Cross section production is one of the observable quantities in the hadronic systems. Inclusive cross section production J/ψ may be calculated through the use of the fragmentation c → J/ψ. In this paper we calculate the inclusive cross section production J/ψ about the pole of Z~0 in the e~+e~- annihilation, through the lowest order regim of perturbative of QCD ananlyticaly. The obtained results arrive an excellent agreement with the exprimental data to produce the inclusive cross section production c → J/ψ.  相似文献

Vacuum polarization is a part of the initial-state radiative correction for the cross-section of e~+e~- annihilation processes. In the energy region in the vicinity of narrow resonances J/ψ and ψ(3686), the vacuum polarization contribution from the resonant component has a significant effect on the line-shape of the lepton pair production cross-section. This paper discusses some basic concepts and describes an analytical calculation of the cross-section of e~+e~-→γ*/ψ→μ+μ-considering the single and double vacuum polarization effect of the virtual photon propagator. Moreover, it presents some numerical comparisons with the traditional treatments.  相似文献

This paper presents perturbative QCD predictions of the electron charge asymmetry for inclusive W~±X→e~±v+X production in proton-proton(pp) collisions.Perturbative QCD calculations are performed at nextto-next-to-leading order(NNLO) accuracy using different parton distribution function(PDF) models at 8,13,and 14 TeV center-of-mass energies of CERN LHC pp collisions.NNLO calculations are performed for electrons with transverse momenta above 20 GeV in the forward electron pseudorapidity region 2.0 ≤η_e≤4.25.NNLO predictions are first compared at 8 TeV with the measurements of the LHCb experiment at the LHC for the W~+/W~-cross section ratio and charge asymmetry distributions.The 8 TeV predictions using NNPDF3.1,CT14,and MMHT2014 PDF sets are reported to be in good agreement with the LHCb data for the entire η_e region,justifying the extension of the calculations to 13 and 14 TeV energies.The charge asymmetry predictions at NNLO accuracy are reported in the forward η_e bins at 13 and 14 TeV and compared among NNPDF3.1,CT14,and MMHT2014 PDF sets.Overall,the predicted W~± differential cross-section and charge asymmetry distributions based on different PDF sets are found to be consistent with each other for the entire η_e region.The charge asymmetry distributions are shown to be more sensitive to discriminate among different PDF models in terms of the 14 TeV predictions.  相似文献

We search for the ψ(4S) state in the B~±→ηJ/ψK~± and e~+e~-→ηJ/ψ processes based on the Belle measurements with the assumed mass M =(4230±8) MeV/c~2 and width Γ =(38±12) MeV. No significant signal is observed in the ηJ/ψ mass spectra. The 90% confidence level upper limit on the product branching fraction B(B~±→ψ(4S)K~±)B(ψ(4S)→ηJ/ψ) 6.8×10~(-6) is obtained in the B~±→ηJ/ψK~± decays. By assuming the partial width of ψ(4S)→e~+e~-to be 0.63 ke V, a branching fraction limitB(ψ(4S)→ηJ/ψ) 1.3% is obtained at the 90%confidence level in e~+e~-→ηJ/ψ, which is consistent with the theoretical prediction.  相似文献

We propose to use transverse momentum p_T distribution of J/ψ production at the future Electron Ion Collider(EIC) to explore the production mechanism of heavy quarkonia in high energy collisions.We apply QCD and QED collinear factorization to the production of a cc pair at high p_T,and non-relativistic QCD factorization to the hadronization of the pair to a J/ψ.We evaluate J/ψ p_T-distribution at both leading and next-to-leading order in strong coupling,and show that production rates for various color-spin channels of a cc pair in electronhadron collisions are very different from that in hadron-hadron collisions,which provides a strong discriminative power to determine various transition rates for the pair to become a J/ψ.We predict that the J/ψ produced in electron-hadron collisions is likely unpolarized,and the production is an ideal probe for gluon distribution of colliding hadron(or nucleus).We find that the J/ψ production is dominated by the color-octet channel,providing an excellent probe to explore the gluon medium in large nuclei at the EIC.  相似文献

We calculate the next-to-leading order(NLO) quantum chromodynamics(QCD) corrections to double charmonium production processes e+e-→γ*→ηc+hc(1P)/ψ1,2(1D) within the non-relativistic QCD(NRQCD)factorization framework. We find that the corrections to ηc+hc(1P) production are positive, while those to ηc+ψ1,2(1D)are negative. Unlike the J/ψ+ηc case, all the corrections here are not large. Uncertainties in the renormalization scale, quark mass and running energy of center-of-mass are discussed, and the scale dependence of these processes is found to be greatly reduced with the NLO QCD corrections.  相似文献

