Toroidal multipoles have recently been explored in various scientific communities, ranging from atomic and molecular physics, electrodynamics, and solid‐state physics to biology. Here we experimentally and numerically demonstrate a three‐dimensionsal toroidal metamaterial where two different toroidal dipoles along orthogonal directions have been observed. The chosen toroidal metamaterial also simultaneously supports Fano resonance and the classical analog of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) phenomena in the transmission spectra that originate from the electric–toroidal dipole and electric–magnetic dipole destructive interference. The intriguing properties of the toroidal resonances may open up avenues for applications in toroidal moments generator, sensing and slow‐light devices.  相似文献

提出了一种基于PMA单元结构的超薄宽带完美吸波屏设计方法. 该方法将多层拓展带宽的技术与单层多谐振方法有机结合, 实现带宽拓展的同时, 保持了完美吸波屏结构简单、无集总元件的特点, 易于实际加工和应用. 以双层三谐振超薄宽带完美吸波屏为例, 结合其等效电路, 理论上验证了所设计吸波屏的吸波机理, 同时验证了方法的有效性. 仿真分析该吸波屏具有低雷达散射截面、极化不敏感和宽入射角的特征. 仿真和实测结果表明: 该吸波屏在厚度为0.01 λ的条件下, 具有14.1%的半波功率带宽;-3 dBsm的雷达散射截面缩减带宽为18.9%, 在法线方向的最大缩减量为23 dBsm, 在法向±40°内具有较好的雷达散射截面减缩效果. 关键词: 完美吸波屏 宽带 雷达散射截面 等效电路  相似文献

In this paper, an ultra-compact single negative(SNG) electric waveguided metamaterial(WG-MTM) is first investigated and used to reduce the mutual coupling in E H planes of a dual-band microstrip antenna array. The proposed SNG electric WG-MTM unit cell is designed by etching two different symmetrical spiral lines on the ground, and has two stopbands operating at 1.86 GHz and 2.40 GHz. The circuit size is very compact, which is only λ_0/33.6 ×λ_0/15.1(where λ_0 is the wavelength at 1.86 GHz in free space). Taking advantage of the dual-stopband property of the proposed SNG electric WG-MTM, a dual-band microstrip antenna array operating at 1.86 GHz and 2.40 GHz with very low mutual coupling is designed by embedding a cross shaped array of the proposed SNG electric WG-MTM. The measured and simulated results of the designed dual-band antenna array are in good agreement with each other, indicating that the mutual coupling of the fabricated dual-band antenna array realizes 9.8/11.1 d B reductions in the H plane, 8.5/7.9 d B reductions in the E plane at1.86 GHz and 2.40 GHz, respectively. Besides, the distance of the antenna elements in the array is only 0.35 λ_0(where λ_0 is the wavelength at 1.86 GHz in free space). The proposed strategy is used for the first time to reduce the mutual coupling in E H planes of the dual-band microstrip antenna array by using ultra-compact SNG electric WG-MTM.  相似文献

为了缩减天线带内雷达散射截面(radar cross section, RCS), 在双频带完美吸波材料的基础上, 通过缩小两吸波率峰值之间的距离, 设计出了一种频带较宽的超薄完美吸波体.该吸波体由两层金属及其中间的有耗介质组成, 底面金属不刻蚀, 顶面由方形贴片和绕其四周的开口方环组成, 该结构具有低频点LC谐振和高频点偶极子谐振的特征.仿真和实验结果表明: 该吸波体具有极化不敏感和宽入射角的特征, 其在厚度小于0.01λ的条件下, 具有8.2%的半波功率相对带宽, 最大吸波率的峰值为91.6%和96.5%. 将吸波体用于圆极化的倾斜波束 (tilted beam, TB)天线, 仿真和测试结果表明: 该天线在保持增益不变的条件下, 不仅轴比得到改善, 有效带宽得到拓展, 且在5.5–6.5 GHz范围内TB天线的RCS缩减至少在3 dBsm以上, 在谐振频点处最大缩减幅度分别为11 dBsm和8 dBsm; 在两谐振点处鼻锥方向-36°–+36°范围内, TB天线的RCS缩减均有明显效果. 关键词: 超薄完美吸波体 TB天线 雷达散射截面 圆极化  相似文献

