By introducing the Y3+ into Sr2P2O7:Eu2+, we successfully prepared a kind of new phosphor with blue long-lasting phosphorescence by the high-temperature solid-state reaction method. In this paper, the properties of Sr2P2O7:Eu2+,Y3+ were investigated utilizing XRD, photoluminescence, luminescence decay, long-lasting phosphorescence and thermoluminescence (TL) spectra. The phosphor emitted blue light that was related to the 4f65d1-8S7/2 transition of Eu2+. The bright blue phosphorescence could be observed by naked eyes even 8 h after the excitation source was removed. Two TL peaks at 317 and 378 K related to two types of defects appeared in the TL spectrum. By analyzing the TL curve the depths of traps were calculated to be 0.61 and 0.66 eV. Also, the mechanism of LLP was discussed in this report.  相似文献

A novel blue-emitting long-lasting phosphor Sr3Al10SiO20:Eu2+,Ho3+ is prepared by the conventional high-temperature solid-state technique and their luminescent properties are investigated. XRD, photoluminescence (PL) and thermoluminescence (TL) are used to characterize the synthesized phosphors. These phosphors are well crystallized by calcinations at 1500-1600 °C for 3 h. The phosphor emits blue light and shows long-lasting phosphorescence after it is excited with 254/365 nm ultraviolet light. TL curves reveal the introduction of Ho3+ ions into the Sr3Al10SiO20:Eu2+ host produces a highly dense trap level at appropriate depth, which is the origin of the long-lasting phosphorescence in this kind of material. The long-lasting phosphorescence lasts for nearly 6 h in the light perception of the dark-adapted human eye (0.32 mcd/m2). All the results indicate that this phosphor has promising potential practical applications.  相似文献

Y2O3:Eu3+ phosphor films have been developed by using the sol-gel process. Comprehensive characterization methods such as Photoluminescent (PL) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy were used to characterize the Y2O3:Eu3+ phosphor films. In this experiment, the XRD profiles show that the Y2O3:Eu3+ phosphor films crystallization temperature and optimum annealing temperature occur at about 650 and 750 °C, respectively. The optimum dopant concentration is 12 mol% Eu3+ and the critical transfer distance (Rc) among Eu3+ ions is calculated to be about 0.84 nm. Vacuum environment is more efficient than oxygen and nitrogen to eliminate the OH content and hence yields higher luminescent phosphor films. The PL emission intensity of Y2O3:Eu3+ phosphor films is also dependent on the annealing time. It was found that the H2O impurities were effectively eliminated after annealing time of 25 s at 750 °C in vacuum environment. From the experiment results, the schematic energy band diagram of Y2O3:Eu3+ phosphor films is constructed.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a detailed investigation of the thermo-luminescence (TL) kinetics of the long afterglow phosphor, Sr4Al14O25:Eu2+,Dy3+, synthesized by the combustion method. Kinetic parameters such as the activation energy (Eα), the frequency factor (s) and the order of kinetics (b) were calculated using Chen's formulism. The crystalline structure of the phosphor was examined using X-ray powder diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. The average particle size was found to be in the range of 45–52 nm. The optimum dopant concentrations were Eu (1 mol%) and that of Dy (2 mol%). The TL response of the phosphor was monitored after the samples were irradiated with a γ-dose using a 60Co source in the 20-800 Gy range. A broad TL peak, (stretching from 328 to 410 K) with a maximum at 368 K was observed. With increasing irradiation dose, the main peak shifts toward higher temperatures. Symmetry factor calculations show that the main TL glow peak obeys second-order kinetics, which could be attributed to the creation of deep level traps. This means that γ-ray irradiation greatly affects the distribution of traps in the Sr4Al14O25:Eu2+,Dy3+ phosphor. The phosphor showed a linear response with γ-dose.  相似文献

