撞几何中,分别计算了能量为79.6,105.6,227.6和375.6eV的入射电子碰撞Li+(1s2)(e,2e)反应三重微分截面(TDCS).结果表明:在接近阈能的碰撞中,两出射电子连线平行于入射电子方向时,TDCS最大;两出射电子连线垂直于入射电子方向时,TDCS最小;入射电子能量达5倍的电离阈能时,主要为单次双体碰撞,而且入射道库仑场对决定低能碰撞的TDCS起着重要作用. 关键词:  相似文献

The results of a determination of the optical breakdown thresholds of air near the surface of copper laser mirrors with a-C:H protective coating by intense pulsed 10.6 μm radiation are analyzed and systematized. It is shown that there is no correlation between the breakdown threshold of a coated mirror, the reflectance of the coating, and the breakdown threshold of the initial copper surface. Experimental dependences of the threshold of optical breakdown of coated mirrors on the a-C:H thickness and deposition rate as well as the storage time of the mirrors are given. Estimates are made of the rise in the surface temperature in the irradiation zone for the case of an ideal adhesive contact and calculations are made of the damage threshold of the coating in the case that the adhesive contact between the mirror and the coating is impaired. The effect of the a-C:H coating properties and the conditions at the polished metal surface-protective coating interface on the optical breakdown threshold is discussed. Zh. Tekh. Analyzing powers for these charge symmetric reactions were measured at low energies where symmetry breaking effects due to the Coulomb interaction should be enhanced. In the context of chiral SU(2) perturbation theory, pion-kaon scattering is analysed near the threshold to fourth chiral order. The scattering amplitude is calculated both in the relativistic framework and by using an approach similar to heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory. Both methods lead to equivalent results. We obtain relations between threshold parameters, valid to fourth chiral order, where all those combinations of low-energy constants which are not associated with chiral-symmetry breaking terms drop out. The remaining low-energy constants can be estimated using chiral SU(3) symmetry. Unfortunately, the experimental information is not precise enough to test our low-energy theorems.  相似文献

Precision measurement of the angular distribution of polarized protons from the2H(d,p)3H reaction at about 1 MeV is compared with experimental polarization data from the mirror reaction2H(d,n)3He at the same entrance and exit channel energies. In both comparisons, differences in polarizations of outgoing nucleons from the d + d charge symmetric reactions were found to be larger than experimental uncertainties.  相似文献

H atom densities are measured by threshold ionization mass spectrometry in a H2 parallel-plate RF discharge. Variations of H density near the surface in steady-state discharge conditions reveal different surface loss probabilities γ on stainless steel, hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) and oxidized silicon. Absolute γ values are obtained from time-resolved H density measurements in afterglow. The etching probability of Si per H atom incident on a-Si:H is also derived by monitoring SiH4 partial pressure and SiH(A2Δ) optical emission.  相似文献

We present a measurement of the cross section of the process e(+)e(-)-->pi(+)pi(-)psi(2S) from threshold up to 8 GeV center-of-mass energy using events containing initial-state radiation, produced at the SLAC PEP-II e(+)e(-) storage rings. The study is based on 298 fb(-1) of data recorded with the BABAR detector. A structure is observed in the cross section not far above threshold, near 4.32 GeV. We also investigate the compatibility of this structure with the Y(4260) previously reported by this experiment.  相似文献

The 2H(d,p)3H and 2H(d,n)3He reactions have been indirectly studied by means of the Trojan Horse Method applied to the quasi-free 2H(3He, p3H)1H?2H(3He, n3He)1H reaction at 18?MeV of beam energy. This is the first experiment where the spectator (here 1H) has been detected in coincidence with the charged participant, avoiding the limitations of standard neutron detectors. The d ? d relative energy has been measured from 1.5?MeV down to 2?keV, at center of mass angles from 40° to 170°. Indirect angular distributions are compared with the direct behaviour in the overlapping regions.  相似文献

The threshold electron spectrum of H2 O was obtained using a high resolution electron impact spectrometer combined with the penetrating field method for scattered electrons with energies close to zero eV. The valence, triplet Rydberg states, as well as the resonances were identified and are discussed in the energy region 5.2–14.3 eV. The threshold spectrum confirms the influence of resonances on the enhancement of the intensity of some Rydberg states above 10 eV. The vibrational spacing of the observed transitions of the Rydberg states indicates that the water molecule is excited in the symmetric stretching mode.  相似文献

在复合波长(波长分别为1053、527、351nm)情况下,利用激光近场对熔石英样品进行损伤实验。设计了一种基于激光近场辐照的损伤阈值定义方法,并利用带有灰度抑制的分水岭标记算法对损伤图像进行损伤区域提取,通过对比损伤图像与相应光束近场能量分布,计算出损伤区域与非损伤区域临界处的光能量密度,即为熔石英样品的损伤阈值。实验结果表明,复合波长激光诱导熔石英损伤是3种波长激光共同作用的结果,但351nm激光对损伤起主要作用,初始损伤阈值为8.22J/cm2;在复合波长激光多次辐照样品的情况下,熔石英样品后表面的损伤成指数形式增长,损伤增长系数为0.59。  相似文献

An investigation of the processes on a Si(100) surface interacting with oxygen near the solid-oxide nucleation threshold using x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and atomic-force microscopy is described. The nucleation threshold is the boundary between the temperature and oxygen pressure regions where a phase transition with the formation of a submonolayer oxide and a roughening transition caused by oxygen adsorption occur. Near the nucleation threshold, either a random rough relief or a quasiperiodic structure is formed on a surface coated with chemisorbed oxygen. The formation of the rough relief due to oxygen adsorption has been interpreted within the theory of phase transitions as a result of vacancy clustering. A model that allows one to describe the dynamics of processes on the surface near the nucleation threshold in qualitative and in some cases in quantitative terms has been suggested. Zh. éksp. Teor.
