利用遗传算法优化线性啁啾光栅性能 总被引:3,自引:2,他引:1
针对制作町用于40 Gb/s全光色散补偿的宽带线性啁啾光栅时出现带内群时延纹波波动较大等问题.提出了一种通过设计和改变切趾函数的参量来优化线性啁啾光栅的新方法.该方法实现简单.只需根据需要设计具有不同滚降特性的切趾函数,同时利用遗传箅法来优化切趾参量.结合传输矩阵法经过200代获得了低带内时延纹波的线性啁啾光栅.数值结果验证了采取非对称分段切趾法在保持反射谱宽和平坦性的同时可以抑制带内群时延纹波的优越性.利用该方法制作了反射谱工作带宽为1.06 nm、时延纹波不超过45.60 ps、可用于大容量密集波分复用系统(DWDM)色散补偿的线性啁啾光纤光栅. 相似文献

This paper provides an overview and technology update of a dispersion
management component made from chirped fiber Bragg gratings. The history and
technology of fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) have been extensively covered in
several excellent review articles, [1-6] book chapters, [7] and books. [8,9]
We give a brief overview of fiber Bragg grating technology in this section
and then focus on the details concerned with construction and performance of
dispersion management devices in optical communications systems with a
single broadband long-length grating used in reflection. Sampled chirped
grating are sometimes referred to as broadband devices, but they actually
have a narrow bandwidth of operation that is periodically repeated across a
given spectral range. Although these periodic devices have shown promise as
dispersion management devices in communications systems, they will not be

The limitation of the system with dispersion compensation by chirped fiber Bragg gratings is investigated in this paper. The transmission distance of the system based on chirped fiber Bragg gratings surpasses 3000 km. The bit error rate (BER) of the system is below 10−9 for as long as 2000 km. The BER is about 10−7 at 3000 km and, when forward error correction (FEC) is added, zero BER can be achieved. It is the longest transmission system with dispersion compensation by chirped fiber Bragg gratings. 相似文献

We derive the general conditions for which spectral Talbot phenomena, both integer and fractional self-imaging, can be observed in sampled arbitrarily chirped fiber Bragg gratings. These results are a generalization of those previously reported in [C. Wang, J. Azaña, L.R. Chen, Opt. Lett. 29(14) (2004) 1590] in which spectral Talbot phenomena were observed in sampled linearly chirped fiber Bragg gratings. We confirm our theoretical derivations with numerical simulations. 相似文献

理论研究并实验验证了一种含有两段π相移的啁啾相移光纤光栅.采用F矩阵对啁啾相移光纤光栅进行计算并分析了该光栅的谱特性.含有两段π相移的啁啾相移光纤光栅可以在普通啁啾光栅透射谱阻带中产生双波长透射峰,透射峰位置直接取决于光栅中π相移的位置,透射峰的线宽和透射峰的波长间隔没有关系,仅随着啁啾率的增大而增大.采用带相位掩模的逐点扫描法对含有两段π相移的双波长啁啾相移光栅进行了制作,获得波长间隔为8 nm的双波长透射谱的光栅器件.该光栅的消光比和3 dB谱线宽分别为20 dB和0.08 nm,实验结果和理论设计一致. 相似文献

Apodization is a crucial technology for improving the dispersion performance of fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs). In this paper, we focus on how to select an optimal apodization for chirped fiber Bragg gratings and demonstrate a novel apodization selection method capable of choosing the optimal apodization based on the relationship between the bandwidth change and variation in average group delay ripple (GDR). Compared with current approaches, the novel method can select an optimal apodization profile and parameter for FBGs easily and accurately. Two numerical experiments are used to demonstrate the advantages of this method, one exhibits the different performances of five different apodization profiles, the other evaluates the influence of FBG parameters such as grating length, period, chirp, and index change on the apodization performance. 相似文献

提出了一种结构新颖的Sagnac干涉仪,分析计算了所含光纤光栅分别为均匀Bragg光栅和线 性啁啾光栅时的透射响应,得到了均匀光栅Sagnac环的解析解,发现含均匀光栅时可得到间隔均匀的通带结构,而含啁啾光纤光栅时只能得到间隔非均匀的通带结构.这两种结构都可 能有应用价值,前者可用在密集波分复用系统中,后者可用在光纤传感领域中.实验制作了 两种通带间隔不同的、通带数分别为8和16的多通带滤波器,实验证实了理论计算得到的结果.

Asymmetrically apodized linearly chirped fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) are shown to have highly linearized time-delay response. In simulations of a five-stage, 5-cm grating-based dispersion compensation system, asymmetrically apodized FBGs are shown to give over 60% reduction in the energy scattered from the main pulse body, 16 ps?60 ps pulses propagated over 800 km, as compared to a symmetrically apodized grating of similar length, strength, and bandwidth. 相似文献

非对称切趾对啁啾光纤光栅特性优化的分析 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
基于对啁啾光纤布拉格光栅反射谱和时延曲线的分析,引入非对称切趾技术。综合时延曲线纹波和反射谱纹波平滑两方面考虑,将对称切趾技术的最佳切趾比例、左移和右移两种非对称切趾技术以及采用不同切趾函数对光纤光栅特性参量的优化效果进行了分析和比较。结果表明,与对称切趾相比,左移非对称切趾可避免对称切趾中为增大反射谱带宽而减小切趾比例使时延纹波增大的缺点,在保持反射谱纹波基本不变的前提下将时延曲线纹波降低了43.5%(与实验结果39.9%相吻合)。此外,与仅用汉明函数切趾相比,光纤光栅左端采用超高斯函数、右端采用汉明函数的非对称切趾方式使反射谱平坦部分纹波减小了89.3%,对应的时延曲线拟合误差减小了16.7%,获得了更好的优化效果。 相似文献
