We have measured and analyzed the photoemission spectra (PES) of a C70 film in the photon energy region from 13.4 eV to 98.4 eV. The photoelectron intensities of two C 2p π-derived features (denoted by A and B) oscillate regularly in the whole energy region with some fine structures below ∼30 eV. To obtain the detailed information of the oscillations, we have developed a sophisticated but practical procedure for intensity calculation. The procedure consists of two core concepts. The first is ascribing the PES features to their corresponding molecular orbitals with the help of density functional calculations. The second is a background subtraction algorithm. With this procedure, we obtained the oscillating behavior for individual features (A and B), which is by and large consistent with the predictions based on the spherical symmetric approximation although C70 has the ellipsoidal shape. Owing to the solid state effect, the oscillating amplitudes of the A/B intensity ratios are smaller than those of gas phase C70, but an orbital shift reported recently was not observed on our sample. The oscillating curve of a deeper feature, which consists of both σ and π states, are also reported.  相似文献

使用B3LYP/6-31G(d)方法对有机太阳电池中作为电子受体材料的富勒烯衍生物苯基C71-丁酸甲酯([70]PCBM)的同分异构体进行了计算.PCBM与C70通过六元环和六元环共用的CC双键加成得到的产物是热力学控制产物;通过五元环和六元环共用的C—C键加成得到的产物则是动力学控制产物.[70]PCBM与C70的第一绝热电子亲和势很接近.PCBM对前线轨道贡献很小,[70]PCBM的最高占据分子轨道和最低未占据分子轨道(LUMO)的电子云主要分布在C70笼上.PCBM提升了C70的LUMO能级水平,有利于提高太阳电池的光电转换效率.自然布居分析表明,PCBM与C70之间没有发生显著的电荷转移.所有的性质研究表明,PCBM基团并不涉及电池光电转换过程,但在调整C70能级水平提高光电转换效率中发挥了重要作用. 关键词: 71-丁酸甲酯')" href="#">苯基C71-丁酸甲酯 电子受体 结合能 第一绝热电子亲和势  相似文献

The properties of C60 adsorbed on Cu(111) have been studied using low temperature scanning tunnelling microscopy and spectroscopy. In the electronic spectrum of the molecule, we observe features that can be assigned to molecular orbitals. The LUMO level is split into two states, as a consequence of the charge transfer from the substrate to the carbon cage. The data from the inelastic electron tunnelling spectroscopy reveal two peaks that can be assigned to the intramolecular vibrational modes of the C60 cage. We demonstrate also controlled manipulation of single molecules. The plot of the tip height, recorded during the manipulation process, indicates that the C60 is pushed along the surface. 对O原子采用6-311++G*基组,Zr原子采用aug-cc-pVTZ-PP基组,利用密度泛函(B3P86)方法优化得到了ZrO2分子的稳定构型,并研究了不同外电场(0—0.025 a.u.)作用下ZrO2基态分子键长、能量、电荷分布、偶极矩和能级的变化规律.在优化构型的基础上,利用含时密度泛函(TD-B3P86)方法研究了ZrO2分子在外电场作用下前6个激发态的激发能、跃迁波长和振子强度的激发特性.研究结果表明:随着电场强度的增大,Zr—2O的键长增大,而Zr—3O的键长均匀减少,总能量降低,偶极矩增大;最高占据轨道能量基本保持不变,最低未占据轨道和能隙均减小.电场的增大使得激发能减小,各个激发态跃迁波长均发生不同程度的红移现象,因而,利用外电场可以控制ZrO2的发光光谱范围在可见-红外区域扩展.  相似文献

The energy level alignment between C60 and Al has been investigated by using ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy. To obtain the interfacial electronic structure between C60 and Al, C60 was deposited on a clean Al substrate in a stepwise manner. The valence-band spectra were measured immediately after each step of C60 deposition without breaking the vacuum. The measured onset of the highest occupied molecular orbital energy level was located at 1.59 eV from the Fermi level of Al. The vacuum level was shifted 0.68 eV toward lower binding energy with additional C60 layers. The observed vacuum level shift means that the interface dipole exists at the interface between C60 and Al. The barrier height of electron injection from Al to C60 is 0.11 eV, which is smaller value than that of hole injection.  相似文献

采用密度泛函理论方法中的广义梯度近似,对C80H80几何结构和电子性质进行了研究. 几何结构研究表明:在C80H80可能稳定存在的两种同分异构体中, 连接12个五边形的20个C原子内部氢化,其余60个C原子外部氢化所形成的结构即 H20@C80H60最稳定,其仍然保持Ih对称性. 通过对H20@C80H60的能级、前线轨道和态密度分析可知: 在H20@C80H60中, H原子的原子轨道与C原子的原子轨道之间在占据态轨道上有较强的杂化, H原子对H20@C80H60的占据态轨道的贡献比较大. 其最高占据轨道主要由外部H原子和碳笼来贡献,而最低未占据轨道主要由内部H原子贡献, 表明内外H原子在H20@C80H60的化学反应中承担不同的角色. H20@C80H60为闭壳层结构,所有电子都是配对的,表现为非磁性.  相似文献