A detailed theoretical derivation of the cross sections of e~+e~-→e~+e~-and e~+e~-→μ+μ-around the J/ψ resonance is reported. The resonance and interference parts of the cross sections, related to J/ψ resonance parameters, are calculated. Higher-order corrections for vacuum polarization and initial-state radiation are considered. An arbitrary upper limit of radiative correction integration is involved. Full and simplified versions of analytic formulae are given with precision at the level of 0.1% and 0.2%, respectively. Moreover, the results obtained in the paper can be applied to the case of the ψ(3686) resonance.  相似文献

We investigate the J/Ψ? invariant mass distribution in the e~+e~-→γJ/Ψ? reaction at a center-of-mass energy of ■=4.6 GeV measured by the BESⅢ collaboration,which concluded that no significant signals were observed for e~+e~-→γX(4140) because of the low statistics.We show,however,that the J/Ψ? invariant mass distribution is compatible with the existence of the X(4140) state,appearing as a peak,and a strong cusp structure at the D_s~*■threshold,resulting from the molecular nature of the X(4160) state,which provides a substantial contribution to the reaction.This is consistent with our previous analysis of the B~+→J/Ψ?K~+decay measured by the LHCb collaboration.We strongly suggest further measurements of this process with more statistics to clarify the nature of the X(4140) and X(4160) resonances.  相似文献

Given the null results of searches for new physics at the LHC,we investigate the one-loop effects SUSY QCD in the process e~+e~-→tg at the ILC in Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model(MSSM).We find that the relative SUSY-QCD corrections to the cross section of e~+e~-→ tg can maximally reach 6.5%(3.2%) at the ILC with (1/2)s= 1000 GeV when m__1= 313.4 GeV and m_g =500(1500) GeV.  相似文献

In this paper,we calculated the B →(J/ψ,ηc) K decays in the perturbative QCD(pQCD) factorization approach with the inclusion of the partial next-to-leading order(NLO) contributions. With the inclusion of the significant enhancement from the NLO vertex corrections,the NLO pQCD predictions for the branching ratios agree with the data within 2σ errors:Br(B0 → J/ψK0) = 5.2-+32..58×10-4,Br(B+ → J/ψK+) = 5.6-+32..79×10-4,Br(B0 →ηcK0) = 5.5-+22..30 × 10-4,Br(B+ →ηcK+) = 5.9-+22..51 × 10-4.  相似文献

We study the decay process of J/ψ→e~+e~-φ where the relatively clean electromagnetic(EM) transitions appear at leading order at tree level while the hadronic contributions only emerge via hadronic loop transitions. We include the low-lying scalar f_0(980) and pseudoscalar η/η as the dominant contributions in the evaluation of the hadronic loop contributions. It is found that the hadronic effects are negligible compared with the EM contributions.The decay width of J/ψ→e~+e~-φ is determined to be about 2.12 × 10~(-6) ke V if there is no other leading mechanism contributing. This result will be tested by the BESIII experiment with a large J/ψ data sample.  相似文献

We report the methods and plans for measuring the differential cross section of J/ψ→μ^+μ^- production, using data to be collected in the first LHC run by the CMS detector. Making use of the large B-hadron lifetime, we show how to separate the promptly produced J/ψ’s from those coming from B-hadron decays. Since the J/ψ production cross section is expected to be large, the analysis should be viable with relatively small data sets, that will become available early in the startup of the LHC. We also address effects of a non-perfect detector alignment, as well as systematic uncertainties. About 70 thousand J/ψ decays are reconstructed from Monte Carlo data, which corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 3 pb^-1 in 14 TeV collisions, in the range of pT^J/ ψbetween 5 and 40 GeV/c. The precision of the result is limited by systematic uncertainties, and is at the 15% level.  相似文献

By analyzing the large-angle Bhabha scattering events e~+e~-→(γ)e~+e~-and diphoton events e~+e~-→(γ)γγ for the data sets collected at center-of-mass(c.m.) energies between 2.2324 and 4.5900 Ge V(131 energy points in total) with the upgraded Beijing Spectrometer(BESIII) at the Beijing Electron-Positron Collider(BEPCII), the integrated luminosities have been measured at the different c.m. energies, individually. We study one possible production mechanism for the hidden-charm pentaquark via a color-octet cc pair fragmentation in e~+e~-collision.The pentaquark production at B factory energy is dominated by e~+e~-→ccg→P_c+X,while at Z~0pole energy,there are several partonic processes playing significant role.Our results show that it is possible to search for the direct pentaquark production signal at e~+e~-colliders,which is important to understand the properties of pentaquark.  相似文献

