In this study, the dynamic responses of a planetary gear are analyzed when component gears have time-varying pressure angles and contact ratios caused by bearing deformations. For this purpose, this study proposes a new dynamic model of the planetary gear, in which the pressure angles and contact ratios change with time. The main difference from previous studies is that the present study regards the pressure angles and contact ratios as time-varying variables, while previous studies regarded them as constants. After nonlinear equations of motion for the planetary gear are derived, the dynamic responses are computed by applying the Newmark time integration method. The time responses for the present and previous studies are compared to show the effects of the time-varying pressure angles and contact ratios on the dynamic behaviors of a planetary gear. In addition, the effects of bearing stiffness on the pressure angles and contact ratios are also analyzed.  相似文献

In this study, the dynamic behaviors of a BLDC motor are analyzed, when the motor undergoes mechanical and electromagnetic interaction due to an air gap variation between the stator and rotor. When considering the air gap variation caused by the translational motion of the rotor relative to the stator, the kinetic and potential energies, Rayleigh dissipation function, and the magnetic coenergy are expressed in terms of the rotor displacements and stator currents. With these energies and function, new equations of motion are derived using Lagrange’s equation. The equations for the proposed model are nonlinear equations in which the displacements and currents are coupled. The time responses for the displacements and currents are computed for the proposed and previous models. Furthermore, the effects of rotor eccentricity are also investigated. It is found that, when the air gap varies with time, the time responses for the proposed and previous models have small differences in the stator currents, electromagnetic torques, and rotating speeds. However, the time responses have large differences in the rotor displacements. Therefore, this paper claims that the proposed model describes the dynamic behaviors of the motor more accurately than the previous model. It is also shown that rotor eccentricity increases the stator current period and the electromagnetic torque, while it decreases the rotating speed of the rotor.  相似文献

Ring gear is a key element for vibration transmission and noise radiation in the planetary gear system which has been widely employed in different areas, such as wind turbine transmissions. Its flexibility has a great influence on the mesh stiffness of internal gear pair and the dynamic response of the planetary gear system, especially for the thin ring cases. In this paper, the flexibility of the internal ring gear is considered based on the uniformly curved Timoshenko beam theory. The ring deformation is coupled into the mesh stiffness model, which enables the investigation on the effects of the ring flexibility on the mesh stiffness and the dynamic responses of the planetary gear. A method about how to synthesize the total mesh stiffness of the internal gear pairs in multi-tooth region together with the ring deformation and the tooth errors is proposed. Numerical results demonstrate that the ring thickness has a great impact on the shape and magnitude of the mesh stiffness of the internal gear pair. It is noted that the dynamic responses of the planetary gear set with equally spaced supports for the ring gear are modulated due to the cyclic variation of the mesh stiffness resulted from the presence of the supports, which adds more complexity in the frequency structure.  相似文献

In this study, a dynamic model for herringbone planetary gears is proposed which can be applied in the dynamic analysis of variable speed processes (including acceleration, deceleration, and large speed fluctuation process, etc.). The dynamic responses of the acceleration process of an example of a herringbone planetary gear set are simulated in cases where the profile error excitations are ignored and included. The phenomenon of tooth separations can be observed as the rotating speed increases in the simulation, and the effect of the profile error excitations on the phenomenon is also investigated. Furthermore, the effects of the profile error excitations on the vibrations and dynamic meshing forces are investigated before and after the appearance of tooth separations. Moreover, the dynamic characteristics of the herringbone planetary gear set are also compared with that of the spur/helical herringbone planetary gear set briefly. Finally, some advice for the design of planetary gear sets is given to avoid the phenomena of tooth separation and tooth back contacts and suppress the vibrations and dynamic meshing forces.  相似文献

A long‐standing, though ill‐understood problem in rocket dynamics, rocket response to random, altitude‐dependent nozzle side‐loads, is investigated. Side loads arise during low altitude flight due to random, asymmetric, shock‐induced separation of in‐nozzle boundary layers. In this paper, stochastic evolution of the in‐nozzle boundary layer separation line, an essential feature underlying side load generation, is connected to random, altitude‐dependent rotational and translational rocket response via a set of simple analytical models. Separation line motion, extant on a fast boundary layer time scale, is modeled as an Ornstein‐Uhlenbeck process. Pitch and yaw responses, taking place on a long, rocket dynamics time scale, are shown to likewise evolve as OU processes. Stochastic, altitude‐dependent rocket translational motion follows from linear, asymptotic versions of the full nonlinear equations of motion; the model is valid in the practical limit where random pitch, yaw, and roll rates all remain small. Computed altitude‐dependent rotational and translational velocity and displacement statistics are compared against those obtained using recently reported high fidelity simulations [Srivastava, Tkacik, and Keanini, J. Appl. Phys. 108 , 044911 (2010)]; in every case, reasonable agreement is observed. As an important prelude, evidence indicating the physical consistency of the model introduced in the above article is first presented: it is shown that the study's separation line model allows direct derivation of experimentally observed side load amplitude and direction densities. Finally, it is found that the analytical models proposed in this paper allow straightforward identification of practical approaches for: i) reducing pitch/yaw response to side loads, and ii) enhancing pitch/yaw damping once side loads cease.  相似文献

