由修改了的脉冲线加速器驱动的、高功率(200kV)、高电流密度、低发射度、高亮度赝火花放电电子束在15pa氮气中产生。束流强度2.2kA,脉宽400ns,束径1mm的电子束从阳极口射出,可在中性氮电离通道中传输20cm。在阳极下游5cm处,电子束相继打穿紧密粘贴在一起的酸敏纸和0.05mm厚的铜箔,分别留下0.6mm和0.3mm的穿孔。依据箍缩平衡条件算出该处的高能电子束的归一化发射度和亮度分别是23πmm mrad和8×1010A/(m2rad2)。对同一酸敏纸连续轰击10次给出1.6mm穿孔表明它具有好的重复性。观察工作60枪后的放电室发现,各种电极和绝缘子表面几乎未见任何破坏性烧蚀痕迹。实验证明,赝火花电子束的束质量比冷阴极电子束的束质量要好得多。 关键词:  相似文献

In this paper we investigated the surface morphology and emission property of polymer velvet in a cathode test system powered by a ∼400 ns, ∼400 kV pulsed generator. After a series of pulse shots, the velvet surface exhibited an obvious decrease in the amount of emitters, namely, the smoothing of microprotrusions, indicating a lower field enhancement factor or a higher turn-on electric field than that for no shots. As the velvet cathode lifetime proceeded, the beam degradation was observed in terms of the voltage pulse length, maximum emission current, and rise time of diode current. Further, the average current density significantly decreased during a 100 pulse shot test, from 280 to 160 A/cm2. The surface discharge caused many plasma spots on the velvet surface. The cathode plasma expands towards the anode, directly leading to the diode gap closure. The degradation in the velvet performance after high-current emission may be related to this behavior of cathode plasma. Finally, the electron emission mechanisms, how to affect the surface morphology of velvet, are presented.  相似文献

工业X光二极管型单焦点高重复频率闪光X光机在科学研究、工业检测等领域具有重要应用前景。基于光导开关脉冲驱动源开展了金属阴极工业X光二极管重复频率运行实验, 采用烘烤处理方法研究阴极表面吸附特性对重复频率发射特性的影响;以二极管阻抗模型为理论基础, 通过重复频率实验获得的二极管电压维持时间和阻抗特性分析等离子体扩散过程。研究表明:对于高阻抗结构工业X光二极管, 金属阴极为表面吸附杂质或气体解吸附形成等离子体发射机制, 一次放电后阴极表面对气体的再吸附过程限制了其在高重复频率条件下的电流发射能力, 同时由于阴极等离子体扩散过程变慢使得二极管电压脉宽变长。具有高重复频率电流发射能力的阴极是发展单焦点重复频率X光机的基础。  相似文献

We have measured low-energy ion emission from a gas-puff laser-plasma X-ray source. The ions may cause the degradation of the condenser mirror of the extreme ultra-violet projection lithography system. A 0.7 J in 8 ns Nd:YAG laser at 1.06 μm was focused onto the xenon gas-puff target with an intensity of ∼1012 W/cm2. The silicon (111) plates, placed at a distance of 32 mm from the laser-interaction region, were exposed with the xenon ions. The average ion energy was measured to be less than 50 eV with a Faraday-cup detector placed close to the silicon plates. The xenon deposition occurred in the silicon plates with a depth of less than 40 nm. The deposition density was measured with a quadrupole secondary ion mass spectrometer to be 1021 /cm3 after 1500 laser shots. The energy-conversion efficiency from the laser energy into the ions is ∼0.1%/4 π sr/shot. For the lithography system, if we can remove such ion bombardment completely using novel techniques such as electro-magnetic devices or gas flow curtain techniques, the lifetime of the condenser mirror will be extended significantly. We study the generation of electromagnetic pulses with a carrier frequency of 3.7 GHz in a relativistic backward-wave oscillator with a long slow-wave system in the superradiance regime of super-radiation for a magnetic induction of 0.2 T (below the cyclotron resonance). To decrease transverse velocities of the electrons, we use decompression of a hollow electron beam. Decompression in combination with a sharp leading edge of the high-voltage pulse (460 kV) applied to the explosive-emission cathode are used for increasing the cathode lifetime and improving the azimuthal uniformity of the beam. As a result, the achieved peak power of the microwave radiation amounts to 800 MW for a pulse duration of 2.5 ns and a repetition rate of 100 Hz. The uninterrupted operation in such a regime determined by the lifetime of the explosive-emission cathode is increased up to 105–106 pulses. The efficiency of conversion of the electron-beam power into the electromagnetic-wave power is increased up to 50%, The possibility of locking the electromagnetic oscillations phase by a sharp edge of the high-voltage pulse at the cathode was observed for the first time in such a relativistic generator. __________ Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Radiofizika, Vol. 49, No. 10, pp. 837–842, October 2006.  相似文献