This paper reports the photoluminescence and afterglow behavior of Eu2+ and Eu3+ in Sr3Al2O6 matrix co-doped with Dy3+. The samples containing Eu2+ and Eu3+ were prepared via solid-state reaction. X-ray diffraction (XRD), photo luminescent spectroscope (PLS) and thermal luminescent spectroscope (TLS) were employed to characterize the phosphors. The comparison between the emission spectra revealed that Sr3Al2O6 phosphors doped with Eu2+, Dy3+ and Eu3+, Dy3+ showed different photoluminescence. The phosphor doped with Eu3+, Dy3+ showed an intrinsic f-f transition generated from Eu3+, with two significant emissions at 591 and 610 nm. However, the phosphor doped with Eu2+, Dy3+ revealed a broad d-f emission centering around 512 nm. After the UV source was turned off, Eu2+, Dy3+ activated Sr3Al2O6 phosphor showed excellent afterglow while Eu3+, Dy3+ activated phosphor almost showed no afterglow. Thermal simulated luminescence study indicated that the persistent afterglow of Sr3Al2O6: Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphor was generated by suitable electron traps formed by the co-doped rare-earth ions (Dy3+) within the host.  相似文献

The thermoluminescence glow curves of Sr2MgSi2O7: Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphor were measured after various delay times. A single trap center is confirmed that conforms to a kinetics model with order greater than 1, leading to a suppression of TL intensity and a high temperature shift of the TL peak with longer delay times. A constant trap depth supports this phenomenon. Further, the decay curve of the afterglow and the change in initial trapped carrier concentration can be fitted using general-order kinetics and the fitting results show that the afterglow is close to a second-order kinetics process, which implies that most of the released carriers are retrapped.  相似文献

Eu3+-doped LiGd(MoO4)2 red phosphor was synthesized by solid-state reaction, and its photoluminescent properties were measured. The effect of Eu3+ doping concentration on PL intensity was investigated, and the optimum concentration of Eu3+ doped in LiGd(MoO4)2 was found to be 30 mol%. Compared with Y2O2S:0.05Eu3+, Na0.5Gd0.5MoO4:Eu3+ and KGd(MoO4)2:Eu3+, the LiGd(MoO4)2:Eu3+ phosphor showed a stronger excitation band around 395 nm and a higher intensity red emission of Eu3+ under 395 nm light excitation. For the first time, intensive red light-emitting diodes (LEDs) were fabricated by combining phosphor and a 395 nm InGaN chip, confirming that the LiGd(MoO4)2:Eu3+ phosphor is a good candidate for LED applications.  相似文献

Long afterglow green phosphor SrAl2O4:Eu2+,Dy3+ is synthesized by a solid-state reaction method at 1350 °C under mild reducing atmosphere of activated carbon. The effects of B2O3 flux on the sintering dynamic process and the optimum concentrations of Eu2+ and Dy3+ for long-lasting bright luminescence property have been investigated. The effect of a small amount of charge compensators like Mg2+, Zn2+, Na+, and K+ on long persistence has also been studied. TG/DTA, SEM, and XRD have been used to characterize the synthesized phosphor.  相似文献

Red-emitting Y2O3:Eu3+ and green-emitting Y2O3:Tb3+ and Y2O3:Eu3+, Tb3+ nanorods were synthesized by hydrothermal method. Their structure and micromorphology have been analyzed by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The photoluminescence (PL) property of Y2O3:Eu3+,Tb3+ phosphor was investigated. In the same host (Y2O3), upon excitation with ultraviolet (UV) irradiation, it is shown that there are strong emissions at around 610 and 545 nm corresponding to the forced electric dipole 5D0-7F2 transition of Eu3+ and 5D4-7F5 transition of Tb3+, respectively. Different qualities of Eu3+and Tb3+ ions are induced into the Y2O3 lattice. From the excitation spectrum, we speculate that there exists energy transfer from Tb3+ to Eu3+ ions .The emission color of powders reveals regular change in the separation of light emission. These powders can meet with the request of optical display material for different colors or can be potentially used as labels for biological molecules.  相似文献

A new long afterglow phosphor Y2O2S:Ti4+, Mg2+ co-doped with Gd3+ and Lu3+ was synthesized by solid-state reaction in inert gas ambient. Its properties were systematically analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), luminescence spectra, afterglow decay curves and thermoluminescence (TL) spectra. It was found that the long afterglow performance of Y2O2S:Ti4+, Mg2+ such as brightness and persistent time was largely improved when co-doped with Gd3+ and Lu3+. By analyzing the TL curve the activation energy E were calculated to be 0.64 eV for 388 K peak and 0.98 eV for 508 K peak, and the trap intensity related to 388 K peak is much stronger than that related to 508 K peak. The mechanism of the long afterglow was also discussed in this paper.  相似文献