In previous work, experimental data have demonstrated the severity of idling gear rattle depends not only on the amplitude, but also the phase of an external sinusoidal forcing. One possible explanation for this is in small tooth profile errors. In this paper, we investigate this hypothesis, by deriving an equation of motion incorporating an error function and losses at the mesh interface, values of which are obtained from experimental data. By solving the equations of motion, theoretical gear rattle trajectories are obtained. Theoretical and experimental trajectories are then compared, by way of time domain plots as well as via contour plots linking the amplitude of backlash oscillation to the amplitude and phase of input forcing. For most profile error functions, good agreement is achieved between the model and experimental data. In the case where the profile errors are dominated by misalignment between the gear and shaft centres agreement is less good and suggestions of areas of further study required for model refinement are proposed.  相似文献

This work investigates the three-dimensional nonlinear vibration of gear pairs where the nonlinearity is due to portions of gear teeth contact lines losing contact (partial contact loss). The gear contact model tracks partial contact loss using a discretized stiffness network. The nonlinear dynamic response is obtained using the discretized stiffness network, but it is interpreted and discussed with reference to a lumped-parameter gear mesh model named the equivalent stiffness representation. It consists of a translational stiffness acting at a changing center of stiffness location (two parameters) and a twist stiffness. These four parameters, calculated from the dynamic response, change as the gears vibrate, and tracking their behavior as a post-processing tool illuminates the nonlinear gear response. There is a gear mesh twist mode where the twist stiffness is active in addition to the well-known mesh deflection mode where the translational stiffness is active. The twist mode is excited by periodic back and forth axial movement of the center of stiffness in helical gears. The same effect can occur in wide facewidth spur gears if tooth lead modifications or other factors such as shaft and bearing deflections disrupt symmetry about the axial centers of the mating teeth. Resonances of both modes are shown to be nonlinear due to partial and total contact loss. Comparing the numerical results with gear vibration experiments from the literature verifies the model and confirms partial contact loss nonlinearity in experiments.  相似文献

A nonlinear time-varying dynamic model of a hypoid gear pair system with time-dependent nonlinear mesh stiffness, mesh damping and backlash properties is formulated to study the effect of mesh stiffness asymmetry for drive and coast sides on dynamic response. The asymmetric characteristic is the result of the inherent curvilinear tooth form and pinion offset in hypoid set. Using the proposed nonlinear time-varying dynamic model, effects of asymmetric mesh stiffness parameters that include mean mesh stiffness ratio, mesh stiffness variation and mesh stiffness phase angle on the dynamic mesh force response and tooth impact regions are examined systematically. Specifically, the dynamic models with only asymmetric mesh stiffness nonlinearity, with only backlash nonlinearity and with both asymmetric mesh stiffness and backlash nonlinearities are analyzed and compared. Using the parameters of a typical hypoid gear set, the extent of the effect of asymmetry in the mesh coupling on gear pair dynamics is quantified numerically. The results show that the increase in the mean mesh stiffness ratio tends to worsen the dynamic response amplitude, and the mesh stiffness parameters for drive side have more effect on dynamic response than those of the coast side one.  相似文献

Dynamic behaviours and stability of an automatic ball balancer (ABB) in an optical disk drive are analyzed based on the proposed three-dimensional dynamic model. For dynamic analysis, the feeding deck with the ball balancer and a spindle motor is modelled as a rigid body with six degrees of freedom. The nonlinear equations of motion are derived using Lagrange's equation in order to describe the translational and rotational motions of the system. From the derived nonlinear equations, the linearized equations of motion in the neighbourhood of a balanced equilibrium position are obtained by the perturbation method. These equations are coupled, linear, differential equations with time-dependent periodic coefficients, from which the stability of the system is analyzed by using the Floquet theory. Finally, the time responses are computed to verify the results of the stability analysis, and to investigate the balancing performance of the ABB.  相似文献