In this paper, an ultra-broadband, wide-angle polarization-insensitive metamaterial absorber is designed at microwave frequencies. The absorber consists of a periodic array of metallic strips with the lumped resistances fabricated on a dielectric substrate with a ground plane. The proposed absorber is single-layered and symmetric, thus leading to very thin and polarization-insensitive characteristics. According to the surface current distributions, the proposed absorber can operate three resonant modes including two dipole resonances and an LC resonance. By adjusting the geometry and lumped resistances of the structure, three resonant modes can be effectively connected together, and thus an ultra-broadband response can be realized. The simulated and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed absorber produces a good absorption above 80% at normal incidence and above 60% at oblique incidence with the incident angle smaller than 45° between 6 and 16.2 GHz.  相似文献

仿真和实验验证了厚度极薄的平面结构超材料吸波体, 该吸波体采用加载交指电容的耶路撒冷十字结构, 通过增加单元间的耦合电容显著降低了其工作频率. 测试结果表明, 该超材料吸波体在1.58 GHz, 吸收率峰值为88.48%, 其厚度为2 mm, 约为1/95工作波长, 吸波体的单元尺寸为11 mm, 约为1/17工作波长. 此外, 通过金属通孔将耶路撒冷十字结构与金属底板相连接, 使其对斜入射横电和横磁极化电磁波具有宽角度吸收特性, 在60°时依然具有较高的吸收率, 且吸收峰频率几乎不发生偏移, 从而使其更具实用价值. 关键词: 极薄 宽角度 超材料吸波体  相似文献

In this paper, we report on a series of computational simulations on hydrogen bonding in two ice phases (Ih and Ic) using CASTEP with PW91 and RPBE exchange-correlation based on ab initio density functional theory. The strength of the H-bond is correlated with intramolecular O-H stretching, and the energy splitting exists for both the H-bond and covalent O-H stretching. By analyzing the dispersion relationship of to(q), we observe the separation of the longitudinal optic (LO) mode from transverse optic (TO) mode at the gamma point, seemingly interpreting the controversial two H-bond peaks in the vibrational spectrum of ice recorded by inelastic incoherent neutron scattering experiments. The test of ambient environment on phonon density of sates (PDOS) shows that the relaxed tetrahedral structure is the most stable structural configuration for water clusters.  相似文献

本文提出一种基于圆台形吸收单元的超宽带、极化不敏感的超材料太赫兹吸收器. 该超材料吸收器采用金属薄膜金和介质层二氧化硅交替叠加的多层结构. 采用商业软件CST Studio Suite 2009时域求解器计算了其在0–10 THz波段内的吸收率Aω),在2–10 THz之间实现了对入射太赫兹波的超宽频带强吸收. 仿真结果表明,由于其圆台形单元结构,在器件垂直方向上形成一系列不同尺寸的微型吸收器,产生了吸收频点相连的多频吸收峰. 利用不同吸收峰的耦合叠加效应,获得超过8 THz的超宽带太赫兹波吸收,吸收强度达到92.3%以上. 这一结构具有超宽带强吸收,360°极化不敏感以及易于加工等优越特性,因而在太赫兹波探测器、光谱成像以及隐身技术方面具有潜在的应用. 关键词: 太赫兹波 超材料吸收器 圆台结构 超宽带  相似文献

In this paper, we first propose a metamaterial structure by etching the same two interdigital fingers on the upper ground of quarter mode substrate integrated waveguide(QMSIW). The simulated results show that the proposed QMSIWbased metamaterial has a continuous phase constant changing from negative to positive values within its passband. A periodic leaky-wave antenna(LWA), which consists of 11 QMSIW-based metamaterial unit cells, is designed, fabricated,and measured. The measured results show that the fabricated antenna achieves a continuous beam scanning property from backward-43° to forward +32° over an operating frequencyrange of 8.9 GHz–11.8 GHz with return loss better than 10 d B.The measured antenna gain keeps consistent with the variation of less than 2 d B over the operating frequency range with a maximum gain of 12 d B. Besides, the measured and simulated results are in good agreement with each other, indicating the significance and effectiveness of this method.  相似文献

