考虑激子-双激子的相干效应, 解析地研究了半导体单量子点中探测光和信号光的吸收特性和非线性传播特性.结果发现, 在线性条件下, 单量子点中出现电磁感应透明现象; 进一步分析可得, 电磁感应透明所呈现的是单窗口或双窗口或光学增益均可通过调节控制光强加以控制.在非线性条件下, 弱信号光诱导弱探测光产生两个分量, 这两个分量在系统中所激发的自克尔和交叉克尔 非线性效应与系统的衍射效应相平衡从而形成稳定的亮-亮, 亮-暗, 暗-暗等空间光孤子对. 关键词: 半导体量子点 电磁感应透明 空间光孤子对  相似文献

An electromagnetically induced absorption grating is formed in a three-level atomic vapor under the condition of electromagnetically induced transparency in which the strong coupling beam is replaced by a standing wave. The transmission and reflection behaviors of the weak probe beam are greatly modified at certain frequencies near the two-photon resonance. An all-optical two-port signal router-all-optical switch is demonstrated.  相似文献

The propagation of a probe field through a four-level Y-type atomic system is described in the presence of two additional coherent radiation fields, namely, the control field and the coupling field. An expression for the probe response is derived analytically from the optical Bloch equations under steady state condition to study the absorptive properties of the system under probe field propagation through an ensemble of stationary atoms as well as in a Doppler broadened atomic vapor medium. The most striking result is the conversion of electromagnetically induced transparency(EIT) into electromagnetically induced absorption(EIA) as we start switching from weak probe regime to strong probe regime. The dependence of this conversion on residual Doppler averaging due to wavelength mismatch is also shown by choosing the coupling transition as a Rydberg transition.  相似文献

We theoretically investigate the optical absorption spectra and charge density by subjecting a GaAs quantum well to both an intense terahertz (THz)-frequency driving field and an optical pulse within the theory of density matrix. In presence of a strong THz field, the optical transitions in quantum well subbands are altered by the THz field. The alteration has a direct impact on the optical absorption and the charge density. The excitonic peak splitting and THz optical sideband in the absorption spectra show up when changing the THz field intensity and/or frequency. The Autler-Towns splitting is a result from the THz nonlinear dynamics of confined excitons. On the other hand, the carrier charge density is created as wave packets formed by coherent superposition of several eigenstates. The charge density exhibitsquantum beats for short pulses and/or wider wells and is modulated by the THz field.  相似文献

利用多重尺度法,解析地研究了V型五能级超冷原子电磁感应透明介质中弱的线偏振探测光的传播特性. 结果表明,仅考虑系统的线性效应,随着耦合光强度的增加,介质对探测光的吸收迅速减少,而探测光的传播速度逐渐增加,但比真空中的光速要低若干个数量级. 同时发现,在相同的外加磁场下探测光的非线性法拉第偏转方向与线性法拉第偏转相反,且偏转角更大. 这说明电磁感应透明介质中探测光的法拉第偏转主要是由系统的非线性效应调控. 关键词: 电磁感应透明 非线性法拉第偏转  相似文献

采用一束相干外场作用在倒Y模型原子的基态与另外状态构成的跃迁上,实现对单光子和双光子电磁诱导透明谱的调制。经研究发现相干外场对单光子和双光子的吸收性质有类似的影响效果。由于相干外场的作用,吸收谱的共振点附近出现吸收峰将原单重透明谱分裂为双重透明谱。诱导的吸收峰的高度和透明谱的频谱宽度与相干外场的强度有密切关系。并用缀饰态理论解释了这些物理现象。这些研究对多通道光通信以及对原子光学性质的调控方面有积极意义。  相似文献

Several absorption and dispersion spectra of a probe and a coupling laser of different polarisations generating electromagnetically induced absorption in atomic caesium were measured and compared. In the case of at least one linearly polarised laser, electromagnetically induced absorption and absorption within transparency were observed for the probe and coupling laser, respectively. For laser beams of counter-rotating circular polarisation the coupling absorption spectra changed from absorption within transparency to transparency within transparency once the medium was saturated. However, the corresponding parametric dispersion spectra remained unchanged in structure.  相似文献

The excitonic nonlinear optical responses due to exciton-phonon interactions in strongly coupled exciton-phonon systems are investigated theoretically. It is shown that the influence of exciton-phonon interactions on the nonlinear optical absorptions and Kerr nonlinear coefficients is significant as the signal field frequency detuning from the exciton frequency approaches to the optical phonon frequency. Laser-induced quantum coherence in a semiconductor quantum well   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
The phenomenon of electromagnetically induced quantum coherence is demonstrated between three confined electron subband levels in a quantum well which are almost equally spaced in energy. Applying a strong coupling field, two-photon resonant with the 1-3 intersubband transition, produces a pronounced narrow transparency feature in the 1-2 absorption line. This result can be understood in terms of all three states being simultaneously driven into "phase-locked" quantum coherence by a single coupling field. We describe the effect theoretically with a density matrix method and an adapted linear response theory.  相似文献