Complex responses are studied for a spherical pendulum whose support is excited with a translational periodic motion. Governing equations are studied analytically to allow prediction of responses under various excitation conditions. Stability for certain cases of damping is predicted by means of existing analysis and compared with experimental data. Numerical time-step integration of the governing equations is developed to predict responses for various types of excitation and damping conditions. Predicted results are compared with corresponding motions measured in an experimental spherical pendulum system. A data acquisition system is included whereby detailed digitized time histories of the pendulum motion can be established and various parameters can be computed to characterize the type of motion present. Two new vector spaces are defined for describing complex responses which occur for certain specified excitation conditions. It is shown in these parameter spaces that the transition from quasiperiodic to chaotic motions can be carefully quantified in systems with very light damping. This discovery provides a convenient means for comparison of complex motions in the numerical and experimental air pendulum systems. The implications of the results are important for dynamic response in various applications, including fluid motions in satellite tanks and other nonlinear time-dependent physical processes which include very light damping. It is showed, that under the adiabatic assumption, the quark-gluon state and the energy of a dynamic bag may be expressed as functions of its collective coordinates and their first time derivatives. The effective-lagrangian and IIamiltonian for the collective motion arethen proposed. The classical equation of coJJective motion is suggested to be used as the self-consistent equation for the force function f(R, R). The bag dynanlics is once again quantized. A set of ellipsoids and their finite combinations is recommended as a complete set of bag shapes because of its Lorentz invariance. The wave function for tlle internal motion of a hadron is therefore a function of the bag shape configuration..It may be used to average intrinsic observables and matrix elements of a hadron over the shape configuration. The zero momentum eigenstate of a hadron is constructed by making use of its translational symmetry. Finite momentum eigenstates are then constructed by Lorentz boosts. Multi-hadron states and hadron interactions are also considered.  相似文献

The aim of this work is to characterize the rattle noise of automotive gearboxes, resulting from impacts between toothed wheels of unselected gear ratios. These stereo-mechanical impacts are modeled by a coefficient of restitution which describes damping during the squeezing of the lubricant film for approaching surfaces, and the elastic deformation of impacting bodies. The dynamic response of the loose gear first depends on the design parameters and the engine operating conditions. The unknown parameters are the drag torque and the coefficient of restitution. They are identified experimentally through implementation of two optical encoders in an actual automotive gearbox and the operation of a specific test bench which replicates the automotive power train. Models of the different drag torque sources are validated from analysis of the free damped response of the driveline. The coefficient of restitution and its probability density function are measured from experiments under stationary operating conditions. A nonlinear model is built. The dynamic response of the loose gear depends on the dimensionless backlash, the coefficient of restitution and a dimensionless parameter proposed to describe the rattle excitation level. Experiments under controlled excitation are performed to validate the assumptions, to confirm the ability of the parameter proposed to describe the rattle noise threshold, and to characterize the dynamic response. The nonlinear model predictions are fitted with the drag torque and coefficient of restitution previously identified. They are compared with measurements to demonstrate the ability of the model to predict gear rattle for any loose gear, any gearbox and any operating condition.  相似文献

In this study, a nonlinear time-varying dynamic model is proposed to predict modulation sidebands of planetary gear sets. This discrete dynamic model includes periodically time-varying gear mesh stiffnesses and the nonlinearities associated with tooth separations. The model uses forms of gear mesh interface excitations that are amplitude and frequency modulated due to a class of gear manufacturing errors to predict dynamic forces at all sun-planet and ring-planet gear meshes. The predicted gear mesh force spectra are shown to exhibit well-defined modulation sidebands at frequencies associated with the rotational speeds of gears relative to the planet carrier. This model is further combined with a previously developed model that accounts for amplitude modulations due to rotation of the carrier to predict acceleration spectra at a fixed position in the planetary transmission housing. Individual contributions of each gear error in the form of amplitude and frequency modulations are illustrated through an example analysis. Comparisons are made to measured spectra to demonstrate the capability of the model in predicting the sidebands of a planetary gear set with gear manufacturing errors and a rotating carrier.  相似文献

In this paper an analytical model is proposed to study the nonlinear dynamic behavior of rolling element bearing systems including surface defects. Various surface defects due to local imperfections on raceways and rolling elements are introduced to the proposed model. The contact force of each rolling element described according to nonlinear Hertzian contact deformation and the effect of internal radial clearance has been taken into account. Mathematical expressions were derived for inner race, outer race and rolling element local defects. To overcome the strong nonlinearity of the governing equations of motion, a modified Newmark time integration technique was used to solve the equations of motion numerically. The results were obtained in the form of time series, frequency responses and phase trajectories. The validity of the proposed model verified by comparison of frequency components of the system response with those obtained from experiments. The classical Floquet theory has been applied to the proposed model to investigate the linear stability of the defective bearing rotor systems as the parameters of the system changes. The peak-to-peak frequency response of the system for each case is obtained and the basic routes to periodic, quasi-periodic and chaotic motions for different internal radial clearances are determined. The current study provides a powerful tool for design and health monitoring of machine systems.  相似文献