Rare earth elements (RE = Eu3+& Dy3+)and Bi3+ doped Y2O3 nanoparticles were synthesized by urea hydrolysis method in ethylene glycol, which acts as reaction medium as well as a capping agent, at a low temperature of 140 °C,followed by calcination of the obtained product. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) images reveals that ovoid shaped Y2O3 nanoparticles of around 22–24 nm size range were obtained in this method. The respective RE and Bi3+ doped Y2O3 precursor nanoparticles when heated at 600 and 750 °C, retains the same shape as that of the as-synthesized Y2O3 precursor samples. From EDAX spectra, the incorporation of RE ions into the host has been studied. XRD pattern reveals the crystalline nature of the heated nanoparticles and indicate the absence of any impurity phase other than cubic Y2O3.However, the as-synthesized nanoparticles were highly amorphous without the presence of any sharp XRD peaks. Photoluminescence study suggests that the synthesized samples could be used as red (Eu3+), yellow (Dy3+), blue and green (Bi3+)emitting phosphors.  相似文献

The BaGd2?x O4:xDy3+ (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.08) phosphors were synthesized at 1,300 °C in air by the solid-state reaction route. The as-synthesized phosphors were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, photoluminescence excitation spectra, photoluminescence (PL) spectra, X-ray excited luminescence (XEL) spectra, and thermoluminescence (TL) spectra. It is found that the quenching concentration of Dy3+ ions in BaGd2O4 host is dependent on the selected excitation wavelength. The optimal PL intensity for the investigated BaGd2?x O4:xDy3+ phosphors is found to be x = 0.01, 0.02, and 0.04, upon excitation by 234, 277, and 350 nm ultraviolet light, respectively. The energy transfer among Dy3+ ions upon excitation by 350 nm is confirmed to be an electric dipole–dipole interaction mechanism based on the fitting of Huang’s rule. In addition, the intensive XEL from BaGd2O4:Dy3+ phosphor is observed by the naked eyes at room temperature, and TL properties of the investigated phosphors are analyzed and discussed. All the results imply that the investigated phosphors could be a promising scintillating phosphor.  相似文献

Undoped and Eu3+ doped BaTa2O6 phosphors were synthesized via solid state reaction method and characterized by using XRD, SEM-EDS and photoluminescence (PL) analyses. The XRD results revealed that the crystal structure of BaTa2O6 allowed up to 10 mol% levels of Eu3+ ions due to the TTB characteristic network of adjacent octahedrals. SEM-EDS analyses confirmed the formation of BaTa2O6 structure and EuTaO4 secondary phase. BaTa2O6:Eu3+ phosphors exhibited orange and red emissions at 592.2 nm and 615.7 nm in the visible region respectively. The Commission Internationale d’Eclairage (CIE) chromaticity coordinates of the BaTa2O6:Eu3+ phosphors that excited at λ ex = 400 nm ranged from orangish-red to pinkish-red depending on increasing Eu3+ concentration.  相似文献

Y2O3:Eu3+, Tb3+ phosphors with white emission are prepared with different doping concentration of Eu3+ and Tb3+ ions and synthesizing temperatures from 750 to 950 °C by the co-precipitation method. The resulted phosphors were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The results of XRD indicate that the crystallinity of the synthesized samples increases with enhancing the firing temperature. The photoluminescence spectra indicate the Eu3+ and Tb3+ co-doped Y2O3 phosphors show five main emission peaks: three at 590, 611 and 629 nm originate from Eu3+ and two at 481 and 541 nm originate from Tb3+, under excitation of 250-320 nm irradition. The white light luminescence color could be changed by varying the excitation wavelength. Different concentrations of Eu3+ and Tb3+ ions were induced into the Y2O3 lattice and the energy transfer from Tb3+→Eu3+ ions in these phosphors was found. The Commission International de l’Eclairage (CIE) chromaticity shows that the Y2O3:Eu3+, Tb3+ phosphors can obtain an intense white emission.  相似文献