In the present study, the adsorption behaviour of methanol (CH3OH) and ethanol (C2H5OH) molecules over heterofullerene C59B surface is studied by density functional theory calculations. This heterofullerene is obtained from C60 by substituting a carbon atom with a boron atom and relaxing self-consistently the structure to the local minimum. The adsorption of CH3OH and C2H5OH on the C59B is exothermic and the relaxed geometries are stable. The CH3OH and C2H5OH adsorption can also induce a change in the highest occupied molecular orbital and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy gap of the nanocage. The dehydrogenation pathways of CH3OH and C2H5OH via O–H and C–H bonds scission are also examined. The results indicate that O–H bond scission is the most favourable pathway on the C59B surface.  相似文献

We have studied refractive index dispersion in thin ZnGa2O4 films obtained by high-frequency RF ion plasma sputtering. We have established that the spectral dependence of the refractive index in the visible region of the spectrum is mainly determined by transitions from the band including 2p states of the oxygen and 3d states of the zinc, forming the highest occupied level of the valance band, to the bottom of the conduction band formed by the 4s4p states of the zinc. For the studied films, we have determined the parameters of the single-oscillator approximation, the dispersion energy, the chemical bond ionicity, and the coordination number.  相似文献

The electronic structure and vibrational spectrum of the C60 film condensed on a 2H- MoS2(0001) surface have been investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), ul-traviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS), Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) and infrared high-resolution electron-energy-loss spectroscopy (HREELS). AES analysis showed that at low energy side of the main transition, C60 contains a total of three peaks just like that of graphite. However, the energy position of the KLL main Auger transition of C60 looks like that of diamond, indicating that the hybridization of the carbon atoms in C60 is not strictly in sp2- bonded state but that the curvature of the molecular surface introduces some sp2pz- bonded character into the molecular orbitals. XPS showed that the C 1s binding energy in C60 was 285.0eV, and its main line was very symmetric and offered no indication of more than a single carbon species. In UPS measurement the valence band spectrum of C60 within 10eV below the Fermi level (EF) shows a very distinct five-band structure that character-izes the electronic structure of the C60 molecule. HREEL results showed that the spectrum obtained from the C60 film has very rich vibrational structure. At least, four distinct main loss peaks can be identified below 200 meV. The most intense loss was recorded at 66 meV, and relatively less intense losses were recorded at 95, 164 and 197meV at a primary energy of electron beam EP = 2.0eV. The other energy-loss peaks at 46, 136, 157 and 186meV in HREEL spectrum are rather weak. These results have been compared to infrared spectrum data of the crystalline solid C60 taken from recent literatures.  相似文献

The electronic structure of K-doped C60 was investigated by photoemission (PE) and X-ray absorption near-edge structure (XANES) studies at the C-1s and K-2p thresholds. In addition, information on the local K-derived partial density of states in superconducting K3C60 was obtained by resonant PE at the K-2p 1/2 threshold. The experimental observations support a complete charge transfer from K to C60 and we clearly observe a finite density of states atE F . From resonant PE, occupied states with K-p, d character could be identified in the binding-energy region from 1.5 to 8 eV below, but not directly at the Fermi level. This partial-density-of-states structure agrees well with the results of our band-structure calculations based on the local-density approximation.  相似文献

The formation of radiating particles in the excitation of C60 fullerene molecules by electrons with energies E e<100 eV is investigated by the method of crossed molecular and electron beams. A quasicontinuous (with a spectral resolution of 3 nm) emission spectrum, close to the Planck emission spectrum of a heated body, is recorded in the wavelength range 300–800 nm. A detailed computational study has been performed at the QCISD(T)/6-311++G(d,p)//B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) level for the NCO with CH3 reaction by constructing singlet and triplet potential energy surfaces (PES). The results show that the title reaction is more favorable for the singlet PES than the triplet PES. On the singlet PES, the dominant channel is the barrierless addition of the O or N atom to the C atom of the methyl group to form CH3NCO (IM1) and CH3OCN (IM2). On the triplet PES, the favorable channel is the barrierless addition of the N atom to the C atom of the methyl group to form an intermediate CH3NCO (3IM2), which then undergoes a N–C bond scission process to give out CH3N + CO.  相似文献

The electronic structure of vacuum-sublimed layered organic heterostructures of pentacene (PEN) and fullerene (C60) on conducting polymer substrates was investigated using ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS). The conditions at the PEN/C60interface changed from thermodynamic non-equilibrium (i.e. the onset of the PEN highest occupied molecular orbital above the substrate Fermi-energy) for thin PEN coverages on C60 to thermodynamic equilibrium for thicker PEN coverages (i.e. Fermi-level pinning of PEN). This finding is attributed to a coverage-dependent pinhole connection of PEN through the C60 layer with the substrate. The experiments demonstrate the importance of organic thin film morphology for UPS measurements to assess the energy level alignment at organic/organic heterointerfaces.  相似文献