This paper investigates the response of a spur gear pair subjected to both deterministic and random loads. Backlash nonlinearity and time-varying mesh stiffness in gear systems are considered in the model. Path integration is adopted to capture the random response in probabilistic domain. In the path integration algorithm, the transition probability density function (PDF) within a short time interval is assumed as Gaussian. Then the mean and variance of the responses are calculated and expressed as closed forms for two different cases in gear systems, which are further used to construct the transition PDF. The simulation results are compared with that from Monte Carlo (MC) simulation and deterministic numerical integration. Good agreements are shown between these results. In addition, the multi-solutions feature characterizing the nonlinear gear system is also captured.  相似文献

Clearance is inevitable in the kinematic joints of mechanisms. In this paper, the dynamic behavior of a crank-slider mechanism with clearance in its tripod-ball sliding joint is investigated theoretically and experimentally. The mathematical model of this new-type of joint is established, and the new concepts of basal system and active system are put forward. Based on the mode-change criterion established in this paper, the consistent equations of motion in full-scale are derived by using Kane method. The experimental rig was set up to measure the effects of the clearance on the dynamic response. The dynamic responses including additional motion, input torque and acceleration have been obtained, and the effects of the clearance size and driving speed have also been investigated by both analytical and experimental means. Corresponding experimental studies verify the theoretical results satisfactorily.  相似文献

A new method of reducing gear vibration was analyzed using a simple spur gear pair with phasing. This new method is based on reducing the variation in mesh stiffness by adding another pair of gears with half-pitch phasing. This reduces the variation in the mesh stiffness of the final (phasing) gear, because each gear compensates for the variation in the other's mesh stiffness. A single gear pair model with a time-varying rectangular-type mesh stiffness function and backlash was used, and the dynamic response over a wide range of speeds was obtained by numerical integration. Because of the reduced variation in mesh stiffness and the double frequency, the phasing gear greatly reduced the dynamic response and nonlinear behavior of the normal gears. The results of the analysis indicate the possibility of reducing vibration of spur gear pairs using the proposed method.  相似文献

This study focuses on the nonlinear dynamic and vibration characteristics of spur gear pair with local spalling defect to explore the spalling mechanism. The dynamic model of the gear pair with spalling defect and time-variant mesh stiffness is established to investigate the effect of spalling defect on mesh stiffness and dynamic response. The analytical solutions of the system which is deduced into four different stages of the gear with the time-variant stiffness in a mesh period are obtained. The dynamic responses with the evolvement of sapll are analyzed by using time history, phase contrail, Poincaré section and spectrum analysis. The spalling characteristics are also evaluated by employing statistical techniques, which shows that the spalling failure is suitable to be detected under low velocity and small excitation. The gearbox with spalling defect is designed and the experiments are carried out to get the dynamic characteristics of the spalling vibration signals. The results obtained herein show the good agreement qualitatively with the theoretical analysis, which provides a theoretical basis to spalling fault diagnosis of gearbox.  相似文献

Compressed sensing (CS)-based methods have been proposed for image reconstruction from undersampled magnetic resonance data. Recently, CS-based schemes using reference images have also been proposed to further reduce the sampling requirement. In this study, we propose a new reference-constrained CS reconstruction method that accounts for the misalignment between the reference and the target image to be reconstructed. The proposed method uses a new image model that represents the target image as a linear combination of a motion-dependent reference image and a sparse difference image. We then use an efficient iterative algorithm to jointly estimate the motion parameters and the difference image from sparsely sampled data. Simulation results from a numerical phantom data set and an in vivo data set show that the proposed method can accurately compensate the motion effects between the reference and the target images and improve reconstruction quality. The proposed method should prove useful for several applications such as interventional imaging, longitudinal imaging studies and dynamic contrast-enhanced imaging.  相似文献

An integrated wave-effects model for an underwater explosion bubble   总被引:15,自引:0,他引:15
A model for a moderately deep underwater explosion bubble is developed that integrates the shock wave and oscillation phases of the motion. A hyperacoustic relationship is formulated that relates bubble volume acceleration to far-field pressure profile during the shock-wave phase, thereby providing initial conditions for the subsequent oscillation phase. For the latter, equations for bubble-surface response are derived that include wave effects in both the external liquid and the internal gas. The equations are then specialized to the case of a spherical bubble, and bubble-surface displacement histories are calculated for dilational and translational motion. Agreement between these histories and experimental data is found to be substantially better than that produced by previous models.  相似文献