Based on the nonrelativistic QCD factorization approach, O(αsv2) corrections to J/ψ plus ηc production in e+e-annihilation at √ s=10.6 GeV are calculated in this work. The numerical results show that the correction at αsv2order is only about a few percent of the total theoretical result. This indicates that the perturbative expansions become convergent and that a higher order correction will be smaller. The uncertainties from the long-distance matrix elements, renormalization scale and the measurement in the experiment are also discussed. Our result is in agreement with the previous result by Jia.  相似文献

Based on the quark-gluon contents of nucleon and strongly believing that the force mediators, Pomeron and its counterpart in the conventional approach of Regge theory, for high energy diffractive process would be the tensor glueball and Odderon respectively, we discuss photo-production of vector meson Ф off the deuteron at energy less than 3 GeV in the QCD inspired model in which the quark gluon degrees of freedom and glueball, Odderon exchange are taken into account. A calculation is performed for γ + D →Ф + D, and the theoretical predictions of the differential cross section dσ^γD/dt, are presented and compared with available experimental data. Our QCD inspired model reproduces data quite well in the whole range of the experimental measurements up to |t| ≌ 0.4 GeV. Our results can be used to extract γn → Фn data, which cannot be measured in experiment.  相似文献

We study the J/ψ pair production issue at the Fermilab Tevatron Run II with a center-of-mass energy of s1/2=1.96TeV. Both the color-singlet and color-octet production mechanisms are considered. Our results show that the transverse momentum (pT) scaling behaviors of the double J/ψ differential cross-sections in the color-singlets and color-octets deviate distinctively from each other while pT is larger than 8GeV, and with a luminosity of 5fb-1 , the J/ψ pair events from the color-singlet scheme are substantially measurable in the Tevatron experiments, even with a certain lower transverse momentum cut. Hence the Tevatron is still a possible platform to check the heavy quarkonium production mechanism.  相似文献

The color singlet and color octet mechanisms for heavy quarkonium production are reviewed within nonrelativistic QCD, and be used to deal with the direct photon and resolved photon processes respectively. Comparing with the leading order results of J/ψ production, the numerical results show that the modification of photoproduction processes for J/ψ production become obvious at large p-T region.  相似文献

We study the triply heavy baryons Ω_(QQQ)(Q=c,b) in the QCD sum rules by performing the first calculation of the next-to-leading order(NLO) contribution to the perturbative QCD part of the correlation functions.Compared with the leading order(LO) result,the NLO contribution is found to be very important to the Ω_(QQQ).This is because the NLO not only results in a large correction but also reduces the parameter dependence,making the Borel platform more distinct,especially for the Qbbb in the ■ scheme,where the platform appears only at NLO but not at LO.Particularly,owing to the inclusion of the NLO contribution,the renormalization schemes(■ and On-Shell) dependence and the scale dependence are significantly reduced.Consequently,after including the NLO contribution to the perturbative part in the QCD sum rules,the masses are estimated to be 4.53_(-0.11) ~(+0.26) GeV for Ω_(ccc) and14.27_(-0.32) ~(+0.33) GeV for Ω_(bbb),where the results are obtained at μ=M_B with errors including those from the variation of the renormalization scale μ in the range(0.8-1.2)M_B.A careful study of the μ dependence in a wider range is further performed,which shows that the LO results are very sensitive to the choice of μ whereas the NLO results are considerably better.In addition to the μ=M_B result,a more stable value,(4.75-4.80) GeV,for the Ω_(ccc) mass is found in the range of μ=(1.2-2.0)M_B,which should be viewed as a more relevant prediction in our NLO approach because of μ dependence.  相似文献

With a 15M J/ψ inclusive Monte Carlo sample, the absolute branching fraction of J/ψ→γη′ from the J/ψ inclusive photon spectrum is measured to be Br(J/ψ→γη′)= (4.68 ± 0.08± 0.27) × 10-3, which is in good agreement with the input value. The J/ψ→γfJ(2220) is also searched for using the same sample. Under our assumptions, the statistical significanees of J/ψ→γfJ(2220) are larger than 7σ.  相似文献
