Heterogeneity of the neurons and noise are inevitable in the real neuronal network. In this paper, Gaussian white noise induced spatial patterns including spiral waves and multiple spatial coherence resonances are studied in a network composed of Morris-Lecar neurons with heterogeneity characterized by parameter diversity. The relationship between the resonances and the transitions between ordered spiral waves and disordered spatial patterns are achieved. When parameter diversity is introduced, the maxima of multiple resonances increases first, and then decreases as diversity strength increases, which implies that the coherence degrees induced by noise are enhanced at an intermediate diversity strength. The synchronization degree of spatial patterns including ordered spiral waves and disordered patterns is identified to be a very low level. The results suggest that the nervous system can profit from both heterogeneity and noise, and the multiple spatial coherence resonances are achieved via the emergency of spiral waves instead of synchronization patterns.  相似文献

Diversity in the neurons and noise are inevitable in the real neuronal network. In this paper, parameter diversity induced spiral waves and multiple spatial coherence resonances in a two-dimensional neuronal network without or with noise are simulated. The relationship between the multiple resonances and the multiple transitions between patterns of spiral waves are identified. The coherence degrees induced by the diversity are suppressed when noise is introduced and noise density is increased. The results suggest that natural nervous system might profit from both parameter diversity and noise, provided a possible approach to control formation and transition of spiral wave by the cooperation between the diversity and noise.  相似文献

为研究噪声在网络中的作用及对时空行为的影响, 通过电耦合、近邻连接的Morris-Lecar模型构建了同质可兴奋细胞网络. 单元振子的确定性行为表现为Ⅱ型兴奋性的静息. 在高斯白噪声的作用下, 网络会在较大的噪声强度范围产生螺旋波, 以及在某些较小的噪声强度范围产生杂乱的空间结构. 随着噪声强度的增加, 螺旋波的结构会在简单和复杂之间转换, 或与杂乱的空间结构交替出现. 通过空间结构函数及其信噪比的计算, 发现简单螺旋波的信噪比较大, 复杂螺旋波以及杂乱的时空结构的信噪比较小. 信噪比随着噪声强度的增加会出现多次极大值, 说明白噪声可以在可兴奋细胞网络中诱导多次空间相干共振. 研究结果提示现实的可兴奋系统能有多次机会选择不同强度的噪声加以合理利用.  相似文献

The effects of additive correlated noise, which is composed of common Gaussian white noise and local Gaussian colored noise, on a square lattice network locally modelled by the Rulkov map are studied. We focus on the ability of noise to induce pattern formation in a resonant manner. It is shown that local Gaussian colored noise is able to induce pattern formation, which is more coherent at some noise intensity or correlation time, so it is able to induce spatiotemporal coherence resonance in the network. When common Gaussian white noise is applied in addition, it is seen that the correlated noise can induce coherent spatial structures at some intermediate noise correlation, while this is not the case for smaller and larger noise intensities. The mechanism of the observed spatiotemporal coherence resonance is discussed. It is also found that the correlation time of local colored noise has no evident effect on the optimal value of the noise strength for spatiotemporal coherence resonance in the network.  相似文献

The phenomenon of stochastic resonance (SR) in a bistable nonlinear system is studied when the system is driven by the asymmetric potential and additive Gaussian colored noise. Using the unified colored noise approximation method, the additive Gaussian colored noise can be simplified to additive Gaussian white noise. The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is calculated according to the generalized two-state theory (shown in [H.S. Wio and S. Bouzat, Brazilian J.Phys. 29 (1999) 136]). We find that the SNR increases with the proximity of a to zero. In addition, the correlation time T between the additive Gaussian colored noise is also an ingredient to improve SR. The shorter the correlation time T between the Gaussian additive colored noise is, the higher of the peak value of SNR.  相似文献

Spatiotemporal multiple coherence resonances for calcium activities induced by weak Gaussian white noise in coupled hepatocytes are studied. It is shown that bi-resonances in hepatocytes are induced by the interplay and competition between noise and coupling of cells, in other words, the cell in network can be excited either by noise or by its neighbour via gap junction which can transfer calcium ions between cells. Furthermore, the intercellular annular calcium waves induced by noise are observed, in which the wave length decreases with noise intensity augmenting but increases monotonically with coupling strength increasing. And for a fixed noise level, there is an optimal coupling strength that makes the coherence resonance reach maximum.  相似文献