At the Prague Asterix Laser System Center (PALS) the Asterix iodine laser delivering up to 700 J/0.5 ns is used as a pump source for X-ray laser experiments and applications. The prepulse technique was applied which is known to improve the neon-like X-ray laser output at the J = 0-1 transition dramatically. Since Zn slab targets were used the operating wavelength was 21.2 nm. A prepulse having up to 20 J precedes the main pulse by 10 ns. The main beam and the prepulse beam are focussed by two different optical systems separately and their foci are superimposed at the target surface. By implementing a half-cavity set-up for double-pass amplification using a Mo/Si multilayer mirror - which can be used for more than 100 shots - the X-ray laser output was more than 10 times stronger than at the single pass in a 30 mm long plasma. Double-pass amplification was observed to be most efficient when the pump pulse duration was at least 150 ps longer than the round trip time ( ≈ 260 ps) in the half-cavity. Under this fundamental condition the X-ray laser reached saturation in the double-pass regime containing approx. 4 mJ energy which has been proved to be enough for future applications. In this contribution, the X-ray laser features like divergence in two dimensions, the beam quality (symmetry), the pointing angle and the integrated intensity giving an estimation of the output energy are investigated over 110 shots. To characterize the stability of the X-ray laser the shot distribution, the mean value and the standard deviation for these parameters are evaluated. For 18 shots in a series - what was achievable during one day - the corresponding values are given, and a statistical analysis carrying out a chi-squared test characterize the Zn X-ray laser as a robust tool suitable for applications. In the future it is planned to allocate X-ray laser beam time to external research groups. Fast electron beams into a hollow anode of a small plasma focus machine (2 kJ, 4 μF) were measured. The diagnostic method designed for this purpose is founded in a small Rogowski coil introduced into a cavity performed in the anode. By means of this, electron beam pulses of about 10 ns width generated in the plasma focus are detected. Simultaneously, hard X-ray signals obtained from a scintillator-photomultiplier system are registered. The electron beam energy was measured through the time-of-flight of the electrons between probe and anode top. The beams are found to be relativistic and its energy is into the range of hard X-rays energy. An analysis of signal intensities and relative delays for three hundred shots are here presented. Experimental data for creating an X-ray source several millimeters in size on the basis of a plasmafilled rod-pinch diode are reported. Experiments are carried out on the MIG high-current generator. A voltage pulse applied to the diode is sharpened and shortened by injecting plasma into the interelectrode gap up to the plasma-filled diode. Radiation extraction from the vacuum chamber in the paraxial direction is provided by inverting the positions of the cathode and anode using a post-hole vacuum convolute. It is demonstrated that the energy of a low-impedance high-current generator can be deposited with a high efficiency into an electron beam focused on the 1-mm2 tip of the rod-shaped anode. With a tapered tungsten rod 1.5 mm in diameter used as an anode, a pulsed X-ray source about 1 mm in size generating 30-ns-long pulses is obtained. The absorbed dose per pulse measured with a LiF thermoluminescent dosimeter behind a 5-mm-thick aluminum screen 1 m away from the source reaches 0.042 Gy.  相似文献

