We construct a new type of photon-added squeezed coherent state generated by repeatedly operating the bosonic creation operator on a new type of squeezed coherent state [Fan H Y and Xiao M 1996 Phys. Lett. A 220 81]. We find that its normalization factor is related to single-variable Hermite polynomials. Furthermore, we investigate its statistical properties, such as Mandel’s Q parameter, photon-number distribution, and Wigner function. The nonclassicality is displayed in terms of the intense oscillation of photon-number distribution and the negativity of the Wigner function.  相似文献

We investigate the observable non-classical features of the photon-added compass state (PACS) by its sub-Poissonian statistics, such as the Mandel’s parameter, second-order correlation function, photon-number distribution and the quasi-probability distribution functions, peculiarly the negativity in the Wigner distribution of the PACS as the specific non-classical features. We study the squeezing properties of the PACS and find the PACS does not show squeezing properties of the quadrature. Finally, we give the non-Gaussianity of the PACS by the fidelity between the PACS and the squeezed coherent state (SCS).  相似文献

Photon-added squeezing-enhanced vacuum state (PASEVS) is introduced. We analyze the nonclassical effects in the PASEVS, such as Q-function, photon-number distribution and second-order function, etc. For the PASEVS, it shows that the degree of the squeezing increases with the parameter r and reaches to the maximum degree of squeezing ?1 quickly. The Wigner functions of the PASEVS are also discussed. Furthermore, the production of the PASEVS is also given experimentally.  相似文献

We analyze the statistical properties and decoherence of the field states produced by adding any number of photons to the Schrodinger Cat states (SCSs) in a thermal environment. It is found that the normalization factor of PA-SCS is the Hermite polynomial of the coherent factor α. The statistical properties and decoherence is discussed by deriving analytically the time evolution of the Q-function, Wigner function and the photon-number distribution. It is shown that the single photon-added even SCSs, the Wigner function is always positive in the whole phase space when κt exceeds the threshold value $\frac{1}{2}\ln [ ( 2\bar{n}+2 ) / ( 2\bar{n}+1 ) ] $ . This implies that the single photon-added even SCSs possesses a robustness due to the presence of photon-addition, which can also be seen from the point of view of the volume of negative region of Wigner function.  相似文献

Using thermal entangled state representation,we solve the master equation of a diffusive anharmonic oscillator(AHO) to obtain the exact time evolution formula for the density operator in the infinitive operator-sum representation.We present a new evolution formula of the Wigner function(WF) for any initial state of the diffusive AHO by converting the WF calculation into an overlap between two pure states in an enlarged Fock space.It is found that this formula is very convenient in investigating the WF’s evolution of any known initial state.As applications,this formula is used to obtain the evolution of the WF for a coherent state and the evolution of the photon-number distribution of diffusive AHOs.  相似文献

In this paper, we present the density operator of the generalized squeezed thermal state (GSTS) and obtain its normal ordering form by virtue of the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators and the Weyl ordering invariance under similarity transformations. Some significant quantum statistical properties of the GSTS are investigated, such as the photon-number distribution (PND) and the Wigner function (WF). It is found that the PND of the GSTS is a Legendre polynomial, and its squeezed vacuum oscillations imply the nonclassicality, as well as the GSTS whose WF has no negative region is indeed a special type of nonclassical state.  相似文献

This paper introduces the generalized excited pair coherent state (GEPCS). Using the entangled state 〈η〉 representation of Wigner operator, it obtains the Wigner function for the GEPCS. In the ρ-γ phase space, the variations of the Wigner function distributions with the parameters q, α, k and l are discussed. The tomogram of the GEPCS is calculated with the help of the Radon transform between the Wigner operator and the projection operator of the entangled state |η1, η2, τ1, τ2|. The entangled states |η〉 and |η1, η2, τ1, τ2〉 provide two good representative space for studying the Wigner functions and tomograms of various two-mode correlated quantum states.  相似文献

We investigate quantum properties of pulsed light fields point by point in phase space. We probe the negative region of the Wigner function of a single photon generated by the means of waveguided parametric down conversion. This capability is achieved by employing loss-tolerant photon-number resolving detection, allowing us to directly observe the oscillations of the photon statistics in dependence of applied displacements in phase space. Our scheme is highly mode sensitive and can reveal the single-mode character of the signal state.  相似文献