We develop a simple new design for a multi-band metamaterial absorber (MTMA) for radar applications. Computer Simulation Technology (CST) Studio Suite 2018 was used for the numerical analysis and absorption study. The simulated results show four high peaks at 5.6 GHz, 7.6 GHz, 10.98 GHz, and 11.29 GHz corresponding to absorption characteristics of 100%, 100%, 99%, and 99%, respectively. Furthermore, two different structures were designed and compared with the proposed MTMA. The proposed structure remained insensitive for any incident angle and polarization angle from 0° to 60°. Moreover, negative constitutive parameters were retrieved numerically. To support the simulated results, the proposed design was fabricated by using a computer numerical control-based printed circuit board prototyping machine and tested experimentally in a microwave laboratory. The absorption mechanism of the proposed MTMA is presented through the surface current and electric field distributions. The novelties of the proposed structure are a simple and new design, ease of fabrication, low cost, durability, suitability for real-time applications and long-term stability given the fabrication technique and non-destructive measurement method and very high absorption. The proposed structure has potential applications in C and X band frequency ranges.  相似文献

采用嵌入原子方法的原子间相互作用势,利用分子动力学模拟,详细研究不同角度入射的载能Ni原子在Pt(111)基体表面的沉积过程.结果表明,随着入射角度θ从0°增加到80°,溅射产额、表面吸附原子产额、空位产额的变化情况均可按入射角度近似地分为θ≤20°,20° < θ < 60°和θ≥60°三个区域.当θ≤20°时,载能沉积对基体表面的影响与垂直入射时的情况类似,表面吸附原子的分布较为集中,入射原子容易达到基体表面第二层及以下,对基体内部晶格产生-定的影响;在20° < θ < 60°的范围内,入射原子的注入深度有所下降,对基体内部晶格的影响减小,表面吸附原子的分布较为均匀,有利于薄膜的均匀成核与层状生长;当θ≥60°时,所有入射原子均直接被基体表面反射,表面吸附原子产额、溅射产额、表面空位产额均接近0,载能沉积作用没有体现.  相似文献

提出了由石墨烯和两对对称开口谐振环构成的等离激元诱导透明(PIT)超材料结构,该PIT超材料结构之间的耦合形式为暗-亮-暗模式.通过有限元方法模拟,观察到双PIT透明窗口,通过改变石墨烯的费米能级或者改变开口谐振环的几何参数来动态地调制PIT窗口.理论结果表明,当石墨烯与两对对称的开口谐振环之间的相互作用距离为0.5 μm、石墨烯费米能级为1.5 eV时,可得到最优的双透明窗口.双PIT效应在非线性器件、可调谐传感器、开关和慢光器件等方面有潜在的应用价值.  相似文献

提出利用超材料吸波体减缩波导缝隙阵列天线带内雷达散射截面的设计方法. 设计具有超薄(厚度仅为0.01λ, λ为吸波体中心频率对应波长)、无表面损耗层和高吸波率的超材料吸波体, 将其加载到波导缝隙天线E面方向辐射缝隙间的金属表面上, 并与辐射缝隙保持一定的间距. 该加载方式没有破坏天线的口径馈电振幅分布, 并利用超材料吸波体对电磁波的强吸收特性降低了天线阵的结构模式项散射. 仿真和实验结果表明, 加载超材料吸波体后天线阵的反射系数、增益、波瓣宽度保持不变, 在x极化和y极化条件下, 波导缝隙阵列天线的带内雷达散射截面减缩量均在6 dB 以上, 且在-25°-+25°范围内天线雷达散射截面均有明显的减缩, 鼻锥方向减缩超过10 dB. 该研究成果对阵列天线雷达散射截面减缩具有重要的借鉴意义和工程应用价值.  相似文献