A laser diode-stack end-pumped electro-optically Q-switched Nd:YAG slab oscillator-amplifier system with neardiffraction-limited output is demonstrated by a stable-unstable hybrid resonator. The average power of 100 W at a repetition rate of lOkHz with a pulse width 14.7ns and average power of 76.3 W at a repetition rate of 5kHz with a pulse width of 10.2ns are measured. At the repetition rate of 10 kHz and at an output power of 89 W, the beam quality factors M^2 in the unstable and stable directions are 1.3 and 1.5, respectively.  相似文献

The uniformity of intense relativistic electron beams under a converging magnetic guide field is studied experimentally in this paper. In the experiments, fluence calorimeter and X-ray pinhole photograph were used to measure the beam uniformity. The experimental results show that the externally applied magnetic flux density at the cathode and the shape of cathode face have considerable influence on the beam uniformity, The beam uniformity better than 80% is obtained over an area of 200cm2 when the externally applied magnetic flux density at the cathode is about 0.6T and the cathode face is concave to a depth of 1.5 mm, relative to the cathode edge.  相似文献

高功率微波的研究正在向高重复频率发展,目前已运行每年百万炮次或以上的水平,由此导致的电子束轫致辐射产生的X射线剂量已不可忽视,为了人员安全必须采取屏蔽措施。采用BEAMnrc程序,用蒙特卡罗方法仿真了环状束高功率微波源收集极的射线产生情况,典型输入束流参数为电压1 MV,电流10 kA,脉宽100 ns,重复频率100 Hz。仿真结果给出了X射线的谱分布和空间分布。据此估算了屏蔽X射线所需的墙壁衰减量。同时估算了X射线的天空散射因素以及房顶所需的衰减量。  相似文献

The formation and development of the large-scale periodic structures on a single crystal Si surface are studied upon its evaporation by pulsed radiation of a copper vapor laser (wavelength of 510.6 nm, pulse duration of 20 ns). The development of structures occurs at a high number of laser shots (∼104) at laser fluence of 1–2 J/cm2 below optical breakdown in a wide pressure range of surrounding atmosphere from 1 to 105 Pa. The structures are cones with angles of 25, which grow towards the laser beam and protrude above the initial surface for 20–30 μm. It is suggested that the spatial period of the structures (10–20 μm) is determined by the capillary waves period on the molten surface. The X-ray diffractometry reveals that the modified area of the Si substrate has a polycrystalline structure and consists of Si nanoparticles with a size of 40–70 nm, depending on the pressure of surrounding gas.  在电子束泵浦气体激光实验中,大面积均匀电子束是获得高效能激光输出的必要条件。介绍了利用SPG-200脉冲功率源产生大面积均匀电子束的实验。SPG-200是基于SOS的全固态重复频率脉冲功率源,其开路电压大于350 kV。用于产生电子束的真空二极管阴极长294 mm,宽24 mm,两端均为半径为12 mm的半圆,栅网平面为阳极面,两者之间的距离在0~49 mm可调,阴极发射的电子束通过用于隔离激光气室和二极管真空室的压力膜及其支撑栅网引出。分别以石墨和天鹅绒为阴极材料,获得了大面积电子束输出,给出了二极管参数的测量结果,并对电子束发射均匀性进行了诊断。实验结果表明:在阴极材料为石墨、阴阳极间隙为5~9 mm时,二极管电压为240~280 kV,二极管电流为0.7~1.8 kA,输出的电子束很不均匀;在阴极材料为天鹅绒、阴阳极间隙为31~46 mm时,二极管电压为200~250 kV,二极管电流为1.5~1.7 kA,输出的电子束均匀性较好。  相似文献