研究了由光子增减叠加操作作用于相干态而得量子态的非经典性及其在热环境中的退相干问题.通过解析导出了Mandel's Q参数、光子数分布、Wigner函数等,讨论其非经典性.研究表明一阶光子增减相干叠加相干态在相空间总是取负值,只要满足条件∣2z* +α-α*∣2<1.基于Wigner函数的演化积分公式,解析地推导出了在热环境中Wigner函数的简洁表达式.研究首次表明:如果κt<1/2ln[(2(η)+2)/(2(η)+1)]得以满足,一阶光子增减相干叠加相干态在相空间最小值点处Wigner函数分布总存在负部.此外,根据Wigner函数负部体积讨论了其非经典特性.  相似文献

We propose and study a new kind of superposition states: even-and odd-displaced squeezed states, defined as [D(z)+D(-z)]S(γ)|0> and [D(z)-D(-z)]S(γ)|0>, which are characteristic of possessing even and odd photon numbers respectively. We use a photon-number-resolving detector to monitor the photon-number distribution of the output of an interferometer, as a function of phase delay. As inputs we use coherent states with mean photon number up to seven. The postselection of a specific Fock (photon-number) state effectively induces high-order optical nonlinearities. Following a scheme by Bentley and Boyd [Opt. Express 12, 5735 (2004).10.1364/OPEX.12.005735], we explore this effect to demonstrate interference patterns a factor of 5 smaller than the Rayleigh limit.  相似文献

We introduce a kind of generalized Wigner operator, whose normally ordered form can lead to the bivariate normal distribution in p-q phase space. We investigate the Wigner distribution function of the general time-dependent quadratic-Hamiltonian quantum system with the Lewis–Riesenfeld invariant operator method. The photon-number distribution of lasers generated via pump-noise suppression is derived in the photon-number representation. The derivation shows that the negative probability emerging in the calculation of the photon-number distribution in the photon-number representation is not caused by the representation itself but by the truncation of the master equation. Here without truncating the master equation we derive the characteristic function and the distribution function of the photon-number distribution of the laser system with regular pump and with spontaneous atomic decays being eliminated. It is convenient to use the characteristic function to calculate any order of the moment of the photon-number distribution. Such a method can be used to some more general cases, in which the laser system has imperfectly regular pump and the spontaneous atomic decays are also considered.  相似文献

碱金属原子是光量子存储的良好介质,与碱金属原子共振的非经典光场是量子信息处理的重要资源.本文采用周期极化磷酸氧钛晶体作为非线性介质,利用参量振荡过程产生了795 nm(铷原子D1线)的真空压缩光场.通过对平衡零拍探测系统的时域信号进行采集,得到压缩光场不同相位角下的噪声分布;利用极大似然估计法对压缩光场进行了态重构,得到了密度矩阵及相空间的Wigner函数.理论计算了真空压缩场的光子数分布和Wigner函数,并对理论计算结果和极大似然重构结果进行了分析和比较.  相似文献

The temperature and pressure dependence of the Mössbauer γ-ray energy shift of 57Fe in natural iron, has been analysed taking into account both the second order Doppler shift (S.O.D.) and the isomer shift (I.S.) contributions. The variation of the S.O.D. both with temperature and pressure, is calculated from the experimental phonon frequency distribution and that of the I.S. has been evaluated using the scaling with volume of the direct 4s electron density, |ψ4s(O)|2, as well as the indirect 3s electron density, |ψ3s(O)|2, at the nucleus; and including the electron transfer from the 4s to 3d band. Data from pressure stuides have been utilized to evaluate two parameters; the proportionality constant between the I.S. and |ψ(O)|2 and the number of electrons transferred with change of volume from the 4s to 3d band. It appears that in the case of a magnetic lattice such as iron, the temperature dependence of the S.O.D. calculated from the phonon distribution is inadequate to completely explain the observed energy shift, that instead a contribution arising from magnetization seems important; as is to be expected theoretically. On including a term proportional to the magnetizations, the calculated temperature variation of the I.S. compares well with that determined by us from the pressure studies of the γ-ray energy shift.  相似文献

We propose a quantum nondemolition measurement of the photon-number distribution for a two-mode cavity field. In the scheme two sequences of two-level atoms interact dispersively with the respective cavity modes and resonantly with two classical fields, and then are detected continually. The field finally reduces to a two-mode Fock state. The probability of collapsing to a given Fock state is determined by the initial photon-number distribution. The scheme can be easily generalized to a field with N modes.  相似文献