Spatial coherence resonance in a two-dimensional neuronal network induced by additive Gaussian coloured noise and parameter diversity is studied. We focus on the ability of additive Gaussian coloured noise and parameter diversity to extract a particular spatial frequency (wave number) of excitatory waves in the excitable medium of this network. We show that there exists an intermediate noise level of the coloured noise and a particular value of diversity, where a characteristic spatial frequency of the system comes forth. Hereby, it is verified that spatial coherence resonance occurs in the studied model. Furthermore, we show that the optimal noise intensity for spatial coherence resonance decays exponentially with respect to the noise correlation time. Some explanations of the observed nonlinear phenomena are also presented.  相似文献

We discuss the dynamical behavior of a chemical network arising from the coupling of two Brusselators established by the relationship between products and substrates. Our interest is to investigate the coherence resonance(CR)phenomena caused by noise for a coupled Brusselator model in the vicinity of the Hopf bifurcation, which can be determined by the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR). The CR in two coupled Brusselators will be considered in the presence of the Gaussian colored noise and two uncorrelated Gaussian white noises. Simulation results show that,for the case of single noise, the SNR characterizing the degree of temporal regularity of coupled model reaches a maximum value at some optimal noise levels, and the noise intensity can enhance the CR phenomena of both subsystems with a similar trend but in different resonance degrees. Meanwhile, effects of noise intensities on CR of the second subsystem are opposite for the systems under two uncorrelated Gaussian white noises. Moreover,we find that CR might be a general phenomenon in coupled systems.  相似文献

White noise-induced pattern formation is studied in a network composed of Morris–Lecar neuronal models with type I excitability and with initial values higher than that of the resting potential. The appearance and disappearance of spiral waves, as well as the transitions between spiral wave patterns with different kinds of complexity characterized by the normalized spatial autocorrelation function, enable changes in the order of the network so as to exhibit a scenario with two or more locally maximal peaks, as can be clearly seen in the signal to noise ratio curves, as the noise intensity is adjusted from small to large in a wide range. A possible physical mechanism of the multiple resonances based on the dynamics of type I excitability and initial values is provided. The potential biological significance of the noise-induced spiral waves is discussed.  相似文献

神经元电活动可以从静息通过Hopf分岔到放电,放电频率有固定周期;也可以从静息通过鞍-结分岔到放电,放电频率接近零.在具有周期性的相位噪声作用下的Hopf分岔和鞍-结分岔点附近,都会产生相干共振.噪声的周期小于Hopf分岔点附近的放电的周期时,相位噪声可以引起神经系统产生一次相干共振,位于系统内在的固有频率附近;噪声的周期大于系统的固有周期时,相位噪声可以引起双共振,对应低噪声强度的共振产生在噪声频率附近,对应高噪声强度的共振产生在系统的固有频率附近;并对双共振的产生原因进行了解释.在鞍-结分岔点附近,无论噪声的周期是大是小,都只会引起一次共振,研究结果不仅揭示了相位噪声作用下平衡点分岔点相干共振的动力学特性和对应于两类分岔的两类神经兴奋性的差别,还对近期的相位噪声诱发产生单或双共振的不同研究结果给出了解释.  相似文献

We report the observation of modulational instability (MI) of a partially spatially incoherent beam induced by seeding noise through cross-phase modulation. We show experimentally that a threshold exists for such induced incoherent MI to occur that depends on the degree of spatial coherence as well as on the strength of the nonlinearity. Above threshold, the induced MI leads to the formation of ordered and disordered patterns of incoherent light.  相似文献

It has been identified that autapse can modulate dynamics of single neurons and spatial patterns of neuronal networks. In the present paper, based on the results that autapse can induce type II excitability changed to type I excitability, spatial pattern transitions are simulated in a two-dimensional neuronal network composed of excitatory coupled neurons with autapse which can induce excitability transition. Different spatial patterns including random-like pattern, irregular wave, regular wave, and nearly synchronous behavior are simulated with increasing the percentage (σ) of neurons with type I excitability. When noise is introduced, spiral waves are induced. By calculating signal-to-noise ratio from the spatial structure function and the mean firing probability of neurons, regular waves and spiral waves exhibit optimal spatial correlation, implying the occurrence of spatial coherence resonance phenomenon. The changes of mean firing probability of neurons show that different firing frequency between type I excitability and type II excitability may be an important factor to modulate the spatial patterns. The results are helpful to understand the spatial patterns including spiral waves observed in the biological experiment on the rat cortex perfused with drugs which can induce single neurons changed from type II excitability to type I excitability and block the inhibitory couplings between neurons. The excitability transition, absence of inhibitory coupling, noise as well as the autapse are important factors to modulate the spatial patterns including spiral waves.  相似文献

