A theory of the space-charge field is improved in biased photorefractive-phorovoltaic crystals. Steady-state spatial solitons are obtained in the low-amplitude regime in biased photorefractive-photovoltaic crystals. When photovoltaic effect is neglected, these solitons are screening solitons, and their space-charge field is the space-charge field of screening solitons. When the external field is absent, these solitons are photovoltaic solitons for the closed or the open circuit and we also predict that gray solitons exist in photorefractive-photovoltaic crystals, and their space-charge field is the space-charge field of photovoltaic solitons.  相似文献

Bright and dark spatial gap solitons are demonstrated in waveguide arrays. These gap solitons travel across the array at zero transverse velocity, in complete analogy with stationary (immobile) temporal gap solitons. Furthermore, the launching configuration for observing these stationary gap solitons is shown to be the analog of an "ideal experiment" for observing stationary temporal gap solitons, never observed so far. A clear distinction is established between the family of Floquet-Bloch solitons in general and discrete solitons in particular, and the limiting case of gap solitons.  相似文献

Wave properties of solitons in a two-component Bose-Einstein condensate are investigated in detail.We demonstrate that dark solitons in one of components admit interference and tunneling behavior,in sharp contrast to the scalar dark solitons and vector dark solitons.Analytic analyses of interference properties show that spatial interference patterns are determined by the relative velocity of solitons,while temporal interference patterns depend on the velocities and widths of two solitons,differing from the interference properties of scalar bright solitons.Especially,for an attractive interactions system,we show that interference effects between the two dark solitons can induce some short-time density humps(whose densities are higher than background density).Moreover,the maximum hump value is remarkably sensitive to the variation of the solitons' parameters.For a repulsive interactions system,the temporal-spatial interference periods of dark-bright solitons have lower limits.Numerical simulation results suggest that interference patterns for the dark-bright solitons are more robust against noises than bright-dark solitons.These explicit interference properties can be used to measure the velocities and widths of solitons.It is expected that these interference behaviors can be observed experimentally and can be used to design matter wave soliton interferometer in vector systems.  相似文献

A universal theory of steady-state one-dimensional photorefractive spatial solitons is developed which applies to the steady-state one-dimensional photorefractive solitons under various realizations, including the screening solitons in a biased photorefractive medium, the photovoltaic solitons in open- and closed-circuit photovoltaic-photorefractive media and the screening-photovoltaic solitons in biased photovoltaic-photorefractive media. Previous theories advanced individually elsewhere for these solitons can be obtained by simplifying the universal theory under the appropriate conditions.  相似文献

从光纤双折射参量、背景光宽度、孤子脉冲宽度三方面探讨暗孤子在双折射光纤中远距离传输特性研究表明:相对于亮孤子,暗孤子对光纤双折射的自适应能力较弱;背景光宽度越大,暗脉冲与背景光对比度越好,暗孤子越能保持原来黑孤子状态;暗孤子脉冲宽度越大,偏振脉冲之间的差分群时延越大,诱导的灰孤子震荡结构越明显,越不利于暗孤子远距离传输.  相似文献

The existence and stability of solitons in one-dimensional multilayer photonic crystals potentials are reported. For all of the solitons, there exist cutoff points of the propagation constant below which the solitons vanish in the semi-infinite gap. The fundamental solitons are stable in the whole range where solitons exist. The antisymmetric dipole solitons can be stable when the propagation constant closes to the cutoff point. The range of stability for symmetric tripole solitons is changed with modulation depth and width of the multilayer photonic crystals potentials. The power of solitons increases with increasing of propagation constant and modulation width or decreasing of modulation depth of the potentials.  相似文献

修正了有偏压的光伏光折变晶体中屏蔽光伏孤子的理论。用微扰法研究了屏蔽光伏孤子的自偏转,得出孤子光呸中心的运动为抛物线,并且空间频率分量随传播距离而线性移动,改变外偏压或旋转光的偏振方向可以控制其自偏转。当光伏效应可忽略时,屏蔽光伏孤子的非线性波动方程就转化为屏蔽孤子的非线性波动方程,它的自偏转就转化为屏蔽孤子的自偏转。当外偏压为零时,屏蔽光伏孤子的非线性波动方程就转化为光伏孤子的非线性波动方程,它的自偏转证明了光伏孤子中也存在着自偏转。  相似文献

