研究了频率随时间变化的压缩态光场与二能级原子的相互作用,主要讨论了光场频率随时间作正弦调制和脉冲调制两种典型情况下原子布居数反转随时间的演化特性.当光场频率随时间作正弦调制时,不仅光场频率调制,而且压缩态的压缩系数和压缩相位均对原子布居数反转的崩塌-回复过程有影响.当光场频率随时间作脉冲调制时,脉冲调制的突变使各拉比振荡之间的相干性发生改变,并在原子布居数反转随时间演化过程中诱导出新的崩塌-回复过程,尤其在脉冲出现的区间内,原子布居数反转表现出持续的小幅快速振荡,这与压缩态的压缩系数无关. 关键词: Jaynes-Cummings模型 压缩态 原子布居数反转  相似文献

采用含时多态展开方法研究了太赫兹场中里德堡铷原子布居数迁移的动力学过程,计算了一个太赫兹脉冲序列与三能级里德堡铷原子系统相互作用后的布居数分布,以及多脉冲序列对多量子态里德堡铷原子系统的相干操控,给出了同一主量子数n中不同角量子数l态布居数的含时演化过程.结果表明:通过优化太赫兹脉冲序列参数,铷原子布居数可由初态被抽运到较高的目标态,在太赫兹频率范围实现里德堡原子的操纵与控制.  相似文献

在有耗散的Jaynes-Cummings模型中,对原子与腔复合系统初始处于贝尔态或是原子激发态而腔场为真空态时分别运用微观与唯象学主方程进行求解,并分析这两类主方程在不同耦合区域的区别.结果显示,在强耦合和大失谐情况下,微观主方程求解得到的原子基态的布居数呈线性增长,但唯象学主方程获得的结果却呈非线性增加.在弱耦合区域,这两类主方程求解得到的原子基态布居数都出现快速增加,但是用唯象学主方程要比用微观主方程得到的布居数增加得更快.通过分析与讨论,该结果可能对耗散的腔QED中更好的实现逻辑门提供理论参考.  相似文献

在Milburn内禀退相干模型下,研究了二项式光场与二能级原子相互作用系统中原子的布居数反转,分析了内禀退相干,二项式光场系数和场的最大光子数对原子布居数反转的影响.结果表明,存在内禀退相干时,原子布居数反转出现明显的崩塌-回复现象,随着时间的演化,Rabi振荡的包络值将很快的崩塌到零,并且随着内禀退相干因子的减小,衰减加剧;当内禀退相干因子不变时,二项式光场从相干态过渡到中间态,以及由中间态到数态过程中,原子布居数反转出现明显的崩塌-回复现象,而且Rabi振荡的频率会明显加快;当二项式光场的最大光子数增大时,原子布居差的崩塌-回复现象就会逐渐消失.  相似文献

本文研究了绝热条件下,三能级Λ系统实现布居数转移和相干的两种方法,并比较了激光脉冲序列对布居数转移效率和相干的影响。运用自洽方程和密度矩阵方程,得出了相干控制量子态和布居数的数值模拟图。我们可以看到运用反直觉的脉冲序列比通常的脉冲序列在实现布居数转移和相干上更容易更优越。  相似文献

This work explores the effect of spontaneous emission on coherence generation and population transfer in a threelevel ladder atomic system driven by two pulses in counterintuitive order.With adiabatic evolution and the weakdephasing approximation,we find that a large coherence and population transfer can be achieved even with spontaneous decay rate.The maximum coherence and population transfer decrease with the increase of spontaneous decay rate from the highest state to intermediate state.But this effect can be compensated by shortening the pulse width and enlarging the delay time.Results show that the coherence generation and population transfer never depend on the spontaneous decay rate from the intermediate state to ground state.The validity of the analytic solution is examined by numerical calculation.  相似文献

We experimentally demonstrate multiple frequency conversion via atomic spin coherence of storing a light pulse in a doped solid.The essence of this multiple frequency conversion is four-wave mixing based on stored atomic spin coherence.Through electromagnetically induced transparency,an input probe pulse is stored into atomic spin coherence by modulating the intensity of the control field.By using two different control fields to interact with the coherently prepared medium,the stored atomic spin coherence can be transformed into three different information channels.Multiple frequency conversion is implemented efficiently by manipulating the spectra of the control fields to scatter atomic spin coherence.This multiple frequency conversion is expected to have potential applications in information processing and communication network.  相似文献