This paper presents a multi-band metamaterial absorber comprising three multi-gap split-ring resonators (SRRs) with different radii and ring widths, designed in combinatorial approach. Experiments demonstrate that it can perform absorption peaks at three resonant frequencies 7.10 GHz, 10.04 GHz, and 17.44 GHz with the absorption of 99.90%, 99.91%, and 99.68%, respectively. The physical mechanism of metamaterial absorber was explained through numerical calculation and simulation, which showed that three absorption peaks were caused respectively by the three four-gap SRRs. The absorber is insensitive to incident angles and polarization states, so it has broad prospect of application.  相似文献

采用基于第一性原理的赝势平面波方法, 对BiTiO3的多种结构进行了计算. 计算结果表明, C1C1结构最为稳定, 对应晶格参数为a=b=5.606 Å, c=9.954 Å; α=β=105.1°, γ=61.2°. 进一步对C1C1结构的BiTiO3的能带结构、电子性质和光学性质进行了研究, 发现BiTiO3是间接带隙半导体, 其费米面附近的能带主要由Ti-3d和O-2p层的电子态构成. 通过介电函数、复折射率和反射率等的研究, 发现BiTiO3的光学性质为近各向同性.  相似文献

We report a metamaterial absorber (MA) with a broad absorption band in the frequency region of 2–4 GHz, whose thickness is not limited to the quarter-wavelength. Theoretical and experimental results show that the absorber has two adjacent absorption apexes at 2.24 and 3.46 GHz, respectively, which are both related to the electric and magnetic resonances of the metamaterial. The absorption is over 68% in the whole wave band of 2–4 GHz provided the thickness of 4 mm. The distributions of the surface currents and the power loss density indicate that the surface currents produced by the electric and magnetic resonances are strongly consumed by the resistive patches. This low-frequency absorber has potential applications in many scientific and martial fields.  相似文献

In this study, we design, prepare and characterize a broadband, ultra-low reflectivity and incidence angle-insensitive metamaterial absorber. The design of this absorber not only provides a novel idea for the design of broadband absorbers, but also enhances the application prospects of metamaterial absorbers. By introducing FeSiAlp/epoxy magnetic composite and optimizing the structural parameters, the absorption performance of the metamaterial absorber has been significantly improved. The effective absorption bandwidth (bandwidth with reflectivity less than −10dB) is increased by 3.4 times from 2.19 GHz to 7.49 GHz, and the RLmin (minimum reflection loss) value reaches −38.31 dB at 17.83 GHz, that is the absorption rate reaches 99.99%. Meanwhile, the experimental results also verify the simulation design results. Therefore, the absorber not only plays the characteristics of strong absorption of metamaterial, but also absorbs the advantages of broadband of magnetic material.  相似文献

The scattering of nanoparticles plays a profound role in the recently flourishing fields of plasmonics and metamaterials. However, current investigations into nanoparticle scattering are based on the electric and magnetic resonances only, where their toroidal counterparts are usually not considered. The inclusion of toroidal terms can render new explanations for some fundamental scattering properties and thus may stimulate further breakthroughs in both scattering‐related basic researches and applications. Here we revisit the most fundamental problem of Mie scattering by individual spherical nanoparticles and show that compared to conventional interpretations in terms of electric and magnetic responses, the roles played by their toroidal counterparts are indispensable. Based on the demonstration of efficient toroidal dipole excitation in homogeneous dielectric particles, we reveal that the extensively studied scattering transparencies of core–shell nanoparticles can actually be classified into two categories: (i) the trivial transparency with no effective multipole excitations and (ii) the non‐trivial transparency induced by the destructive interferences of excited electric and toroidal multipoles. The incorporation of toroidal multipoles offers new insights into the study of nanoparticle scattering in both near and far fields, which may shed new light on many applications, such as biosensing, imaging, nanoantennas, photovoltaic devices, and so on.