A novel scheme for a solid-state single-photon router based on a single quantum dot (QD) coupled to a nanomechanical resonator (NR) is proposed and analyzed theoretically. It relies on the coherent coupling between the quantum dot and the NR. We demonstrate that when a single-photon signal is tuned on resonance with the exciton in the QD, one can use a strong pump field to choose to what output port of this signal field is delivered, which is based on the analogue of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) effect which we refer it as phonon induced transparency (PIT) in this coupled system. The path between the reflection output port and the transmission output port can be achieved by simply turning off and on the pump field. The numerical results also indicate that this router can operate efficiently in the optical regime and at ultralow pump power as well as short switching time (~ns). This nanoscale router presented here will offer potential applications in scalable solid-state quantum networks and quantum information.  相似文献

We have theoretically and experimentally studied the quantum coherence effects of a degenerate transition Fg =3←→Fe=2 system interacting with a weak linearly polarized (with σ+ components) probe light and a strong linearly polarized (with σ+ components) coupling field. Due to the competition between the drive Rabi frequency and the Zeeman splitting, electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) and electromagnetically induced absorption (EIA) are present at the different values of applied magnetic field in the case where the Zeeman splitting of excited state Δe is larger than the Zeeman splitting of ground state Δg (i.e.Δe 〉 Δg).  相似文献

随着纳米科技以及半导体技术的迅猛发展,光力诱导透明、快慢光和光存储以及其他在光力系统中发现的量子光学和非线性光学效应成为人们目前研究的热点.本文将薄膜腔光力系统同被束缚在腔中的二能级冷原子系综相耦合,通过直接在薄膜振子上引入弱辅助驱动场来研究该原子辅助光力系统中原子和相位对量子相干性质及其快慢光的调控.经过分析发现,通过改变辅助驱动场的强度可直接实现对光力诱导透明窗口深度的调控,通过改变辅助场与探测场之间的相位差,可实现输出的探测场在"吸收"、"透明"和"增益"之间相互转换,进而对弱探测场进行动态调控实现光开关.与此同时,还发现系统的群延迟时间随相位差的改变呈周期性变化.通过调节相位差及原子数,不但可以改变群延迟时间,还可实现快慢光之间的相互转换.  相似文献

Autler-Townes splitting (ATS) and electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) both yield transparency in an absorption profile, but only EIT yields strong transparency for a weak pump field due to Fano interference. Empirically discriminating EIT from ATS is important but so far has been subjective. We introduce an objective method, based on Akaike's information criterion, to test ATS vs EIT from experimental data for three-level atomic systems and determine which pertains. We apply our method to a recently reported induced-transparency experiment in superconducting-circuit quantum electrodynamics.  相似文献

Electromagnetically induced transparency and absorption of a monochromatic light controlled by a radio frequency field in the cold multi-Zeeman-sublevel atoms are theoretically investigated. These Zeeman sublevels are coupled by a radio frequency(RF) field. Both electromagnetically induced transparency and electromagnetically induced absorption can be obtained by tuning the frequency of RF field for both the linear polarization and elliptical polarization monochromatic lights. When the transfer of coherence via spontaneous emission from the excited state to the ground state is considered, electromagnetically induced absorption can be changed into electromagnetically induced transparency with the change of intensity of radio field. The transparency windows controlled by the RF field can have potential applications in the magnetic-field measurement and quantum information processing.  相似文献

采用海森堡-朗之万方法理论研究了Tripod型双电磁诱导透明原子系统中压缩态探针场的传输特性.研究结果表明:通过双透明窗口压缩光可实现双通道传输,且每个通道可以被独立操控;当两束耦合场的频率失谐相等时,输出探针场的压缩度可以得到更好的保持.此外,输出探针场的压缩度可以通过耦合场的拉比频率、原子的光学厚度和基态退相干率以及探测频率来操控.该研究结果为进一步优化多通道量子存储提供依据.  相似文献

We develop a classical model of the recently popular parametric effect of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT), i.e., the formation of a “transparency window” inside a resonance absorption line of a three-level quantum system, which is accompanied by a record strong slowing of the probe wave. Based on this model, we consider the EIT effect for electromagnetic waves at frequencies of the electron-cyclotron resonance in a cold plasma. The parametric (three-wave) interaction of two electromagnetic modes (the frequency of one of these modes is equal to the electron gyrofrequency) with the electrostatic mode is considered. It is shown that the resonance growth in the electron oscillations at the gyrofrequency can be damped due to the parametric coupling with the collective electrostatic oscillations. Similar to analogous quantum systems, the group slowing of the probe electron-cyclotron wave in the transparency window takes place in the case considered.  相似文献

We study the steady optical response of a square lattice in which all trapped atoms are driven by a probe and a coupling fields into the ladder configuration of electromagnetically induced transparency(EIT). It turns out to be a manybody problem in the presence of van der Waals(vd W) interaction among atoms in the upmost Rydberg state, so Monte Carlo(MC) calculation based on density matrix equations have been done after introducing a sufficiently large cut-off radius. It is found that the absorption and dispersion of EIT spectra depends critically on a few key parameters like lattice dimension, unitary vd W shift, probe Rabi frequency, and coupling detuning. Through modulating these parameters, it is viable to change symmetries of the absorption and dispersion spectra and control on demand depth and position of the transparency window. Our MC calculation is expected to be instructive in understanding many-body quantum coherence effects and in manipulating non-equilibrium quantum phenomena by utilizing vd W interactions of Rydberg atoms.  相似文献