针对阵列信号处理中空间相干性低、频域有色且通道间具有相同功率谱的噪声模型,分别基于确定性信号模型与随机性信号模型,提出一种加权最大似然(Weighted Maximum Likelihood,WML)波达方向估计算法。数据仿真实验表明,该算法提高了由空间非相干且一致有色噪声引起的低信噪比条件下的波达方向估计精度。户外实验验证了该算法在风噪声条件下的有效性。   相似文献

When we use a traditional adaptive line enhancer (ALE) algorithm to detect an underwater moving target, there are two disadvantages: the ability to suppress colored Gaussian noise is low and the lower the SNR is, the worse the performance of the ALE algorithm. In order to greatly overcome these disadvantages, we take full advantage of the capability of higher order cumulants to alleviate the effect of colored Gaussian noise and develop a fourth order cumulant non-diagonal slice-based adaptive dynamic line enhancer (FOCNDSBADLE) algorithm and fourth order cumulant diagonal slice-based adaptive dynamic line enhancer (FOCDSBADLE) algorithm. The adaptive filtering coefficients of these algorithms are indirectly updated by the instantaneous fourth order cumulant slices. It is shown that these slices are comprised of noiseless sinusoids if the input signals are comprised of sinusoids corrupted by Gaussian noise. Therefore these algorithms are fit to handle highly colored Gaussian noise. Simulation tests are carried out using the measured data radiated by the underwater moving target. Simulation results have shown that the FOCNDSBADLE algorithm and FOCDSBADLE algorithm outperform the ALE algorithm and that the FOCNDSBADLE algorithm outperforms the FOCDSBADLE algorithm in the case of Gaussian noise.  相似文献

Previous works have shown that time asymmetric forcing on the one hand, as well as non-Gaussian noises on the other, can separately enhance the efficiency and current of a Brownian motor. Here, we study the result of subjecting a Brownian motor to both effects simultaneously. Our results have been compared with those obtained for the Gaussian white noise regime in the adiabatic limit. We find that, although the inclusion of the time asymmetry parameter increases the efficiency value up to a certain extent, for the present case this increase is much less appreciable than in the white noise case. We also present a comparative study of the transport coherence in the context of colored noise. Though the efficiency in some cases becomes higher for the non-Gaussian case, the Péclet number is always higher in the Gaussian colored noise case than in the white noise as well as non-Gaussian colored noise cases.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the effect of time-periodic coupling strength (TPCS) on the spiking coherence of Newman-Watts small-world networks of stochastic Hodgkin-Huxley (HH) neurons and investigate the relations between the coupling strength and channel noise when coherence resonance (CR) occurs. It is found that, when the amplitude of TPCS is varied, the spiking induced by channel noise can exhibit CR and coherence bi-resonance (CBR), and the CR moves to a smaller patch area (bigger channel noise) when the amplitude increases; when the frequency of TPCS is varied, the intrinsic spiking can exhibit CBR and multiple CR, and the CR always occurs when the frequency is equal to or multiple of the spiking period, manifesting as the locking between the frequencies of the intrinsic spiking and the coupling strength. These results show that TPCS can greatly enhance and optimize the intrinsic spiking coherence, and favors the spiking with bigger channel noise to exhibit CR. This implies that, compared to constant coupling strength, TPCS may play a more efficient role for improving the time precision of the information processing in stochastic neuronal networks.  相似文献

The influence of delayed-time and colored-noise in a bistable system subject to asymmetric dichotomous noise and colored noise is studied. Applying small delay-time approximation, under the adiabatic limit condition, the expression of the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the system is obtained. It is found that, the SNR varies non-monotonously with the delayed-time and the correlation of the colored noise. Moreover, the SNR exhibits SR behavior when it is plotted as a function of the intensity and asymmetry of the dichotomous noise, and as a function of the strength of the colored noise.  相似文献