Ca2B2O5:RE (RE = Eu3+, Tb3+, Dy3+) nanofibers were synthesized by the hydrothermal reaction method. The structural refinement was conducted on the base of the X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) measurements. The surface properties of the Ca2B2O5:RE (RE = Eu3+, Tb3+, Dy3+) nanofibers were investigated by the measurements such as the scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and the energy dispersive spectrum (EDS). The nanofiber has a diameter of about 100 nm and a length of several micrometers. The luminescence properties such as photoluminescence excitation (PLE) and emission spectra (PL), decay lifetime, color coordinates, and the absolute internal quantum efficiency (QE) were reported. Ca2B2O5:Eu3+ nanofibers show the red luminescence with CIE coordinates of (x = 0.41, y = 0.51) and the luminescence lifetime of 0.63 ms. The luminescence of Ca2B2O5:Tb3+ nanofibers is green color (x = 0.29, y = 0.53) with the lifetime of 2.13 ms. However, Dy3+-doped Ca2B2O5 nanofibers present a single-phase white-color phosphor with the fluorescence decay of 3.05 ms. Upon near-UV excitation, the absolute quantum efficiency is measured to be 65, 35, and 37 % for Eu3+-, Tb3+-, Dy3+-doped Ca2B2O5 nanofibers, respectively. It is suggested that Ca2B2O5:RE (RE = Eu3+, Tb3+, Dy3+) nanofibers could be an efficient phosphor for lighting and display.  相似文献

The blue-emitting CaAl2B2O7:Eu2+ phosphor was prepared at 800 °C by a modified solid-state reaction. The results of X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) analysis confirmed the formation of CaAl2B2O7:Eu2+. Photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy showed that the phosphor could be excited efficiently by UV-vis light from 250 to 410 nm, and exhibit blue emission (460 nm). The emission intensity of CaAl2B2O7:Eu2+ phosphor varies with the increase of Eu2+concentration. The mechanism of resonance-type energy transfer from Eu2+ to Eu2+ was established to be electric multipole-multipole interaction. TEM images showed that the grain size of CaAl2B2O7:Eu2+ is about 45 nm, which is in full agreement with the theoretical calculation data from the XRD patterns.  相似文献

In this paper, a novel phosphor, Y6W2O15:Eu3+ was synthesized by thermal decomposition and phase transition of its decatungstate gel precursor. With stepwise increase of temperature to 750 °C, a crystalline phase of Y6W2O15:Eu3+forms that gives intense red emission when excited at 466 nm, the emission is attributed to the Eu3+ ions transitions from 5D0 excited states to 7FJ (J=0-4) ground states. The long excitation wavelength proves the Eu3+ transition follows the photoexcitation of the oxygen-metal (O→W lmct) charge transfer bands in yttrium tungstate. Some structural information regarding Y6W2O15 provided by luminescence is in accord with that characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The long-wavelength excitation properties of this material may find application in the production of red phosphors for white light-emitting diodes (LEDs).  相似文献

Blue phosphor, LiSrPO4:Eu2+, was prepared by solid-state reaction method under a weak reductive atmosphere and investigated by means of photoluminescence, concentration quenching process, and temperature dependence of luminescence. These results show that LiSrPO4:Eu2+ can be efficiently excited by the UV-visible light of 250–440 nm and exhibits bright blue emission. Furthermore, Eu2+-doped LiSrPO4 phosphor shows high thermally stable luminescence comparable to commercial phosphor BaMgAl10O17:Eu2+ (BAM). Two bright blue LEDs were fabricated by incorporating an InGaN-based near-UV chip with the obtained phosphor LiSrPO4:Eu2+ and BAM, respectively. Their luminescence properties were compared based on different forward-bias currents. All the characteristics suggest that LiSrPO4:Eu2+ is a good blue phosphor candidate for creating white light in phosphor-conversion white LEDs.  相似文献

Green-emitting phosphor Na2Ba2Si2O7:Eu2+ has been synthesized by a conventional high-temperature solid-state reaction. The phase structure and luminescence properties are characterized by the X-ray powder diffraction, diffuse reflectance spectra, photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra, temperature-dependent emission spectra, respectively. It can be efficiently excited in the wavelength range of 325–400 nm and consists of a strong broad green band centered at about 501 nm, which is ascribed to 4f66s05d1 → 4f76s25d0 transition of Eu2+. The critical quenching concentration of Eu2+ in the Na2Ba2Si2O7 host is about 0.8 mol % and corresponding quenching behavior is ascribed to be electric dipole–dipole interaction. Furthermore, the phosphor has good thermal stability property, and the activation energy for thermal quenching is calculated as 0.34 eV.