By applying non-equilibrium Green's functions in combination with density-functional theory, we investigate electronic transport properties of C60 coupled to carbon nanotubes and Li electrodes. The results show that electronic transport properties of CNT-C60-CNT and Li-C60-Li systems are completely different. Nonlinear I-V characteristic, varistor-type behavior and negative differential resistance (NDR) phenomenon are observed when electrodes are carbon nanotubes. We discuss the mechanism of I-V characteristics of CNT-C60-CNT systems in details. Our results suggest conductance, energy level of Frontier molecular orbitals, energy gap between HOMO and LUMO, the coupling between molecular orbitals and electrodes are all playing critical roles in electronic transport properties.  相似文献

Rubrene mixing has been shown to be an effect mean for enhancing both the open circuit voltage (Voc) and the short-circuit current (Jsc) of copper-phthalocyanine (CuPc)/fullerene (C60) based solar cell. While the increase in Jsc can be readily explained by the additional rubrene absorption and the introduction of a bulk heterojunction; causes for Voc increase are still not clear. The energy offset between the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) level of donor and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) level of acceptor (HOMOD-LUMOA) at the CuPc/C60 interface was found to increase substantially upon rubrene mixing in either side of the interface. As the HOMOD-LUMOA is generally considered to limit the Voc, its increase agrees well with the device results. Energy level bending and associated built-in electric fields were also observed and their possible implications to device performance are discussed.  相似文献

Torsional states caused by vibrations of hydroxyl groups in the methanediol molecule and its two deuterated analogues – DO(CH2)OH and DO(CH2)OD were analysed at MP2/cc-pVTZ and CCSD(T)/cc-pVQZ levels of theory. In the first case, 2D PES and 2D surfaces of kinematic coefficients were calculated with geometry optimisation for all other geometric parameters, and in the second case, only the energy of optimised configurations at the MP2/cc-pVTZ level of theory was determined. Then 2D PES was recounted to the complete basis set (CBS) limit by extrapolating the results of calculations at the MP2/cc-pVTZ and MP2/cc-pVQZ levels of theory The calculated values were then averaged over four equivalent points on the coordinate plane. Hamiltonian matrices were constructed using DVR and Fourier methods. After their subsequent diagonalization, the energies of the stationary torsional states were computed. Their classification by C2V(M) and CS(M) molecular symmetry groups has been performed. The splitting values due to the tunnelling of the thirty most deeply located torsional states in the three studied molecules were also determined. The torsional states, internal rotation barriers, and tunnelling frequencies in the molecules of methanediol and hydrogen trioxide were compared.  相似文献

采用基于密度泛函理论的广义梯度近似,对C60富勒烯-巴比妥酸及其二聚体的几何结构和电子结构进行了计算研究.发现:C60富勒烯-巴比妥酸只有一种稳定结构,且掺杂巴比妥酸基团对C60分子构型的影响是局域的.C60富勒烯-巴比妥酸的二聚体有三种同素异构体,分别以[6,5]—[6,5],[6,6]—[6,5]和[6,6]—[6,6]三种方式键合,从能隙大小顺序和总能相对大小来看,[6,6]—[6,6]结构最为稳定.电子结构方面,在C60富勒烯-巴比妥酸单体中,Donor-Acceptor电荷转移体系为C60富勒烯-巴比妥酸,即电荷是从C60向巴比妥酸转移.由前线轨道和自旋布居数得知,C60富勒烯-巴比妥酸单体很好地保留了C60的电磁性质,但稳定性下降,易发生二次加成反应形成二聚体.对于C60富勒烯-巴比妥酸二聚体,Mulliken电荷分析显示,在加成四元环处的碳原子分别得到0104e和0106e电荷,而与它们邻近的碳原子则失去电子,带有正电荷,且距加成位置越近的碳原子失去的电荷越多.在远离加成位置处,碳原子的净电荷变化相对较小.与单体152eV能隙相比,二聚体中的能隙为1.45eV.其前线轨道分布与单体相比,最高占据轨道几乎未变,但最低未占据轨道发生了很大变化. 关键词: 几何结构 电子结构 密度泛函  相似文献

基于C60受体和有机分子给体的太阳能电池是目前非常重要的一个研究热点, 利用同步辐射真空紫外光电子能谱(SRUPS) 技术研究了酞菁铁(FePc)与TiO2(110)及C60的界面电子结构, 以及FePc与C60分子混合薄膜的电子结构. SRUPS价带谱显示, FePc沉积在化学计量比与还原态两种不同的TiO2(110)表面时, FePc分子的HOMO能级均随FePc厚度的变化发生了移动, 而在化学计量比的TiO2(110)表面位移较大, 同时发生界面能带弯曲, 说明存在从有机层向衬底的电子转移. 在FePc/C60和C60/FePc界面形成过程中, FePc与C60分子的最高占据分子轨道(HOMO)位移大小基本相同. 由界面能级排列发现, 在FePc与C60的混合薄膜中, FePc分子的HOMO与C60分子的最高占据分子轨道能级差较大, 这有利于提高器件开路电压, 改善器件性能.  相似文献