研究了少周期脉冲串作用下三能级原子中的布居转移和相干布居捕获现象.在非旋波近似的情况下求解了密度矩阵方程.研究结果表明在等时间间隔的锁相脉冲作用下,系统能级的布居逐步转移并积累,系统基态相干也逐步积累.在满足脉冲重复频率为基态能级频差的整数分之一倍时,三能级系统和频率梳中两梳齿频率成分作用形成相干布居捕获现象,原子暗态布居值达到最大,介质对脉冲透明.在适当选取少周期脉冲参量的情况下,在0.5个ns的时间内三能级系统相干性演化到最大后到达稳态,相干布居捕获发生.与脉宽为100个fs的多周期脉冲相比,少周期脉冲串在介质中建立相干布居捕获的时间缩短两个数量级.由于频率梳中与三能级系统发生作用的梳频成份有相同的频移,相干布居捕获的条件双光子共振仍然满足.因而,当两基态能级频率差较大时,如果选取少周期脉冲载波频率为系统能级1至2和1至3的传输频率之和的一半ω=(ω12)/2,室温下原子热运动的引起的多普勒频移并不会破坏相干布居捕获.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce optimal control algorithm for the design of pulse sequences in NMR spectroscopy. This methodology is used for designing pulse sequences that maximize the coherence transfer between coupled spins in a given specified time, minimize the relaxation effects in a given coherence transfer step or minimize the time required to produce a given unitary propagator, as desired. The application of these pulse engineering methods to design pulse sequences that are robust to experimentally important parameter variations, such as chemical shift dispersion or radiofrequency (rf) variations due to imperfections such as rf inhomogeneity is also explained.  相似文献

We propose a method of all-optical investigation of radiofrequency (RF) radiation based on the coherent effect of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT). It is shown that if the atomic coherence is perturbed by an RF field, the shape of probe pulse propagating in a three-level ??-type atomic medium under EIT conditions is modified correspondingly to the temporal structure of the RF pulse. The effect is sensitive to the parameters of the pulse which enables measuring the intensity and the spectrum of the RF pulse. The method can be used for storage and lossless transfer of RF information over long distances using optical pulses.  相似文献

Mathematical modeling of the population dynamics is performed for states of a three-level system (atom) with a V-type configuration transforming a light pulse. It is assumed that the excited eigenstates of the atom are degenerate and coupled by coherent interaction, one of the states being radiating (radiative), while the other state is nonradiating (??dark??). The population dynamics of atomic states is described on the basis of numerical solutions of equations for the matrix elements of the density operator. The dependence of the efficiency of population of the atomic dark state from the values of the parameters of an irradiation pulse and from the ratio of the period of population oscillations of excited atomic states (caused by their coherent interaction) to the lifetime of the atomic radiating state is determined. Typical examples of the time dependence of the population of states of the atom considered are presented for the cases of irradiation by a short (as compared to the lifetime of the radiating state) sinusoidal light pulse and by a long rectangular light pulse with the resonance carrier frequency.  相似文献

The dependence of the shift of an optical bistability hysteresis curve on the nonlinear phase shift induced by a controlling light is observed in a four-level atomic system of 87 Rb inside an optical ring cavity. In the process the intensity of the coupling beam keeps constant and the atomic system is operated at near conditions of coherent population trapping due to atomic coherence. The refractive and absorptive chi3 nonlinearities enhanced by atomic coherence provide the physical mechanism of the phenomena. Based on the effects, all-optical flip-flop and storage of optical pulse signals with a low peak power of several tens of microwatts are implemented.  相似文献

Transient processes are analyzed based on modified Bloch equations describing the interaction of optical radiation with dense resonant media with allowance for dipole-dipole interaction between atoms (the local-field effect). An analytical solution to the equation for the population difference of resonant atomic levels, taking into account the up-conversion processes, is obtained for a rectangular pulse in the quasi-stationary approximation. Computer simulation is performed for the kinetics of the population difference of resonant atomic levels in the field of a long sine-shaped pulse. It is shown that the time dynamics of the population difference of resonant atomic levels manifests characteristic features inherent in the intrinsic optical bistability effect under an adiabatically slow variation of the acting field.  相似文献

We experimentally study the controllable generation of a beating signal using stored light pulses based on electromagnetically induced transparency(EIT) in a solid medium. The beating signal relies on an asymmetric procedure of light storage and retrieval. After storing the probe pulse into the spin coherence under the EIT condition, two-color control fields with opposite detunings instead of the initial control field are used to scatter the stored spin coherence. The controllable beating signal is generated due to alternative constructive and destructive interferences in the retrieved signal intensities. The beating of the two-color control fields is mapped into the beating of weak probe fields by using atomic spin coherence. This beating signal will be important in precise atomic spectroscopy and fast quantum limited measurements.  相似文献