强流电子束二极管是强脉冲辐射环境模拟装置和高功率微波技术中的重要研究方向,通过时间分辨光谱诊断研究阴极等离子体的特性是分析强流脉冲电子束二极管工作性能的可靠方法之一。介绍了具有纳秒级时间分辨能力的光谱诊断系统及其工作原理、系统组成和性能参数,并阐述了低抖动同步触发系统的实现方法和时序关系。同时,针对强脉冲辐射模拟装置产生的强脉冲电磁辐射和强X、γ射线辐射对光谱诊断系统造成严重干扰的情况,设计了电磁屏蔽室和铅屏蔽室对诊断系统进行保护。对黄铜阴极的等离子体进行时间分辨光谱测量,实验结果表明,随着二极管脉冲电压和电流的上升,参与形成阴极等离子体的元素和物质成分明显增多。该光谱诊断系统的时间分辨能力为10 ns,最小可达2 ns,同步触发系统的抖动小于4.0 ns,为深入研究二极管的阴极发射机理开辟了新的技术途径。  相似文献

Two types of contracted arc discharge are investigated with a view to generating intense electron beams over a wide pressure range (1–10–3 Pa). For an arc discharge with a hollow cathode and anode, an electron beam corresponding to a current of up to 300 A and a pulse length of 25 µsec is obtained at a pressure of 1–10–1 Pa in the accelerating gap with an accelerating voltage of up to 15 kV. At pressures of 10–2–10–3 Pa, emitting plasma is created by a low-pressure arc discharge on the basis of a Penning cell. Three discharge systems operating in parallel are used to increase the working life of the cathode and improve the current density distribution of the beam. Nitrogen oxide (NO/sub x/) in a chamber spatially isolated from beam source has been removed by a pulsed, intense, relativistic electron beam (PIREB). The chamber is filled up with dry-air-balanced NO/sub x/, and is irradiated by the PIREB (2 MeV, 2.2 kA, 85 ns) passing through 1.6-m-long atmosphere. The NO/sub x/ concentration decreases from 88 to 25 ppm by ten shots of PIREB.  相似文献

The electron-optical system (EOS) of an induction accelerator for generation of an electron beam with an energy of 2 MeV, a current of 2 kA, an impulse duration of 2 × 10?7 s, and a geometric output emittance not exceeding the thermal value of it is described. The EOS consists of two parts. The first part is a diode gun with a perveance of 2 × 10?6 A/B3/2 and a cathode-anode voltage of 1 MeV. The second part is an accelerating tube with uniform distribution of the same accelerating voltage. A beam is transported at a distance of about 4 m from the cathode and focused on a spot with a diameter of about 1 mm. The compliance tests results of the linear-induction accelerator precisely conform to the calculated design parameters.  相似文献

利用强流电子束技术产生通量密度为1018—1019X-ray photon/sr·s的脉冲CuKX射线源,标定PIN型硅二极管半导体探测器对X光子的脉冲灵敏度。用绝对X射线监测器——P10气体脉冲电离室作为脉冲X射线通量密度的标准。脉冲电荷自动测量仪由微处理机进行程序控制,并予以实时校准。该电离室测量通量密度的精度为±5%,适用的能通量率范围可达4×10-9—2×102W/cm2,适用的光子能量范围为1.5—10keV,标定探测器的精度为±7.0%,并发现PIN型硅二极管的脉冲灵敏度比稳态X射线束标定的灵敏度高30%左右。 关键词:  相似文献

In order to check the predictions of 0D-models experimentally, a small coaxial discharge configuration for the generation of homogeneous high pressure glow discharges (diameter 11 mm, length 20 mm) in rare gas halogen excimer laser gas mixtures under accurately controlled conditions has been developed. It uses X-ray preionization and a special pulse-forming network (PFN) delivering fast rising (8 ns) single square pulses (U 0=25 kV; I=300 A; =100 ns). Discharge current and voltage are measured precisely by a capacitive voltage divider and a shunt integrated into the discharge chamber. All circuit data needed for the model calculations have been evaluated. Interferometric and spectroscopic diagnostics of the bulk of the discharge and of the cathode sheath have been performed. First results for Ne/Xe/HCl mixtures are compared with model calculations.  相似文献