飞秒暗孤子间相互作用的数值研究   总被引:7,自引:1,他引:6  
通过数值模拟对飞秒暗孤子间的相互作用进行了研究,并且同飞秒亮孤子和皮秒暗孤子分别进行了比较,结果表明:同飞秒亮孤子相比,飞秒暗孤子间的相互作用比较小,前者表现为相互吸引、碰撞、合二为一,然后相互排斥,不具有周期性;而后者从一开始就相互排斥,且这种排斥作用较亮孤子来说相当微弱,同样也不具有周期性。此外,数值模拟的结果还表明,飞秒暗孤子间的相互作用同皮秒尺度下暗孤子间的相互作用基本一致,并且通过计算表明,飞秒暗孤子间的相互作用在一定范围内仍可利用皮秒尺度下暗孤子间相互作用的经验公式。但是,数值模拟结果显示,两孤子的初始间距越小,由经验公式计算结果所带来的误差就越大。  相似文献

This paper predicts that bright-dark self-coupled vector solitons are possible in biased two-photon photovoltaic photorefractive crystals under steady-state conditions. The solutions of these vector solitons can be determined by use of simple numerical integration procedures. When the photovoltaic effect is neglectable, these vector solitons are bright-dark vector screening solitons. When the external bias field is absent, these vector solitons degenerate the bright-dark vector photovoltaic solitons.  相似文献

We investigate, analytically and numerically, a class of novel higher-order spatial solitons in two transverse-dimensions, in highly nonlocal nonlinear media. The stability of these solutions in propagation is confirmed by direct numerical simulation. Our results demonstrate that the higher-order spatial solitons in highly nonlocal nonlinear media can exist in various forms, such as the fundamental solitons, vortex-ring solitons, multipole solitons, and fractional solitons.  相似文献

We numerically study the gray solitons in parity-time (PT) symmetric potentials. Simulated results show that there are two kinds of gray solitons, the dip-shaped gray solitons and the hump-shaped solitons, and both of them can be stable. Hump-shaped solitons can always exist, but the grayness of a stable dip-shaped gray soliton should exceed a threshold value. More interesting, it is discovered that when propagating in PT symmetric potentials, the gray solitons have no transverse deviation, and this is a phenomenon different from the usual gray solitons.  相似文献

We review the work on exploding dissipative solitons in one and two spatial dimensions. Features covered include: the transition from modulated to exploding dissipative solitons, the analogue of the Ruelle-Takens scenario for dissipative solitons, inducing exploding dissipative solitons by noise, two classes of exploding dissipative solitons in two spatial dimensions, diffusing asymmetric exploding dissipative solitons as a model for a two-dimensional extended chaotic system. As a perspective we outline the interaction of exploding dissipative solitons with quasi one-dimensional dissipative solitons, breathing quasi one-dimensional solutions and their possible connection with experimental results on convection, and the occurence of exploding dissipative solitons in reaction-diffusion systems. Light propagation in one-dimensional nonlinear waveguide arrays with self-defocusing intensity-resonant nonlinearity is investigated theoretically. We study thoroughly conditions for existence and stability of both gap and discrete dark solitons. According to the linear stability analysis both fundamental types (on-site and intersite) of gap solitons may be stable. Discrete dark solitons are unstable except in the low-power regime and, depending on system parameters, evolve into either gray solitons, breathers, or background radiation. Mobility of these solitons is analyzed by the free energy concept: gap solitons are immobile but dark solitons can be easily set in motion.  相似文献

为了研究外加偏压光伏光折变晶体中的空间灰孤子,建立了含分压电阻的光折变屏蔽光伏空间灰孤子的演化方程,给出了灰孤子解.采用数值模拟的方法,求解灰孤子的数值表达式,得到了不同参量取值下的灰孤子包络.数值结果表明:当分压电阻、晶体的外加电场和光伏场取不同值时,可以分别得到有无分压电阻的屏蔽灰孤子;开路的光伏灰孤子,有、无分压电阻的闭路光伏灰孤子;有、无分压电阻的屏蔽光伏灰孤子.  相似文献

The coherent interaction scenarios of two solitons, three solitons, and four solitons are presented. For two-soliton interactions, energy transfer and fusion between solitons are dependent on the relative phase of the interaction solitons, and for multi-soliton interactions, energy transfer will occur in all three relative phase conditions. The magnitude and direction of energy transfer can be controlled respectively by adjusting the interval and the relative phase of solitons.  相似文献

This paper investigates the temporal behavior of two-photon screening spatial solitons using a numerical technique. An expression for the time-dependent dynamical evolution is obtained. The results show that the width of bright solitons decreases monotonically to a minimum toward steady state value when the intensity ratio of the solitons is small, which is in low-amplitude regime. Within the same propagation time, the intensity width of solitons decreases with increase in soliton intensity ratio and with increase in external electric field. The formation time of solitons is independent of the intensity ratio of the solitons or the external electric field and is close to a constant determined by the dielectric relaxation time. The temporal properties of dark solitons are similar to those of the bright solitons.  相似文献
